Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
| 1 Vino a mí palabra de Jehová, | 1 Und des HERRN Wort geschah zu mir: |

Son of man, speak to the children of thy people, and say unto them, When I bring the sword upon a land, if the people of the land take a man of their coasts, and set him for their watchman:
| 2 Hijo de hombre, habla a los hijos de tu pueblo, y diles: Cuando trajere yo espada sobre la tierra, y el pueblo de la tierra tomare un hombre de su territorio y lo pusiere por atalaya, | 2 Du Menschenkind, rede zu den Söhnen deines Volks und sprich zu ihnen: Wenn ich das Schwert über ein Land bringe und das Volk des Landes nimmt einen Mann aus seiner Mitte und macht ihn zu seinem Wächter |

If when he seeth the sword come upon the land, he blow the trumpet, and warn the people;
| 3 y él viere venir la espada sobre la tierra, y tocare trompeta y avisare al pueblo, | 3 und er sieht das Schwert kommen über das Land und bläst die Posaune und warnt das Volk - |

Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head.
| 4 cualquiera que oyere el sonido de la trompeta y no se apercibiere, y viniendo la espada lo hiriere, su sangre será sobre su cabeza. | 4 wer nun den Hall der Posaune hört und will sich nicht warnen lassen, und das Schwert kommt und nimmt ihn weg, dessen Blut wird auf seinen Kopf kommen. |

He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall be upon him. But he that taketh warning shall deliver his soul.
| 5 El sonido de la trompeta oyó, y no se apercibió; su sangre será sobre él; mas el que se apercibiere librará su vida. | 5 Denn er hat den Hall der Posaune gehört und sich dennoch nicht warnen lassen; darum wird sein Blut auf ihn kommen. Wer sich aber warnen läßt, der wird sein Leben davonbringen. |

But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman's hand.
| 6 Pero si el atalaya viere venir la espada y no tocare la trompeta, y el pueblo no se apercibiere, y viniendo la espada, hiriere de él a alguno, éste fue tomado por causa de su pecado, pero demandaré su sangre de mano del atalaya. | 6 Wenn aber der Wächter das Schwert kommen sieht und nicht die Posaune bläst und sein Volk nicht warnt und das Schwert kommt und nimmt einen von ihnen weg, so wird der wohl um seiner Sünde willen weggenommen; aber sein Blut will ich von der Hand des Wächters fordern. |

So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me.
| 7 A ti, pues, hijo de hombre, te he puesto por atalaya a la casa de Israel, y oirás la palabra de mi boca, y los amonestarás de mi parte. | 7 Und nun, du Menschenkind, ich habe dich zum Wächter gesetzt über das Haus Israel. Wenn du etwas aus meinem Munde hörst, sollst du sie in meinem Namen warnen. |

When I say unto the wicked, O wicked man, thou shalt surely die; if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.
| 8 Cuando yo dijere al impío: Impío, de cierto morirás; si tú no hablares para que se guarde el impío de su camino, el impío morirá por su pecado, pero su sangre yo la demandaré de tu mano. | 8 Wenn ich nun zu dem Gottlosen sage: Du Gottloser mußt des Todes sterben! und du sagst ihm das nicht, um den Gottlosen vor seinem Wege zu warnen, so wird er, der Gottlose, um seiner Sünde willen sterben, aber sein Blut will ich von deiner Hand fordern. |

Nevertheless, if thou warn the wicked of his way to turn from it; if he do not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.
| 9 Y si tú avisares al impío de su camino para que se aparte de él, y él no se apartare de su camino, él morirá por su pecado, pero tú libraste tu vida. | 9 Warnst du aber den Gottlosen vor seinem Wege, daß er von ihm umkehre, und er will von seinem Wege nicht umkehren, so wird er um seiner Sünde willen sterben, aber du hast dein Leben errettet. |

Therefore, O thou son of man, speak unto the house of Israel; Thus ye speak, saying, If our transgressions and our sins be upon us, and we pine away in them, how should we then live?
| 10 Tú, pues, hijo de hombre, di a la casa de Israel: Vosotros habéis hablado así, diciendo: Nuestras rebeliones y nuestros pecados están sobre nosotros, y a causa de ellos somos consumidos; ¿cómo, pues, viviremos? | 10 Und nun, du Menschenkind, sage dem Hause Israel: Ihr sprecht: Unsere Sünden und Missetaten liegen auf uns, daß wir darunter vergehen; wie können wir denn leben? |

Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?
| 11 Diles: Vivo yo, dice Jehová el Señor, que no quiero la muerte del impío, sino que se vuelva el impío de su camino, y que viva. Volveos, volveos de vuestros malos caminos; ¿por qué moriréis, oh casa de Israel? | 11 So sprich zu ihnen: So wahr ich lebe, spricht Gott der HERR: ich habe kein Gefallen am Tode des Gottlosen, sondern daß der Gottlose umkehre von seinem Wege und lebe. So kehrt nun um von euren bösen Wegen. Warum wollt ihr sterben, ihr vom Hause Israel? |

Therefore, thou son of man, say unto the children of thy people, The righteousness of the righteous shall not deliver him in the day of his transgression: as for the wickedness of the wicked, he shall not fall thereby in the day that he turneth from his wickedness; neither shall the righteous be able to live for his righteousness in the day that he sinneth.
| 12 Y tú, hijo de hombre, di a los hijos de tu pueblo: La justicia del justo no lo librará el día que se rebelare; y la impiedad del impío no le será estorbo el día que se volviere de su impiedad; y el justo no podrá vivir por su justicia el día que pecare. | 12 Und du, Menschenkind, sprich zu deinem Volk: Wenn ein Gerechter Böses tut, so wird's ihm nicht helfen, daß er gerecht gewesen ist; und wenn ein Gottloser von seiner Gottlosigkeit umkehrt, so soll's ihm nicht schaden, daß er gottlos gewesen ist. Auch der Gerechte kann nicht am Leben bleiben, wenn er sündigt. |

When I shall say to the righteous, that he shall surely live; if he trust to his own righteousness, and commit iniquity, all his righteousnesses shall not be remembered; but for his iniquity that he hath committed, he shall die for it.
| 13 Cuando yo dijere al justo: De cierto vivirás, y él confiado en su justicia hiciere iniquidad, todas sus justicias no serán recordadas, sino que morirá por su iniquidad que hizo. | 13 Denn wenn ich zu dem Gerechten spreche: Du sollst leben! und er verläßt sich auf seine Gerechtigkeit und tut Böses, so soll aller seiner Gerechtigkeit nicht mehr gedacht werden, sondern er soll sterben um des Bösen willen, das er getan hat. |

Again, when I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; if he turn from his sin, and do that which is lawful and right;
| 14 Y cuando yo dijere al impío: De cierto morirás; si él se convirtiere de su pecado, e hiciere según el derecho y la justicia, | 14 Und wenn ich zum Gottlosen spreche: Du sollst sterben! und er bekehrt sich von seiner Sünde und tut, was recht und gut ist, |

If the wicked restore the pledge, give again that he had robbed, walk in the statutes of life, without committing iniquity; he shall surely live, he shall not die.
| 15 si el impío restituyere la prenda, devolviere lo que hubiere robado, y caminare en los estatutos de la vida, no haciendo iniquidad, vivirá ciertamente y no morirá. | 15 - so daß der Gottlose das Pfand zurückgibt und erstattet, was er geraubt hat, und nach den Satzungen des Lebens wandelt und nichts Böses tut -, so soll er am Leben bleiben und nicht sterben, |

None of his sins that he hath committed shall be mentioned unto him: he hath done that which is lawful and right; he shall surely live.
| 16 No se le recordará ninguno de sus pecados que había cometido; hizo según el derecho y la justicia; vivirá ciertamente. | 16 und all seiner Sünden, die er getan hat, soll nicht mehr gedacht werden, denn er hat nun getan, was recht und gut ist; darum soll er am Leben bleiben. |

Yet the children of thy people say, The way of the Lord is not equal: but as for them, their way is not equal.
| 17 Luego dirán los hijos de tu pueblo: No es recto el camino del Señor; el camino de ellos es el que no es recto. | 17 Aber dein Volk spricht: "Der Herr handelt nicht recht", während doch sie nicht recht handeln. |

When the righteous turneth from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, he shall even die thereby.
| 18 Cuando el justo se apartare de su justicia, e hiciere iniquidad, morirá por ello. | 18 Wenn der Gerechte sich abkehrt von seiner Gerechtigkeit und Unrecht tut, so muß er deshalb sterben. |

But if the wicked turn from his wickedness, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall live thereby.
| 19 Y cuando el impío se apartare de su impiedad, e hiciere según el derecho y la justicia, vivirá por ello. | 19 Und wenn sich der Gottlose von seiner Gottlosigkeit bekehrt und tut, was recht und gut ist, so soll er deshalb am Leben bleiben. |

Yet ye say, The way of the Lord is not equal. O ye house of Israel, I will judge you every one after his ways.
| 20 Y dijisteis: No es recto el camino del Señor. Yo os juzgaré, oh casa de Israel, a cada uno conforme a sus caminos. | 20 Und doch sprecht ihr: "Der Herr handelt nicht recht", während ich doch einen jeden von euch, ihr vom Hause Israel, nach seinem Handeln richte. |

And it came to pass in the twelfth year of our captivity, in the tenth month, in the fifth day of the month, that one that had escaped out of Jerusalem came unto me, saying, The city is smitten.
| 21 Aconteció en el año duodécimo de nuestro cautiverio, en el mes décimo, a los cinco días del mes, que vino a mí un fugitivo de Jerusalén, diciendo: La ciudad ha sido conquistada. | 21 Und es begab sich im elften Jahr unserer Gefangenschaft am fünften Tag des zehnten Monats, da kam zu mir ein Entronnener von Jerusalem und sprach: Die Stadt ist genommen. |

Now the hand of the LORD was upon me in the evening, afore he that was escaped came; and had opened my mouth, until he came to me in the morning; and my mouth was opened, and I was no more dumb.
| 22 Y la mano de Jehová había sido sobre mí la tarde antes de llegar el fugitivo, y había abierto mi boca, hasta que vino a mí por la mañana; y abrió mi boca, y ya no más estuve callado. | 22 Und die Hand des HERRN war über mich gekommen am Abend, bevor der Entronnene kam, und er tat mir meinen Mund auf, als jener am Morgen zu mir kam. Und mein Mund wurde aufgetan, so daß ich nicht mehr stumm sein mußte. |

Then the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
| 23 Y vino a mí palabra de Jehová, | 23 Und des HERRN Wort geschah zu mir: |

Son of man, they that inhabit those wastes of the land of Israel speak, saying, Abraham was one, and he inherited the land: but we are many; the land is given us for inheritance.
| 24 Hijo de hombre, los que habitan aquellos lugares asolados en la tierra de Israel hablan diciendo: Abraham era uno, y poseyó la tierra; pues nosotros somos muchos; a nosotros nos es dada la tierra en posesión. | 24 Du Menschenkind, die Bewohner jener Trümmer im Lande Israels sprechen: Abraham war ein einzelner Mann und nahm dies Land in Besitz; wir aber sind viele, so gehört uns das Land erst recht. |

Wherefore say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Ye eat with the blood, and lift up your eyes toward your idols, and shed blood: and shall ye possess the land?
| 25 Por tanto, diles: Así ha dicho Jehová el Señor: ¿Comeréis con sangre, y a vuestros ídolos alzaréis vuestros ojos, y derramaréis sangre, y poseeréis vosotros la tierra? | 25 Darum sprich zu ihnen: So spricht Gott der HERR: Ihr habt das Fleisch über dem Blut gegessen und eure Augen zu den Götzen aufgehoben und Blut vergossen - und dann wollt ihr das Land besitzen? |

Ye stand upon your sword, ye work abomination, and ye defile every one his neighbour's wife: and shall ye possess the land?
| 26 Estuvisteis sobre vuestras espadas, hicisteis abominación, y contaminasteis cada cual a la mujer de su prójimo; ¿y habréis de poseer la tierra? | 26 Ihr verlaßt euch auf euer Schwert und übt Greuel, und einer schändet die Frau des andern - und dann wollt ihr das Land besitzen? |

Say thou thus unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; As I live, surely they that are in the wastes shall fall by the sword, and him that is in the open field will I give to the beasts to be devoured, and they that be in the forts and in the caves shall die of the pestilence.
| 27 Les dirás así: Así ha dicho Jehová el Señor: Vivo yo, que los que están en aquellos lugares asolados caerán a espada, y al que está sobre la faz del campo entregaré a las fieras para que lo devoren; y los que están en las fortalezas y en las cuevas, de pestilencia morirán. | 27 So sprich zu ihnen: So spricht Gott der HERR: So wahr ich lebe sollen alle, die in den Trümmern wohnen, durchs Schwert fallen, und die auf freiem Felde sind, will ich den Tieren zum Fraß geben, und die in den Festungen und Höhlen sind, sollen an der Pest sterben. |

For I will lay the land most desolate, and the pomp of her strength shall cease; and the mountains of Israel shall be desolate, that none shall pass through.
| 28 Y convertiré la tierra en desierto y en soledad, y cesará la soberbia de su poderío; y los montes de Israel serán asolados hasta que no haya quien pase. | 28 Denn ich will das Land ganz verwüsten und seiner Hoffart und Macht ein Ende machen, daß das Gebirge Israel so zur Wüste wird, daß niemand mehr hindurchzieht. |

Then shall they know that I am the LORD, when I have laid the land most desolate because of all their abominations which they have committed.
| 29 Y sabrán que yo soy Jehová, cuando convierta la tierra en soledad y desierto, por todas las abominaciones que han hecho. | 29 Und sie sollen erfahren, daß ich der HERR bin, wenn ich das Land ganz verwüste um aller ihrer Greuel willen, die sie verübt haben. |

Also, thou son of man, the children of thy people still are talking against thee by the walls and in the doors of the houses, and speak one to another, every one to his brother, saying, Come, I pray you, and hear what is the word that cometh forth from the LORD.
| 30 Y tú, hijo de hombre, los hijos de tu pueblo se mofan de ti junto a las paredes y a las puertas de las casas, y habla el uno con el otro, cada uno con su hermano, diciendo: Venid ahora, y oíd qué palabra viene de Jehová. | 30 Und du, Menschenkind, dein Volk redet über dich an den Mauern und in den Haustüren, und einer spricht zum andern: Kommt doch und laßt uns hören, was das für ein Wort ist, das vom HERRN ausgeht. |

And they come unto thee as the people cometh, and they sit before thee as my people, and they hear thy words, but they will not do them: for with their mouth they shew much love, but their heart goeth after their covetousness.
| 31 Y vendrán a ti como viene el pueblo, y estarán delante de ti como pueblo mío, y oirán tus palabras, y no las pondrán por obra; antes hacen halagos con sus bocas, y el corazón de ellos anda en pos de su avaricia. | 31 Und sie werden zu dir kommen, wie das Volk so zusammenkommt, und vor dir sitzen als mein Volk und werden deine Worte hören, aber nicht danach tun, sondern ihr Mund ist voll von Liebesweisen, und danach tun sie, und hinter ihrem Gewinn läuft ihr Herz her. |

And, lo, thou art unto them as a very lovely song of one that hath a pleasant voice, and can play well on an instrument: for they hear thy words, but they do them not.
| 32 Y he aquí que tú eres a ellos como cantor de amores, hermoso de voz y que canta bien; y oirán tus palabras, pero no las pondrán por obra. | 32 Und siehe, du bist für sie wie einer, der Liebeslieder singt, der eine schöne Stimme hat und gut spielen kann. Sie hören wohl deine Worte, aber sie tun nicht danach. |

And when this cometh to pass, (lo, it will come,) then shall they know that a prophet hath been among them. | 33 Pero cuando ello viniere (y viene ya), sabrán que hubo profeta entre ellos. | 33 Wenn es aber kommt - und siehe, es kommt! -, so werden sie erfahren, daß ein Prophet unter ihnen gewesen ist. |
