The word that the LORD spake against Babylon and against the land of the Chaldeans by Jeremiah the prophet.
| 1 Palabra que habló Jehová contra Babilonia, contra la tierra de los caldeos, por medio del profeta Jeremías. | 1 Dies ist das Wort, das der HERR durch den Propheten Jeremia geredet hat wider Babel und das Land der Chaldäer: |

Declare ye among the nations, and publish, and set up a standard; publish, and conceal not: say, Babylon is taken, Bel is confounded, Merodach is broken in pieces; her idols are confounded, her images are broken in pieces.
| 2 Anunciad en las naciones, y haced saber; levantad también bandera, publicad, y no encubráis; decid: Tomada es Babilonia, Bel es confundido, deshecho es Merodac; destruidas son sus esculturas, quebrados son sus ídolos. | 2 Verkündet's unter den Völkern und laßt's erschallen, richtet das Banner auf! Laßt's erschallen und verbergt es nicht und sprecht: Babel ist genommen, Bel ist zuschanden, Merodach ist zerschmettert; ihre Götzen sind zuschanden, ihre Götterbilder sind zerschmettert! |

For out of the north there cometh up a nation against her, which shall make her land desolate, and none shall dwell therein: they shall remove, they shall depart, both man and beast.
| 3 Porque subió contra ella una nación del norte, la cual pondrá su tierra en asolamiento, y no habrá ni hombre ni animal que en ella more; huyeron, y se fueron. | 3 Denn es zieht von Norden ein Volk heran gegen sie, das ihr Land zur Wüste macht, so daß niemand darin wohnen wird, sondern Menschen und Vieh daraus fliehen werden. |

In those days, and in that time, saith the LORD, the children of Israel shall come, they and the children of Judah together, going and weeping: they shall go, and seek the LORD their God.
| 4 En aquellos días y en aquel tiempo, dice Jehová, vendrán los hijos de Israel, ellos y los hijos de Judá juntamente; e irán andando y llorando, y buscarán a Jehová su Dios. | 4 In jenen Tagen und zur selben Zeit, spricht der HERR, werden kommen die Leute von Israel samt den Leuten von Juda und weinend umherziehen und den HERRN, ihren Gott, suchen. |

They shall ask the way to Zion with their faces thitherward, saying, Come, and let us join ourselves to the LORD in a perpetual covenant that shall not be forgotten.
| 5 Preguntarán por el camino de Sion, hacia donde volverán sus rostros, diciendo: Venid, y juntémonos a Jehová con pacto eterno que jamás se ponga en olvido. | 5 Sie werden fragen nach dem Wege nach Zion und sich dorthin kehren: "Kommt, wir wollen uns dem HERRN zuwenden zu einem ewigen Bunde, der nimmermehr vergessen werden soll!" |

My people hath been lost sheep: their shepherds have caused them to go astray, they have turned them away on the mountains: they have gone from mountain to hill, they have forgotten their restingplace.
| 6 Ovejas perdidas fueron mi pueblo; sus pastores las hicieron errar, por los montes las descarriaron; anduvieron de monte en collado, y se olvidaron de sus rediles. | 6 Denn mein Volk ist wie eine verlorne Herde. Ihre Hirten haben sie verführt und auf den Bergen in die Irre gehen lassen, daß sie über Berge und Hügel gehen mußten und ihren Ruheplatz vergaßen. |

All that found them have devoured them: and their adversaries said, We offend not, because they have sinned against the LORD, the habitation of justice, even the LORD, the hope of their fathers.
| 7 Todos los que los hallaban, los devoraban; y decían sus enemigos: No pecaremos, porque ellos pecaron contra Jehová morada de justicia, contra Jehová esperanza de sus padres. | 7 Es fraßen sie alle, die sie antrafen, und ihre Feinde sprachen: Wir tun nicht unrecht! Denn sie haben sich versündigt an dem HERRN, der rechten Weide, und an dem HERRN, der ihrer Väter Hoffnung war. |

Remove out of the midst of Babylon, and go forth out of the land of the Chaldeans, and be as the he goats before the flocks.
| 8 Huid de en medio de Babilonia, y salid de la tierra de los caldeos, y sed como los machos cabríos que van delante del rebańo. | 8 Fliehet aus Babel und zieht aus der Chaldäer Lande und macht's wie die Böcke vor der Herde! |

For, lo, I will raise and cause to come up against Babylon an assembly of great nations from the north country: and they shall set themselves in array against her; from thence she shall be taken: their arrows shall be as of a mighty expert man; none shall return in vain.
| 9 Porque yo levanto y hago subir contra Babilonia reunión de grandes pueblos de la tierra del norte; desde allí se prepararán contra ella, y será tomada; sus flechas son como de valiente diestro, que no volverá vacío. | 9 Denn siehe, ich will Völker in großen Scharen erwecken und aus dem Lande des Nordens gegen Babel heranführen; die sollen sich gegen die Stadt rüsten und sie auch einnehmen. Ihre Pfeile sind wie die eines guten Kriegers, der nicht mit leeren Händen zurückkehrt. |

And Chaldea shall be a spoil: all that spoil her shall be satisfied, saith the LORD.
| 10 Y Caldea será para botín; todos los que la saquearen se saciarán, dice Jehová. | 10 Und das Chaldäerland soll ein Raub werden; alle, die es berauben, sollen satt werden, spricht der HERR. |

Because ye were glad, because ye rejoiced, O ye destroyers of mine heritage, because ye are grown fat as the heifer at grass, and bellow as bulls;
| 11 Porque os alegrasteis, porque os gozasteis destruyendo mi heredad, porque os llenasteis como novilla sobre la hierba, y relinchasteis como caballos. | 11 Wenn ihr euch auch freut und rühmt, daß ihr mein Erbteil geplündert habt, und hüpft wie die Kälber im Grase und wiehert wie die starken Rosse, |

Your mother shall be sore confounded; she that bare you shall be ashamed: behold, the hindermost of the nations shall be a wilderness, a dry land, and a desert.
| 12 Vuestra madre se avergonzó mucho, se afrentó la que os dio a luz; he aquí será la última de las naciones; desierto, sequedal y páramo. | 12 so wird eure Mutter doch sehr zuschanden und, die euch geboren hat, zum Spott werden. Siehe, unter den Völkern soll sie die geringste sein, wüst, dürr und öde. |

Because of the wrath of the LORD it shall not be inhabited, but it shall be wholly desolate: every one that goeth by Babylon shall be astonished, and hiss at all her plagues.
| 13 Por la ira de Jehová no será habitada, sino será asolada toda ella; todo hombre que pasare por Babilonia se asombrará, y se burlará de sus calamidades. | 13 Denn vor dem Zorn des HERRN wird sie unbewohnt und ganz wüst bleiben, so daß alle, die an Babel vorüberziehen, sich entsetzen werden und spotten über alle ihre Plagen. |

Put yourselves in array against Babylon round about: all ye that bend the bow, shoot at her, spare no arrows: for she hath sinned against the LORD.
| 14 Poneos en orden contra Babilonia alrededor, todos los que entesáis arco; tirad contra ella, no escatiméis las saetas, porque pecó contra Jehová. | 14 Stellt euch ringsum gegen Babel auf, all ihr Bogenschützen; schießt nach ihr, spart nicht an Pfeilen; denn sie hat wider den HERRN gesündigt. |

Shout against her round about: she hath given her hand: her foundations are fallen, her walls are thrown down: for it is the vengeance of the LORD: take vengeance upon her; as she hath done, do unto her.
| 15 Gritad contra ella en derredor; se rindió; han caído sus cimientos, derribados son sus muros, porque es venganza de Jehová. Tomad venganza de ella; haced con ella como ella hizo. | 15 Erhebet das Kriegsgeschrei ringsum. Sie hat sich ergeben, ihre Pfeiler sind gefallen, ihre Mauern sind abgebrochen; denn so vergilt der HERR. Übt Vergeltung an Babel, tut ihr, wie sie getan hat. |

Cut off the sower from Babylon, and him that handleth the sickle in the time of harvest: for fear of the oppressing sword they shall turn every one to his people, and they shall flee every one to his own land.
| 16 Destruid en Babilonia al que siembra, y al que mete hoz en tiempo de la siega; delante de la espada destructora cada uno volverá el rostro hacia su pueblo, cada uno huirá hacia su tierra. | 16 Rottet aus von Babel den Sämann und den Schnitter in der Ernte! Vor dem mörderischen Schwert wird sich jeder zu seinem Volk wenden und in sein Land fliehen. |

Israel is a scattered sheep; the lions have driven him away: first the king of Assyria hath devoured him; and last this Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon hath broken his bones.
| 17 Rebańo descarriado es Israel; leones lo dispersaron; el rey de Asiria lo devoró primero, Nabucodonosor rey de Babilonia lo deshuesó después. | 17 Israel war eine zerstreute Herde, die die Löwen verscheucht haben. Zuerst fraß sie der König von Assyrien, danach nagte ihre Knochen ab Nebukadnezar, der König von Babel. |

Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will punish the king of Babylon and his land, as I have punished the king of Assyria.
| 18 Por tanto, así ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel: Yo castigo al rey de Babilonia y a su tierra, como castigué al rey de Asiria. | 18 Darum spricht der HERR Zebaoth, der Gott Israels: Siehe, ich will heimsuchen den König von Babel und sein Land, gleichwie ich den König von Assyrien heimgesucht habe. |

And I will bring Israel again to his habitation, and he shall feed on Carmel and Bashan, and his soul shall be satisfied upon mount Ephraim and Gilead.
| 19 Y volveré a traer a Israel a su morada, y pacerá en el Carmelo y en Basán; y en el monte de Efraín y en Galaad se saciará su alma. | 19 Israel aber will ich wieder heim zu seiner Wohnung bringen, daß sie auf dem Karmel und in Baschan weiden und sich sättigen sollen auf dem Gebirge Ephraim und Gilead. |

In those days, and in that time, saith the LORD, the iniquity of Israel shall be sought for, and there shall be none; and the sins of Judah, and they shall not be found: for I will pardon them whom I reserve.
| 20 En aquellos días y en aquel tiempo, dice Jehová, la maldad de Israel será buscada, y no aparecerá; y los pecados de Judá, y no se hallarán; porque perdonaré a los que yo hubiere dejado. | 20 Zur selben Zeit und in jenen Tagen wird man die Missetat Israels suchen, spricht der HERR, aber es wird keine da sein, und die Sünden Judas, aber es wird keine gefunden werden; denn ich will sie vergeben denen, die ich übrigbleiben lasse. |

Go up against the land of Merathaim, even against it, and against the inhabitants of Pekod: waste and utterly destroy after them, saith the LORD, and do according to all that I have commanded thee.
| 21 Sube contra la tierra de Merataim, contra ella y contra los moradores de Pecod; destruye y mata en pos de ellos, dice Jehová, y haz conforme a todo lo que yo te he mandado. | 21 Zieh heran gegen das Land Meratajim; zieh heran gegen die Einwohner von Pekod*; vertilge sie und vollziehe den Bann an ihren Nachkommen, spricht der HERR, und tu alles, was ich dir befohlen habe! *Meratajim bedeutet "Doppeltrotz", Pekod "Heimsuchung"; gemeint ist Babel. |

A sound of battle is in the land, and of great destruction.
| 22 Estruendo de guerra en la tierra, y quebrantamiento grande. | 22 Es ist ein Kriegsgeschrei im Lande und großer Jammer. |

How is the hammer of the whole earth cut asunder and broken! how is Babylon become a desolation among the nations!
| 23 ˇCómo fue cortado y quebrado el martillo de toda la tierra! ˇcómo se convirtió Babilonia en desolación entre las naciones! | 23 Wie ist der Hammer der ganzen Welt zerbrochen und zerschlagen! Wie ist Babel zum Bild des Entsetzens geworden unter allen Völkern! |

I have laid a snare for thee, and thou art also taken, O Babylon, and thou wast not aware: thou art found, and also caught, because thou hast striven against the LORD.
| 24 Te puse lazos, y fuiste tomada, oh Babilonia, y tú no lo supiste; fuiste hallada, y aun presa, porque provocaste a Jehová. | 24 Ich habe dir Fallen gestellt, Babel, und du hast dich darin gefangen, ehe du dich's versahst; du bist getroffen und ergriffen, denn du hast den HERRN herausgefordert. |

The LORD hath opened his armoury, and hath brought forth the weapons of his indignation: for this is the work of the Lord GOD of hosts in the land of the Chaldeans.
| 25 Abrió Jehová su tesoro, y sacó los instrumentos de su furor; porque esta es obra de Jehová, Dios de los ejércitos, en la tierra de los caldeos. | 25 Der HERR hat sein Zeughaus aufgetan und die Waffen seines Zorns hervorgeholt; denn Gott, der HERR Zebaoth, hat etwas auszurichten in der Chaldäer Lande. |

Come against her from the utmost border, open her storehouses: cast her up as heaps, and destroy her utterly: let nothing of her be left.
| 26 Venid contra ella desde el extremo de la tierra; abrid sus almacenes, convertidla en montón de ruinas, y destruidla; que no le quede nada. | 26 Kommt her gegen dies Land von allen Enden, öffnet seine Kornhäuser, werft alles auf einen Haufen und vollzieht den Bann an ihm, daß nichts übrigbleibe! |

Slay all her bullocks; let them go down to the slaughter: woe unto them! for their day is come, the time of their visitation.
| 27 Matad a todos sus novillos; que vayan al matadero. ˇAy de ellos! pues ha venido su día, el tiempo de su castigo. | 27 Tötet alle seine Stiere, führt sie hinab zur Schlachtbank! Weh ihnen, denn ihr Tag ist gekommen, die Zeit ihrer Heimsuchung! |

The voice of them that flee and escape out of the land of Babylon, to declare in Zion the vengeance of the LORD our God, the vengeance of his temple.
| 28 Voz de los que huyen y escapan de la tierra de Babilonia, para dar en Sion las nuevas de la retribución de Jehová nuestro Dios, de la venganza de su templo. | 28 Man hört ein Geschrei der Flüchtigen und derer, die entronnen sind aus dem Lande Babel, daß sie verkünden zu Zion die Vergeltung des HERRN, unseres Gottes, die Vergeltung für seinen Tempel. |

Call together the archers against Babylon: all ye that bend the bow, camp against it round about; let none thereof escape: recompense her according to her work; according to all that she hath done, do unto her: for she hath been proud against the LORD, against the Holy One of Israel.
| 29 Haced juntar contra Babilonia flecheros, a todos los que entesan arco; acampad contra ella alrededor; no escape de ella ninguno; pagadle según su obra; conforme a todo lo que ella hizo, haced con ella; porque contra Jehová se ensoberbeció, contra el Santo de Israel. | 29 Rufet viele wider Babel, belagert es ringsum, all ihr Bogenschützen, und laßt keinen davonkommen! Vergeltet Babel, wie es verdient hat; wie es getan hat, so tut ihm wieder! Denn es hat stolz gehandelt wider den HERRN, den Heiligen Israels. |

Therefore shall her young men fall in the streets, and all her men of war shall be cut off in that day, saith the LORD.
| 30 Por tanto, sus jóvenes caerán en sus plazas, y todos sus hombres de guerra serán destruidos en aquel día, dice Jehová. | 30 Darum soll seine junge Mannschaft fallen auf seinen Gassen, und alle seine Kriegsleute sollen umkommen an jenem Tage, spricht der HERR. |

Behold, I am against thee, O thou most proud, saith the Lord GOD of hosts: for thy day is come, the time that I will visit thee.
| 31 He aquí yo estoy contra ti, oh soberbio, dice el Seńor, Jehová de los ejércitos; porque tu día ha venido, el tiempo en que te castigaré. | 31 Siehe, du Stolzer, ich will an dich, spricht Gott, der HERR Zebaoth; denn dein Tag ist gekommen, die Zeit deiner Heimsuchung. |

And the most proud shall stumble and fall, and none shall raise him up: and I will kindle a fire in his cities, and it shall devour all round about him.
| 32 Y el soberbio tropezará y caerá, y no tendrá quien lo levante; y encenderé fuego en sus ciudades, y quemaré todos sus alrededores. | 32 Da soll der Stolze stürzen und fallen, daß ihn niemand aufrichte. Ich will an seine Städte Feuer legen; das soll alles, was ringsumher ist, verzehren. |

Thus saith the LORD of hosts; The children of Israel and the children of Judah were oppressed together: and all that took them captives held them fast; they refused to let them go.
| 33 Así ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos: Oprimidos fueron los hijos de Israel y los hijos de Judá juntamente; y todos los que los tomaron cautivos los retuvieron; no los quisieron soltar. | 33 So spricht der HERR Zebaoth: Siehe, die Leute von Israel samt den Leuten von Juda müssen Gewalt und Unrecht leiden; alle, die sie gefangen weggeführt haben, halten sie fest und wollen sie nicht loslassen. |

Their Redeemer is strong; the LORD of hosts is his name: he shall throughly plead their cause, that he may give rest to the land, and disquiet the inhabitants of Babylon.
| 34 El redentor de ellos es el Fuerte; Jehová de los ejércitos es su nombre; de cierto abogará la causa de ellos para hacer reposar la tierra, y turbar a los moradores de Babilonia. | 34 Aber ihr Erlöser ist stark, der heißt HERR Zebaoth; der wird ihre Sache so hinausführen, daß er das Land erbeben und die Einwohner von Babel erzittern läßt. |

A sword is upon the Chaldeans, saith the LORD, and upon the inhabitants of Babylon, and upon her princes, and upon her wise men.
| 35 Espada contra los caldeos, dice Jehová, y contra los moradores de Babilonia, contra sus príncipes y contra sus sabios. | 35 Das Schwert soll kommen, spricht der HERR, über die Chaldäer und über die Einwohner von Babel und über ihre Fürsten und über ihre Weisen! |

A sword is upon the liars; and they shall dote: a sword is upon her mighty men; and they shall be dismayed.
| 36 Espada contra los adivinos, y se entontecerán; espada contra sus valientes, y serán quebrantados. | 36 Das Schwert soll kommen über ihre Wahrsager, daß sie zu Narren werden; das Schwert soll kommen über ihre Starken, daß sie verzagen! |

A sword is upon their horses, and upon their chariots, and upon all the mingled people that are in the midst of her; and they shall become as women: a sword is upon her treasures; and they shall be robbed.
| 37 Espada contra sus caballos, contra sus carros, y contra todo el pueblo que está en medio de ella, y serán como mujeres; espada contra sus tesoros, y serán saqueados. | 37 Das Schwert soll kommen über ihre Rosse und Wagen und über alles fremde Volk, das darin ist, daß sie zu Weibern werden! Das Schwert soll kommen über ihre Schätze, daß sie geplündert werden! |

A drought is upon her waters; and they shall be dried up: for it is the land of graven images, and they are mad upon their idols.
| 38 Sequedad sobre sus aguas, y se secarán; porque es tierra de ídolos, y se entontecen con imágenes. | 38 Dürre soll kommen über ihre Wasser, daß sie versiegen! Denn es ist ein Götzenland, und an ihren schrecklichen Götzen sind sie toll geworden. |

Therefore the wild beasts of the desert with the wild beasts of the islands shall dwell there, and the owls shall dwell therein: and it shall be no more inhabited for ever; neither shall it be dwelt in from generation to generation.
| 39 Por tanto, allí morarán fieras del desierto y chacales, morarán también en ella polluelos de avestruz; nunca más será poblada ni se habitará por generaciones y generaciones. | 39 Darum sollen Wüstentiere und wilde Hunde darin wohnen und die Strauße, und es soll nie mehr bewohnt werden und niemand darin hausen für und für. |

As God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah and the neighbour cities thereof, saith the LORD; so shall no man abide there, neither shall any son of man dwell therein.
| 40 Como en la destrucción que Dios hizo de Sodoma y de Gomorra y de sus ciudades vecinas, dice Jehová, así no morará allí hombre, ni hijo de hombre la habitará. | 40 Gleichwie Gott Sodom und Gomorra samt ihren Nachbarn zerstört hat, spricht der HERR, soll niemand darin wohnen noch ein Mensch darin hausen. |

Behold, a people shall come from the north, and a great nation, and many kings shall be raised up from the coasts of the earth.
| 41 He aquí viene un pueblo del norte, y una nación grande y muchos reyes se levantarán de los extremos de la tierra. | 41 Siehe, es kommt ein Volk von Norden her; viele Völker und viele Könige werden vom Ende der Erde sich aufmachen. |

They shall hold the bow and the lance: they are cruel, and will not shew mercy: their voice shall roar like the sea, and they shall ride upon horses, every one put in array, like a man to the battle, against thee, O daughter of Babylon.
| 42 Arco y lanza manejarán; serán crueles, y no tendrán compasión; su voz rugirá como el mar, y montarán sobre caballos; se prepararán contra ti como hombres a la pelea, oh hija de Babilonia. | 42 Die haben Bogen und Speer; sie sind grausam und unbarmherzig; ihr Geschrei ist wie das Brausen des Meeres; sie reiten auf Rossen, gerüstet als Kriegsleute gegen dich, du Tochter Babel. |

The king of Babylon hath heard the report of them, and his hands waxed feeble: anguish took hold of him, and pangs as of a woman in travail.
| 43 Oyó la noticia el rey de Babilonia, y sus manos se debilitaron; angustia le tomó, dolor como de mujer de parto. | 43 Wenn der König von Babel die Kunde von ihnen hören wird, so werden ihm die Hände niedersinken; ihm wird so angst und bange werden wie einer Frau in Kindsnöten. |

Behold, he shall come up like a lion from the swelling of Jordan unto the habitation of the strong: but I will make them suddenly run away from her: and who is a chosen man, that I may appoint over her? for who is like me? and who will appoint me the time? and who is that shepherd that will stand before me?
| 44 He aquí que como león subirá de la espesura del Jordán a la morada fortificada; porque muy pronto le haré huir de ella, y al que yo escoja la encargaré; porque żquién es semejante a mí? ży quién me emplazará? żo quién será aquel pastor que podrá resistirme? | 44 Siehe, er kommt herauf wie ein Löwe aus dem Dickicht des Jordans in die Auen; denn ich will sie eilends daraus wegtreiben und den, der erwählt ist, darüber setzen. Denn wer ist mir gleich, wer will mich meistern, und wer ist der Hirte, der mir widerstehen kann? |

Therefore hear ye the counsel of the LORD, that he hath taken against Babylon; and his purposes, that he hath purposed against the land of the Chaldeans: Surely the least of the flock shall draw them out: surely he shall make their habitation desolate with them.
| 45 Por tanto, oíd la determinación que Jehová ha acordado contra Babilonia, y los pensamientos que ha formado contra la tierra de los caldeos: Ciertamente a los más pequeńos de su rebańo los arrastrarán, y destruirán sus moradas con ellos. | 45 So hört nun den Ratschluß des HERRN, den er über Babel gefaßt hat, und seine Gedanken, die er hat über die Einwohner im Lande der Chaldäer! Was gilt's? Wird man sie nicht fortschleifen mit den geringsten ihrer Schafe, werden ihretwegen nicht ihre Auen veröden? |

At the noise of the taking of Babylon the earth is moved, and the cry is heard among the nations. | 46 Al grito de la toma de Babilonia la tierra tembló, y el clamor se oyó entre las naciones. | 46 Und die Erde wird beben von dem Ruf: Babel ist genommen!, und sein Wehgeschrei wird unter den Völkern erschallen. |
