Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.
| 1 Entonces el reino de los cielos será semejante a diez vírgenes que tomando sus lámparas, salieron a recibir al esposo. | 1 Dann wird das Himmelreich gleichen zehn Jungfrauen, die ihre Lampen nahmen und gingen hinaus, dem Bräutigam entgegen. |

And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.

They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:

But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.

While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.

And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.

Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.
| 7 Entonces todas aquellas vírgenes se levantaron, y arreglaron sus lámparas. | 7 Da standen diese Jungfrauen alle auf und machten ihre Lampen fertig. |

And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.
| 8 Y las insensatas dijeron a las prudentes: Dadnos de vuestro aceite; porque nuestras lámparas se apagan. | 8 Die törichten aber sprachen zu den klugen: Gebt uns von eurem Öl, denn unsre Lampen verlöschen. |

But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.
| 9 Mas las prudentes respondieron diciendo: Para que no nos falte a nosotras y a vosotras, id más bien a los que venden, y comprad para vosotras mismas. | 9 Da antworteten die klugen und sprachen: Nein, sonst würde es für uns und euch nicht genug sein; geht aber zum Kaufmann und kauft für euch selbst. |

And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.
| 10 Pero mientras ellas iban a comprar, vino el esposo; y las que estaban preparadas entraron con él a las bodas; y se cerró la puerta. | 10 Und als sie hingingen zu kaufen, kam der Bräutigam; und die bereit waren, gingen mit ihm hinein zur Hochzeit, und die Tür wurde verschlossen. |

Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.
| 11 Después vinieron también las otras vírgenes, diciendo: ¡Señor, señor, ábrenos! | 11 Später kamen auch die andern Jungfrauen und sprachen: Herr, Herr, tu uns auf! |

But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.
| 12 Mas él, respondiendo, dijo: De cierto os digo, que no os conozco. | 12 Er antwortete aber und sprach: Wahrlich, ich sage euch: Ich kenne euch nicht. |

Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.
| 13 Velad, pues, porque no sabéis el día ni la hora en que el Hijo del Hombre ha de venir. | 13 Darum wachet! Denn ihr wißt weder Tag noch Stunde. * |

For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.
| 14 Porque el reino de los cielos es como un hombre que yéndose lejos, llamó a sus siervos y les entregó sus bienes. | 14 Denn es ist wie mit einem Menschen, der außer Landes ging: er rief seine Knechte und vertraute ihnen sein Vermögen an; |

And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.
| 15 A uno dio cinco talentos, y a otro dos, y a otro uno, a cada uno conforme a su capacidad; y luego se fue lejos. | 15 dem einen gab er fünf Zentner Silber, dem andern zwei, dem dritten einen, jedem nach seiner Tüchtigkeit, und zog fort. |

Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents.
| 16 Y el que había recibido cinco talentos fue y negoció con ellos, y ganó otros cinco talentos. | 16 Sogleich ging der hin, der fünf Zentner empfangen hatte, und handelte mit ihnen und gewann weitere fünf dazu. |

And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two.

But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord's money.
| 18 Pero el que había recibido uno fue y cavó en la tierra, y escondió el dinero de su señor. | 18 Der aber einen empfangen hatte, ging hin, grub ein Loch in die Erde und verbarg das Geld seines Herrn. |

After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them.
| 19 Después de mucho tiempo vino el señor de aquellos siervos, y arregló cuentas con ellos. | 19 Nach langer Zeit kam der Herr dieser Knechte und forderte Rechenschaft von ihnen. |

And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more.
| 20 Y llegando el que había recibido cinco talentos, trajo otros cinco talentos, diciendo: Señor, cinco talentos me entregaste; aquí tienes, he ganado otros cinco talentos sobre ellos. | 20 Da trat herzu, der fünf Zentner empfangen hatte, und legte weitere fünf Zentner dazu und sprach: Herr, du hast mir fünf Zentner anvertraut; siehe da, ich habe damit weitere fünf Zentner gewonnen. |

His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
| 21 Y su señor le dijo: Bien, buen siervo y fiel; sobre poco has sido fiel, sobre mucho te pondré; entra en el gozo de tu señor. | 21 Da sprach sein Herr zu ihm: Recht so, du tüchtiger und treuer Knecht, du bist über wenigem treu gewesen, ich will dich über viel setzen; geh hinein zu deines Herrn Freude! |

He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them.
| 22 Llegando también el que había recibido dos talentos, dijo: Señor, dos talentos me entregaste; aquí tienes, he ganado otros dos talentos sobre ellos. | 22 Da trat auch herzu, der zwei Zentner empfangen hatte, und sprach: Herr, du hast mir zwei Zentner anvertraut; siehe da, ich habe damit zwei weitere gewonnen. |

Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed:
| 24 Pero llegando también el que había recibido un talento, dijo: Señor, te conocía que eres hombre duro, que siegas donde no sembraste y recoges donde no esparciste; | 24 Da trat auch herzu, der einen Zentner empfangen hatte, und sprach: Herr, ich wußte, daß du ein harter Mann bist: du erntest, wo du nicht gesät hast, und sammelst ein, wo du nicht ausgestreut hast; |

And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine.
| 25 por lo cual tuve miedo, y fui y escondí tu talento en la tierra; aquí tienes lo que es tuyo. | 25 und ich fürchtete mich, ging hin und verbarg deinen Zentner in der Erde. Siehe, da hast du das Deine. |

His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed:
| 26 Respondiendo su señor, le dijo: Siervo malo y negligente, sabías que siego donde no sembré, y que recojo donde no esparcí. | 26 Sein Herr aber antwortete und sprach zu ihm: Du böser und fauler Knecht! Wußtest du, daß ich ernte, wo ich nicht gesät habe, und einsammle, wo ich nicht ausgestreut habe? |

Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury.
| 27 Por tanto, debías haber dado mi dinero a los banqueros, y al venir yo, hubiera recibido lo que es mío con los intereses. | 27 Dann hättest du mein Geld zu den Wechslern bringen sollen, und wenn ich gekommen wäre, hätte ich das Meine wiederbekommen mit Zinsen. |

Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents.
| 28 Quitadle, pues, el talento, y dadlo al que tiene diez talentos. | 28 Darum nehmt ihm den Zentner ab und gebt ihn dem, der zehn Zentner hat. |

For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.
| 29 Porque al que tiene, le será dado, y tendrá más; y al que no tiene, aun lo que tiene le será quitado. | 29 Denn wer da hat, dem wird gegeben werden, und er wird die Fülle haben; wer aber nicht hat, dem wird auch, was er hat, genommen werden. |

And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
| 30 Y al siervo inútil echadle en las tinieblas de afuera; allí será el lloro y el crujir de dientes. | 30 Und den unnützen Knecht werft in die Finsternis hinaus; da wird sein Heulen und Zähneklappern. |

When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:
| 31 Cuando el Hijo del Hombre venga en su gloria, y todos los santos ángeles con él, entonces se sentará en su trono de gloria, | 31 Wenn aber der Menschensohn kommen wird in seiner Herrlichkeit, und alle Engel mit ihm, dann wird er sitzen auf dem Thron seiner Herrlichkeit, |

And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
| 32 y serán reunidas delante de él todas las naciones; y apartará los unos de los otros, como aparta el pastor las ovejas de los cabritos. | 32 und alle Völker werden vor ihm versammelt werden. Und er wird sie voneinander scheiden, wie ein Hirt die Schafe von den Böcken scheidet, |

And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
| 33 Y pondrá las ovejas a su derecha, y los cabritos a su izquierda. | 33 und wird die Schafe zu seiner Rechten stellen und die Böcke zur Linken. |

Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
| 34 Entonces el Rey dirá a los de su derecha: Venid, benditos de mi Padre, heredad el reino preparado para vosotros desde la fundación del mundo. | 34 Da wird dann der König sagen zu denen zu seiner Rechten: Kommt her, ihr Gesegneten meines Vaters, ererbt das Reich, das euch bereitet ist von Anbeginn der Welt! |

For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
| 35 Porque tuve hambre, y me disteis de comer; tuve sed, y me disteis de beber; fui forastero, y me recogisteis; | 35 Denn ich bin hungrig gewesen, und ihr habt mir zu essen gegeben. Ich bin durstig gewesen, und ihr habt mir zu trinken gegeben. Ich bin ein Fremder gewesen, und ihr habt mich aufgenommen. |

Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
| 36 estuve desnudo, y me cubristeis; enfermo, y me visitasteis; en la cárcel, y vinisteis a mí. | 36 Ich bin nackt gewesen, und ihr habt mich gekleidet. Ich bin krank gewesen, und ihr habt mich besucht. Ich bin im Gefängnis gewesen, und ihr seid zu mir gekommen. |

Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
| 37 Entonces los justos le responderán diciendo: Señor, ¿cuándo te vimos hambriento, y te sustentamos, o sediento, y te dimos de beber? | 37 Dann werden ihm die Gerechten antworten und sagen: Herr, wann haben wir dich hungrig gesehen und haben dir zu essen gegeben? oder durstig und haben dir zu trinken gegeben? |

When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?
| 38 ¿Y cuándo te vimos forastero, y te recogimos, o desnudo, y te cubrimos? | 38 Wann haben wir dich als Fremden gesehen und haben dich aufgenommen? oder nackt und haben dich gekleidet? |

Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
| 39 ¿O cuándo te vimos enfermo, o en la cárcel, y vinimos a ti? | 39 Wann haben wir dich krank oder im Gefängnis gesehen und sind zu dir gekommen? |

And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
| 40 Y respondiendo el Rey, les dirá: De cierto os digo que en cuanto lo hicisteis a uno de estos mis hermanos más pequeños, a mí lo hicisteis. | 40 Und der König wird antworten und zu ihnen sagen: Wahrlich, ich sage euch: Was ihr getan habt einem von diesen meinen geringsten Brüdern, das habt ihr mir getan. |

Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
| 41 Entonces dirá también a los de la izquierda: Apartaos de mí, malditos, al fuego eterno preparado para el diablo y sus ángeles. | 41 Dann wird er auch sagen zu denen zur Linken: Geht weg von mir, ihr Verfluchten, in das ewige Feuer, das bereitet ist dem Teufel und seinen Engeln! |

For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:
| 42 Porque tuve hambre, y no me disteis de comer; tuve sed, y no me disteis de beber; | 42 Denn ich bin hungrig gewesen, und ihr habt mir nicht zu essen gegeben. Ich bin durstig gewesen, und ihr habt mir nicht zu trinken gegeben. |

I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.
| 43 fui forastero, y no me recogisteis; estuve desnudo, y no me cubristeis; enfermo, y en la cárcel, y no me visitasteis. | 43 Ich bin ein Fremder gewesen, und ihr habt mich nicht aufgenommen. Ich bin nackt gewesen, und ihr habt mich nicht gekleidet. Ich bin krank und im Gefängnis gewesen, und ihr habt mich nicht besucht. |

Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?
| 44 Entonces también ellos le responderán diciendo: Señor, ¿cuándo te vimos hambriento, sediento, forastero, desnudo, enfermo, o en la cárcel, y no te servimos? | 44 Dann werden sie ihm auch antworten und sagen: Herr, wann haben wir dich hungrig oder durstig gesehen oder als Fremden oder nackt oder krank oder im Gefängnis und haben dir nicht gedient? |

Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.
| 45 Entonces les responderá diciendo: De cierto os digo que en cuanto no lo hicisteis a uno de estos más pequeños, tampoco a mí lo hicisteis. | 45 Dann wird er ihnen antworten und sagen: Wahrlich, ich sage euch: Was ihr nicht getan habt einem von diesen Geringsten, das habt ihr mir auch nicht getan. |

And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal. | 46 E irán éstos al castigo eterno, y los justos a la vida eterna. | 46 Und sie werden hingehen: diese zur ewigen Strafe, aber die Gerechten in das ewige Leben. |
