And Samson went down to Timnath, and saw a woman in Timnath of the daughters of the Philistines.
| 1 Descendió Sansón a Timnat, y vio en Timnat a una mujer de las hijas de los filisteos. | 1 Simson ging hinab nach Timna und sah ein Mädchen in Timna unter den Töchtern der Philister. |

And he came up, and told his father and his mother, and said, I have seen a woman in Timnath of the daughters of the Philistines: now therefore get her for me to wife.
| 2 Y subió, y lo declaró a su padre y a su madre, diciendo: Yo he visto en Timnat una mujer de las hijas de los filisteos; os ruego que me la toméis por mujer. | 2 Und als er heraufkam, sagte er's seinem Vater und seiner Mutter und sprach: Ich hab ein Mädchen gesehen in Timna unter den Töchtern der Philister; nehmt mir nun diese zur Frau. |

Then his father and his mother said unto him, Is there never a woman among the daughters of thy brethren, or among all my people, that thou goest to take a wife of the uncircumcised Philistines? And Samson said unto his father, Get her for me; for she pleaseth me well.
| 3 Y su padre y su madre le dijeron: ¿No hay mujer entre las hijas de tus hermanos, ni en todo nuestro pueblo, para que vayas tú a tomar mujer de los filisteos incircuncisos? Y Sansón respondió a su padre: Tómame ésta por mujer, porque ella me agrada. | 3 Sein Vater und seine Mutter sprachen zu ihm: Ist denn nun kein Mädchen unter den Töchtern deiner Brüder und in deinem ganzen Volk, daß du hingehst und willst eine Frau nehmen von den Philistern, die unbeschnitten sind? Simson sprach zu seinem Vater: Nimm mir diese, denn sie gefällt meinen Augen. |

But his father and his mother knew not that it was of the LORD, that he sought an occasion against the Philistines: for at that time the Philistines had dominion over Israel.
| 4 Mas su padre y su madre no sabían que esto venía de Jehová, porque él buscaba ocasión contra los filisteos; pues en aquel tiempo los filisteos dominaban sobre Israel. | 4 Aber sein Vater und seine Mutter wußten nicht, daß es von dem HERRN kam; denn er suchte einen Anlaß gegen die Philister. Die Philister aber herrschten zu der Zeit über Israel. |

Then went Samson down, and his father and his mother, to Timnath, and came to the vineyards of Timnath: and, behold, a young lion roared against him.
| 5 Y Sansón descendió con su padre y con su madre a Timnat; y cuando llegaron a las viñas de Timnat, he aquí un león joven que venía rugiendo hacia él. | 5 So ging Simson hinab mit seinem Vater und seiner Mutter nach Timna. Und als sie kamen an die Weinberge von Timna, siehe, da kam ein junger Löwe brüllend ihm entgegen. |

And the Spirit of the LORD came mightily upon him, and he rent him as he would have rent a kid, and he had nothing in his hand: but he told not his father or his mother what he had done.
| 6 Y el Espíritu de Jehová vino sobre Sansón, quien despedazó al león como quien despedaza un cabrito, sin tener nada en su mano; y no declaró ni a su padre ni a su madre lo que había hecho. | 6 Und der Geist des HERRN geriet über ihn, und er zerriß ihn, wie man ein Böcklein zerreißt, und hatte doch gar nichts in seiner Hand. Er sagte aber seinem Vater und seiner Mutter nicht, was er getan hatte. |

And he went down, and talked with the woman; and she pleased Samson well.
| 7 Descendió, pues, y habló a la mujer; y ella agradó a Sansón. | 7 Als er nun hinkam, redete er mit dem Mädchen, und Simson hatte Gefallen an ihr. |

And after a time he returned to take her, and he turned aside to see the carcase of the lion: and, behold, there was a swarm of bees and honey in the carcase of the lion.
| 8 Y volviendo después de algunos días para tomarla, se apartó del camino para ver el cuerpo muerto del león; y he aquí que en el cuerpo del león había un enjambre de abejas, y un panal de miel. | 8 Und nach einigen Tagen kam er wieder, um sie zu holen, und bog vom Wege ab, um nach dem Aas des Löwen zu sehen. Siehe, da war ein Bienenschwarm in dem Leibe des Löwen und Honig. |

And he took thereof in his hands, and went on eating, and came to his father and mother, and he gave them, and they did eat: but he told not them that he had taken the honey out of the carcase of the lion.
| 9 Y tomándolo en sus manos, se fue comiéndolo por el camino; y cuando alcanzó a su padre y a su madre, les dio también a ellos que comiesen; mas no les descubrió que había tomado aquella miel del cuerpo del león. | 9 Und er nahm davon in seine Hand und aß unterwegs und ging zu seinem Vater und zu seiner Mutter und gab ihnen, daß sie auch aßen. Er sagte ihnen aber nicht, daß er den Honig aus dem Leibe des Löwen genommen hatte. |

So his father went down unto the woman: and Samson made there a feast; for so used the young men to do.
| 10 Vino, pues, su padre adonde estaba la mujer, y Sansón hizo allí banquete; porque así solían hacer los jóvenes. | 10 Und als sein Vater hinkam zu dem Mädchen, machte Simson dort ein Hochzeitsgelage, wie es die jungen Leute zu tun pflegen. |

And it came to pass, when they saw him, that they brought thirty companions to be with him.
| 11 Y aconteció que cuando ellos le vieron, tomaron treinta compañeros para que estuviesen con él. | 11 Und als sie ihn sahen, gaben sie ihm dreißig Gesellen, die bei ihm sein sollten. |

And Samson said unto them, I will now put forth a riddle unto you: if ye can certainly declare it me within the seven days of the feast, and find it out, then I will give you thirty sheets and thirty change of garments:
| 12 Y Sansón les dijo: Yo os propondré ahora un enigma, y si en los siete días del banquete me lo declaráis y descifráis, yo os daré treinta vestidos de lino y treinta vestidos de fiesta. | 12 Simson aber sprach zu ihnen: Ich will euch ein Rätsel aufgeben. Wenn ihr mir das erratet und trefft in diesen sieben Tagen des Gelages, so will ich euch dreißig Gewänder geben und dreißig Feierkleider. |

But if ye cannot declare it me, then shall ye give me thirty sheets and thirty change of garments. And they said unto him, Put forth thy riddle, that we may hear it.
| 13 Mas si no me lo podéis declarar, entonces vosotros me daréis a mí los treinta vestidos de lino y los vestidos de fiesta. Y ellos respondieron: Propón tu enigma, y lo oiremos. | 13 Könnt ihr's aber nicht erraten, so sollt ihr mir dreißig Gewänder und dreißig Feierkleider geben. Und sie sprachen zu ihm: Gib dein Rätsel auf, laß uns hören! |

And he said unto them, Out of the eater came forth meat, and out of the strong came forth sweetness. And they could not in three days expound the riddle.
| 14 Entonces les dijo:
Del devorador salió comida,
Y del fuerte salió dulzura.
Y ellos no pudieron declararle el enigma en tres días. | 14 Er sprach zu ihnen: Speise ging aus vom Fresser und Süßigkeit vom Starken. Und sie konnten in drei Tagen das Rätsel nicht erraten. |

And it came to pass on the seventh day, that they said unto Samson's wife, Entice thy husband, that he may declare unto us the riddle, lest we burn thee and thy father's house with fire: have ye called us to take that we have? is it not so?
| 15 Al séptimo día dijeron a la mujer de Sansón: Induce a tu marido a que nos declare este enigma, para que no te quememos a ti y a la casa de tu padre. ¿Nos habéis llamado aquí para despojarnos? | 15 Am vierten Tage sprachen sie zu Simsons Frau: Überrede deinen Mann, daß er uns des Rätsels Lösung sagt, oder wir werden dich und deines Vaters Haus mit Feuer verbrennen. Habt ihr uns hierher geladen, um uns arm zu machen? |

And Samson's wife wept before him, and said, Thou dost but hate me, and lovest me not: thou hast put forth a riddle unto the children of my people, and hast not told it me. And he said unto her, Behold, I have not told it my father nor my mother, and shall I tell it thee?
| 16 Y lloró la mujer de Sansón en presencia de él, y dijo: Solamente me aborreces, y no me amas, pues no me declaras el enigma que propusiste a los hijos de mi pueblo. Y él respondió: He aquí que ni a mi padre ni a mi madre lo he declarado, ¿y te lo había de declarar a ti? | 16 Da weinte Simsons Frau vor ihm und sprach: Du bist meiner überdrüssig und hast mich nicht lieb. Du hast den Söhnen meines Volks ein Rätsel aufgegeben und hast mir's nicht gesagt. Er aber sprach zu ihr: Siehe, ich hab's meinem Vater und meiner Mutter nicht gesagt und sollte dir's sagen? |

And she wept before him the seven days, while their feast lasted: and it came to pass on the seventh day, that he told her, because she lay sore upon him: and she told the riddle to the children of her people.
| 17 Y ella lloró en presencia de él los siete días que ellos tuvieron banquete; mas al séptimo día él se lo declaró, porque le presionaba; y ella lo declaró a los hijos de su pueblo. | 17 Und sie weinte vor ihm die sieben Tage, die sie feierten; aber am siebenten Tage sagte er es ihr, denn sie drang in ihn. Sie aber sagte des Rätsels Lösung den Söhnen ihres Volks. |

And the men of the city said unto him on the seventh day before the sun went down, What is sweeter than honey? and what is stronger than a lion? And he said unto them, If ye had not plowed with my heifer, ye had not found out my riddle.
| 18 Al séptimo día, antes que el sol se pusiese, los de la ciudad le dijeron:
¿Qué cosa más dulce que la miel?
¿Y qué cosa más fuerte que el león?
Y él les respondió:
Si no araseis con mi novilla,
Nunca hubierais descubierto mi enigma. | 18 Da sprachen die Männer der Stadt zu ihm am siebenten Tage, ehe die Sonne unterging: Was ist süßer als Honig? Was ist stärker als der Löwe? Aber er sprach zu ihnen: Wenn ihr nicht mit meinem Kalb gepflügt hättet, so hättet ihr mein Rätsel nicht getroffen. |

And the Spirit of the LORD came upon him, and he went down to Ashkelon, and slew thirty men of them, and took their spoil, and gave change of garments unto them which expounded the riddle. And his anger was kindled, and he went up to his father's house.
| 19 Y el Espíritu de Jehová vino sobre él, y descendió a Ascalón y mató a treinta hombres de ellos; y tomando sus despojos, dio las mudas de vestidos a los que habían explicado el enigma; y encendido en enojo se volvió a la casa de su padre. | 19 Und der Geist des HERRN geriet über ihn, und er ging hinab nach Askalon und erschlug dreißig Mann unter ihnen und nahm ihre Gewänder und gab Feierkleider denen, die das Rätsel erraten hatten. Und sein Zorn entbrannte, und er ging hinauf in seines Vaters Haus. |

But Samson's wife was given to his companion, whom he had used as his friend. | 20 Y la mujer de Sansón fue dada a su compañero, al cual él había tratado como su amigo. | 20 Aber Simsons Frau wurde seinem Gesellen gegeben, der sein Brautführer gewesen war. |
