Thus saith the LORD, Where is the bill of your mother's divorcement, whom I have put away? or which of my creditors is it to whom I have sold you? Behold, for your iniquities have ye sold yourselves, and for your transgressions is your mother put away.
| 1 Así dijo Jehová: ¿Qué es de la carta de repudio de vuestra madre, con la cual yo la repudié? ¿O quiénes son mis acreedores, a quienes yo os he vendido? He aquí que por vuestras maldades sois vendidos, y por vuestras rebeliones fue repudiada vuestra madre. | 1 So spricht der HERR: Wo ist der Scheidebrief eurer Mutter, mit dem ich sie entlassen hätte? Oder wer ist mein Gläubiger, dem ich euch verkauft hätte? Siehe, ihr seid um eurer Sünden willen verkauft, und eure Mutter ist um eurer Abtrünnigkeit willen entlassen. |

Wherefore, when I came, was there no man? when I called, was there none to answer? Is my hand shortened at all, that it cannot redeem? or have I no power to deliver? behold, at my rebuke I dry up the sea, I make the rivers a wilderness: their fish stinketh, because there is no water, and dieth for thirst.
| 2 ¿Por qué cuando vine, no hallé a nadie, y cuando llamé, nadie respondió? ¿Acaso se ha acortado mi mano para no redimir? ¿No hay en mí poder para librar? He aquí que con mi reprensión hago secar el mar; convierto los ríos en desierto; sus peces se pudren por falta de agua, y mueren de sed. | 2 Warum kam ich, und niemand war da? Warum rief ich, und niemand antwortete? Ist mein Arm nun so kurz geworden, daß er nicht mehr erlösen kann? Oder ist bei mir keine Kraft mehr, zu erretten? Siehe, mit meinem Schelten mache ich das Meer trocken und die Wasserströme zur Wüste, daß ihre Fische vor Mangel an Wasser stinken und vor Durst sterben. |

I clothe the heavens with blackness, and I make sackcloth their covering.

The Lord GOD hath given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary: he wakeneth morning by morning, he wakeneth mine ear to hear as the learned.
| 4 Jehová el Señor me dio lengua de sabios, para saber hablar palabras al cansado; despertará mañana tras mañana, despertará mi oído para que oiga como los sabios. | 4 Gott der HERR hat mir eine Zunge gegeben, wie sie Jünger haben, daß ich wisse, mit den Müden zu rechter Zeit zu reden. Alle Morgen weckt er mir das Ohr, daß ich höre, wie Jünger hören. |

The Lord GOD hath opened mine ear, and I was not rebellious, neither turned away back.
| 5 Jehová el Señor me abrió el oído, y yo no fui rebelde, ni me volví atrás. | 5 Gott der HERR hat mir das Ohr geöffnet. Und ich bin nicht ungehorsam und weiche nicht zurück. |

I gave my back to the smiters, and my cheeks to them that plucked off the hair: I hid not my face from shame and spitting.
| 6 Di mi cuerpo a los heridores, y mis mejillas a los que me mesaban la barba; no escondí mi rostro de injurias y de esputos. | 6 Ich bot meinen Rücken dar denen, die mich schlugen, und meine Wangen denen, die mich rauften. Mein Angesicht verbarg ich nicht vor Schmach und Speichel. |

For the Lord GOD will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed.
| 7 Porque Jehová el Señor me ayudará, por tanto no me avergoncé; por eso puse mi rostro como un pedernal, y sé que no seré avergonzado. | 7 Aber Gott der HERR hilft mir, darum werde ich nicht zuschanden. Darum hab ich mein Angesicht hart gemacht wie einen Kieselstein; denn ich weiß, daß ich nicht zuschanden werde. |

He is near that justifieth me; who will contend with me? let us stand together: who is mine adversary? let him come near to me.
| 8 Cercano está de mí el que me salva; ¿quién contenderá conmigo? Juntémonos. ¿Quién es el adversario de mi causa? Acérquese a mí. | 8 Er ist nahe, der mich gerecht spricht; wer will mit mir rechten? Laßt uns zusammen vortreten! Wer will mein Recht anfechten? Der komme her zu mir! |

Behold, the Lord GOD will help me; who is he that shall condemn me? lo, they all shall wax old as a garment; the moth shall eat them up.
| 9 He aquí que Jehová el Señor me ayudará; ¿quién hay que me condene? He aquí que todos ellos se envejecerán como ropa de vestir, serán comidos por la polilla. | 9 Siehe, Gott der HERR hilft mir; wer will mich verdammen? Siehe, sie alle werden wie Kleider zerfallen, die die Motten fressen. |

Who is among you that feareth the LORD, that obeyeth the voice of his servant, that walketh in darkness, and hath no light? let him trust in the name of the LORD, and stay upon his God.
| 10 ¿Quién hay entre vosotros que teme a Jehová, y oye la voz de su siervo? El que anda en tinieblas y carece de luz, confíe en el nombre de Jehová, y apóyese en su Dios. | 10 Wer ist unter euch, der den HERRN fürchtet, der der Stimme seines Knechts gehorcht, der im Finstern wandelt und dem kein Licht scheint? Der hoffe auf den Namen des HERRN und verlasse sich auf seinen Gott! |

Behold, all ye that kindle a fire, that compass yourselves about with sparks: walk in the light of your fire, and in the sparks that ye have kindled. This shall ye have of mine hand; ye shall lie down in sorrow. | 11 He aquí que todos vosotros encendéis fuego, y os rodeáis de teas; andad a la luz de vuestro fuego, y de las teas que encendisteis. De mi mano os vendrá esto; en dolor seréis sepultados. | 11 Siehe, ihr alle, die ihr ein Feuer anzündet und Brandpfeile zurüstet, geht hin in die Glut eures Feuers und in die Brandpfeile, die ihr angezündet habt! Das widerfährt euch von meiner Hand; in Schmerzen sollt ihr liegen. |
