At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?
| 1 En aquel tiempo los discípulos vinieron a Jesús, diciendo: ¿Quién es el mayor en el reino de los cielos? | 1 Zu derselben Stunde traten die Jünger zu Jesus und fragten: Wer ist doch der Größte im Himmelreich? |

And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them,
| 2 Y llamando Jesús a un niño, lo puso en medio de ellos, | 2 Jesus rief ein Kind zu sich und stellte es mitten unter sie |

And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
| 3 y dijo: De cierto os digo, que si no os volvéis y os hacéis como niños, no entraréis en el reino de los cielos. | 3 und sprach: Wahrlich, ich sage euch: Wenn ihr nicht umkehrt und werdet wie die Kinder, so werdet ihr nicht ins Himmelreich kommen. |

Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
| 4 Así que, cualquiera que se humille como este niño, ése es el mayor en el reino de los cielos. | 4 Wer nun sich selbst erniedrigt und wird wie dies Kind, der ist der Größte im Himmelreich. |

And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me.
| 5 Y cualquiera que reciba en mi nombre a un niño como este, a mí me recibe. | 5 Und wer ein solches Kind aufnimmt in meinem Namen, der nimmt mich auf. |

But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.
| 6 Y cualquiera que haga tropezar a alguno de estos pequeños que creen en mí, mejor le fuera que se le colgase al cuello una piedra de molino de asno, y que se le hundiese en lo profundo del mar. | 6 Wer aber einen dieser Kleinen, die an mich glauben, zum Abfall verführt, für den wäre es besser, daß ein Mühlstein an seinen Hals gehängt und er ersäuft würde im Meer, wo es am tiefsten ist. |

Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh!
| 7 ¡Ay del mundo por los tropiezos! porque es necesario que vengan tropiezos, pero ¡ay de aquel hombre por quien viene el tropiezo! | 7 Weh der Welt der Verführungen wegen! Es müssen ja Verführungen kommen; doch weh dem Menschen, der zum Abfall verführt! |

Wherefore if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them off, and cast them from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire.
| 8 Por tanto, si tu mano o tu pie te es ocasión de caer, córtalo y échalo de ti; mejor te es entrar en la vida cojo o manco, que teniendo dos manos o dos pies ser echado en el fuego eterno. | 8 Wenn aber deine Hand oder dein Fuß dich zum Abfall verführt, so hau sie ab und wirf sie von dir. Es ist besser für dich, daß du lahm oder verkrüppelt zum Leben eingehst, als daß du zwei Hände oder zwei Füße hast und wirst in das ewige Feuer geworfen. |

And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire.
| 9 Y si tu ojo te es ocasión de caer, sácalo y échalo de ti; mejor te es entrar con un solo ojo en la vida, que teniendo dos ojos ser echado en el infierno de fuego. | 9 Und wenn dich dein Auge zum Abfall verführt, reiß es aus und wirf's von dir. Es ist besser für dich, daß du einäugig zum Leben eingehst, als daß du zwei Augen hast und wirst in das höllische Feuer geworfen. |

Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.
| 10 Mirad que no menospreciéis a uno de estos pequeños; porque os digo que sus ángeles en los cielos ven siempre el rostro de mi Padre que está en los cielos. | 10 Seht zu, daß ihr nicht einen von diesen Kleinen verachtet. Denn ich sage euch: Ihre Engel im Himmel sehen allezeit das Angesicht meines Vaters im Himmel.* * Vers 11 findet sich erst in der späteren Überlieferung: "Denn der Menschensohn ist gekommen, selig zu machen, was verloren ist." |

For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost.
| 11 Porque el Hijo del Hombre ha venido para salvar lo que se había perdido. | 11 Was meint ihr? Wenn ein Mensch hundert Schafe hätte und eins unter ihnen sich verirrte: läßt er nicht die neunundneunzig auf den Bergen, geht hin und sucht das verirrte? |

How think ye? if a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, doth he not leave the ninety and nine, and goeth into the mountains, and seeketh that which is gone astray?
| 12 ¿Qué os parece? Si un hombre tiene cien ovejas, y se descarría una de ellas, ¿no deja las noventa y nueve y va por los montes a buscar la que se había descarriado? | 12 Und wenn es geschieht, daß er's findet, wahrlich, ich sage euch: er freut sich darüber mehr als über die neunundneunzig, die sich nicht verirrt haben. |

And if so be that he find it, verily I say unto you, he rejoiceth more of that sheep, than of the ninety and nine which went not astray.
| 13 Y si acontece que la encuentra, de cierto os digo que se regocija más por aquélla, que por las noventa y nueve que no se descarriaron. | 13 So ist's auch nicht der Wille bei eurem Vater im Himmel, daß auch nur eines von diesen Kleinen verloren werde. |

Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish.
| 14 Así, no es la voluntad de vuestro Padre que está en los cielos, que se pierda uno de estos pequeños. | 14 Sündigt aber dein Bruder an dir, so geh hin und weise ihn zurecht zwischen dir und ihm allein. Hört er auf dich, so hast du deinen Bruder gewonnen. |

Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.
| 15 Por tanto, si tu hermano peca contra ti, ve y repréndele estando tú y él solos; si te oyere, has ganado a tu hermano. | 15 Hört er nicht auf dich, so nimm noch einen oder zwei zu dir, damit jede Sache durch den Mund von zwei oder drei Zeugen bestätigt werde. |

But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.
| 16 Mas si no te oyere, toma aún contigo a uno o dos, para que en boca de dos o tres testigos conste toda palabra. | 16 Hört er auf die nicht, so sage es der Gemeinde. Hört er auch auf die Gemeinde nicht, so sei er für dich wie ein Heide und Zöllner. |

And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.
| 17 Si no los oyere a ellos, dilo a la iglesia; y si no oyere a la iglesia, tenle por gentil y publicano. | 17 Wahrlich, ich sage euch: Was ihr auf Erden binden werdet, soll auch im Himmel gebunden sein, und was ihr auf Erden lösen werdet, soll auch im Himmel gelöst sein. |

Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
| 18 De cierto os digo que todo lo que atéis en la tierra, será atado en el cielo; y todo lo que desatéis en la tierra, será desatado en el cielo. | 18 Wahrlich, ich sage euch auch: Wenn zwei unter euch eins werden auf Erden, worum sie bitten wollen, so soll es ihnen widerfahren von meinem Vater im Himmel. |

Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.
| 19 Otra vez os digo, que si dos de vosotros se pusieren de acuerdo en la tierra acerca de cualquiera cosa que pidieren, les será hecho por mi Padre que está en los cielos. | 19 Denn wo zwei oder drei versammelt sind in meinem Namen, da bin ich mitten unter ihnen. |

For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
| 20 Porque donde están dos o tres congregados en mi nombre, allí estoy yo en medio de ellos. | 20 Da trat Petrus zu ihm und fragte: Herr, wie oft muß ich denn meinem Bruder, der an mir sündigt, vergeben? Genügt es siebenmal? |

Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?
| 21 Entonces se le acercó Pedro y le dijo: Señor, ¿cuántas veces perdonaré a mi hermano que peque contra mí? ¿Hasta siete? | 21 Jesus sprach zu ihm: Ich sage dir: nicht siebenmal, sondern siebzigmal siebenmal. |

Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.
| 22 Jesús le dijo: No te digo hasta siete, sino aun hasta setenta veces siete. | 22 Darum gleicht das Himmelreich einem König, der mit seinen Knechten abrechnen wollte. |

Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, which would take account of his servants.
| 23 Por lo cual el reino de los cielos es semejante a un rey que quiso hacer cuentas con sus siervos. | 23 Und als er anfing abzurechnen, wurde einer vor ihn gebracht, der war ihm zehntausend Zentner Silber schuldig. |

And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought unto him, which owed him ten thousand talents.
| 24 Y comenzando a hacer cuentas, le fue presentado uno que le debía diez mil talentos. | 24 Da er's nun nicht bezahlen konnte, befahl der Herr, ihn und seine Frau und seine Kinder und alles, was er hatte, zu verkaufen und damit zu bezahlen. |

But forasmuch as he had not to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made.
| 25 A éste, como no pudo pagar, ordenó su señor venderle, y a su mujer e hijos, y todo lo que tenía, para que se le pagase la deuda. | 25 Da fiel ihm der Knecht zu Füßen und flehte ihn an und sprach: Hab Geduld mit mir; ich will dir's alles bezahlen. |

The servant therefore fell down, and worshipped him, saying, Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay thee all.
| 26 Entonces aquel siervo, postrado, le suplicaba, diciendo: Señor, ten paciencia conmigo, y yo te lo pagaré todo. | 26 Da hatte der Herr Erbarmen mit diesem Knecht und ließ ihn frei, und die Schuld erließ er ihm auch. |

Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and loosed him, and forgave him the debt.
| 27 El señor de aquel siervo, movido a misericordia, le soltó y le perdonó la deuda. | 27 Da ging dieser Knecht hinaus und traf einen seiner Mitknechte, der war ihm hundert Silbergroschen schuldig; und er packte und würgte ihn und sprach: Bezahle, was du mir schuldig bist! |

But the same servant went out, and found one of his fellowservants, which owed him an hundred pence: and he laid hands on him, and took him by the throat, saying, Pay me that thou owest.
| 28 Pero saliendo aquel siervo, halló a uno de sus consiervos, que le debía cien denarios; y asiendo de él, le ahogaba, diciendo: Págame lo que me debes. | 28 Da fiel sein Mitknecht nieder und bat ihn und sprach: Hab Geduld mit mir; ich will dir's bezahlen. |

And his fellowservant fell down at his feet, and besought him, saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay thee all.
| 29 Entonces su consiervo, postrándose a sus pies, le rogaba diciendo: Ten paciencia conmigo, y yo te lo pagaré todo. | 29 Er wollte aber nicht, sondern ging hin und warf ihn ins Gefängnis, bis er bezahlt hätte, was er schuldig war. |

And he would not: but went and cast him into prison, till he should pay the debt.
| 30 Mas él no quiso, sino fue y le echó en la cárcel, hasta que pagase la deuda. | 30 Als aber seine Mitknechte das sahen, wurden sie sehr betrübt und kamen und brachten bei ihrem Herrn alles vor, was sich begeben hatte. |

So when his fellowservants saw what was done, they were very sorry, and came and told unto their lord all that was done.
| 31 Viendo sus consiervos lo que pasaba, se entristecieron mucho, y fueron y refirieron a su señor todo lo que había pasado. | 31 Da forderte ihn sein Herr vor sich und sprach zu ihm: Du böser Knecht! Deine ganze Schuld habe ich dir erlassen, weil du mich gebeten hast; |

Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou desiredst me:
| 32 Entonces, llamándole su señor, le dijo: Siervo malvado, toda aquella deuda te perdoné, porque me rogaste. | 32 hättest du dich da nicht auch erbarmen sollen über deinen Mitknecht, wie ich mich über dich erbarmt habe?a |

Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant, even as I had pity on thee?
| 33 ¿No debías tú también tener misericordia de tu consiervo, como yo tuve misericordia de ti? | 33 Und sein Herr wurde zornig und überantwortete ihn den Peinigern, bis er alles bezahlt hätte, was er ihm schuldig war. |

And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him.
| 34 Entonces su señor, enojado, le entregó a los verdugos, hasta que pagase todo lo que le debía. | 34 So wird auch mein himmlischer Vater an euch tun, wenn ihr einander nicht von Herzen vergebt, ein jeder seinem Bruder. |

So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses. | 35 Así también mi Padre celestial hará con vosotros si no perdonáis de todo corazón cada uno a su hermano sus ofensas. | |
