And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory.

And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.

For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.

And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
| 4 Y oí otra voz del cielo, que decía: Salid de ella, pueblo mío, para que no seáis partícipes de sus pecados, ni recibáis parte de sus plagas; | 4 Und ich hörte eine andre Stimme vom Himmel, die sprach: Geht hinaus aus ihr, mein Volk, daß ihr nicht teilhabt an ihren Sünden und nichts empfangt von ihren Plagen! |

For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.
| 5 porque sus pecados han llegado hasta el cielo, y Dios se ha acordado de sus maldades. | 5 Denn ihre Sünden reichen bis an den Himmel, und Gott denkt an ihren Frevel. |

Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double.

How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.
| 7 Cuanto ella se ha glorificado y ha vivido en deleites, tanto dadle de tormento y llanto; porque dice en su corazón: Yo estoy sentada como reina, y no soy viuda, y no veré llanto; | 7 Wieviel Herrlichkeit und Üppigkeit sie gehabt hat, soviel Qual und Leid schenkt ihr ein! Denn sie spricht in ihrem Herzen: Ich throne hier und bin eine Königin und bin keine Witwe, und Leid werde ich nicht sehen. |

Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her.
| 8 por lo cual en un solo día vendrán sus plagas; muerte, llanto y hambre, y será quemada con fuego; porque poderoso es Dios el Señor, que la juzga. | 8 Darum werden ihre Plagen an einem Tag kommen, Tod, Leid und Hunger, und mit Feuer wird sie verbrannt werden; denn stark ist Gott der Herr, der sie richtet. |

And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning,
| 9 Y los reyes de la tierra que han fornicado con ella, y con ella han vivido en deleites, llorarán y harán lamentación sobre ella, cuando vean el humo de su incendio, | 9 Und es werden sie beweinen und beklagen die Könige auf Erden, die mit ihr gehurt und gepraßt haben, wenn sie sehen werden den Rauch von ihrem Brand, in dem sie verbrennt. |

Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come.
| 10 parándose lejos por el temor de su tormento, diciendo: ¡Ay, ay, de la gran ciudad de Babilonia, la ciudad fuerte; porque en una hora vino tu juicio! | 10 Sie werden fernab stehen aus Furcht vor ihrer Qual und sprechen: Weh, weh, du große Stadt Babylon, du starke Stadt, in einer Stunde ist dein Gericht gekommen! |

And the merchants of the earth shall weep and mourn over her; for no man buyeth their merchandise any more:

The merchandise of gold, and silver, and precious stones, and of pearls, and fine linen, and purple, and silk, and scarlet, and all thyine wood, and all manner vessels of ivory, and all manner vessels of most precious wood, and of brass, and iron, and marble,
| 12 mercadería de oro, de plata, de piedras preciosas, de perlas, de lino fino, de púrpura, de seda, de escarlata, de toda madera olorosa, de todo objeto de marfil, de todo objeto de madera preciosa, de cobre, de hierro y de mármol; | 12 Gold und Silber und Edelsteine und Perlen und feines Leinen und Purpur und Seide und Scharlach und allerlei wohlriechende Hölzer und allerlei Gerät aus Elfenbein und allerlei Gerät aus kostbarem Holz und Erz und Eisen und Marmor |

And cinnamon, and odours, and ointments, and frankincense, and wine, and oil, and fine flour, and wheat, and beasts, and sheep, and horses, and chariots, and slaves, and souls of men.
| 13 y canela, especias aromáticas, incienso, mirra, olíbano, vino, aceite, flor de harina, trigo, bestias, ovejas, caballos y carros, y esclavos, almas de hombres. | 13 und Zimt und Balsam und Räucherwerk und Myrrhe und Weihrauch und Wein und Öl und feinstes Mehl und Weizen und Vieh und Schafe und Pferde und Wagen und Leiber und Seelen von Menschen. |

And the fruits that thy soul lusted after are departed from thee, and all things which were dainty and goodly are departed from thee, and thou shalt find them no more at all.
| 14 Los frutos codiciados por tu alma se apartaron de ti, y todas las cosas exquisitas y espléndidas te han faltado, y nunca más las hallarás. | 14 Und das Obst, an dem deine Seele Lust hatte, ist dahin; und alles, was glänzend und herrlich war, ist für dich verloren, und man wird es nicht mehr finden. |

The merchants of these things, which were made rich by her, shall stand afar off for the fear of her torment, weeping and wailing,

And saying, Alas, alas, that great city, that was clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and precious stones, and pearls!
| 16 y diciendo: ¡Ay, ay, de la gran ciudad, que estaba vestida de lino fino, de púrpura y de escarlata, y estaba adornada de oro, de piedras preciosas y de perlas! | 16 Weh, weh, du große Stadt, die bekleidet war mit feinem Leinen und Purpur und Scharlach und geschmückt war mit Gold und Edelsteinen und Perlen, |

For in one hour so great riches is come to nought. And every shipmaster, and all the company in ships, and sailors, and as many as trade by sea, stood afar off,

And cried when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, What city is like unto this great city!
| 18 y viendo el humo de su incendio, dieron voces, diciendo: ¿Qué ciudad era semejante a esta gran ciudad? | 18 und schrien, als sie den Rauch von ihrem Brand sahen: Wer ist der großen Stadt gleich? |

And they cast dust on their heads, and cried, weeping and wailing, saying, Alas, alas, that great city, wherein were made rich all that had ships in the sea by reason of her costliness! for in one hour is she made desolate.
| 19 Y echaron polvo sobre sus cabezas, y dieron voces, llorando y lamentando, diciendo: ¡Ay, ay de la gran ciudad, en la cual todos los que tenían naves en el mar se habían enriquecido de sus riquezas; pues en una hora ha sido desolada! | 19 Und sie warfen Staub auf ihre Häupter und schrien, weinten und klagten: Weh, weh, du große Stadt, von deren Überfluß reich geworden sind alle, die Schiffe auf dem Meer hatten; denn in einer Stunde ist sie verwüstet! |

Rejoice over her, thou heaven, and ye holy apostles and prophets; for God hath avenged you on her.
| 20 Alégrate sobre ella, cielo, y vosotros, santos, apóstoles y profetas; porque Dios os ha hecho justicia en ella. | 20 Freue dich über sie, Himmel, und ihr Heiligen und Apostel und Propheten! Denn Gott hat sie gerichtet um euretwillen. |

And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all.
| 21 Y un ángel poderoso tomó una piedra, como una gran piedra de molino, y la arrojó en el mar, diciendo: Con el mismo ímpetu será derribada Babilonia, la gran ciudad, y nunca más será hallada. | 21 Und ein starker Engel hob einen Stein auf, groß wie ein Mühlstein, warf ihn ins Meer und sprach: So wird in einem Sturm niedergeworfen die große Stadt Babylon und nicht mehr gefunden werden. |

And the voice of harpers, and musicians, and of pipers, and trumpeters, shall be heard no more at all in thee; and no craftsman, of whatsoever craft he be, shall be found any more in thee; and the sound of a millstone shall be heard no more at all in thee;
| 22 Y voz de arpistas, de músicos, de flautistas y de trompeteros no se oirá más en ti; y ningún artífice de oficio alguno se hallará más en ti, ni ruido de molino se oirá más en ti. | 22 Und die Stimme der Sänger und Saitenspieler, Flötenspieler und Posaunenbläser soll nicht mehr in dir gehört werden, und kein Handwerker irgendeines Handwerks soll mehr in dir gefunden werden, und das Geräusch der Mühle soll nicht mehr in dir gehört werden, |

And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived.
| 23 Luz de lámpara no alumbrará más en ti, ni voz de esposo y de esposa se oirá más en ti; porque tus mercaderes eran los grandes de la tierra; pues por tus hechicerías fueron engañadas todas las naciones. | 23 und das Licht der Lampe soll nicht mehr in dir leuchten, und die Stimme des Bräutigams und der Braut soll nicht mehr in dir gehört werden. Denn deine Kaufleute waren Fürsten auf Erden, und durch deine Zauberei sind verführt worden alle Völker; |

And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth. | 24 Y en ella se halló la sangre de los profetas y de los santos, y de todos los que han sido muertos en la tierra. | 24 und das Blut der Propheten und der Heiligen ist in ihr gefunden worden, und das Blut aller derer, die auf Erden umgebracht worden sind. |
