Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in judgment.

The vile person shall be no more called liberal, nor the churl said to be bountiful.

For the vile person will speak villany, and his heart will work iniquity, to practise hypocrisy, and to utter error against the LORD, to make empty the soul of the hungry, and he will cause the drink of the thirsty to fail.
| 6 Porque el ruin hablará ruindades, y su corazón fabricará iniquidad, para cometer impiedad y para hablar escarnio contra Jehová, dejando vacía el alma hambrienta, y quitando la bebida al sediento. | 6 Denn ein Narr redet Narrheit, und sein Herz geht mit Unheil um, daß er Ruchloses anrichte und rede über den HERRN lauter Trug; dadurch läßt er hungrig die hungrigen Seelen und wehrt den Durstigen das Trinken. |

The instruments also of the churl are evil: he deviseth wicked devices to destroy the poor with lying words, even when the needy speaketh right.

But the liberal deviseth liberal things; and by liberal things shall he stand.

Many days and years shall ye be troubled, ye careless women: for the vintage shall fail, the gathering shall not come.

They shall lament for the teats, for the pleasant fields, for the fruitful vine.

Upon the land of my people shall come up thorns and briers; yea, upon all the houses of joy in the joyous city:

Because the palaces shall be forsaken; the multitude of the city shall be left; the forts and towers shall be for dens for ever, a joy of wild asses, a pasture of flocks;
| 14 Porque los palacios quedarán desiertos, la multitud de la ciudad cesará; las torres y fortalezas se volverán cuevas para siempre, donde descansen asnos monteses, y ganados hagan majada; | 14 Denn die Paläste werden verlassen sein, und die Stadt, die voll Getümmel war, wird einsam sein, daß Burg und Turm für immer zu Höhlen werden, dem Wild zur Freude, den Herden zur Weide, |

Until the spirit be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness be a fruitful field, and the fruitful field be counted for a forest.
| 15 hasta que sobre nosotros sea derramado el Espíritu de lo alto, y el desierto se convierta en campo fértil, y el campo fértil sea estimado por bosque. | 15 so lange bis über uns ausgegossen wird der Geist aus der Höhe. Dann wird die Wüste zum fruchtbaren Lande und das fruchtbare Land wie Wald geachtet werden. |

Then judgment shall dwell in the wilderness, and righteousness remain in the fruitful field.
| 16 Y habitará el juicio en el desierto, y en el campo fértil morará la justicia. | 16 Und das Recht wird in der Wüste wohnen und Gerechtigkeit im fruchtbaren Lande. |

And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.

And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places;

When it shall hail, coming down on the forest; and the city shall be low in a low place.
