To the chief Musician, A Psalm for the sons of Korah. Hear this, all ye people; give ear, all ye inhabitants of the world:

Both low and high, rich and poor, together.

My mouth shall speak of wisdom; and the meditation of my heart shall be of understanding.

Y el pensamiento de mi corazón inteligencia. | 3 einfache Leute und Herren, reich und arm, miteinander! |

I will incline mine ear to a parable: I will open my dark saying upon the harp.

Declararé con el arpa mi enigma. | 4 Mein Mund soll Weisheit reden, und was mein Herz sagt, soll verständig sein. |

Wherefore should I fear in the days of evil, when the iniquity of my heels shall compass me about?
| 5 ¿Por qué he de temer en los días de adversidad,
Cuando la iniquidad de mis opresores me rodeare? | 5 Ich will einem Spruch mein Ohr neigen und mein Rätselwort kundtun beim Klang der Harfe. |

They that trust in their wealth, and boast themselves in the multitude of their riches;
| 6 Los que confían en sus bienes,
Y de la muchedumbre de sus riquezas se jactan, | 6 Warum sollte ich mich fürchten in bösen Tagen, wenn mich die Missetat meiner Widersacher umgibt, |

None of them can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him:
| 7 Ninguno de ellos podrá en manera alguna redimir al hermano, | 7 die sich verlassen auf Hab und Gut und pochen auf ihren großen Reichtum? |

(For the redemption of their soul is precious, and it ceaseth for ever:)
| 8 Porque la redención de su vida es de gran precio,
Y no se logrará jamás, | 8 Kann doch keiner einen andern auslösen oder für ihn an Gott ein Sühnegeld geben |

That he should still live for ever, and not see corruption.
| 9 Para que viva en adelante para siempre,
Y nunca vea corrupción. | 9 - denn es kostet zuviel, ihr Leben auszulösen; er muß davon abstehen ewiglich -, |

For he seeth that wise men die, likewise the fool and the brutish person perish, and leave their wealth to others.
| 10 Pues verá que aun los sabios mueren;
Que perecen del mismo modo que el insensato y el necio,
Y dejan a otros sus riquezas. | 10 damit er immer weiterlebe und die Grube nicht sehe. |

Their inward thought is, that their houses shall continue for ever, and their dwelling places to all generations; they call their lands after their own names.
| 11 Su íntimo pensamiento es que sus casas serán eternas,
Y sus habitaciones para generación y generación;
Dan sus nombres a sus tierras. | 11 Nein, er wird sehen: auch die Weisen sterben, so wie die Toren und Narren umkommen; sie müssen ihr Gut andern lassen. |

Nevertheless man being in honour abideth not: he is like the beasts that perish.
| 12 Mas el hombre no permanecerá en honra;
Es semejante a las bestias que perecen. | 12 Gräber sind ihr Haus immerdar, ihre Wohnung für und für, und doch hatten sie große Ehre auf Erden. |

This their way is their folly: yet their posterity approve their sayings. Selah.

Con todo, sus descendientes se complacen en el dicho de ellos. | 13 EIN MENSCH IN SEINER HERRLICHKEIT KANN NICHT BLEIBEN, SONDERN MUSS DAVON WIE DAS VIEH. |

Like sheep they are laid in the grave; death shall feed on them; and the upright shall have dominion over them in the morning; and their beauty shall consume in the grave from their dwelling.
| 14 Como a rebaños que son conducidos al Seol,
La muerte los pastoreará,
Y los rectos se enseñorearán de ellos por la mañana;
Se consumirá su buen parecer, y el Seol será su morada. | 14 Dies ist der Weg derer, die so voll Torheit sind, und das Ende aller, denen ihr Gerede so wohl gefällt. SELA. |

But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave: for he shall receive me. Selah.
| 15 Pero Dios redimirá mi vida del poder del Seol,
Porque él me tomará consigo. | 15 Sie liegen bei den Toten wie Schafe, der Tod weidet sie; aber die Frommen werden gar bald über sie herrschen, und ihr Trotz muß vergehen; bei den Toten müssen sie bleiben. |

Be not thou afraid when one is made rich, when the glory of his house is increased;
| 16 No temas cuando se enriquece alguno,
Cuando aumenta la gloria de su casa; | 16 Aber Gott wird mich erlösen aus des Todes Gewalt; denn er nimmt mich auf. SELA. |

For when he dieth he shall carry nothing away: his glory shall not descend after him.
| 17 Porque cuando muera no llevará nada,
Ni descenderá tras él su gloria. | 17 Laß es dich nicht anfechten, wenn einer reich wird, wenn die Herrlichkeit seines Hauses groß wird. |

Though while he lived he blessed his soul: and men will praise thee, when thou doest well to thyself.
| 18 Aunque mientras viva, llame dichosa a su alma,
Y sea loado cuando prospere, | 18 Denn er wird nichts bei seinem Sterben mitnehmen, und seine Herrlichkeit wird ihm nicht nachfahren. |

He shall go to the generation of his fathers; they shall never see light.
| 19 Entrará en la generación de sus padres,
Y nunca más verá la luz. | 19 Er freut sich wohl dieses guten Lebens, und man preist dich, wenn es dir gut geht. |

Man that is in honour, and understandeth not, is like the beasts that perish. | 20 El hombre que está en honra y no entiende,
Semejante es a las bestias que perecen.
