Woe to the land shadowing with wings, which is beyond the rivers of Ethiopia:

That sendeth ambassadors by the sea, even in vessels of bulrushes upon the waters, saying, Go, ye swift messengers, to a nation scattered and peeled, to a people terrible from their beginning hitherto; a nation meted out and trodden down, whose land the rivers have spoiled!
| 2 que envía mensajeros por el mar, y en naves de junco sobre las aguas! Andad, mensajeros veloces, a la nación de elevada estatura y tez brillante, al pueblo temible desde su principio y después, gente fuerte y conquistadora, cuya tierra es surcada por ríos. | 2 das Boten über das Meer sendet und in leichten Schiffen auf den Wassern fährt! Geht hin, ihr schnellen Boten, zum Volk, das hochgewachsen und glatt ist, zum Volk, das schrecklicher ist als sonst irgendeins, zum Volk, das befiehlt und zertritt, dessen Land Wasserströme durchschneiden. |

All ye inhabitants of the world, and dwellers on the earth, see ye, when he lifteth up an ensign on the mountains; and when he bloweth a trumpet, hear ye.
| 3 Vosotros, todos los moradores del mundo y habitantes de la tierra, cuando se levante bandera en los montes, mirad; y cuando se toque trompeta, escuchad. | 3 Alle, die ihr auf Erden wohnt und in den Ländern lebt, - wenn man das Banner auf den Bergen aufrichtet, so sehet! For so the LORD said unto me, I will take my rest, and I will consider in my dwelling place like a clear heat upon herbs, and like a cloud of dew in the heat of harvest.
| 4 Porque Jehová me dijo así: Me estaré quieto, y los miraré desde mi morada, como sol claro después de la lluvia, como nube de rocío en el calor de la siega. | 4 Denn so spricht der HERR zu mir: Ich will schauen von meiner Stätte und will still warten wie drückende Hitze am hohen Mittag und wie Taugewölk in der Hitze der Ernte. |

For afore the harvest, when the bud is perfect, and the sour grape is ripening in the flower, he shall both cut off the sprigs with pruning hooks, and take away and cut down the branches.
| 5 Porque antes de la siega, cuando el fruto sea perfecto, y pasada la flor se maduren los frutos, entonces podará con podaderas las ramitas, y cortará y quitará las ramas. | 5 Denn vor der Ernte, wenn die Blüte vorüber ist und die Traube noch reift, wird er die Ranken mit Winzermessern abschneiden und die Reben wegnehmen und abhauen, |

They shall be left together unto the fowls of the mountains, and to the beasts of the earth: and the fowls shall summer upon them, and all the beasts of the earth shall winter upon them.
| 6 Y serán dejados todos para las aves de los montes y para las bestias de la tierra; sobre ellos tendrán el verano las aves, e invernarán todas las bestias de la tierra. | 6 daß man's miteinander liegen läßt für die Geier auf den Bergen und die Tiere im Lande, daß im Sommer die Geier darauf sitzen und im Winter allerlei Tiere im Lande darauf liegen. |

In that time shall the present be brought unto the LORD of hosts of a people scattered and peeled, and from a people terrible from their beginning hitherto; a nation meted out and trodden under foot, whose land the rivers have spoiled, to the place of the name of the LORD of hosts, the mount Zion. | 7 En aquel tiempo será traída ofrenda a Jehová de los ejércitos, del pueblo de elevada estatura y tez brillante, del pueblo temible desde su principio y después, gente fuerte y conquistadora, cuya tierra es surcada por ríos, al lugar del nombre de Jehová de los ejércitos, al monte de Sion. | 7 Zu der Zeit wird das hochgewachsene und glatte Volk, das schrecklicher ist als sonst irgendeins, das befiehlt und zertritt, dessen Land Wasserströme durchschneiden, Geschenke bringen dem HERRN Zebaoth an den Ort, da der Name des HERRN Zebaoth wohnt, zum Berge Zion. |
