On that night could not the king sleep, and he commanded to bring the book of records of the chronicles; and they were read before the king.

And it was found written, that Mordecai had told of Bigthana and Teresh, two of the king's chamberlains, the keepers of the door, who sought to lay hand on the king Ahasuerus.
| 2 Entonces hallaron escrito que Mardoqueo había denunciado el complot de Bigtán y de Teres, dos eunucos del rey, de la guardia de la puerta, que habían procurado poner mano en el rey Asuero. | 2 fand sich's geschrieben, daß Mordechai angezeigt hatte, wie die zwei Kämmerer des Königs, Bigtan und Teresch, die an der Schwelle die Wache hielten, danach getrachtet hatten, Hand an den König Ahasveros zu legen. |

And the king said, What honour and dignity hath been done to Mordecai for this? Then said the king's servants that ministered unto him, There is nothing done for him.
| 3 Y dijo el rey: żQué honra o qué distinción se hizo a Mardoqueo por esto? Y respondieron los servidores del rey, sus oficiales: Nada se ha hecho con él. | 3 Und der König sprach: Welche Ehre und Würde hat Mordechai dafür bekommen? Da sprachen die Diener des Königs, die um ihn waren: Er hat nichts bekommen. |

And the king said, Who is in the court? Now Haman was come into the outward court of the king's house, to speak unto the king to hang Mordecai on the gallows that he had prepared for him.
| 4 Entonces dijo el rey: żQuién está en el patio? Y Amán había venido al patio exterior de la casa real, para hablarle al rey para que hiciese colgar a Mardoqueo en la horca que él le tenía preparada. | 4 Und der König sprach: Wer ist im Vorhof? Haman aber war in den Vorhof gekommen draußen vor des Königs Palast, um dem König zu sagen, daß man Mordechai an den Galgen hängen sollte, den er für ihn aufgerichtet hatte. |

And the king's servants said unto him, Behold, Haman standeth in the court. And the king said, Let him come in.
| 5 Y los servidores del rey le respondieron: He aquí Amán está en el patio. Y el rey dijo: Que entre. | 5 Und des Königs Diener sprachen zu ihm: Siehe, Haman steht im Vorhof. Der König sprach: Laßt ihn hereintreten. |

So Haman came in. And the king said unto him, What shall be done unto the man whom the king delighteth to honour? Now Haman thought in his heart, To whom would the king delight to do honour more than to myself?
| 6 Entró, pues, Amán, y el rey le dijo: żQué se hará al hombre cuya honra desea el rey? Y dijo Amán en su corazón: żA quién deseará el rey honrar más que a mí? | 6 Und als Haman hereinkam, sprach der König zu ihm: Was soll man dem Mann tun, den der König gern ehren will? Haman aber dachte in seinem Herzen: Wen anders sollte der König gern ehren wollen als mich? |

And Haman answered the king, For the man whom the king delighteth to honour,
| 7 Y respondió Amán al rey: Para el varón cuya honra desea el rey, | 7 Und Haman sprach zum König: Dem Mann, den der König gern ehren will, |

Let the royal apparel be brought which the king useth to wear, and the horse that the king rideth upon, and the crown royal which is set upon his head:
| 8 traigan el vestido real de que el rey se viste, y el caballo en que el rey cabalga, y la corona real que está puesta en su cabeza; | 8 soll man königliche Kleider bringen, die der König zu tragen pflegt, und ein Roß, darauf der König reitet und dessen Kopf königlichen Schmuck trägt, |

And let this apparel and horse be delivered to the hand of one of the king's most noble princes, that they may array the man withal whom the king delighteth to honour, and bring him on horseback through the street of the city, and proclaim before him, Thus shall it be done to the man whom the king delighteth to honour.
| 9 y den el vestido y el caballo en mano de alguno de los príncipes más nobles del rey, y vistan a aquel varón cuya honra desea el rey, y llévenlo en el caballo por la plaza de la ciudad, y pregonen delante de él: Así se hará al varón cuya honra desea el rey. | 9 und man soll Kleid und Roß einem Fürsten des Königs geben, daß er den Mann bekleide, den der König gern ehren will, und ihn auf dem Roß über den Platz der Stadt führen und vor ihm her ausrufen lassen: So tut man dem Mann, den der König gern ehren will. |

Then the king said to Haman, Make haste, and take the apparel and the horse, as thou hast said, and do even so to Mordecai the Jew, that sitteth at the king's gate: let nothing fail of all that thou hast spoken.
| 10 Entonces el rey dijo a Amán: Date prisa, toma el vestido y el caballo, como tú has dicho, y hazlo así con el judío Mardoqueo, que se sienta a la puerta real; no omitas nada de todo lo que has dicho. | 10 Der König sprach zu Haman: Eile und nimm Kleid und Roß, wie du gesagt hast, und tu so mit Mordechai, dem Juden, der im Tor des Königs sitzt, und laß nichts fehlen an allem, was du gesagt hast. |

Then took Haman the apparel and the horse, and arrayed Mordecai, and brought him on horseback through the street of the city, and proclaimed before him, Thus shall it be done unto the man whom the king delighteth to honour.
| 11 Y Amán tomó el vestido y el caballo, y vistió a Mardoqueo, y lo condujo a caballo por la plaza de la ciudad, e hizo pregonar delante de él: Así se hará al varón cuya honra desea el rey. | 11 Da nahm Haman Kleid und Roß und zog Mordechai an und führte ihn über den Platz der Stadt und rief aus vor ihm her: So geschieht dem Mann, den der König gern ehren will. |

And Mordecai came again to the king's gate. But Haman hasted to his house mourning, and having his head covered.
| 12 Después de esto Mardoqueo volvió a la puerta real, y Amán se dio prisa para irse a su casa, apesadumbrado y cubierta su cabeza. | 12 Und Mordechai kam wieder zum Tor des Königs. Haman aber eilte nach Hause, traurig und mit verhülltem Haupt, |

And Haman told Zeresh his wife and all his friends every thing that had befallen him. Then said his wise men and Zeresh his wife unto him, If Mordecai be of the seed of the Jews, before whom thou hast begun to fall, thou shalt not prevail against him, but shalt surely fall before him.

Entonces le dijeron sus sabios, y Zeres su mujer: Si de la descendencia de los judíos es ese Mardoqueo delante de quien has comenzado a caer, no lo vencerás, sino que caerás por cierto delante de él. | 13 und erzählte seiner Frau Seresch und allen seinen Freunden alles, was ihm begegnet war. Da sprachen zu ihm seine Freunde und seine Frau Seresch: Ist Mordechai, vor dem du zu fallen angefangen hast, vom Geschlecht der Juden, so vermagst du nichts gegen ihn, sondern du wirst vor ihm vollends zu Fall kommen. |

And while they were yet talking with him, came the king's chamberlains, and hasted to bring Haman unto the banquet that Esther had prepared. | 14 Aún estaban ellos hablando con él, cuando los eunucos del rey llegaron apresurados, para llevar a Amán al banquete que Ester había dispuesto. | 14 Als sie aber noch mit ihm redeten, kamen des Königs Kämmerer und geleiteten Haman eilends zu dem Mahl, das Ester bereitet hatte. |
