Now it came to pass, when Adoni-zedek king of Jerusalem had heard how Joshua had taken Ai, and had utterly destroyed it; as he had done to Jericho and her king, so he had done to Ai and her king; and how the inhabitants of Gibeon had made peace with Israel, and were among them;

That they feared greatly, because Gibeon was a great city, as one of the royal cities, and because it was greater than Ai, and all the men thereof were mighty.

Wherefore Adoni-zedek king of Jerusalem sent unto Hoham king of Hebron, and unto Piram king of Jarmuth, and unto Japhia king of Lachish, and unto Debir king of Eglon, saying,
| 3 Por lo cual Adonisedec rey de Jerusalén envió a Hoham rey de Hebrón, a Piream rey de Jarmut, a Jafía rey de Laquis y a Debir rey de Eglón, | 3 Und Adoni-Zedek, der König von Jerusalem, sandte zu Hoham, dem König von Hebron, und zu Piram, dem König von Jarmut, und zu Jafia, dem König von Lachisch, und zu Debir, dem König von Eglon, und ließ ihnen sagen: |

Come up unto me, and help me, that we may smite Gibeon: for it hath made peace with Joshua and with the children of Israel.
| 4 Subid a mí y ayudadme, y combatamos a Gabaón; porque ha hecho paz con Josué y con los hijos de Israel. | 4 Kommt herauf zu mir und helft mir, daß wir Gibeon schlagen; denn es hat mit Josua und den Israeliten Frieden gemacht. |

Therefore the five kings of the Amorites, the king of Jerusalem, the king of Hebron, the king of Jarmuth, the king of Lachish, the king of Eglon, gathered themselves together, and went up, they and all their hosts, and encamped before Gibeon, and made war against it.
| 5 Y cinco reyes de los amorreos, el rey de Jerusalén, el rey de Hebrón, el rey de Jarmut, el rey de Laquis y el rey de Eglón, se juntaron y subieron, ellos con todos sus ejércitos, y acamparon cerca de Gabaón, y pelearon contra ella. | 5 Da sammelten sich und zogen hinauf die fünf Könige der Amoriter, der König von Jerusalem, der König von Hebron, der König von Jarmut, der König von Lachisch, der König von Eglon mit ihrem ganzen Kriegsvolk und belagerten Gibeon und kämpften gegen die Stadt. |

And the men of Gibeon sent unto Joshua to the camp to Gilgal, saying, Slack not thy hand from thy servants; come up to us quickly, and save us, and help us: for all the kings of the Amorites that dwell in the mountains are gathered together against us.
| 6 Entonces los moradores de Gabaón enviaron a decir a Josué al campamento en Gilgal: No niegues ayuda a tus siervos; sube prontamente a nosotros para defendernos y ayudarnos; porque todos los reyes de los amorreos que habitan en las montañas se han unido contra nosotros. | 6 Aber die von Gibeon sandten zu Josua ins Lager nach Gilgal und ließen ihm sagen: Zieh deine Hand nicht ab von deinen Knechten; komm eilends zu uns herauf, rette und hilf uns! Denn es haben sich gegen uns versammelt alle Könige der Amoriter, die auf dem Gebirge wohnen. |

So Joshua ascended from Gilgal, he, and all the people of war with him, and all the mighty men of valour.
| 7 Y subió Josué de Gilgal, él y todo el pueblo de guerra con él, y todos los hombres valientes. | 7 Da zog Josua hinauf von Gilgal und das ganze Kriegsvolk mit ihm und alle streitbaren Männer. |

And the LORD said unto Joshua, Fear them not: for I have delivered them into thine hand; there shall not a man of them stand before thee.
| 8 Y Jehová dijo a Josué: No tengas temor de ellos; porque yo los he entregado en tu mano, y ninguno de ellos prevalecerá delante de ti. | 8 Und der HERR sprach zu Josua: Fürchte dich nicht vor ihnen; denn ich habe sie in deine Hände gegeben. Niemand unter ihnen wird vor dir bestehen können. |

Joshua therefore came unto them suddenly, and went up from Gilgal all night.
| 9 Y Josué vino a ellos de repente, habiendo subido toda la noche desde Gilgal. | 9 So kam Josua plötzlich über sie; denn die ganze Nacht war er heraufgezogen von Gilgal. |

And the LORD discomfited them before Israel, and slew them with a great slaughter at Gibeon, and chased them along the way that goeth up to Beth-horon, and smote them to Azekah, and unto Makkedah.
| 10 Y Jehová los llenó de consternación delante de Israel, y los hirió con gran mortandad en Gabaón; y los siguió por el camino que sube a Bet-horón, y los hirió hasta Azeca y Maceda. | 10 Und der HERR erschreckte sie vor Israel, daß sie eine große Schlacht schlugen bei Gibeon, und sie jagten ihnen nach, den Weg hinab nach Bet-Horon, und schlugen sie bis nach Aseka und Makkeda hin. |

And it came to pass, as they fled from before Israel, and were in the going down to Beth-horon, that the LORD cast down great stones from heaven upon them unto Azekah, and they died: they were more which died with hailstones than they whom the children of Israel slew with the sword.
| 11 Y mientras iban huyendo de los israelitas, a la bajada de Bet-horón, Jehová arrojó desde el cielo grandes piedras sobre ellos hasta Azeca, y murieron; y fueron más los que murieron por las piedras del granizo, que los que los hijos de Israel mataron a espada. | 11 Und als sie vor Israel flohen den Weg hinab nach Bet-Horon, ließ der HERR große Steine vom Himmel auf sie fallen bis Aseka, daß sie starben. Und von ihnen starben viel mehr durch die Hagelsteine, als die Israeliten mit dem Schwert töteten. |

Then spake Joshua to the LORD in the day when the LORD delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun, stand thou still upon Gibeon; and thou, Moon, in the valley of Ajalon.
| 12 Entonces Josué habló a Jehová el día en que Jehová entregó al amorreo delante de los hijos de Israel, y dijo en presencia de los israelitas:
Sol, detente en Gabaón;
Y tú, luna, en el valle de Ajalón. | 12 Damals redete Josua mit dem HERRN an dem Tage, da der HERR die Amoriter vor den Israeliten dahingab, und er sprach in Gegenwart Israels: Sonne, steh still zu Gibeon, und Mond, im Tal Ajalon! |

And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day.
| 13 Y el sol se detuvo y la luna se paró,
Hasta que la gente se hubo vengado de sus enemigos.
¿No está escrito esto en el libro de Jaser? Y el sol se paró en medio del cielo, y no se apresuró a ponerse casi un día entero. | 13 Da stand die Sonne still, und der Mond blieb stehen, bis sich das Volk an seinen Feinden gerächt hatte. Ist dies nicht geschrieben im Buch des Redlichen? So blieb die Sonne stehen mitten am Himmel und beeilte sich nicht unterzugehen fast einen ganzen Tag. |

And there was no day like that before it or after it, that the LORD hearkened unto the voice of a man: for the LORD fought for Israel.
| 14 Y no hubo día como aquel, ni antes ni después de él, habiendo atendido Jehová a la voz de un hombre; porque Jehová peleaba por Israel. | 14 Und es war kein Tag diesem gleich, weder vorher noch danach, daß der HERR so auf die Stimme eines Menschen hörte; denn der HERR stritt für Israel. |

And Joshua returned, and all Israel with him, unto the camp to Gilgal.
| 15 Y Josué, y todo Israel con él, volvió al campamento en Gilgal. | 15 Josua aber kehrte ins Lager nach Gilgal zurück und ganz Israel mit ihm. |

But these five kings fled, and hid themselves in a cave at Makkedah.
| 16 Y los cinco reyes huyeron, y se escondieron en una cueva en Maceda. | 16 Aber die fünf Könige waren geflohen und hatten sich versteckt in der Höhle bei Makkeda. |

And it was told Joshua, saying, The five kings are found hid in a cave at Makkedah.
| 17 Y fue dado aviso a Josué que los cinco reyes habían sido hallados escondidos en una cueva en Maceda. | 17 Da wurde Josua angesagt: Wir haben die fünf Könige gefunden, verborgen in der Höhle bei Makkeda. |

And Joshua said, Roll great stones upon the mouth of the cave, and set men by it for to keep them:
| 18 Entonces Josué dijo: Rodad grandes piedras a la entrada de la cueva, y poned hombres junto a ella para que los guarden; | 18 Josua sprach: So wälzt große Steine vor den Eingang der Höhle und stellt Männer davor, die sie bewachen; |

And stay ye not, but pursue after your enemies, and smite the hindmost of them; suffer them not to enter into their cities: for the LORD your God hath delivered them into your hand.
| 19 y vosotros no os detengáis, sino seguid a vuestros enemigos, y heridles la retaguardia, sin dejarles entrar en sus ciudades; porque Jehová vuestro Dios los ha entregado en vuestra mano. | 19 ihr aber, bleibt nicht stehen, sondern jagt euren Feinden nach und faßt sie von hinten; laßt sie nicht in ihre Städte entrinnen; denn der HERR, euer Gott, hat sie in eure Hände gegeben. |

And it came to pass, when Joshua and the children of Israel had made an end of slaying them with a very great slaughter, till they were consumed, that the rest which remained of them entered into fenced cities.
| 20 Y aconteció que cuando Josué y los hijos de Israel acabaron de herirlos con gran mortandad hasta destruirlos, los que quedaron de ellos se metieron en las ciudades fortificadas. | 20 Und als Josua und Israel sie ganz geschlagen hatten in dieser sehr großen Schlacht - was übrigblieb von ihnen, entkam in die festen Städte -, |

And all the people returned to the camp to Joshua at Makkedah in peace: none moved his tongue against any of the children of Israel.
| 21 Todo el pueblo volvió sano y salvo a Josué, al campamento en Maceda; no hubo quien moviese su lengua contra ninguno de los hijos de Israel. | 21 da kam das ganze Volk ins Lager zurück zu Josua nach Makkeda mit Frieden, und es wagte niemand, gegen Israel seine Zunge zu regen. |

Then said Joshua, Open the mouth of the cave, and bring out those five kings unto me out of the cave.
| 22 Entonces dijo Josué: Abrid la entrada de la cueva, y sacad de ella a esos cinco reyes. | 22 Josua aber sprach: Macht den Eingang der Höhle auf und bringt die fünf Könige heraus zu mir! |

And they did so, and brought forth those five kings unto him out of the cave, the king of Jerusalem, the king of Hebron, the king of Jarmuth, the king of Lachish, and the king of Eglon.
| 23 Y lo hicieron así, y sacaron de la cueva a aquellos cinco reyes: al rey de Jerusalén, al rey de Hebrón, al rey de Jarmut, al rey de Laquis y al rey de Eglón. | 23 Sie taten so und brachten die fünf Könige zu ihm aus der Höhle: den König von Jerusalem, den König von Hebron, den König von Jarmut, den König von Lachisch, den König von Eglon. |

And it came to pass, when they brought out those kings unto Joshua, that Joshua called for all the men of Israel, and said unto the captains of the men of war which went with him, Come near, put your feet upon the necks of these kings. And they came near, and put their feet upon the necks of them.
| 24 Y cuando los hubieron llevado a Josué, llamó Josué a todos los varones de Israel, y dijo a los principales de la gente de guerra que habían venido con él: Acercaos, y poned vuestros pies sobre los cuellos de estos reyes. Y ellos se acercaron y pusieron sus pies sobre los cuellos de ellos. | 24 Als aber die fünf Könige zu ihm herausgebracht waren, rief Josua alle Männer Israels zu sich und sprach zu den Obersten des Kriegsvolks, die mit ihm zogen: Kommt her und setzt eure Füße auf den Nacken dieser Könige. Und sie kamen und setzten ihre Füße auf ihren Nacken. |

And Joshua said unto them, Fear not, nor be dismayed, be strong and of good courage: for thus shall the LORD do to all your enemies against whom ye fight.
| 25 Y Josué les dijo: No temáis, ni os atemoricéis; sed fuertes y valientes, porque así hará Jehová a todos vuestros enemigos contra los cuales peleáis. | 25 Und Josua sprach zu ihnen: Fürchtet euch nicht und erschreckt nicht, seid getrost und unverzagt; denn ebenso wird der HERR allen euren Feinden tun, gegen die ihr kämpft. |

And afterward Joshua smote them, and slew them, and hanged them on five trees: and they were hanging upon the trees until the evening.
| 26 Y después de esto Josué los hirió y los mató, y los hizo colgar en cinco maderos; y quedaron colgados en los maderos hasta caer la noche. | 26 Und Josua schlug sie danach tot und hängte sie an fünf Bäume, und sie hingen an den Bäumen bis zum Abend. |

And it came to pass at the time of the going down of the sun, that Joshua commanded, and they took them down off the trees, and cast them into the cave wherein they had been hid, and laid great stones in the cave's mouth, which remain until this very day.
| 27 Y cuando el sol se iba a poner, mandó Josué que los quitasen de los maderos, y los echasen en la cueva donde se habían escondido; y pusieron grandes piedras a la entrada de la cueva, las cuales permanecen hasta hoy. | 27 Als aber die Sonne untergegangen war, gebot er, daß man sie von den Bäumen nehmen und in die Höhle werfen sollte, in die sie sich verkrochen hatten. Und sie legten große Steine vor den Eingang der Höhle. Die sind noch da bis auf diesen Tag. |

And that day Joshua took Makkedah, and smote it with the edge of the sword, and the king thereof he utterly destroyed, them, and all the souls that were therein; he let none remain: and he did to the king of Makkedah as he did unto the king of Jericho.
| 28 En aquel mismo día tomó Josué a Maceda, y la hirió a filo de espada, y mató a su rey; por completo los destruyó, con todo lo que en ella tenía vida, sin dejar nada; e hizo al rey de Maceda como había hecho al rey de Jericó. | 28 An diesem Tag eroberte Josua auch Makkeda und schlug es mit der Schärfe des Schwerts samt seinem König und vollstreckte den Bann an der Stadt und an allen, die darin waren, und ließ niemand übrig und tat mit dem König von Makkeda, wie er mit dem König von Jericho getan hatte. |

Then Joshua passed from Makkedah, and all Israel with him, unto Libnah, and fought against Libnah:
| 29 Y de Maceda pasó Josué, y todo Israel con él, a Libna; y peleó contra Libna; | 29 Da zogen Josua und ganz Israel mit ihm von Makkeda nach Libna und kämpften gegen Libna. |

And the LORD delivered it also, and the king thereof, into the hand of Israel; and he smote it with the edge of the sword, and all the souls that were therein; he let none remain in it; but did unto the king thereof as he did unto the king of Jericho.
| 30 y Jehová la entregó también a ella y a su rey en manos de Israel; y la hirió a filo de espada, con todo lo que en ella tenía vida, sin dejar nada; e hizo a su rey de la manera como había hecho al rey de Jericó. | 30 Und der HERR gab auch dieses mit seinem König in die Hand Israels; und er schlug die Stadt mit der Schärfe des Schwerts und alle, die darin waren, und ließ niemand darin übrig und tat mit ihrem König, wie er mit dem König von Jericho getan hatte. |

And Joshua passed from Libnah, and all Israel with him, unto Lachish, and encamped against it, and fought against it:
| 31 Y Josué, y todo Israel con él, pasó de Libna a Laquis, y acampó cerca de ella, y la combatió; | 31 Danach zogen Josua und ganz Israel mit ihm von Libna nach Lachisch, und er belagerte die Stadt und kämpfte gegen sie. |

And the LORD delivered Lachish into the hand of Israel, which took it on the second day, and smote it with the edge of the sword, and all the souls that were therein, according to all that he had done to Libnah.
| 32 y Jehová entregó a Laquis en mano de Israel, y la tomó al día siguiente, y la hirió a filo de espada, con todo lo que en ella tenía vida, así como había hecho en Libna. | 32 Und der HERR gab auch Lachisch in die Hände Israels, daß sie es am nächsten Tag eroberten und es schlugen mit der Schärfe des Schwerts und alle, die darin waren, ganz wie sie mit Libna getan hatten. |

Then Horam king of Gezer came up to help Lachish; and Joshua smote him and his people, until he had left him none remaining.
| 33 Entonces Horam rey de Gezer subió en ayuda de Laquis; mas a él y a su pueblo destruyó Josué, hasta no dejar a ninguno de ellos. | 33 Zu dieser Zeit zog Horam, der König von Geser, hinauf, um Lachisch zu helfen; aber Josua schlug ihn und sein Kriegsvolk, bis niemand übrigblieb. |

And from Lachish Joshua passed unto Eglon, and all Israel with him; and they encamped against it, and fought against it:

And they took it on that day, and smote it with the edge of the sword, and all the souls that were therein he utterly destroyed that day, according to all that he had done to Lachish.

And Joshua went up from Eglon, and all Israel with him, unto Hebron; and they fought against it:

And they took it, and smote it with the edge of the sword, and the king thereof, and all the cities thereof, and all the souls that were therein; he left none remaining, according to all that he had done to Eglon; but destroyed it utterly, and all the souls that were therein.
| 37 Y tomándola, la hirieron a filo de espada, a su rey y a todas sus ciudades, con todo lo que en ella tenía vida, sin dejar nada; como había hecho a Eglón, así la destruyeron con todo lo que en ella tenía vida. | 37 und eroberten sie und schlugen sie mit der Schärfe des Schwerts, samt ihrem König und allen ihren Städten und allen, die darin waren; und er ließ niemand übrig, ganz wie er mit Eglon getan hatte, und vollstreckte an ihm den Bann und an allen, die darin waren. |

And Joshua returned, and all Israel with him, to Debir; and fought against it:
| 38 Después volvió Josué, y todo Israel con él, sobre Debir, y combatió contra ella; | 38 Da kehrte Josua um mit ganz Israel nach Debir und kämpfte gegen die Stadt |

And he took it, and the king thereof, and all the cities thereof; and they smote them with the edge of the sword, and utterly destroyed all the souls that were therein; he left none remaining: as he had done to Hebron, so he did to Debir, and to the king thereof; as he had done also to Libnah, and to her king.
| 39 y la tomó, y a su rey, y a todas sus ciudades; y las hirieron a filo de espada, y destruyeron todo lo que allí dentro tenía vida, sin dejar nada; como había hecho a Hebrón, y como había hecho a Libna y a su rey, así hizo a Debir y a su rey. | 39 und eroberte sie samt ihrem König und allen ihren Städten, und sie schlugen sie mit der Schärfe des Schwerts und vollstreckten den Bann an allen, die darin waren, und er ließ niemand übrig. So Joshua smote all the country of the hills, and of the south, and of the vale, and of the springs, and all their kings: he left none remaining, but utterly destroyed all that breathed, as the LORD God of Israel commanded.
| 40 Hirió, pues, Josué toda la región de las montañas, del Neguev, de los llanos y de las laderas, y a todos sus reyes, sin dejar nada; todo lo que tenía vida lo mató, como Jehová Dios de Israel se lo había mandado. | 40 So schlug Josua das ganze Land auf dem Gebirge und im Süden und im Hügelland und an den Abhängen mit allen seinen Königen und ließ niemand übrig und vollstreckte den Bann an allem, was Odem hatte, wie der HERR, der Gott Israels, geboten hatte. |

And Joshua smote them from Kadesh-barnea even unto Gaza, and all the country of Goshen, even unto Gibeon.
| 41 Y los hirió Josué desde Cades-barnea hasta Gaza, y toda la tierra de Gosén hasta Gabaón. | 41 Und er schlug sie von Kadesch-Barnea an bis Gaza und das ganze Land Goschen bis Gibeon |

And all these kings and their land did Joshua take at one time, because the LORD God of Israel fought for Israel.
| 42 Todos estos reyes y sus tierras los tomó Josué de una vez; porque Jehová el Dios de Israel peleaba por Israel. | 42 und unterwarf alle diese Könige mit ihrem Lande auf einmal; denn der HERR, der Gott Israels, stritt für Israel. |

And Joshua returned, and all Israel with him, unto the camp to Gilgal. | 43 Y volvió Josué, y todo Israel con él, al campamento en Gilgal. | 43 Und Josua kehrte ins Lager nach Gilgal zurück mit ganz Israel. |
