The word which came unto Jeremiah from the LORD, when king Zedekiah sent unto him Pashur the son of Melchiah, and Zephaniah the son of Maaseiah the priest, saying,
| 1 Palabra de Jehová que vino a Jeremías, cuando el rey Sedequías envió a él a Pasur hijo de Malquías y al sacerdote Sofonías hijo de Maasías, | 1 Dies ist das Wort, das vom HERRN geschah zu Jeremia, als der König Zedekia zu ihm sandte Paschhur, den Sohn Malkias, und Zefanja, den Sohn Maasejas, den Priester, und ihm sagen ließ: |

Enquire, I pray thee, of the LORD for us; for Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon maketh war against us; if so be that the LORD will deal with us according to all his wondrous works, that he may go up from us.
| 2 Consulta ahora acerca de nosotros a Jehová, porque Nabucodonosor rey de Babilonia hace guerra contra nosotros; quizá Jehová hará con nosotros según todas sus maravillas, y aquél se irá de sobre nosotros. | 2 Befrage doch den HERRN für uns; denn Nebukadnezar, der König von Babel, führt Krieg gegen uns. Vielleicht wird der HERR doch an uns sein Wunder tun wie so manches Mal, damit jener von uns abzieht. |

Then said Jeremiah unto them, Thus shall ye say to Zedekiah:
| 3 | 3 Jeremia sprach zu ihnen: So sagt zu Zedekia: |

Thus saith the LORD God of Israel; Behold, I will turn back the weapons of war that are in your hands, wherewith ye fight against the king of Babylon, and against the Chaldeans, which besiege you without the walls, and I will assemble them into the midst of this city.
| 4 Así ha dicho Jehová Dios de Israel: He aquí yo vuelvo atrás las armas de guerra que están en vuestras manos, con que vosotros peleáis contra el rey de Babilonia; y a los caldeos que están fuera de la muralla y os tienen sitiados, yo los reuniré en medio de esta ciudad. | 4 Das spricht der HERR, der Gott Israels: Siehe, ich will euch zum Rückzug zwingen samt euren Waffen, die ihr in euren Händen habt und mit denen ihr kämpft gegen den König von Babel und gegen die Chaldäer, die euch draußen vor der Mauer belagern, und will euch versammeln mitten in dieser Stadt. |

And I myself will fight against you with an outstretched hand and with a strong arm, even in anger, and in fury, and in great wrath.
| 5 Pelearé contra vosotros con mano alzada y con brazo fuerte, con furor y enojo e ira grande. | 5 Und ich selbst will wider euch streiten mit ausgestreckter Hand, mit starkem Arm, mit Zorn und Grimm und ohne Erbarmen |

And I will smite the inhabitants of this city, both man and beast: they shall die of a great pestilence.
| 6 Y heriré a los moradores de esta ciudad, y los hombres y las bestias morirán de pestilencia grande. | 6 und will die Bürger dieser Stadt schlagen, Menschen und Tiere, daß sie sterben sollen durch eine große Pest. |

And afterward, saith the LORD, I will deliver Zedekiah king of Judah, and his servants, and the people, and such as are left in this city from the pestilence, from the sword, and from the famine, into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of those that seek their life: and he shall smite them with the edge of the sword; he shall not spare them, neither have pity, nor have mercy.
| 7 Después, dice Jehová, entregaré a Sedequías rey de Judá, a sus criados, al pueblo y a los que queden de la pestilencia, de la espada y del hambre en la ciudad, en mano de Nabucodonosor rey de Babilonia, en mano de sus enemigos y de los que buscan sus vidas, y él los herirá a filo de espada; no los perdonará, ni tendrá compasión de ellos, ni tendrá de ellos misericordia. | 7 Und danach, spricht der HERR, will ich Zedekia, den König von Juda, samt seinen Großen und dem Volk, das in dieser Stadt von Pest, Schwert und Hunger übriggelassen wird, in die Hände Nebukadnezars, des Königs von Babel, geben und in die Hände ihrer Feinde und in die Hände derer, die ihnen nach dem Leben trachten. Er wird sie mit der Schärfe des Schwerts schlagen schonungslos, ohne Gnade und Erbarmen. |

And unto this people thou shalt say, Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I set before you the way of life, and the way of death.
| 8 Y a este pueblo dirás: Así ha dicho Jehová: He aquí pongo delante de vosotros camino de vida y camino de muerte. | 8 Und zu diesem Volk sage: So spricht der HERR: Siehe, ich lege euch vor den Weg zum Leben und den Weg zum Tode. |

He that abideth in this city shall die by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence: but he that goeth out, and falleth to the Chaldeans that besiege you, he shall live, and his life shall be unto him for a prey.
| 9 El que quedare en esta ciudad morirá a espada, de hambre o de pestilencia; mas el que saliere y se pasare a los caldeos que os tienen sitiados, vivirá, y su vida le será por despojo. | 9 Wer in dieser Stadt bleibt, der wird sterben müssen durch Schwert, Hunger und Pest; wer sich aber hinausbegibt und überläuft zu den Chaldäern, die euch belagern, der soll am Leben bleiben und soll sein Leben als Beute behalten. |

For I have set my face against this city for evil, and not for good, saith the LORD: it shall be given into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall burn it with fire.
| 10 Porque mi rostro he puesto contra esta ciudad para mal, y no para bien, dice Jehová; en mano del rey de Babilonia será entregada, y la quemará a fuego. | 10 Denn ich habe mein Angesicht gegen diese Stadt gerichtet zum Unheil und nicht zum Heil, spricht der HERR. Sie soll dem König von Babel übergeben werden, daß er sie mit Feuer verbrenne. |

And touching the house of the king of Judah, say, Hear ye the word of the LORD;
| 1 | 11 Und zum Hause des Königs von Juda sage: Höret des HERRN Wort, |

O house of David, thus saith the LORD; Execute judgment in the morning, and deliver him that is spoiled out of the hand of the oppressor, lest my fury go out like fire, and burn that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings.
| 12 Casa de David, así dijo Jehová: Haced de mañana juicio, y librad al oprimido de mano del opresor, para que mi ira no salga como fuego, y se encienda y no haya quien lo apague, por la maldad de vuestras obras. | 12 ihr vom Hause David! So spricht der HERR: Haltet alle Morgen gerechtes Gericht und errettet den Bedrückten aus des Frevlers Hand, auf daß nicht mein Grimm ausfahre wie Feuer und brenne, ohne daß jemand löschen kann, um eurer bösen Taten willen. |

Behold, I am against thee, O inhabitant of the valley, and rock of the plain, saith the LORD; which say, Who shall come down against us? or who shall enter into our habitations?
| 13 He aquí yo estoy contra ti, moradora del valle, y de la piedra de la llanura, dice Jehová; los que decís: ¿Quién subirá contra nosotros, y quién entrará en nuestras moradas? | 13 Siehe, spricht der HERR, ich will an dich, du Stadt, die du wohnst auf dem Felsen im Tal und sprichst: Wer will uns überfallen, und wer will in unsere Feste kommen? |

But I will punish you according to the fruit of your doings, saith the LORD: and I will kindle a fire in the forest thereof, and it shall devour all things round about it. | 14 Yo os castigaré conforme al fruto de vuestras obras, dice Jehová, y haré encender fuego en su bosque, y consumirá todo lo que está alrededor de él. | 14 Ich will euch heimsuchen, spricht der HERR, nach der Frucht eures Tuns; ich will ein Feuer in ihrem Wald anzünden, das soll alles umher verzehren. |
