And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

Son of man, What is the vine tree more than any tree, or than a branch which is among the trees of the forest?
| 2 Hijo de hombre, ¿qué es la madera de la vid más que cualquier otra madera? ¿Qué es el sarmiento entre los árboles del bosque? | 2 Du Menschenkind, was hat das Holz des Weinstocks voraus vor anderm Holz, das Rebholz, das im Gehölz wächst? |

Shall wood be taken thereof to do any work? or will men take a pin of it to hang any vessel thereon?

Behold, it is cast into the fire for fuel; the fire devoureth both the ends of it, and the midst of it is burned. Is it meet for any work?
| 4 He aquí, es puesta en el fuego para ser consumida; sus dos extremos consumió el fuego, y la parte de en medio se quemó; ¿servirá para obra alguna? | 4 Siehe, man wirft's ins Feuer, daß es verzehrt wird. Wenn das Feuer seine beiden Enden verzehrt hat und die Mitte versengt ist, wozu sollte es dann noch taugen? |

Behold, when it was whole, it was meet for no work: how much less shall it be meet yet for any work, when the fire hath devoured it, and it is burned?
| 5 He aquí que cuando estaba entera no servía para obra alguna; ¿cuánto menos después que el fuego la hubiere consumido, y fuere quemada? ¿Servirá más para obra alguna? | 5 Siehe, als es noch unversehrt war, konnte man nichts daraus machen; wieviel weniger kann dann noch daraus gemacht werden, wenn es das Feuer verzehrt und versengt hat! |

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; As the vine tree among the trees of the forest, which I have given to the fire for fuel, so will I give the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
| 6 Por tanto, así ha dicho Jehová el Señor: Como la madera de la vid entre los árboles del bosque, la cual di al fuego para que la consumiese, así haré a los moradores de Jerusalén. | 6 Darum spricht Gott der HERR: Wie ich das Holz des Weinstocks, das im Gehölz wächst, dem Feuer zu verzehren gebe, so will ich auch die Einwohner Jerusalems dahingeben |

And I will set my face against them; they shall go out from one fire, and another fire shall devour them; and ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I set my face against them.
| 7 Y pondré mi rostro contra ellos; aunque del fuego se escaparon, fuego los consumirá; y sabréis que yo soy Jehová, cuando pusiere mi rostro contra ellos. | 7 und will mein Angesicht gegen sie richten: Sie sind dem Feuer entgangen, aber das Feuer soll sie doch fressen! Und ihr sollt erfahren, daß ich der HERR bin, wenn ich mein Angesicht gegen sie richte |

And I will make the land desolate, because they have committed a trespass, saith the Lord GOD. | 8 Y convertiré la tierra en asolamiento, por cuanto cometieron prevaricación, dice Jehová el Señor. | 8 und das Land zur Wüstenei mache, weil sie die Treue gebrochen haben, spricht Gott der HERR. |
