Hear, O Israel: Thou art to pass over Jordan this day, to go in to possess nations greater and mightier than thyself, cities great and fenced up to heaven,
| 1 Oye, Israel: tú vas hoy a pasar el Jordán, para entrar a desposeer a naciones más numerosas y más poderosas que tú, ciudades grandes y amuralladas hasta el cielo; | 1 Höre, Israel, du wirst heute über den Jordan gehen, damit du hineinkommst, das Land der Völker einzunehmen, die größer und stärker sind als du, große Städte, ummauert bis an den Himmel, |

A people great and tall, the children of the Anakims, whom thou knowest, and of whom thou hast heard say, Who can stand before the children of Anak!
| 2 un pueblo grande y alto, hijos de los anaceos, de los cuales tienes tú conocimiento, y has oído decir: ¿Quién se sostendrá delante de los hijos de Anac? | 2 ein großes, hochgewachsenes Volk, die Anakiter, die du kennst, von denen du auch hast sagen hören: Wer kann wider die Anakiter bestehen? |

Understand therefore this day, that the LORD thy God is he which goeth over before thee; as a consuming fire he shall destroy them, and he shall bring them down before thy face: so shalt thou drive them out, and destroy them quickly, as the LORD hath said unto thee.
| 3 Entiende, pues, hoy, que es Jehová tu Dios el que pasa delante de ti como fuego consumidor, que los destruirá y humillará delante de ti; y tú los echarás, y los destruirás en seguida, como Jehová te ha dicho. | 3 So sollst du nun heute wissen, daß der HERR, dein Gott, vor dir hergeht, ein verzehrendes Feuer. Er wird sie vertilgen und wird sie demütigen vor dir, und du wirst sie vertreiben und bald vernichten, wie dir der HERR zugesagt hat. |

Speak not thou in thine heart, after that the LORD thy God hath cast them out from before thee, saying, For my righteousness the LORD hath brought me in to possess this land: but for the wickedness of these nations the LORD doth drive them out from before thee.
| 4 No pienses en tu corazón cuando Jehová tu Dios los haya echado de delante de ti, diciendo: Por mi justicia me ha traído Jehová a poseer esta tierra; pues por la impiedad de estas naciones Jehová las arroja de delante de ti. | 4 Wenn nun der HERR, dein Gott, sie ausgestoßen hat vor dir her, so sprich nicht in deinem Herzen: Der HERR hat mich hereingeführt, dies Land einzunehmen, um meiner Gerechtigkeit willen -, da doch der HERR diese Völker vertreibt vor dir her um ihres gottlosen Treibens willen. |

Not for thy righteousness, or for the uprightness of thine heart, dost thou go to possess their land: but for the wickedness of these nations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee, and that he may perform the word which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
| 5 No por tu justicia, ni por la rectitud de tu corazón entras a poseer la tierra de ellos, sino por la impiedad de estas naciones Jehová tu Dios las arroja de delante de ti, y para confirmar la palabra que Jehová juró a tus padres Abraham, Isaac y Jacob. | 5 Denn du kommst nicht herein, ihr Land einzunehmen, um deiner Gerechtigkeit und deines aufrichtigen Herzens willen, sondern der HERR, dein Gott, vertreibt diese Völker um ihres gottlosen Treibens willen, damit er das Wort halte, das er geschworen hat deinen Vätern Abraham, Isaak und Jakob. |

Understand therefore, that the LORD thy God giveth thee not this good land to possess it for thy righteousness; for thou art a stiffnecked people.
| 6 Por tanto, sabe que no es por tu justicia que Jehová tu Dios te da esta buena tierra para tomarla; porque pueblo duro de cerviz eres tú. | 6 So wisse nun, daß der HERR, dein Gott, dir nicht um deiner Gerechtigkeit willen dies gute Land zum Besitz gibt, da du doch ein halsstarriges Volk bist. |

Remember, and forget not, how thou provokedst the LORD thy God to wrath in the wilderness: from the day that thou didst depart out of the land of Egypt, until ye came unto this place, ye have been rebellious against the LORD.
| 7 Acuérdate, no olvides que has provocado la ira de Jehová tu Dios en el desierto; desde el día que saliste de la tierra de Egipto, hasta que entrasteis en este lugar, habéis sido rebeldes a Jehová. | 7 Denke daran und vergiß nicht, wie du den HERRN, deinen Gott, erzürntest in der Wüste. Von dem Tage an, als du aus Ägyptenland zogst, bis ihr gekommen seid an diesen Ort, seid ihr ungehorsam gewesen dem HERRN. |

Also in Horeb ye provoked the LORD to wrath, so that the LORD was angry with you to have destroyed you.
| 8 En Horeb provocasteis a ira a Jehová, y se enojó Jehová contra vosotros para destruiros. | 8 Denn am Horeb erzürntet ihr den HERRN so, daß er vor Zorn euch vertilgen wollte, |

When I was gone up into the mount to receive the tables of stone, even the tables of the covenant which the LORD made with you, then I abode in the mount forty days and forty nights, I neither did eat bread nor drink water:
| 9 Cuando yo subí al monte para recibir las tablas de piedra, las tablas del pacto que Jehová hizo con vosotros, estuve entonces en el monte cuarenta días y cuarenta noches, sin comer pan ni beber agua; | 9 als ich auf den Berg gegangen war, die steinernen Tafeln zu empfangen, die Tafeln des Bundes, den der HERR mit euch schloß, und ich vierzig Tage und vierzig Nächte auf dem Berge blieb und kein Brot aß und kein Wasser tranka |

And the LORD delivered unto me two tables of stone written with the finger of God; and on them was written according to all the words, which the LORD spake with you in the mount out of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly.
| 10 y me dio Jehová las dos tablas de piedra escritas con el dedo de Dios; y en ellas estaba escrito según todas las palabras que os habló Jehová en el monte, de en medio del fuego, el día de la asamblea. | 10 und mir der HERR die zwei steinernen Tafeln gab, mit dem Finger Gottes beschrieben, und darauf alle Worte, die der HERR mit euch aus dem Feuer auf dem Berge geredet hatte am Tage der Versammlung. |

And it came to pass at the end of forty days and forty nights, that the LORD gave me the two tables of stone, even the tables of the covenant.
| 11 Sucedió al fin de los cuarenta días y cuarenta noches, que Jehová me dio las dos tablas de piedra, las tablas del pacto. | 11 Und nach den vierzig Tagen und vierzig Nächten gab mir der HERR die zwei steinernen Tafeln des Bundes |

And the LORD said unto me, Arise, get thee down quickly from hence; for thy people which thou hast brought forth out of Egypt have corrupted themselves; they are quickly turned aside out of the way which I commanded them; they have made them a molten image.
| 12 Y me dijo Jehová: Levántate, desciende pronto de aquí, porque tu pueblo que sacaste de Egipto se ha corrompido; pronto se han apartado del camino que yo les mandé; se han hecho una imagen de fundición. | 12 und sprach zu mir: Mach dich auf, geh eilends hinab von hier; denn dein Volk, das du aus Ägypten geführt hast, hat sich versündigt. Sie sind schnell abgewichen von dem Wege, den ich ihnen geboten habe; sie haben sich ein gegossenes Bild gemacht. |

Furthermore the LORD spake unto me, saying, I have seen this people, and, behold, it is a stiffnecked people:
| 13 Y me habló Jehová, diciendo: He observado a ese pueblo, y he aquí que es pueblo duro de cerviz. | 13 Und der HERR sprach zu mir: Ich sehe, daß dies Volk ein halsstarriges Volk ist. |

Let me alone, that I may destroy them, and blot out their name from under heaven: and I will make of thee a nation mightier and greater than they.
| 14 Déjame que los destruya, y borre su nombre de debajo del cielo, y yo te pondré sobre una nación fuerte y mucho más numerosa que ellos. | 14 Laß ab von mir, damit ich sie vertilge und ihren Namen austilge unter dem Himmel; aber aus dir will ich ein stärkeres und größeres Volk machen als dieses. |

So I turned and came down from the mount, and the mount burned with fire: and the two tables of the covenant were in my two hands.
| 15 Y volví y descendí del monte, el cual ardía en fuego, con las tablas del pacto en mis dos manos. | 15 Und als ich mich wandte und von dem Berge herabging, der im Feuer brannte, und die zwei Tafeln des Bundes in meinen beiden Händen hatte, |

And I looked, and, behold, ye had sinned against the LORD your God, and had made you a molten calf: ye had turned aside quickly out of the way which the LORD had commanded you.
| 16 Y miré, y he aquí habíais pecado contra Jehová vuestro Dios; os habíais hecho un becerro de fundición, apartándoos pronto del camino que Jehová os había mandado. | 16 da sah ich, und siehe, da hattet ihr euch an dem HERRN, eurem Gott, versündigt und euch ein gegossenes Kalb gemacht und wart schnell von dem Wege abgewichen, den euch der HERR geboten hatte. |

And I took the two tables, and cast them out of my two hands, and brake them before your eyes.
| 17 Entonces tomé las dos tablas y las arrojé de mis dos manos, y las quebré delante de vuestros ojos. | 17 Da faßte ich beide Tafeln und warf sie aus meinen Händen und zerbrach sie vor euren Augen |

And I fell down before the LORD, as at the first, forty days and forty nights: I did neither eat bread, nor drink water, because of all your sins which ye sinned, in doing wickedly in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.
| 18 Y me postré delante de Jehová como antes, cuarenta días y cuarenta noches; no comí pan ni bebí agua, a causa de todo vuestro pecado que habíais cometido haciendo el mal ante los ojos de Jehová para enojarlo. | 18 und fiel nieder vor dem HERRN wie das erstemal, vierzig Tage und vierzig Nächte, und aß kein Brot und trank kein Wasser um all eurer Sünde willen, die ihr getan hattet, als ihr solches Unrecht tatet vor dem HERRN, um ihn zu erzürnen. |

For I was afraid of the anger and hot displeasure, wherewith the LORD was wroth against you to destroy you. But the LORD hearkened unto me at that time also.
| 19 Porque temí a causa del furor y de la ira con que Jehová estaba enojado contra vosotros para destruiros. Pero Jehová me escuchó aun esta vez. | 19 Denn ich fürchtete mich vor dem Zorn und Grimm, mit dem der HERR über euch erzürnt war, so daß er euch vertilgen wollte. Aber der HERR erhörte mich auch diesmal. |

And the LORD was very angry with Aaron to have destroyed him: and I prayed for Aaron also the same time.
| 20 Contra Aarón también se enojó Jehová en gran manera para destruirlo; y también oré por Aarón en aquel entonces. | 20 Auch war der HERR sehr zornig über Aaron, so daß er ihn vertilgen wollte; aber ich bat auch für Aaron zur selben Zeit. |

And I took your sin, the calf which ye had made, and burnt it with fire, and stamped it, and ground it very small, even until it was as small as dust: and I cast the dust thereof into the brook that descended out of the mount.
| 21 Y tomé el objeto de vuestro pecado, el becerro que habíais hecho, y lo quemé en el fuego, y lo desmenucé moliéndolo muy bien, hasta que fue reducido a polvo; y eché el polvo de él en el arroyo que descendía del monte. | 21 Aber eure Sünde, das Kalb, das ihr gemacht hattet, nahm ich und verbrannte es mit Feuer und zerschlug es und zermalmte es, bis es Staub ward, und warf den Staub in den Bach, der vom Berge fließt. |

And at Taberah, and at Massah, and at Kibroth-hattaavah, ye provoked the LORD to wrath.
| 22 También en Tabera, en Masah y en Kibrot-hataava provocasteis a ira a Jehová. | 22 So erzürntet ihr den HERRN auch in Tabera und in Massa und bei den Lustgräbern. |

Likewise when the LORD sent you from Kadesh-barnea, saying, Go up and possess the land which I have given you; then ye rebelled against the commandment of the LORD your God, and ye believed him not, nor hearkened to his voice.
| 23 Y cuando Jehová os envió desde Cades-barnea, diciendo: Subid y poseed la tierra que yo os he dado, también fuisteis rebeldes al mandato de Jehová vuestro Dios, y no le creísteis, ni obedecisteis a su voz. | 23 Und als er euch aus Kadesch-Barnea sandte und sprach: Geht hinauf und nehmt das Land ein, das ich euch gegeben habe!, da wart ihr ungehorsam dem Mund des HERRN, eures Gottes, und glaubtet nicht an ihn und gehorchtet seiner Stimme nicht. |

Ye have been rebellious against the LORD from the day that I knew you.
| 24 Rebeldes habéis sido a Jehová desde el día que yo os conozco. | 24 So seid ihr dem HERRN ungehorsam gewesen, solange ich euch gekannt habe. |

Thus I fell down before the LORD forty days and forty nights, as I fell down at the first; because the LORD had said he would destroy you.
| 25 Me postré, pues, delante de Jehová; cuarenta días y cuarenta noches estuve postrado, porque Jehová dijo que os había de destruir. | 25 Ich aber fiel nieder und lag vor dem HERRN vierzig Tage und vierzig Nächte; denn der HERR sprach, er wolle euch vertilgen. |

I prayed therefore unto the LORD, and said, O Lord GOD, destroy not thy people and thine inheritance, which thou hast redeemed through thy greatness, which thou hast brought forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand.
| 26 Y oré a Jehová, diciendo: Oh Señor Jehová, no destruyas a tu pueblo y a tu heredad que has redimido con tu grandeza, que sacaste de Egipto con mano poderosa. | 26 Und ich bat den HERRN und sprach: Herr HERR, verdirb dein Volk und dein Erbe nicht, das du durch deine große Kraft erlöst und mit mächtiger Hand aus Ägypten geführt hast! |

Remember thy servants, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; look not unto the stubbornness of this people, nor to their wickedness, nor to their sin:
| 27 Acuérdate de tus siervos Abraham, Isaac y Jacob; no mires a la dureza de este pueblo, ni a su impiedad ni a su pecado, | 27 Gedenke an deine Knechte Abraham, Isaak und Jakob! Sieh nicht an die Halsstarrigkeit und das gottlose Treiben und die Sünde dieses Volks, |

Lest the land whence thou broughtest us out say, Because the LORD was not able to bring them into the land which he promised them, and because he hated them, he hath brought them out to slay them in the wilderness.
| 28 no sea que digan los de la tierra de donde nos sacaste: Por cuanto no pudo Jehová introducirlos en la tierra que les había prometido, o porque los aborrecía, los sacó para matarlos en el desierto. | 28 damit das Land, aus dem du uns geführt hast, nicht sage: Der HERR konnte sie nicht in das Land bringen, das er ihnen zugesagt hatte, und hat sie darum herausgeführt, weil er ihnen gram war, um sie zu töten in der Wüste. |

Yet they are thy people and thine inheritance, which thou broughtest out by thy mighty power and by thy stretched out arm.
| 29 Y ellos son tu pueblo y tu heredad, que sacaste con tu gran poder y con tu brazo extendido. | 29 Denn sie sind dein Volk und dein Erbe, das du mit deiner großen Kraft und mit deinem ausgereckten Arm herausgeführt hast. |
