Now these are the nations which the LORD left, to prove Israel by them, even as many of Israel as had not known all the wars of Canaan;
| 1 Estas, pues, son las naciones que dejó Jehová para probar con ellas a Israel, a todos aquellos que no habían conocido todas la guerras de Canaán; | 1 Dies sind die Völker, die der HERR übrig ließ - damit er durch sie Israel prüfte, alle, die nichts wußten von den Kriegen um Kanaan, |

Only that the generations of the children of Israel might know, to teach them war, at the least such as before knew nothing thereof;
| 2 solamente para que el linaje de los hijos de Israel conociese la guerra, | 2 und die Geschlechter Israels Krieg führen lehrte, die früher nichts davon wußten-, |

Namely, five lords of the Philistines, and all the Canaanites, and the Sidonians, and the Hivites that dwelt in mount Lebanon, from mount Baal-hermon unto the entering in of Hamath.
| 3 los cinco príncipes de los filisteos, todos los cananeos, los sidonios, y los heveos que habitaban en el monte Líbano, desde el monte de Baal-hermón hasta llegar a Hamat. | 3 nämlich die fünf Fürsten der Philister und alle Kanaaniter und Sidonier und Hiwiter, die am Gebirge Libanon wohnten, vom Berg Baal-Hermon an bis dorthin, wo man nach Hamat kommt. |

And they were to prove Israel by them, to know whether they would hearken unto the commandments of the LORD, which he commanded their fathers by the hand of Moses.
| 4 Y fueron para probar con ellos a Israel, para saber si obedecerían a los mandamientos de Jehová, que él había dado a sus padres por mano de Moisés. | 4 Diese blieben, um Israel durch sie zu prüfen, damit es kund würde, ob sie den Geboten des HERRN gehorchten, die er ihren Vätern durch Mose geboten hatte. |

And the children of Israel dwelt among the Canaanites, Hittites, and Amorites, and Perizzites, and Hivites, and Jebusites:
| 5 Así los hijos de Israel habitaban entre los cananeos, heteos, amorreos, ferezeos, heveos y jebuseos. | 5 Als nun die Israeliten wohnten unter den Kanaanitern, Hetitern, Amoritern, Perisitern, Hiwitern und Jebusitern, |

And they took their daughters to be their wives, and gave their daughters to their sons, and served their gods.
| 6 Y tomaron de sus hijas por mujeres, y dieron sus hijas a los hijos de ellos, y sirvieron a sus dioses. | 6 nahmen sie deren Töchter zu Frauen und gaben ihre Töchter deren Söhnen und dienten deren Göttern. |

And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the LORD, and forgat the LORD their God, and served Baalim and the groves.
| 7 Hicieron, pues, los hijos de Israel lo malo ante los ojos de Jehová, y olvidaron a Jehová su Dios, y sirvieron a los baales y a las imágenes de Asera. | 7 Und die Israeliten taten, was dem HERRN mißfiel, und vergaßen den HERRN, ihren Gott, und dienten den Baalen und den Ascheren. |

Therefore the anger of the LORD was hot against Israel, and he sold them into the hand of Chushan-rishathaim king of Mesopotamia: and the children of Israel served Chushan-rishathaim eight years.
| 8 Y la ira de Jehová se encendió contra Israel, y los vendió en manos de Cusan-risataim rey de Mesopotamia; y sirvieron los hijos de Israel a Cusan-risataim ocho años. | 8 Da entbrannte der Zorn des HERRN über Israel, und er verkaufte sie in die Hand Kuschan-Rischatajims, des Königs von Mesopotamien; und so diente Israel dem Kuschan-Rischatajim acht Jahre. |

And when the children of Israel cried unto the LORD, the LORD raised up a deliverer to the children of Israel, who delivered them, even Othniel the son of Kenaz, Caleb's younger brother.
| 9 Entonces clamaron los hijos de Israel a Jehová; y Jehová levantó un libertador a los hijos de Israel y los libró; esto es, a Otoniel hijo de Cenaz, hermano menor de Caleb. | 9 Da schrien die Israeliten zu dem HERRN, und der HERR erweckte ihnen einen Retter, der sie errettete, Otnïl, den Sohn des Kenas, des jüngsten Bruders von Kaleb. |

And the Spirit of the LORD came upon him, and he judged Israel, and went out to war: and the LORD delivered Chushan-rishathaim king of Mesopotamia into his hand; and his hand prevailed against Chushan-rishathaim.
| 10 Y el Espíritu de Jehová vino sobre él, y juzgó a Israel, y salió a batalla, y Jehová entregó en su mano a Cusan-risataim rey de Siria, y prevaleció su mano contra Cusan-risataim. | 10 Und der Geist des HERRN kam auf ihn, und er wurde Richter in Israel und zog aus zum Kampf. Und der HERR gab den König von Mesopotamien Kuschan-Rischatajim in seine Hand, so daß seine Hand über ihn stark wurde. |

And the land had rest forty years. And Othniel the son of Kenaz died.
| 11 Y reposó la tierra cuarenta años; y murió Otoniel hijo de Cenaz. | 11 Da hatte das Land Ruhe vierzig Jahre. Und Otnïl, der Sohn des Kenas, starb. |

And the children of Israel did evil again in the sight of the LORD: and the LORD strengthened Eglon the king of Moab against Israel, because they had done evil in the sight of the LORD.
| 12 Volvieron los hijos de Israel a hacer lo malo ante los ojos de Jehová; y Jehová fortaleció a Eglón rey de Moab contra Israel, por cuanto habían hecho lo malo ante los ojos de Jehová. | 12 Aber die Israeliten taten wiederum, was dem HERRN mißfiel. Da machte der HERR den Eglon, den König der Moabiter, stark gegen Israel, weil sie taten, was dem HERRN mißfiel. |

And he gathered unto him the children of Ammon and Amalek, and went and smote Israel, and possessed the city of palm trees.
| 13 Este juntó consigo a los hijos de Amón y de Amalec, y vino e hirió a Israel, y tomó la ciudad de las palmeras. | 13 Und er sammelte zu sich die Ammoniter und die Amalekiter und zog hin und schlug Israel und nahm die Palmenstadt ein. |

So the children of Israel served Eglon the king of Moab eighteen years.
| 14 Y sirvieron los hijos de Israel a Eglón rey de los moabitas dieciocho años. | 14 Und die Israeliten dienten Eglon, dem König der Moabiter, achtzehn Jahre. |

But when the children of Israel cried unto the LORD, the LORD raised them up a deliverer, Ehud the son of Gera, a Benjamite, a man lefthanded: and by him the children of Israel sent a present unto Eglon the king of Moab.
| 15 Y clamaron los hijos de Israel a Jehová; y Jehová les levantó un libertador, a Aod hijo de Gera, benjamita, el cual era zurdo. Y los hijos de Israel enviaron con él un presente a Eglón rey de Moab. | 15 Da schrien sie zu dem HERRN, und der HERR erweckte ihnen einen Retter, Ehud, den Sohn Geras, den Benjaminiter; der war linkshändig. Und als die Israeliten durch ihn Tribut sandten an Eglon, den König der Moabiter, |

But Ehud made him a dagger which had two edges, of a cubit length; and he did gird it under his raiment upon his right thigh.
| 16 Y Aod se había hecho un puñal de dos filos, de un codo de largo; y se lo ciñó debajo de sus vestidos a su lado derecho. | 16 machte sich Ehud einen zweischneidigen Dolch, eine Hand lang, und gürtete ihn unter sein Kleid auf seine rechte Hüfte |

And he brought the present unto Eglon king of Moab: and Eglon was a very fat man.
| 17 Y entregó el presente a Eglón rey de Moab; y era Eglón hombre muy grueso. | 17 und brachte Eglon, dem König der Moabiter, den Tribut. Eglon aber war ein sehr fetter Mann. |

And when he had made an end to offer the present, he sent away the people that bare the present.
| 18 Y luego que hubo entregado el presente, despidió a la gente que lo había traído. | 18 Und als er den Tribut übergeben hatte, entließ er die Leute, die den Tribut getragen hatten. |

But he himself turned again from the quarries that were by Gilgal, and said, I have a secret errand unto thee, O king: who said, Keep silence. And all that stood by him went out from him.
| 19 Mas él se volvió desde los ídolos que están en Gilgal, y dijo: Rey, una palabra secreta tengo que decirte. El entonces dijo: Calla. Y salieron de delante de él todos los que con él estaban. | 19 Er selbst aber kehrte um bei den Steinbildern zu Gilgal und ließ sagen: Ich habe, oh König, dir heimlich etwas zu sagen. Der aber gebot: Hinaus! Da gingen hinaus von ihm alle, die um ihn standen. |

And Ehud came unto him; and he was sitting in a summer parlour, which he had for himself alone. And Ehud said, I have a message from God unto thee. And he arose out of his seat.
| 20 Y se le acercó Aod, estando él sentado solo en su sala de verano. Y Aod dijo: Tengo palabra de Dios para ti. El entonces se levantó de la silla. | 20 Und Ehud kam zu ihm hinein. Er aber saß in dem kühlen Obergemach, das für ihn allein bestimmt war. Und Ehud sprach: Ich habe ein Wort von Gott an dich. Da stand er auf von seinem Thron. |

And Ehud put forth his left hand, and took the dagger from his right thigh, and thrust it into his belly:
| 21 Entonces alargó Aod su mano izquierda, y tomó el puñal de su lado derecho, y se lo metió por el vientre, | 21 Ehud aber streckte seine linke Hand aus und nahm den Dolch von seiner rechten Hüfte und stieß ihm den in den Bauch, |

And the haft also went in after the blade; and the fat closed upon the blade, so that he could not draw the dagger out of his belly; and the dirt came out.
| 22 de tal manera que la empuñadura entró también tras la hoja, y la gordura cubrió la hoja, porque no sacó el puñal de su vientre; y salió el estiércol. | 22 daß nach der Schneide noch der Griff hineinfuhr und das Fett die Schneide umschloß; denn er zog den Dolch nicht aus seinem Bauch. |

Then Ehud went forth through the porch, and shut the doors of the parlour upon him, and locked them.
| 23 Y salió Aod al corredor, y cerró tras sí las puertas de la sala y las aseguró con el cerrojo. | 23 Aber Ehud ging zum Nebenraum hinaus, machte die Tür des Obergemachs hinter sich zu und verschloß sie. |

When he was gone out, his servants came; and when they saw that, behold, the doors of the parlour were locked, they said, Surely he covereth his feet in his summer chamber.
| 24 Cuando él hubo salido, vinieron los siervos del rey, los cuales viendo las puertas de la sala cerradas, dijeron: Sin duda él cubre sus pies en la sala de verano. | 24 Als er nun hinausgegangen war, kamen die Leute des Königs und sahen, daß die Tür verschlossen war, und sprachen: Er ist vielleicht austreten gegangen in die Kammer am Obergemach. |

And they tarried till they were ashamed: and, behold, he opened not the doors of the parlour; therefore they took a key, and opened them: and, behold, their lord was fallen down dead on the earth.
| 25 Y habiendo esperado hasta estar confusos, porque él no abría las puertas de la sala, tomaron la llave y abrieron; y he aquí su señor caído en tierra, muerto. | 25 Als sie aber allzu lange gewartet hatten und niemand die Tür des Gemachs auftat, nahmen sie den Schlüssel und schlossen auf. Siehe, da lag ihr Herr auf der Erde tot. |

And Ehud escaped while they tarried, and passed beyond the quarries, and escaped unto Seirath.
| 26 Mas entre tanto que ellos se detuvieron, Aod escapó, y pasando los ídolos, se puso a salvo en Seirat. | 26 Ehud aber war entronnen, während sie gewartet hatten, und ging an den Steinbildern vorüber und entkam bis nach Seïra. |

And it came to pass, when he was come, that he blew a trumpet in the mountain of Ephraim, and the children of Israel went down with him from the mount, and he before them.
| 27 Y cuando había entrado, tocó el cuerno en el monte de Efraín, y los hijos de Israel descendieron con él del monte, y él iba delante de ellos. | 27 Und als er hineinkam, blies er die Posaune auf dem Gebirge Ephraim. Und die Israeliten zogen mit ihm vom Gebirge und er vor ihnen her, |

And he said unto them, Follow after me: for the LORD hath delivered your enemies the Moabites into your hand. And they went down after him, and took the fords of Jordan toward Moab, and suffered not a man to pass over.
| 28 Entonces él les dijo: Seguidme, porque Jehová ha entregado a vuestros enemigos los moabitas en vuestras manos. Y descendieron en pos de él, y tomaron los vados del Jordán a Moab, y no dejaron pasar a ninguno. | 28 und er sprach zu ihnen: Schnell mir nach! Denn der HERR hat die Moabiter, eure Feinde, in eure Hände gegeben! Und sie jagten ihm nach und besetzten die Furten am Jordan, die nach Moab gehen, und ließen niemand hinüber |

And they slew of Moab at that time about ten thousand men, all lusty, and all men of valour; and there escaped not a man.
| 29 Y en aquel tiempo mataron de los moabitas como diez mil hombres, todos valientes y todos hombres de guerra; no escapó ninguno. | 29 und erschlugen zu jener Zeit die Moabiter, etwa zehntausend Mann, alles starke und streitbare Männer, so daß auch nicht einer entrann. |

So Moab was subdued that day under the hand of Israel. And the land had rest fourscore years.
| 30 Así fue subyugado Moab aquel día bajo la mano de Israel; y reposó la tierra ochenta años. | 30 So wurden die Moabiter zu jener Zeit unter die Hand Israels gedemütigt. Und das Land hatte Ruhe achtzig Jahre. |

And after him was Shamgar the son of Anath, which slew of the Philistines six hundred men with an ox goad: and he also delivered Israel. | 31 Después de él fue Samgar hijo de Anat, el cual mató a seiscientos hombres de los filisteos con una aguijada de bueyes; y él también salvó a Israel. | 31 Nach ihm kam Schamgar, der Sohn Anats. Der erschlug sechshundert Philister mit einem Ochsenstecken, und auch er errettete Israel. |
