In the seventh month, in the one and twentieth day of the month, came the word of the LORD by the prophet Haggai, saying,

Speak now to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, and to the residue of the people, saying,
| 2 Habla ahora a Zorobabel hijo de Salatiel, gobernador de Judá, y a Josué hijo de Josadac, sumo sacerdote, y al resto del pueblo, | 2 Sage zu Serubbabel, dem Sohn Schealtïls, dem Statthalter von Juda, und zu Jeschua, dem Sohn Jozadaks, dem Hohenpriester, und zu den übrigen vom Volk und sprich: |

Who is left among you that saw this house in her first glory? and how do ye see it now? is it not in your eyes in comparison of it as nothing?
| 3 ¿Quién ha quedado entre vosotros que haya visto esta casa en su gloria primera, y cómo la veis ahora? ¿No es ella como nada delante de vuestros ojos? | 3 Wer ist unter euch noch übrig, der dies Haus in seiner früheren Herrlichkeit gesehen hat? Und wie seht ihr's nun? Sieht es nicht wie nichts aus? |

Yet now be strong, O Zerubbabel, saith the LORD; and be strong, O Joshua, son of Josedech, the high priest; and be strong, all ye people of the land, saith the LORD, and work: for I am with you, saith the LORD of hosts:

According to the word that I covenanted with you when ye came out of Egypt, so my spirit remaineth among you: fear ye not.

For thus saith the LORD of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land;
| 6 Porque así dice Jehová de los ejércitos: De aquí a poco yo haré temblar los cielos y la tierra, el mar y la tierra seca; | 6 Denn so spricht der HERR Zebaoth: Es ist nur noch eine kleine Weile, so werde ich Himmel und Erde, das Meer und das Trockene erschüttern. |

And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the LORD of hosts.
| 7 y haré temblar a todas las naciones, y vendrá el Deseado de todas las naciones; y llenaré de gloria esta casa, ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos. | 7 Ja, alle Heiden will ich erschüttern. Da sollen dann kommen aller Völker Kostbarkeiten, und ich will dies Haus voll Herrlichkeit machen, spricht der HERR Zebaoth. |

The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the LORD of hosts.
| 8 Mía es la plata, y mío es el oro, dice Jehová de los ejércitos. | 8 Denn mein ist das Silber, und mein ist das Gold, spricht der HERR Zebaoth. |

The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the LORD of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the LORD of hosts.
| 9 La gloria postrera de esta casa será mayor que la primera, ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos; y daré paz en este lugar, dice Jehová de los ejércitos. | 9 Es soll die Herrlichkeit dieses neuen Hauses größer werden, als die des ersten gewesen ist, spricht der HERR Zebaoth; und ich will Frieden geben an dieser Stätte, spricht der HERR Zebaoth. |

In the four and twentieth day of the ninth month, in the second year of Darius, came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet, saying,

Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Ask now the priests concerning the law, saying,
| 11 Así ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos: Pregunta ahora a los sacerdotes acerca de la ley, | 11 So spricht der HERR Zebaoth: Frage die Priester nach dem Gesetz und sprich: |

If one bear holy flesh in the skirt of his garment, and with his skirt do touch bread, or pottage, or wine, or oil, or any meat, shall it be holy? And the priests answered and said, No.
| 12 Si alguno llevare carne santificada en la falda de su ropa, y con el vuelo de ella tocare pan, o vianda, o vino, o aceite, o cualquier otra comida, ¿será santificada? Y respondieron los sacerdotes y dijeron: No. | 12 Wenn jemand heiliges Fleisch trüge im Zipfel seines Kleides und berührte danach mit seinem Zipfel Brot, Gekochtes, Wein, Öl oder was es für Speise wäre, würde es auch heilig? Und die Priester antworteten und sprachen: Nein. |

Then said Haggai, If one that is unclean by a dead body touch any of these, shall it be unclean? And the priests answered and said, It shall be unclean.
| 13 Y dijo Hageo: Si un inmundo a causa de cuerpo muerto tocare alguna cosa de estas, ¿será inmunda? Y respondieron los sacerdotes, y dijeron: Inmunda será. | 13 Haggai sprach: Wenn aber jemand durch Berührung eines Toten unrein wäre und eins davon anrührte, würde es auch unrein? Die Priester antworteten und sprachen: Es würde unrein. |

Then answered Haggai, and said, So is this people, and so is this nation before me, saith the LORD; and so is every work of their hands; and that which they offer there is unclean.
| 14 Y respondió Hageo y dijo: Así es este pueblo y esta gente delante de mí, dice Jehová; y asimismo toda obra de sus manos; y todo lo que aquí ofrecen es inmundo. | 14 Da antwortete Haggai und sprach: Ebenso ist es mit diesem Volk und mit diesen Leuten vor mir, spricht der HERR, und auch mit allem Werk ihrer Hände; und was sie dort opfern, ist unrein. |

And now, I pray you, consider from this day and upward, from before a stone was laid upon a stone in the temple of the LORD:
| 15 Ahora, pues, meditad en vuestro corazón desde este día en adelante, antes que pongan piedra sobre piedra en el templo de Jehová. | 15 Und jetzt achtet doch darauf, wie es euch gehen wird von diesem Tage an und fernerhin! Wie ging es euch denn, bevor ein Stein auf den andern gelegt war am Tempel des HERRN? |

Since those days were, when one came to an heap of twenty measures, there were but ten: when one came to the pressfat for to draw out fifty vessels out of the press, there were but twenty.
| 16 Antes que sucediesen estas cosas, venían al montón de veinte efas, y había diez; venían al lagar para sacar cincuenta cántaros, y había veinte. | 16 Wenn einer zum Kornhaufen kam, der zwanzig Maß haben sollte, so waren kaum zehn da; kam er zur Kelter und meinte, fünfzig Eimer zu schöpfen, so waren kaum zwanzig da. |

I smote you with blasting and with mildew and with hail in all the labours of your hands; yet ye turned not to me, saith the LORD.
| 17 Os herí con viento solano, con tizoncillo y con granizo en toda obra de vuestras manos; mas no os convertisteis a mí, dice Jehová. | 17 Ich plagte euch mit Dürre, Getreidebrand und Hagel in all eurer Arbeit; dennoch bekehrtet ihr euch nicht zu mir, spricht der HERR. |

Consider now from this day and upward, from the four and twentieth day of the ninth month, even from the day that the foundation of the LORD's temple was laid, consider it.
| 18 Meditad, pues, en vuestro corazón, desde este día en adelante, desde el día veinticuatro del noveno mes, desde el día que se echó el cimiento del templo de Jehová; meditad, pues, en vuestro corazón. | 18 Nun aber achtet doch darauf, wie es euch ergehen wird von diesem Tag an und fernerhin - vom vierundzwanzigsten Tage des neunten Monats an -, nämlich von dem Tag an, da der Tempel des HERRN gegründet ist! Is the seed yet in the barn? yea, as yet the vine, and the fig tree, and the pomegranate, and the olive tree, hath not brought forth: from this day will I bless you.
| 19 ¿No está aún la simiente en el granero? Ni la vid, ni la higuera, ni el granado, ni el árbol de olivo ha florecido todavía; mas desde este día os bendeciré. | 19 ob noch der Same in der Scheune dahinschwindet und ob Weinstock, Feigenbaum, Granatbaum und Ölbaum noch nicht tragen! Von diesem Tage an will ich Segen geben. |

And again the word of the LORD came unto Haggai in the four and twentieth day of the month, saying,

Speak to Zerubbabel, governor of Judah, saying, I will shake the heavens and the earth;

And I will overthrow the throne of kingdoms, and I will destroy the strength of the kingdoms of the heathen; and I will overthrow the chariots, and those that ride in them; and the horses and their riders shall come down, every one by the sword of his brother.
| 22 y trastornaré el trono de los reinos, y destruiré la fuerza de los reinos de las naciones; trastornaré los carros y los que en ellos suben, y vendrán abajo los caballos y sus jinetes, cada cual por la espada de su hermano. | 22 und will die Throne der Königreiche umstürzen und die mächtigen Königreiche der Heiden vertilgen und will umwerfen die Wagen und die darauf fahren; Roß und Reiter sollen fallen, ein jeder durch des andern Schwert. |

In that day, saith the LORD of hosts, will I take thee, O Zerubbabel, my servant, the son of Shealtiel, saith the LORD, and will make thee as a signet: for I have chosen thee, saith the LORD of hosts. | 23 En aquel día, dice Jehová de los ejércitos, te tomaré, oh Zorobabel hijo de Salatiel, siervo mío, dice Jehová, y te pondré como anillo de sellar; porque yo te escogí, dice Jehová de los ejércitos. | 23 Zur selben Zeit, spricht der HERR Zebaoth, will ich dich, Serubbabel, du Sohn Schealtïls, meinen Knecht, nehmen, spricht der HERR, und dich wie einen Siegelring halten; denn ich habe dich erwählt, spricht der HERR Zebaoth. |
