And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.

And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.
| 8 Sanad enfermos, limpiad leprosos, resucitad muertos, echad fuera demonios; de gracia recibisteis, dad de gracia. | 8 Macht Kranke gesund, weckt Tote auf, macht Aussätzige rein, treibt böse Geister aus. Umsonst habt ihr's empfangen, umsonst gebt es auch. |

Provide neither gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses,
| 9 No os proveáis de oro, ni plata, ni cobre en vuestros cintos; | 9 Ihr sollt weder Gold noch Silber noch Kupfer in euren Gürteln haben, |

Nor scrip for your journey, neither two coats, neither shoes, nor yet staves: for the workman is worthy of his meat.

And into whatsoever city or town ye shall enter, enquire who in it is worthy; and there abide till ye go thence.
| 11 Mas en cualquier ciudad o aldea donde entréis, informaos quién en ella sea digno, y posad allí hasta que salgáis. | 11 Wenn ihr aber in eine Stadt oder ein Dorf geht, da erkundigt euch, ob jemand darin ist, der es wert ist; und bei dem bleibt, bis ihr weiterzieht. |

And when ye come into an house, salute it.
| 12 Y al entrar en la casa, saludadla. | 12 Wenn ihr aber in ein Haus geht, so grüßt es; |

And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you.
| 13 Y si la casa fuere digna, vuestra paz vendrá sobre ella; mas si no fuere digna, vuestra paz se volverá a vosotros. | 13 und wenn es das Haus wert ist, wird euer Friede auf sie kommen. Ist es aber nicht wert, so wird sich euer Friede wieder zu euch wenden. |

And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.
| 14 Y si alguno no os recibiere, ni oyere vuestras palabras, salid de aquella casa o ciudad, y sacudid el polvo de vuestros pies. | 14 Und wenn euch jemand nicht aufnehmen und eure Rede nicht hören wird, so geht heraus aus diesem Hause oder dieser Stadt und schüttelt den Staub von euren Füßen. |

Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.
| 15 De cierto os digo que en el día del juicio, será más tolerable el castigo para la tierra de Sodoma y de Gomorra, que para aquella ciudad. | 15 Wahrlich, ich sage euch: Dem Land der Sodomer und Gomorrer wird es erträglicher ergehen am Tage des Gerichts als dieser Stadt. |

Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.
| 16 He aquí, yo os envío como a ovejas en medio de lobos; sed, pues, prudentes como serpientes, y sencillos como palomas. | 16 Siehe, ich sende euch wie Schafe mitten unter die Wölfe. Darum seid klug wie die Schlangen und ohne Falsch wie die Tauben. |

But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to the councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues;
| 17 Y guardaos de los hombres, porque os entregarán a los concilios, y en sus sinagogas os azotarán; | 17 Hütet euch aber vor den Menschen; denn sie werden euch den Gerichten überantworten und werden euch geißeln in ihren Synagogen. |

And ye shall be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them and the Gentiles.
| 18 y aun ante gobernadores y reyes seréis llevados por causa de mí, para testimonio a ellos y a los gentiles. | 18 Und man wird euch vor Statthalter und Könige führen um meinetwillen, ihnen und den Heiden zum Zeugnis. |

But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak.
| 19 Mas cuando os entreguen, no os preocupéis por cómo o qué hablaréis; porque en aquella hora os será dado lo que habéis de hablar. | 19 Wenn sie euch nun überantworten werden, so sorgt nicht, wie oder was ihr reden sollt; denn es soll euch zu der Stunde gegeben werden, was ihr reden sollt. |

For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.
| 20 Porque no sois vosotros los que habláis, sino el Espíritu de vuestro Padre que habla en vosotros. | 20 Denn nicht ihr seid es, die da reden, sondern eures Vaters Geist ist es, der durch euch redet. |

And the brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the child: and the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death.
| 21 El hermano entregará a la muerte al hermano, y el padre al hijo; y los hijos se levantarán contra los padres, y los harán morir. | 21 Es wird aber ein Bruder den andern dem Tod preisgeben und der Vater den Sohn, und die Kinder werden sich empören gegen ihre Eltern und werden sie töten helfen. |

And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.
| 22 Y seréis aborrecidos de todos por causa de mi nombre; mas el que persevere hasta el fin, éste será salvo. | 22 Und ihr werdet gehaßt werden von jedermann um meines Namens willen. Wer aber bis an das Ende beharrt, der wird selig werden. |

But when they persecute you in this city, flee ye into another: for verily I say unto you, Ye shall not have gone over the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come.
| 23 Cuando os persigan en esta ciudad, huid a la otra; porque de cierto os digo, que no acabaréis de recorrer todas las ciudades de Israel, antes que venga el Hijo de Hombre. | 23 Wenn sie euch aber in einer Stadt verfolgen, so flieht in eine andere. Wahrlich, ich sage euch: Ihr werdet mit den Städten Israels nicht zu Ende kommen, bis der Menschensohn kommt. |

The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord.
| 24 El discípulo no es más que su maestro, ni el siervo más que su señor. | 24 Der Jünger steht nicht über dem Meister und der Knecht nicht über seinem Herrn. |

It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household?
| 25 Bástale al discípulo ser como su maestro, y al siervo como su señor. Si al padre de familia llamaron Beelzebú, ¿cuánto más a los de su casa? | 25 Es ist für den Jünger genug, daß er ist wie sein Meister und der Knecht wie sein Herr. Haben sie den Hausherrn Beelzebul genannt, wieviel mehr werden sie seine Hausgenossen so nennen! |

Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known.
| 26 Así que, no los temáis; porque nada hay encubierto, que no haya de ser manifestado; ni oculto, que no haya de saberse. | 26 Darum fürchtet euch nicht vor ihnen. |

What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops.
| 27 Lo que os digo en tinieblas, decidlo en la luz; y lo que oís al oído, proclamadlo desde las azoteas. | 27 Was ich euch sage in der Finsternis, das redet im Licht; und was euch gesagt wird in das Ohr, das predigt auf den Dächern. |

And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
| 28 Y no temáis a los que matan el cuerpo, mas el alma no pueden matar; temed más bien a aquel que puede destruir el alma y el cuerpo en el infierno. | 28 Und fürchtet euch nicht vor denen, die den Leib töten, doch die Seele nicht töten können; fürchtet euch aber viel mehr vor dem, der Leib und Seele verderben kann in der Hölle. |

Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father.
| 29 ¿No se venden dos pajarillos por un cuarto? Con todo, ni uno de ellos cae a tierra sin vuestro Padre. | 29 Kauft man nicht zwei Sperlinge für einen Groschen? Dennoch fällt keiner von ihnen auf die Erde ohne euren Vater. |

But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
| 30 Pues aun vuestros cabellos están todos contados. | 30 Nun aber sind auch eure Haare auf dem Haupt alle gezählt. |

Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.
| 31 Así que, no temáis; más valéis vosotros que muchos pajarillos. | 31 Darum fürchtet euch nicht; ihr seid besser als viele Sperlinge. |

Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.
| 32 A cualquiera, pues, que me confiese delante de los hombres, yo también le confesaré delante de mi Padre que está en los cielos. | 32 Wer nun mich bekennt vor den Menschen, den will ich auch bekennen vor meinem himmlischen Vater. |

But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.
| 33 Y a cualquiera que me niegue delante de los hombres, yo también le negaré delante de mi Padre que está en los cielos.
Jesús, | 33 Wer mich aber verleugnet vor den Menschen, den will ich auch verleugnen vor meinem himmlischen Vater. |

Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
| 34 No penséis que he venido para traer paz a la tierra; no he venido para traer paz, sino espada. | 34 Ihr sollt nicht meinen, daß ich gekommen bin, Frieden zu bringen auf die Erde. Ich bin nicht gekommen, Frieden zu bringen, sondern das Schwert. |

For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
| 35 Porque he venido para poner en disensión al hombre contra su padre, a la hija contra su madre, y a la nuera contra su suegra; | 35 Denn ich bin gekommen, den Menschen zu entzweien mit seinem Vater und die Tochter mit ihrer Mutter und die Schwiegertochter mit ihrer Schwiegermutter. |

And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.
| 36 y los enemigos del hombre serán los de su casa. | 36 Und des Menschen Feinde werden seine eigenen Hausgenossen sein. |

He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
| 37 El que ama a padre o madre más que a mí, no es digno de mí; el que ama a hijo o hija más que a mí, no es digno de mí; | 37 Wer Vater oder Mutter mehr liebt als mich, der ist meiner nicht wert; und wer Sohn oder Tochter mehr liebt als mich, der ist meiner nicht wert. |

And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.

He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.

He that receiveth you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me.

He that receiveth a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet's reward; and he that receiveth a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man's reward.
| 41 El que recibe a un profeta por cuanto es profeta, recompensa de profeta recibirá; y el que recibe a un justo por cuanto es justo, recompensa de justo recibirá. | 41 Wer einen Propheten aufnimmt, weil es ein Prophet ist, der wird den Lohn eines Propheten empfangen. Wer einen Gerechten aufnimmt, weil es ein Gerechter ist, der wird den Lohn eines Gerechten empfangen. |

And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward. | 42 Y cualquiera que dé a uno de estos pequeñitos un vaso de agua fría solamente, por cuanto es discípulo, de cierto os digo que no perderá su recompensa. | 42 Und wer einem dieser Geringen auch nur einen Becher kalten Wassers zu trinken gibt, weil es ein Jünger ist, wahrlich ich sage euch: es wird ihm nicht unbelohnt bleiben. |
