And he went out from thence, and came into his own country; and his disciples follow him.

And when the sabbath day was come, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many hearing him were astonished, saying, From whence hath this man these things? and what wisdom is this which is given unto him, that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands?
| 2 Y llegado el día de reposo, comenzó a enseñar en la sinagoga; y muchos, oyéndole, se admiraban, y decían: ¿De dónde tiene éste estas cosas? ¿Y qué sabiduría es esta que le es dada, y estos milagros que por sus manos son hechos? | 2 Und als der Sabbat kam, fing er an, zu lehren in der Synagoge. Und viele, die zuhörten, verwunderten sich und sprachen: Woher hat er das? Und was ist das für eine Weisheit, die ihm gegeben ist? Und solche mächtigen Taten, die durch seine Hände geschehen? |

Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him.
| 3 ¿No es éste el carpintero, hijo de María, hermano de Jacobo, de José, de Judas y de Simón? ¿No están también aquí con nosotros sus hermanas? But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house.

And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them.

And he marvelled because of their unbelief. And he went round about the villages, teaching.

And he called unto him the twelve, and began to send them forth by two and two; and gave them power over unclean spirits;

And commanded them that they should take nothing for their journey, save a staff only; no scrip, no bread, no money in their purse:
| 8 Y les mandó que no llevasen nada para el camino, sino solamente bordón; ni alforja, ni pan, ni dinero en el cinto, | 8 und gebot ihnen, nichts mitzunehmen auf den Weg als allein einen Stab, kein Brot, keine Tasche, kein Geld im Gürtel, |

But be shod with sandals; and not put on two coats.

And he said unto them, In what place soever ye enter into an house, there abide till ye depart from that place.
| 10 Y les dijo: Dondequiera que entréis en una casa, posad en ella hasta que salgáis de aquel lugar. | 10 Und er sprach zu ihnen: Wo ihr in ein Haus gehen werdet, da bleibt, bis ihr von dort weiterzieht. |

And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you, when ye depart thence, shake off the dust under your feet for a testimony against them. Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.
| 11 Y si en algún lugar no os recibieren ni os oyeren, salid de allí, y sacudid el polvo que está debajo de vuestros pies, para testimonio a ellos. De cierto os digo que en el día del juicio, será más tolerable el castigo para los de Sodoma y Gomorra, que para aquella ciudad. | 11 Und wo man euch nicht aufnimmt und nicht hört, da geht hinaus und schüttelt den Staub von euren Füßen zum Zeugnis gegen sie. |

And they went out, and preached that men should repent.

And they cast out many devils, and anointed with oil many that were sick, and healed them.
| 13 Y echaban fuera muchos demonios, y ungían con aceite a muchos enfermos, y los sanaban. | 13 und trieben viele böse Geister aus und salbten viele Kranke mit Öl und machten sie gesund. |

And king Herod heard of him; (for his name was spread abroad:) and he said, That John the Baptist was risen from the dead, and therefore mighty works do shew forth themselves in him.
| 14 Oyó el rey Herodes la fama de Jesús, porque su nombre se había hecho notorio; y dijo: Juan el Bautista ha resucitado de los muertos, y por eso actúan en él estos poderes. | 14 Und es kam dem König Herodes zu Ohren; denn der Name Jesu war nun bekannt. Und die Leute sprachen: Johannes der Täufer ist von den Toten auferstanden; darum tut er solche Taten. |

Others said, That it is Elias. And others said, That it is a prophet, or as one of the prophets.

But when Herod heard thereof, he said, It is John, whom I beheaded: he is risen from the dead.
| 16 Al oír esto Herodes, dijo: Este es Juan, el que yo decapité, que ha resucitado de los muertos. | 16 Als es aber Herodes hörte, sprach er: Es ist Johannes, den ich enthauptet habe, der ist auferstanden. |

For Herod himself had sent forth and laid hold upon John, and bound him in prison for Herodias' sake, his brother Philip's wife: for he had married her.
| 17 Porque el mismo Herodes había enviado y prendido a Juan, y le había encadenado en la cárcel por causa de Herodías, mujer de Felipe su hermano; pues la había tomado por mujer. | 17 Denn er, Herodes, hatte ausgesandt und Johannes ergriffen und ins Gefängnis geworfen um der Herodias willen, der Frau seines Bruders Philippus; denn er hatte sie geheiratet. |

For John had said unto Herod, It is not lawful for thee to have thy brother's wife.
| 18 Porque Juan decía a Herodes: No te es lícito tener la mujer de tu hermano. | 18 Johannes hatte nämlich zu Herodes gesagt: Es ist nicht recht, daß du die Frau deines Bruders hast. |

Therefore Herodias had a quarrel against him, and would have killed him; but she could not:

For Herod feared John, knowing that he was a just man and an holy, and observed him; and when he heard him, he did many things, and heard him gladly.
| 20 porque Herodes temía a Juan, sabiendo que era varón justo y santo, y le guardaba a salvo; y oyéndole, se quedaba muy perplejo, pero le escuchaba de buena gana. | 20 Denn Herodes fürchtete Johannes, weil er wußte, daß er ein frommer und heiliger Mann war, und hielt ihn in Gewahrsam; und wenn er ihn hörte, wurde er sehr unruhig; doch hörte er ihn gern. |

And when a convenient day was come, that Herod on his birthday made a supper to his lords, high captains, and chief estates of Galilee;
| 21 Pero venido un día oportuno, en que Herodes, en la fiesta de su cumpleaños, daba una cena a sus príncipes y tribunos y a los principales de Galilea, | 21 Und es kam ein gelegener Tag, als Herodes an seinem Geburtstag ein Festmahl gab für seine Großen und die Obersten und die Vornehmsten von Galiläa. |

And when the daughter of the said Herodias came in, and danced, and pleased Herod and them that sat with him, the king said unto the damsel, Ask of me whatsoever thou wilt, and I will give it thee.
| 22 entrando la hija de Herodías, danzó, y agradó a Herodes y a los que estaban con él a la mesa; y el rey dijo a la muchacha: Pídeme lo que quieras, y yo te lo daré. | 22 Da trat herein die Tochter der Herodias und tanzte und gefiel Herodes und denen, die mit am Tisch saßen. And he sware unto her, Whatsoever thou shalt ask of me, I will give it thee, unto the half of my kingdom.
| 23 Y le juró: Todo lo que me pidas te daré, hasta la mitad de mi reino. | 23 Und er schwor ihr einen Eid: Was du von mir bittest, will ich dir geben, bis zur Hälfte meines Königreichs. |

And she went forth, and said unto her mother, What shall I ask? And she said, The head of John the Baptist.

And she came in straightway with haste unto the king, and asked, saying, I will that thou give me by and by in a charger the head of John the Baptist.
| 25 Entonces ella entró prontamente al rey, y pidió diciendo: Quiero que ahora mismo me des en un plato la cabeza de Juan el Bautista. | 25 Da ging sie sogleich eilig hinein zum König, bat ihn und sprach: Ich will, daß du mir gibst, jetzt gleich auf einer Schale, das Haupt Johannes des Täufers. |

And the king was exceeding sorry; yet for his oath's sake, and for their sakes which sat with him, he would not reject her.
| 26 Y el rey se entristeció mucho; pero a causa del juramento, y de los que estaban con él a la mesa, no quiso desecharla. | 26 Und der König wurde sehr betrübt. Doch wegen des Eides und derer, die mit am Tisch saßen, wollte er sie keine Fehlbitte tun lassen. |

And immediately the king sent an executioner, and commanded his head to be brought: and he went and beheaded him in the prison,

And brought his head in a charger, and gave it to the damsel: and the damsel gave it to her mother.

And when his disciples heard of it, they came and took up his corpse, and laid it in a tomb.

And the apostles gathered themselves together unto Jesus, and told him all things, both what they had done, and what they had taught.
| 30 Entonces los apóstoles se juntaron con Jesús, y le contaron todo lo que habían hecho, y lo que habían enseñado. | 30 Und die Apostel kamen bei Jesus zusammen und verkündeten ihm alles, was sie getan und gelehrt hatten. |

And he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while: for there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat.
| 31 El les dijo: Venid vosotros aparte a un lugar desierto, y descansad un poco. Porque eran muchos los que iban y venían, de manera que ni aun tenían tiempo para comer. | 31 Und er sprach zu ihnen: Geht ihr allein an eine einsame Stätte und ruht ein wenig. Denn es waren viele, die kamen und gingen, und sie hatten nicht Zeit genug zum Essen. |

And they departed into a desert place by ship privately.
| 32 Y se fueron solos en una barca a un lugar desierto. | 32 Und sie fuhren in einem Boot an eine einsame Stätte für sich allein. |

And the people saw them departing, and many knew him, and ran afoot thither out of all cities, and outwent them, and came together unto him.
| 33 Pero muchos los vieron ir, y le reconocieron; y muchos fueron allá a pie desde las ciudades, y llegaron antes que ellos, y se juntaron a él. | 33 Und man sah sie wegfahren, und viele merkten es und liefen aus allen Städten zu Fuß dorthin zusammen und kamen ihnen zuvor. |

And Jesus, when he came out, saw much people, and was moved with compassion toward them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things.
| 34 Y salió Jesús y vio una gran multitud, y tuvo compasión de ellos, porque eran como ovejas que no tenían pastor; y comenzó a enseñarles muchas cosas. | 34 Und Jesus stieg aus und sah die große Menge; und sie jammerten ihn, denn sie waren wie Schafe, die keinen Hirten haben. Und er fing eine lange Predigt an. |

And when the day was now far spent, his disciples came unto him, and said, This is a desert place, and now the time is far passed:
| 35 Cuando ya era muy avanzada la hora, sus discípulos se acercaron a él, diciendo: El lugar es desierto, y la hora ya muy avanzada. | 35 Als nun der Tag fast vorüber war, traten seine Jünger zu ihm und sprachen: Es ist öde hier, und der Tag ist fast vorüber; |

Send them away, that they may go into the country round about, and into the villages, and buy themselves bread: for they have nothing to eat.
| 36 Despídelos para que vayan a los campos y aldeas de alrededor, y compren pan, pues no tienen qué comer. | 36 laß sie gehen, damit sie in die Höfe und Dörfer ringsum gehen und sich Brot kaufen. |

He answered and said unto them, Give ye them to eat. And they say unto him, Shall we go and buy two hundred pennyworth of bread, and give them to eat?
| 37 Respondiendo él, les dijo: Dadles vosotros de comer. Ellos le dijeron: ¿Que vayamos y compremos pan por doscientos denarios, y les demos de comer? | 37 Er aber antwortete und sprach zu ihnen: Gebt ihr ihnen zu essen! Und sie sprachen zu ihm: Sollen wir denn hingehen und für zweihundert Silbergroschen Brot kaufen und ihnen zu essen geben? |

He saith unto them, How many loaves have ye? go and see. And when they knew, they say, Five, and two fishes.
| 38 El les dijo: ¿Cuántos panes tenéis? Id y vedlo. Y al saberlo, dijeron: Cinco, y dos peces. | 38 Er aber sprach zu ihnen: Wieviel Brote habt ihr? Geht hin und seht! Und als sie es erkundet hatten, sprachen sie: Fünf und zwei Fische. |

And he commanded them to make all sit down by companies upon the green grass.
| 39 Y les mandó que hiciesen recostar a todos por grupos sobre la hierba verde. | 39 Und er gebot ihnen, daß sie sich alle lagerten, tischweise, auf das grüne Gras. |

And they sat down in ranks, by hundreds, and by fifties.
| 40 Y se recostaron por grupos, de ciento en ciento, y de cincuenta en cincuenta. | 40 Und sie setzten sich, in Gruppen zu hundert und zu fünfzig. |

And when he had taken the five loaves and the two fishes, he looked up to heaven, and blessed, and brake the loaves, and gave them to his disciples to set before them; and the two fishes divided he among them all.
| 41 Entonces tomó los cinco panes y los dos peces, y levantando los ojos al cielo, bendijo, y partió los panes, y dio a sus discípulos para que los pusiesen delante; y repartió los dos peces entre todos. | 41 Und er nahm die fünf Brote und zwei Fische und sah auf zum Himmel, dankte und brach die Brote und gab sie den Jüngern, damit sie unter ihnen austeilten, und die zwei Fische teilte er unter sie alle. |

And they did all eat, and were filled.

And they took up twelve baskets full of the fragments, and of the fishes.
| 43 Y recogieron de los pedazos doce cestas llenas, y de lo que sobró de los peces. | 43 Und sie sammelten die Brocken auf, zwölf Körbe voll, und von den Fischen. |

And they that did eat of the loaves were about five thousand men.
| 44 Y los que comieron eran cinco mil hombres. | 44 Und die die Brote gegessen hatten, waren fünftausend Mann. |

And straightway he constrained his disciples to get into the ship, and to go to the other side before unto Bethsaida, while he sent away the people.
| 45 En seguida hizo a sus discípulos entrar en la barca e ir delante de él a Betsaida, en la otra ribera, entre tanto que él despedía a la multitud. | 45 Und alsbald trieb er seine Jünger, in das Boot zu steigen und vor ihm hinüberzufahren nach Betsaida, bis er das Volk gehen ließe. |

And when he had sent them away, he departed into a mountain to pray.
| 46 Y después que los hubo despedido, se fue al monte a orar; | 46 Und als er sie fortgeschickt hatte, ging er hin auf einen Berg, um zu beten. |

And when even was come, the ship was in the midst of the sea, and he alone on the land.
| 47 y al venir la noche, la barca estaba en medio del mar, y él solo en tierra. | 47 Und am Abend war das Boot mitten auf dem See und er auf dem Land allein. |

And he saw them toiling in rowing; for the wind was contrary unto them: and about the fourth watch of the night he cometh unto them, walking upon the sea, and would have passed by them.
| 48 Y viéndoles remar con gran fatiga, porque el viento les era contrario, cerca de la cuarta vigilia de la noche vino a ellos andando sobre el mar, y quería adelantárseles. | 48 Und er sah, daß sie sich abplagten beim Rudern, denn der Wind stand ihnen entgegen. Um die vierte Nachtwache kam er zu ihnen und ging auf dem See und wollte an ihnen vorübergehen. |

But when they saw him walking upon the sea, they supposed it had been a spirit, and cried out:
| 49 Viéndole ellos andar sobre el mar, pensaron que era un fantasma, y gritaron; | 49 Und als sie ihn sahen auf dem See gehen, meinten sie, es wäre ein Gespenst, und schrien; |

For they all saw him, and were troubled. And immediately he talked with them, and saith unto them, Be of good cheer: it is I; be not afraid.
| 50 porque todos le veían, y se turbaron. Pero en seguida habló con ellos, y les dijo: ¡Tened ánimo; yo soy, no temáis! | 50 denn sie sahen ihn alle und erschraken. Aber sogleich redete er mit ihnen und sprach zu ihnen: Seid getrost, ich bin's; fürchtet euch nicht! |

And he went up unto them into the ship; and the wind ceased: and they were sore amazed in themselves beyond measure, and wondered.
| 51 Y subió a ellos en la barca, y se calmó el viento; y ellos se asombraron en gran manera, y se maravillaban. | 51 und trat zu ihnen ins Boot, und der Wind legte sich. Und sie entsetzten sich über die Maßen; |

For they considered not the miracle of the loaves: for their heart was hardened.
| 52 Porque aún no habían entendido lo de los panes, por cuanto estaban endurecidos sus corazones. | 52 denn sie waren um nichts verständiger geworden angesichts der Brote, sondern ihr Herz war verhärtet. |

And when they had passed over, they came into the land of Gennesaret, and drew to the shore.
| 53 Terminada la travesía, vinieron a tierra de Genesaret, y arribaron a la orilla. | 53 Und als sie hinübergefahren waren ans Land, kamen sie nach Genezareth und legten an. |

And when they were come out of the ship, straightway they knew him,

And ran through that whole region round about, and began to carry about in beds those that were sick, where they heard he was.
| 55 Y recorriendo toda la tierra de alrededor, comenzaron a traer de todas partes enfermos en lechos, a donde oían que estaba. | 55 und liefen im ganzen Land umher und fingen an, die Kranken auf Bahren überall dorthin zu tragen, wo sie hörten, daß er war. |

And whithersoever he entered, into villages, or cities, or country, they laid the sick in the streets, and besought him that they might touch if it were but the border of his garment: and as many as touched him were made whole. | 56 Y dondequiera que entraba, en aldeas, ciudades o campos, ponían en las calles a los que estaban enfermos, y le rogaban que les dejase tocar siquiera el borde de su manto; y todos los que le tocaban quedaban sanos. | 56 Und wo er in Dörfer, Städte und Höfe hineinging, da legten sie die Kranken auf den Markt und baten ihn, daß diese auch nur den Saum seines Gewandes berühren dürften; und alle, die ihn berührten, wurden gesund. |
