I was wroth with my people, I have polluted mine inheritance, and given them into thine hand: thou didst shew them no mercy; upon the ancient hast thou very heavily laid thy yoke.

And thou saidst, I shall be a lady for ever: so that thou didst not lay these things to thy heart, neither didst remember the latter end of it.

Therefore hear now this, thou that art given to pleasures, that dwellest carelessly, that sayest in thine heart, I am, and none else beside me; I shall not sit as a widow, neither shall I know the loss of children:

But these two things shall come to thee in a moment in one day, the loss of children, and widowhood: they shall come upon thee in their perfection for the multitude of thy sorceries, and for the great abundance of thine enchantments.

Ja, es wird in vollem Maße über dich kommen trotz der Menge deiner Zaubereien und trotz der großen Macht deiner Beschwörungen. |

For thou hast trusted in thy wickedness: thou hast said, None seeth me. Thy wisdom and thy knowledge, it hath perverted thee; and thou hast said in thine heart, I am, and none else beside me.

Tu sabiduría y tu misma ciencia te engañaron, y dijiste en tu corazón: Yo, y nadie más. | 10 Denn du hast dich auf deine Bosheit verlassen, als du dachtest: Niemand sieht mich! Therefore shall evil come upon thee; thou shalt not know from whence it riseth: and mischief shall fall upon thee; thou shalt not be able to put it off: and desolation shall come upon thee suddenly, which thou shalt not know.
| 11 Vendrá, pues, sobre ti mal, cuyo nacimiento no sabrás; caerá sobre ti quebrantamiento, el cual no podrás remediar; y destrucción que no sepas vendrá de repente sobre ti. | 11 Aber nun wird über dich Unglück kommen, das du nicht wegzuzaubern weißt, und Unheil wird auf dich fallen, das du nicht durch Sühne abwenden kannst. Und es wird plötzlich ein Verderben über dich kommen, dessen du dich nicht versiehst. |

Stand now with thine enchantments, and with the multitude of thy sorceries, wherein thou hast laboured from thy youth; if so be thou shalt be able to profit, if so be thou mayest prevail.
| 12 Estate ahora en tus encantamientos y en la multitud de tus hechizos, en los cuales te fatigaste desde tu juventud; quizá podrás mejorarte, quizá te fortalecerás. | 12 So tritt nun auf mit deinen Beschwörungen und der Menge deiner Zaubereien, um die du dich von deiner Jugend auf bemüht hast, ob du dir helfen und es abwenden kannst. |

Thou art wearied in the multitude of thy counsels. Let now the astrologers, the stargazers, the monthly prognosticators, stand up, and save thee from these things that shall come upon thee.
| 13 Te has fatigado en tus muchos consejos. Comparezcan ahora y te defiendan los contempladores de los cielos, los que observan las estrellas, los que cuentan los meses, para pronosticar lo que vendrá sobre ti. | 13 Du hast dich müde gemacht mit der Menge deiner Pläne. Es sollen hertreten und dir helfen die Meister des Himmelslaufs und die Sterngucker, die an jedem Neumond kundtun, was über dich kommen werde! |

Behold, they shall be as stubble; the fire shall burn them; they shall not deliver themselves from the power of the flame: there shall not be a coal to warm at, nor fire to sit before it.
| 14 He aquí que serán como tamo; fuego los quemará, no salvarán sus vidas del poder de la llama; no quedará brasa para calentarse, ni lumbre a la cual se sienten. | 14 Siehe, sie sind wie Stoppeln, die das Feuer verbrennt, sie können ihr Leben nicht erretten vor der Flamme Gewalt. Denn es wird nicht eine Glut sein, an der man sich wärmen, oder ein Feuer, um das man sitzen könnte. |

Thus shall they be unto thee with whom thou hast laboured, even thy merchants, from thy youth: they shall wander every one to his quarter; none shall save thee. | 15 Así te serán aquellos con quienes te fatigaste, los que traficaron contigo desde tu juventud; cada uno irá por su camino, no habrá quien te salve. | 15 So sind alle, um die du dich bemüht hast, die mit dir Handel trieben von deiner Jugend auf: ein jeder wird hierhin und dorthin wanken, und du hast keinen Retter. |
