Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.
| 1 Guardaos de hacer vuestra justicia delante de los hombres, para ser vistos de ellos; de otra manera no tendréis recompensa de vuestro Padre que está en los cielos. | 1 Habt acht auf eure Frömmigkeit, daß ihr die nicht übt vor den Leuten, um von ihnen gesehen zu werden; ihr habt sonst keinen Lohn bei eurem Vater im Himmel. |

Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
| 2 Cuando, pues, des limosna, no hagas tocar trompeta delante de ti, como hacen los hipócritas en las sinagogas y en las calles, para ser alabados por los hombres; de cierto os digo que ya tienen su recompensa. | 2 Wenn du nun Almosen gibst, sollst du es nicht vor dir ausposaunen lassen, wie es die Heuchler tun in den Synagogen und auf den Gassen, damit sie von den Leuten gepriesen werden. Wahrlich, ich sage euch: Sie haben ihren Lohn schon gehabt. |

But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:
| 3 Mas cuando tú des limosna, no sepa tu izquierda lo que hace tu derecha, | 3 Wenn du aber Almosen gibst, so laß deine linke Hand nicht wissen, was die rechte tut, |

That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.
| 4 para que sea tu limosna en secreto; y tu Padre que ve en lo secreto te recompensará en público. | 4 damit dein Almosen verborgen bleibe; und dein Vater, der in das Verborgene sieht, wird dir's vergelten. |

And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
| 5 Y cuando ores, no seas como los hipócritas; porque ellos aman el orar en pie en las sinagogas y en las esquinas de las calles, para ser vistos de los hombres; de cierto os digo que ya tienen su recompensa. | 5 Und wenn ihr betet, sollt ihr nicht sein wie die Heuchler, die gern in den Synagogen und an den Straßenecken stehen und beten, damit sie von den Leuten gesehen werden. Wahrlich, ich sage euch: Sie haben ihren Lohn schon gehabt. |

But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
| 6 Mas tú, cuando ores, entra en tu aposento, y cerrada la puerta, ora a tu Padre que está en secreto; y tu Padre que ve en lo secreto te recompensará en público. | 6 Wenn du aber betest, so geh in dein Kämmerlein und schließ die Tür zu und bete zu deinem Vater, der im Verborgenen ist; und dein Vater, der in das Verborgene sieht, wird dir's vergelten. |

But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
| 7 Y orando, no uséis vanas repeticiones, como los gentiles, que piensan que por su palabrería serán oídos. | 7 Und wenn ihr betet, sollt ihr nicht viel plappern wie die Heiden; denn sie meinen, sie werden erhört, wenn sie viele Worte machen. |

Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
| 8 No os hagáis, pues, semejantes a ellos; porque vuestro Padre sabe de qué cosas tenéis necesidad, antes que vosotros le pidáis. | 8 Darum sollt ihr ihnen nicht gleichen. Denn euer Vater weiß, was ihr bedürft, bevor ihr ihn bittet. |

After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
| 12 Y perdónanos nuestras deudas, como también nosotros perdonamos a nuestros deudores. | 12 Und vergib uns unsere Schuld, wie auch wir vergeben unsern Schuldigern. |

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
| 14 Porque si perdonáis a los hombres sus ofensas, os perdonará también a vosotros vuestro Padre celestial; | 14 Denn wenn ihr den Menschen ihre Verfehlungen vergebt, so wird euch euer himmlischer Vater auch vergeben. |

But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
| 15 mas si no perdonáis a los hombres sus ofensas, tampoco vuestro Padre os perdonará vuestras ofensas. | 15 Wenn ihr aber den Menschen nicht vergebt, so wird euch euer Vater eure Verfehlungen auch nicht vergeben. |

Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
| 16 Cuando ayunéis, no seáis austeros, como los hipócritas; porque ellos demudan sus rostros para mostrar a los hombres que ayunan; de cierto os digo que ya tienen su recompensa. | 16 Wenn ihr fastet, sollt ihr nicht sauer dreinsehen wie die Heuchler; denn sie verstellen ihr Gesicht, um sich vor den Leuten zu zeigen mit ihrem Fasten. Wahrlich, ich sage euch: Sie haben ihren Lohn schon gehabt. |

But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face;
| 17 Pero tú, cuando ayunes, unge tu cabeza y lava tu rostro, | 17 Wenn du aber fastest, so salbe dein Haupt und wasche dein Gesicht, |

That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly.
| 18 para no mostrar a los hombres que ayunas, sino a tu Padre que está en secreto; y tu Padre que ve en lo secreto te recompensará en público. | 18 damit du dich nicht vor den Leuten zeigst mit deinem Fasten, sondern vor deinem Vater, der im Verborgenen ist; und dein Vater, der in das Verborgene sieht, wird dir's vergelten. |

Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
| 19 No os hagáis tesoros en la tierra, donde la polilla y el orín corrompen, y donde ladrones minan y hurtan; | 19 Ihr sollt euch nicht Schätze sammeln auf Erden, wo sie die Motten und der Rost fressen und wo die Diebe einbrechen und stehlen. |

But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
| 20 sino haceos tesoros en el cielo, donde ni la polilla ni el orín corrompen, y donde ladrones no minan ni hurtan. | 20 Sammelt euch aber Schätze im Himmel, wo sie weder Motten noch Rost fressen und wo die Diebe nicht einbrechen und stehlen. |

For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.

But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!

No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
| 24 Ninguno puede servir a dos señores; porque o aborrecerá al uno y amará al otro, o estimará al uno y menospreciará al otro. No podéis servir a Dios y a las riquezas. | 24 Niemand kann zwei Herren dienen: entweder er wird den einen hassen und den andern lieben, oder er wird an dem einen hängen und den andern verachten. Ihr könnt nicht Gott dienen und dem Mammon. |

Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
| 25 Por tanto os digo: No os afanéis por vuestra vida, qué habéis de comer o qué habéis de beber; ni por vuestro cuerpo, qué habéis de vestir. ¿No es la vida más que el alimento, y el cuerpo más que el vestido? | 25 Darum sage ich euch: Sorgt nicht um euer Leben, was ihr essen und trinken werdet; auch nicht um euren Leib, was ihr anziehen werdet. Ist nicht das Leben mehr als die Nahrung und der Leib mehr als die Kleidung? |

Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
| 26 Mirad las aves del cielo, que no siembran, ni siegan, ni recogen en graneros; y vuestro Padre celestial las alimenta. ¿No valéis vosotros mucho más que ellas? | 26 Seht die Vögel unter dem Himmel an: sie säen nicht, sie ernten nicht, sie sammeln nicht in die Scheunen; und euer himmlischer Vater ernährt sie doch. Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
| 27 ¿Y quién de vosotros podrá, por mucho que se afane, añadir a su estatura un codo? | 27 Wer ist unter euch, der seines Lebens Länge eine Spanne zusetzen könnte, wie sehr er sich auch darum sorgt? |

And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
| 28 Y por el vestido, ¿por qué os afanáis? Considerad los lirios del campo, cómo crecen: no trabajan ni hilan; | 28 Und warum sorgt ihr euch um die Kleidung? Schaut die Lilien auf dem Feld an, wie sie wachsen: sie arbeiten nicht, auch spinnen sie nicht. |

And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
| 30 Y si la hierba del campo que hoy es, y mañana se echa en el horno, Dios la viste así, ¿no hará mucho más a vosotros, hombres de poca fe? | 30 Wenn nun Gott das Gras auf dem Feld so kleidet, das doch heute steht und morgen in den Ofen geworfen wird: sollte er das nicht viel mehr für euch tun, ihr Kleingläubigen? |

Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
| 31 No os afanéis, pues, diciendo: ¿Qué comeremos, o qué beberemos, o qué vestiremos? | 31 Darum sollt ihr nicht sorgen und sagen: Was werden wir essen? Was werden wir trinken? Womit werden wir uns kleiden? |

(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
| 32 Porque los gentiles buscan todas estas cosas; pero vuestro Padre celestial sabe que tenéis necesidad de todas estas cosas. | 32 Nach dem allen trachten die Heiden. Denn euer himmlischer Vater weiß, daß ihr all dessen bedürft. |

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
| 33 Mas buscad primeramente el reino de Dios y su justicia, y todas estas cosas os serán añadidas. | 33 Trachtet zuerst nach dem Reich Gottes und nach seiner Gerechtigkeit, so wird euch das alles zufallen. |

Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. | 34 Así que, no os afanéis por el día de mañana, porque el día de mañana traerá su afán. Basta a cada día su propio mal. | 34 Darum sorgt nicht für morgen, denn der morgige Tag wird für das Seine sorgen. Es ist genug, daß jeder Tag seine eigene Plage hat. |
