Israel is an empty vine, he bringeth forth fruit unto himself: according to the multitude of his fruit he hath increased the altars; according to the goodness of his land they have made goodly images.

Their heart is divided; now shall they be found faulty: he shall break down their altars, he shall spoil their images.
| 2 Está dividido su corazón. Ahora serán hallados culpables; Jehová demolerá sus altares, destruirá sus ídolos. | 2 Ihr Herz ist falsch; nun wird sie ihre Schuld treffen. Ihre Altäre sollen zerbrochen und ihre Steinmale zerstört werden. |

For now they shall say, We have no king, because we feared not the LORD; what then should a king do to us?

The inhabitants of Samaria shall fear because of the calves of Beth-aven: for the people thereof shall mourn over it, and the priests thereof that rejoiced on it, for the glory thereof, because it is departed from it.

It shall be also carried unto Assyria for a present to king Jareb: Ephraim shall receive shame, and Israel shall be ashamed of his own counsel.
| 6 Aun será él llevado a Asiria como presente al rey Jareb; Efraín será avergonzado, e Israel se avergonzará de su consejo. | 6 Ja, das Kalb wird nach Assyrien gebracht zum Geschenk für den König Jareb. So muß Ephraim zuschanden werden und Israel beschämt sein trotz seiner Klugheit. |

As for Samaria, her king is cut off as the foam upon the water.

The high places also of Aven, the sin of Israel, shall be destroyed: the thorn and the thistle shall come up on their altars; and they shall say to the mountains, Cover us; and to the hills, Fall on us.
| 8 Y los lugares altos de Avén serán destruidos, el pecado de Israel; crecerá sobre sus altares espino y cardo. Y dirán a los montes: Cubridnos; y a los collados: Caed sobre nosotros. | 8 Die Höhen zu Awen sind verwüstet, auf denen sich Israel versündigte; Disteln und Dornen wachsen auf ihren Altären. Und sie werden sagen: Ihr Berge, bedecket uns! und: Ihr Hügel, fallet über uns! |

O Israel, thou hast sinned from the days of Gibeah: there they stood: the battle in Gibeah against the children of iniquity did not overtake them.

It is in my desire that I should chastise them; and the people shall be gathered against them, when they shall bind themselves in their two furrows.

And Ephraim is as an heifer that is taught, and loveth to tread out the corn; but I passed over upon her fair neck: I will make Ephraim to ride; Judah shall plow, and Jacob shall break his clods.

Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.
| 12 Sembrad para vosotros en justicia, segad para vosotros en misericordia; haced para vosotros barbecho; porque es el tiempo de buscar a Jehová, hasta que venga y os enseñe justicia. | 12 Säet Gerechtigkeit und erntet nach dem Maße der Liebe! Pflüget ein Neues, solange es Zeit ist, den HERRN zu suchen, bis er kommt und Gerechtigkeit über euch regnen läßt! |

Ye have plowed wickedness, ye have reaped iniquity; ye have eaten the fruit of lies: because thou didst trust in thy way, in the multitude of thy mighty men.
| 13 Habéis arado impiedad, y segasteis iniquidad; comeréis fruto de mentira, porque confiaste en tu camino y en la multitud de tus valientes. | 13 Ihr aber pflügt Böses und erntet Übeltat und esset Lügenfrüchte. Weil du dich nun verläßt auf deinen Weg und auf die Menge deiner Helden, |

Therefore shall a tumult arise among thy people, and all thy fortresses shall be spoiled, as Shalman spoiled Beth-arbel in the day of battle: the mother was dashed in pieces upon her children.
| 14 Por tanto, en tus pueblos se levantará alboroto, y todas tus fortalezas serán destruidas, como destruyó Salmán a Bet-arbel en el día de la batalla, cuando la madre fue destrozada con los hijos. | 14 darum soll sich ein Getümmel erheben in deinem Volk, daß alle deine Festungen zerstört werden, gleichwie Schalman zerstörte Bet-Arbeel damals im Krieg, als die Mutter zerschmettert wurde samt den Kindern. |

So shall Bethel do unto you because of your great wickedness: in a morning shall the king of Israel utterly be cut off. | 15 Así hará a vosotros Bet-el, por causa de vuestra gran maldad; a la mañana será del todo cortado el rey de Israel. | 15 So soll's euch zu Bethel auch ergehen um eurer großen Bosheit willen; schon früh am Morgen wird der König von Israel untergehen. |
