Lift ye up a banner upon the high mountain, exalt the voice unto them, shake the hand, that they may go into the gates of the nobles.

I have commanded my sanctified ones, I have also called my mighty ones for mine anger, even them that rejoice in my highness.

The noise of a multitude in the mountains, like as of a great people; a tumultuous noise of the kingdoms of nations gathered together: the LORD of hosts mustereth the host of the battle.

Der HERR Zebaoth rüstet ein Heer zum Kampf. |

They come from a far country, from the end of heaven, even the LORD, and the weapons of his indignation, to destroy the whole land.
| 5 Vienen de lejana tierra, de lo postrero de los cielos, Jehová y los instrumentos de su ira, para destruir toda la tierra. | 5 Sie kommen aus fernen Landen, vom Ende des Himmels, ja, der HERR selbst samt den Werkzeugen seines Zorns, um zu verderben die ganze Erde. |

Howl ye; for the day of the LORD is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty.
| 6 Aullad, porque cerca está el día de Jehová; vendrá como asolamiento del Todopoderoso. | 6 Heulet, denn des HERRN Tag ist nahe; er kommt wie eine Verwüstung vom Allmächtigen. |

Therefore shall all hands be faint, and every man's heart shall melt:
| 7 Por tanto, toda mano se debilitará, y desfallecerá todo corazón de hombre, | 7 Darum werden alle Hände schlaff, und aller Menschen Herz wird feige sein. |

And they shall be afraid: pangs and sorrows shall take hold of them; they shall be in pain as a woman that travaileth: they shall be amazed one at another; their faces shall be as flames.
| 8 y se llenarán de terror; angustias y dolores se apoderarán de ellos; tendrán dolores como mujer de parto; se asombrará cada cual al mirar a su compańero; sus rostros, rostros de llamas. | 8 Schrecken, Angst und Schmerzen wird sie ankommen, es wird ihnen bange sein wie einer Gebärenden. Einer wird sich vor dem andern entsetzen, feuerrot werden ihre Angesichter sein. |

Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it.
| 9 He aquí el día de Jehová viene, terrible, y de indignación y ardor de ira, para convertir la tierra en soledad, y raer de ella a sus pecadores. | 9 Denn siehe, des HERRN Tag kommt grausam, zornig, grimmig, die Erde zu verwüsten und die Sünder von ihr zu vertilgen. |

For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine.

And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.
| 11 Y castigaré al mundo por su maldad, y a los impíos por su iniquidad; y haré que cese la arrogancia de los soberbios, y abatiré la altivez de los fuertes. | 11 Ich will den Erdkreis heimsuchen um seiner Bosheit willen und die Gottlosen um ihrer Missetat willen und will dem Hochmut der Stolzen ein Ende machen und die Hoffart der Gewaltigen demütigen, |

I will make a man more precious than fine gold; even a man than the golden wedge of Ophir.
| 12 Haré más precioso que el oro fino al varón, y más que el oro de Ofir al hombre. | 12 daß ein Mann kostbarer sein soll als feinstes Gold und ein Mensch wertvoller als Goldstücke aus Ofir. |

Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the LORD of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger.
| 13 Porque haré estremecer los cielos, y la tierra se moverá de su lugar, en la indignación de Jehová de los ejércitos, y en el día del ardor de su ira. | 13 Darum will ich den Himmel bewegen, und die Erde soll beben und von ihrer Stätte weichen durch den Grimm des HERRN Zebaoth, am Tage seines Zorns. |

And it shall be as the chased roe, and as a sheep that no man taketh up: they shall every man turn to his own people, and flee every one into his own land.
| 14 Y como gacela perseguida, y como oveja sin pastor, cada cual mirará hacia su pueblo, y cada uno huirá a su tierra. | 14 Und sie sollen sein wie ein verscheuchtes Reh und wie eine Herde ohne Hirten, daß sich ein jeder zu seinem Volk kehren und ein jeder in sein Land fliehen wird. |

Every one that is found shall be thrust through; and every one that is joined unto them shall fall by the sword.
| 15 Cualquiera que sea hallado será alanceado; y cualquiera que por ellos sea tomado, caerá a espada. | 15 Wer da gefunden wird, wird erstochen, und wen man aufgreift, wird durchs Schwert fallen. |

Their children also shall be dashed to pieces before their eyes; their houses shall be spoiled, and their wives ravished.

Behold, I will stir up the Medes against them, which shall not regard silver; and as for gold, they shall not delight in it.

Their bows also shall dash the young men to pieces; and they shall have no pity on the fruit of the womb; their eye shall not spare children.
| 18 Con arco tirarán a los nińos, y no tendrán misericordia del fruto del vientre, ni su ojo perdonará a los hijos. | 18 sondern die Jünglinge mit Bogen erschießen und sich der Frucht des Leibes nicht erbarmen und die Kinder nicht schonen. |

And Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldees' excellency, shall be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah.

It shall never be inhabited, neither shall it be dwelt in from generation to generation: neither shall the Arabian pitch tent there; neither shall the shepherds make their fold there.
| 20 Nunca más será habitada, ni se morará en ella de generación en generación; ni levantará allí tienda el árabe, ni pastores tendrán allí majada; | 20 daß man hinfort nicht mehr da wohne noch jemand da bleibe für und für, daß auch Araber dort keine Zelte aufschlagen noch Hirten ihre Herden lagern lassen, |

But wild beasts of the desert shall lie there; and their houses shall be full of doleful creatures; and owls shall dwell there, and satyrs shall dance there.

And the wild beasts of the islands shall cry in their desolate houses, and dragons in their pleasant palaces: and her time is near to come, and her days shall not be prolonged. | 22 En sus palacios aullarán hienas, y chacales en sus casas de deleite; y cercano a llegar está su tiempo, y sus días no se alargarán. | 22 und wilde Hunde werden in ihren Palästen heulen und Schakale in den Schlössern der Lust. Ihre Zeit wird bald kommen, und ihre Tage lassen nicht auf sich warten. |
