When thou didst terrible things which we looked not for, thou camest down, the mountains flowed down at thy presence.

For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him.
| 4 Ni nunca oyeron, ni oídos percibieron, ni ojo ha visto a Dios fuera de ti, que hiciese por el que en él espera. | 4 Du begegnetest denen, die Gerechtigkeit übten und auf deinen Wegen deiner gedachten. Siehe, du zürntest, als wir von alters her gegen dich sündigten und abtrünnig wurden. |

Thou meetest him that rejoiceth and worketh righteousness, those that remember thee in thy ways: behold, thou art wroth; for we have sinned: in those is continuance, and we shall be saved.
| 5 Saliste al encuentro del que con alegría hacía justicia, de los que se acordaban de ti en tus caminos; he aquí, tú te enojaste porque pecamos; en los pecados hemos perseverado por largo tiempo; ¿podremos acaso ser salvos? | 5 Aber nun sind wir alle wie die Unreinen, und alle unsre Gerechtigkeit ist wie ein beflecktes Kleid. Wir sind alle verwelkt wie die Blätter, und unsre Sünden tragen uns davon wie der Wind. |

But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

And there is none that calleth upon thy name, that stirreth up himself to take hold of thee: for thou hast hid thy face from us, and hast consumed us, because of our iniquities.
| 7 Nadie hay que invoque tu nombre, que se despierte para apoyarse en ti; por lo cual escondiste de nosotros tu rostro, y nos dejaste marchitar en poder de nuestras maldades. | 7 Aber nun, HERR, du bist doch unser Vater! Wir sind Ton, du bist unser Töpfer, und wir alle sind deiner Hände Werk. |

But now, O LORD, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.

Be not wroth very sore, O LORD, neither remember iniquity for ever: behold, see, we beseech thee, we are all thy people.
| 9 No te enojes sobremanera, Jehová, ni tengas perpetua memoria de la iniquidad; he aquí, mira ahora, pueblo tuyo somos todos nosotros. | 9 Deine heiligen Städte sind zur Wüste geworden, Zion ist zur Wüste geworden, Jerusalem liegt zerstört. |

Thy holy cities are a wilderness, Zion is a wilderness, Jerusalem a desolation.

Our holy and our beautiful house, where our fathers praised thee, is burned up with fire: and all our pleasant things are laid waste.
| 11 La casa de nuestro santuario y de nuestra gloria, en la cual te alabaron nuestros padres, fue consumida al fuego; y todas nuestras cosas preciosas han sido destruidas. | 11 HERR, willst du bei alledem noch zögern und schweigen und uns so sehr niederschlagen? |

Wilt thou refrain thyself for these things, O LORD? wilt thou hold thy peace, and afflict us very sore? | 12 ¿Te estarás quieto, oh Jehová, sobre estas cosas? ¿Callarás, y nos afligirás sobremanera? | |
