Now therefore hearken, O Israel, unto the statutes and unto the judgments, which I teach you, for to do them, that ye may live, and go in and possess the land which the LORD God of your fathers giveth you.
| 1 Ahora, pues, oh Israel, oye los estatutos y decretos que yo os enseńo, para que los ejecutéis, y viváis, y entréis y poseáis la tierra que Jehová el Dios de vuestros padres os da. | 1 Und nun höre, Israel, die Gebote und Rechte, die ich euch lehre, daß ihr sie tun sollt, auf daß ihr lebet und hineinkommt und das Land einnehmt, das euch der HERR, der Gott eurer Väter, gibt. |

Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.
| 2 No ańadiréis a la palabra que yo os mando, ni disminuiréis de ella, para que guardéis los mandamientos de Jehová vuestro Dios que yo os ordene. | 2 Ihr sollt nichts dazutun zu dem, was ich euch gebiete, und sollt auch nichts davontun, auf daß ihr bewahrt die Gebote des HERRN, eures Gottes, die ich euch gebiete. |

Your eyes have seen what the LORD did because of Baal-peor: for all the men that followed Baal-peor, the LORD thy God hath destroyed them from among you.
| 3 Vuestros ojos vieron lo que hizo Jehová con motivo de Baal- peor; que a todo hombre que fue en pos de Baal-peor destruyó Jehová tu Dios de en medio de ti. | 3 Eure Augen haben gesehen, was der HERR getan hat wider den Baal-Peor; denn alle, die dem Baal-Peor folgten, hat der HERR, dein Gott, vertilgt unter euch. |

But ye that did cleave unto the LORD your God are alive every one of you this day.
| 4 Mas vosotros que seguisteis a Jehová vuestro Dios, todos estáis vivos hoy. | 4 Aber ihr, die ihr dem HERRN, eurem Gott, anhinget, lebt alle heute noch. |

Behold, I have taught you statutes and judgments, even as the LORD my God commanded me, that ye should do so in the land whither ye go to possess it.
| 5 Mirad, yo os he enseńado estatutos y decretos, como Jehová mi Dios me mandó, para que hagáis así en medio de la tierra en la cual entráis para tomar posesión de ella. | 5 Sieh, ich hab euch gelehrt Gebote und Rechte, wie mir der HERR, mein Gott, geboten hat, daß ihr danach tun sollt im Lande, in das ihr kommen werdet, um es einzunehmen. |

Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.
| 6 Guardadlos, pues, y ponedlos por obra; porque esta es vuestra sabiduría y vuestra inteligencia ante los ojos de los pueblos, los cuales oirán todos estos estatutos, y dirán: Ciertamente pueblo sabio y entendido, nación grande es esta. | 6 So haltet sie nun und tut sie! Denn dadurch werdet ihr als weise und verständig gelten bei allen Völkern, daß, wenn sie alle diese Gebote hören, sie sagen müssen: Ei, was für weise und verständige Leute sind das, ein herrliches Volk! |

For what nation is there so great, who hath God so nigh unto them, as the LORD our God is in all things that we call upon him for?
| 7 Porque żqué nación grande hay que tenga dioses tan cercanos a ellos como lo está Jehová nuestro Dios en todo cuanto le pedimos? | 7 Denn wo ist so ein herrliches Volk, dem ein Gott so nahe ist wie uns der HERR, unser Gott, sooft wir ihn anrufen? |

And what nation is there so great, that hath statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day?
| 8 Y żqué nación grande hay que tenga estatutos y juicios justos como es toda esta ley que yo pongo hoy delante de vosotros? | 8 Und wo ist so ein großes Volk, das so gerechte Ordnungen und Gebote hat wie dies ganze Gesetz, das ich euch heute vorlege? |

Only take heed to thyself, and keep thy soul diligently, lest thou forget the things which thine eyes have seen, and lest they depart from thy heart all the days of thy life: but teach them thy sons, and thy sons' sons;
| 9 Por tanto, guárdate, y guarda tu alma con diligencia, para que no te olvides de las cosas que tus ojos han visto, ni se aparten de tu corazón todos los días de tu vida; antes bien, las enseńarás a tus hijos, y a los hijos de tus hijos. | 9 Hüte dich nur und bewahre deine Seele gut, daß du nicht vergißt, was deine Augen gesehen haben, und daß es nicht aus deinem Herzen kommt dein ganzes Leben lang. Specially the day that thou stoodest before the LORD thy God in Horeb, when the LORD said unto me, Gather me the people together, and I will make them hear my words, that they may learn to fear me all the days that they shall live upon the earth, and that they may teach their children.
| 10 El día que estuviste delante de Jehová tu Dios en Horeb, cuando Jehová me dijo: Reúneme el pueblo, para que yo les haga oír mis palabras, las cuales aprenderán, para temerme todos los días que vivieren sobre la tierra, y las enseńarán a sus hijos; | 10 den Tag, da du vor dem HERRN, deinem Gott, standest an dem Berge Horeb, als der HERR zu mir sagte: Versammle mir das Volk, daß sie meine Worte hören und so mich fürchten lernen alle Tage ihres Lebens auf Erden und ihre Kinder lehren. |

And ye came near and stood under the mountain; and the mountain burned with fire unto the midst of heaven, with darkness, clouds, and thick darkness.
| 11 y os acercasteis y os pusisteis al pie del monte; y el monte ardía en fuego hasta en medio de los cielos con tinieblas, nube y oscuridad; | 11 Da tratet ihr herzu und standet unten an dem Berge; der Berg aber stand in Flammen bis in den Himmel hinein, und da war Finsternis, Wolken und Dunkel. |

And the LORD spake unto you out of the midst of the fire: ye heard the voice of the words, but saw no similitude; only ye heard a voice.
| 12 y habló Jehová con vosotros de en medio del fuego; oísteis la voz de sus palabras, mas a excepción de oír la voz, ninguna figura visteis. | 12 Und der HERR redete mit euch mitten aus dem Feuer. Seine Worte hörtet ihr, aber ihr saht keine Gestalt, nur eine Stimme war da. |

And he declared unto you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, even ten commandments; and he wrote them upon two tables of stone.
| 13 Y él os anunció su pacto, el cual os mandó poner por obra; los diez mandamientos, y los escribió en dos tablas de piedra. | 13 Und er verkündigte euch seinen Bund, den er euch gebot zu halten, nämlich die Zehn Worte, und schrieb sie auf zwei steinerne Tafeln. |

And the LORD commanded me at that time to teach you statutes and judgments, that ye might do them in the land whither ye go over to possess it.
| 14 A mí también me mandó Jehová en aquel tiempo que os enseńase los estatutos y juicios, para que los pusieseis por obra en la tierra a la cual pasáis a tomar posesión de ella. | 14 Und der HERR gebot mir zur selben Zeit, euch Gebote und Rechte zu lehren, daß ihr danach tun sollt in dem Lande, in das ihr zieht, es einzunehmen. |

Take ye therefore good heed unto yourselves; for ye saw no manner of similitude on the day that the LORD spake unto you in Horeb out of the midst of the fire:
| 15 Guardad, pues, mucho vuestras almas; pues ninguna figura visteis el día que Jehová habló con vosotros de en medio del fuego; | 15 So hütet euch nun wohl - denn ihr habt keine Gestalt gesehen an dem Tage, da der HERR mit euch redete aus dem Feuer auf dem Berge Horeb -, |

Lest ye corrupt yourselves, and make you a graven image, the similitude of any figure, the likeness of male or female,
| 16 para que no os corrompáis y hagáis para vosotros escultura, imagen de figura alguna, efigie de varón o hembra, | 16 daß ihr euch nicht versündigt und euch irgendein Bildnis macht, das gleich sei einem Mann oder Weib, |

The likeness of any beast that is on the earth, the likeness of any winged fowl that flieth in the air,
| 17 figura de animal alguno que está en la tierra, figura de ave alguna alada que vuele por el aire, | 17 einem Tier auf dem Land oder Vogel unter dem Himmel, |

The likeness of any thing that creepeth on the ground, the likeness of any fish that is in the waters beneath the earth:
| 18 figura de ningún animal que se arrastre sobre la tierra, figura de pez alguno que haya en el agua debajo de la tierra. | 18 dem Gewürm auf der Erde oder einem Fisch im Wasser unter der Erde. |

And lest thou lift up thine eyes unto heaven, and when thou seest the sun, and the moon, and the stars, even all the host of heaven, shouldest be driven to worship them, and serve them, which the LORD thy God hath divided unto all nations under the whole heaven.
| 19 No sea que alces tus ojos al cielo, y viendo el sol y la luna y las estrellas, y todo el ejército del cielo, seas impulsado, y te inclines a ellos y les sirvas; porque Jehová tu Dios los ha concedido a todos los pueblos debajo de todos los cielos. | 19 Hebe auch nicht deine Augen auf gen Himmel, daß du die Sonne sehest und den Mond und die Sterne, das ganze Heer des Himmels, und fallest ab und betest sie an und dienest ihnen. Denn der HERR, dein Gott, hat sie zugewiesen allen andern Völkern unter dem ganzen Himmel; |

But the LORD hath taken you, and brought you forth out of the iron furnace, even out of Egypt, to be unto him a people of inheritance, as ye are this day.
| 20 Pero a vosotros Jehová os tomó, y os ha sacado del horno de hierro, de Egipto, para que seáis el pueblo de su heredad como en este día. | 20 euch aber hat der HERR angenommen und aus dem glühenden Ofen, nämlich aus Ägypten, geführt, daß ihr das Volk sein sollt, das allein ihm gehört, wie ihr es jetzt seid. |

Furthermore the LORD was angry with me for your sakes, and sware that I should not go over Jordan, and that I should not go in unto that good land, which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance:
| 21 Y Jehová se enojó contra mí por causa de vosotros, y juró que yo no pasaría el Jordán, ni entraría en la buena tierra que Jehová tu Dios te da por heredad. | 21 Und der HERR war so erzürnt über mich um eures Tuns willen, daß er schwor, ich sollte nicht über den Jordan gehen noch in das gute Land kommen, das dir der HERR, dein Gott, zum Erbteil geben wird, |

But I must die in this land, I must not go over Jordan: but ye shall go over, and possess that good land.
| 22 Así que yo voy a morir en esta tierra, y no pasaré el Jordán; mas vosotros pasaréis, y poseeréis aquella buena tierra. | 22 sondern ich muß in diesem Lande sterben und werde nicht über den Jordan gehen. Ihr aber werdet hinübergehen und dies gute Land einnehmen. |

Take heed unto yourselves, lest ye forget the covenant of the LORD your God, which he made with you, and make you a graven image, or the likeness of any thing, which the LORD thy God hath forbidden thee.
| 23 Guardaos, no os olvidéis del pacto de Jehová vuestro Dios, que él estableció con vosotros, y no os hagáis escultura o imagen de ninguna cosa que Jehová tu Dios te ha prohibido. | 23 So hütet euch nun, daß ihr den Bund des HERRN, eures Gottes, nicht vergeßt, den er mit euch geschlossen hat, und nicht ein Bildnis macht von irgendeiner Gestalt, wie es der HERR, dein Gott, geboten hat. |

For the LORD thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God.
| 24 Porque Jehová tu Dios es fuego consumidor, Dios celoso. | 24 Denn der HERR, dein Gott, ist ein verzehrendes Feuer und ein eifernder Gott. |

When thou shalt beget children, and children's children, and ye shall have remained long in the land, and shall corrupt yourselves, and make a graven image, or the likeness of any thing, and shall do evil in the sight of the LORD thy God, to provoke him to anger:
| 25 Cuando hayáis engendrado hijos y nietos, y hayáis envejecido en la tierra, si os corrompiereis e hiciereis escultura o imagen de cualquier cosa, e hiciereis lo malo ante los ojos de Jehová vuestro Dios, para enojarlo; | 25 Wenn ihr nun Kinder zeugt und Kindeskinder und im Lande wohnt und versündigt euch und macht euch Bildnisse von irgendeiner Gestalt, so daß ihr übeltut vor dem HERRN, eurem Gott, und ihn erzürnet, |

I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that ye shall soon utterly perish from off the land whereunto ye go over Jordan to possess it; ye shall not prolong your days upon it, but shall utterly be destroyed.
| 26 yo pongo hoy por testigos al cielo y a la tierra, que pronto pereceréis totalmente de la tierra hacia la cual pasáis el Jordán para tomar posesión de ella; no estaréis en ella largos días sin que seáis destruidos. | 26 so rufe ich heute Himmel und Erde zu Zeugen über euch, daß ihr bald weggerafft werdet aus dem Lande, in das ihr geht über den Jordan, um es einzunehmen. Ihr werdet nicht lange darin bleiben, sondern werdet vertilgt werden. |

And the LORD shall scatter you among the nations, and ye shall be left few in number among the heathen, whither the LORD shall lead you.
| 27 Y Jehová os esparcirá entre los pueblos, y quedaréis pocos en número entre las naciones a las cuales os llevará Jehová. | 27 Und der HERR wird euch zerstreuen unter die Völker, und es wird von euch nur eine geringe Zahl übrig bleiben unter den Heiden, zu denen euch der HERR wegführen wird. |

And there ye shall serve gods, the work of men's hands, wood and stone, which neither see, nor hear, nor eat, nor smell.
| 28 Y serviréis allí a dioses hechos de manos de hombres, de madera y piedra, que no ven, ni oyen, ni comen, ni huelen. | 28 Dort wirst du dienen den Götzen, die das Werk von Menschenhänden sind, Holz und Stein, die weder sehen noch hören noch essen noch riechen können. |

But if from thence thou shalt seek the LORD thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.
| 29 Mas si desde allí buscares a Jehová tu Dios, lo hallarás, si lo buscares de todo tu corazón y de toda tu alma. | 29 Wenn du aber dort den HERRN, deinen Gott, suchen wirst, so wirst du ihn finden, wenn du ihn von ganzem Herzen und von ganzer Seele suchen wirst. |

When thou art in tribulation, and all these things are come upon thee, even in the latter days, if thou turn to the LORD thy God, and shalt be obedient unto his voice;
| 30 Cuando estuvieres en angustia, y te alcanzaren todas estas cosas, si en los postreros días te volvieres a Jehová tu Dios, y oyeres su voz; | 30 Wenn du geängstet sein wirst und dich das alles treffen wird in künftigen Zeiten, so wirst du dich bekehren zu dem HERRN, deinem Gott, und seiner Stimme gehorchen. |

(For the LORD thy God is a merciful God;) he will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which he sware unto them.
| 31 porque Dios misericordioso es Jehová tu Dios; no te dejará, ni te destruirá, ni se olvidará del pacto que les juró a tus padres. | 31 Denn der HERR, dein Gott, ist ein barmherziger Gott; er wird dich nicht verlassen noch verderben, wird auch den Bund nicht vergessen, den er deinen Vätern geschworen hat. |

For ask now of the days that are past, which were before thee, since the day that God created man upon the earth, and ask from the one side of heaven unto the other, whether there hath been any such thing as this great thing is, or hath been heard like it?
| 32 Porque pregunta ahora si en los tiempos pasados que han sido antes de ti, desde el día que creó Dios al hombre sobre la tierra, si desde un extremo del cielo al otro se ha hecho cosa semejante a esta gran cosa, o se haya oído otra como ella. | 32 Denn frage nach den früheren Zeiten, die vor dir gewesen sind, von dem Tage an, da Gott den Menschen auf Erden geschaffen hat, und von einem Ende des Himmels zum andern, ob je so Großes geschehen oder desgleichen je gehört sei, |
| 33Did ever people hear the voice of God speaking out of the midst of the fire, as thou hast heard, and live?
| 33 żHa oído pueblo alguno la voz de Dios, hablando de en medio del fuego, como tú la has oído, sin perecer? | 33 daß ein Volk die Stimme Gottes aus dem Feuer hat reden hören, wie du sie gehört hast, und dennoch am Leben blieb? |

Or hath God assayed to go and take him a nation from the midst of another nation, by temptations, by signs, and by wonders, and by war, and by a mighty hand, and by a stretched out arm, and by great terrors, according to all that the LORD your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes?
| 34 żO ha intentado Dios venir a tomar para sí una nación de en medio de otra nación, con pruebas, con seńales, con milagros y con guerra, y mano poderosa y brazo extendido, y hechos aterradores como todo lo que hizo con vosotros Jehová vuestro Dios en Egipto ante tus ojos? | 34 Oder ob je ein Gott versucht hat, hinzugehen und sich ein Volk mitten aus einem Volk herauszuholen durch Machtproben, durch Zeichen, durch Wunder, durch Krieg und durch seine mächtige Hand und durch seinen ausgereckten Arm und durch große Schrecken, wie das alles der HERR, euer Gott, für euch getan hat in Ägypten vor deinen Augen? |

Unto thee it was shewed, that thou mightest know that the LORD he is God; there is none else beside him.
| 35 A ti te fue mostrado, para que supieses que Jehová es Dios, y no hay otro fuera de él. | 35 Du aber hast's gesehen, auf daß du wissest, daß der HERR allein Gott ist und sonst keiner. |

Out of heaven he made thee to hear his voice, that he might instruct thee: and upon earth he shewed thee his great fire; and thou heardest his words out of the midst of the fire.
| 36 Desde los cielos te hizo oír su voz, para enseńarte; y sobre la tierra te mostró su gran fuego, y has oído sus palabras de en medio del fuego. | 36 Vom Himmel hat er dich seine Stimme hören lassen, um dich zurechtzubringen; und auf Erden hat er dir gezeigt sein großes Feuer, und seine Worte hast du aus dem Feuer gehört. |

And because he loved thy fathers, therefore he chose their seed after them, and brought thee out in his sight with his mighty power out of Egypt;
| 37 Y por cuanto él amó a tus padres, escogió a su descendencia después de ellos, y te sacó de Egipto con su presencia y con su gran poder, | 37 Weil er deine Väter geliebt und ihre Nachkommen erwählt hat, hat er dich herausgeführt mit seinem Angesicht durch seine große Kraft aus Ägypten, |

To drive out nations from before thee greater and mightier than thou art, to bring thee in, to give thee their land for an inheritance, as it is this day.
| 38 para echar de delante de tu presencia naciones grandes y más fuertes que tú, y para introducirte y darte su tierra por heredad, como hoy. | 38 damit er vor dir her Völker vertriebe, die größer und stärker sind als du, und dich hineinbrächte, um dir ihr Land zum Erbteil zu geben, wie es jetzt ist. |

Know therefore this day, and consider it in thine heart, that the LORD he is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath: there is none else.
| 39 Aprende pues, hoy, y reflexiona en tu corazón que Jehová es Dios arriba en el cielo y abajo en la tierra, y no hay otro. | 39 So sollst du nun heute wissen und zu Herzen nehmen, daß der HERR Gott ist oben im Himmel und unten auf Erden und sonst keiner, |

Thou shalt keep therefore his statutes, and his commandments, which I command thee this day, that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy days upon the earth, which the LORD thy God giveth thee, for ever.
| 40 Y guarda sus estatutos y sus mandamientos, los cuales yo te mando hoy, para que te vaya bien a ti y a tus hijos después de ti, y prolongues tus días sobre la tierra que Jehová tu Dios te da para siempre. | 40 und sollst halten seine Rechte und Gebote, die ich dir heute gebiete; so wird's dir und deinen Kindern nach dir wohlgehen und dein Leben lange währen in dem Lande, das dir der HERR, dein Gott, gibt für immer. |

Then Moses severed three cities on this side Jordan toward the sunrising;

That the slayer might flee thither, which should kill his neighbour unawares, and hated him not in times past; and that fleeing unto one of these cities he might live:
| 42 para que huyese allí el homicida que matase a su prójimo sin intención, sin haber tenido enemistad con él nunca antes; | 42 damit dorthin fliehen konnte, wer seinen Nächsten totschlägt ohne Vorsatz und ihm zuvor nicht feind gewesen ist; der soll in eine dieser Städte fliehen, damit er am Leben bleibe: |

Namely, Bezer in the wilderness, in the plain country, of the Reubenites; and Ramoth in Gilead, of the Gadites; and Golan in Bashan, of the Manassites.
| 43 Beser en el desierto, en tierra de la llanura, para los rubenitas; Ramot en Galaad para los gaditas, y Golán en Basán para los de Manasés. | 43 Bezer auf der Hochebene für die Rubeniter und Ramot in Gilead für die Gaditer und Golan in Baschan für die Manassiter. |

And this is the law which Moses set before the children of Israel:

These are the testimonies, and the statutes, and the judgments, which Moses spake unto the children of Israel, after they came forth out of Egypt,

On this side Jordan, in the valley over against Beth-peor, in the land of Sihon king of the Amorites, who dwelt at Heshbon, whom Moses and the children of Israel smote, after they were come forth out of Egypt:

And they possessed his land, and the land of Og king of Bashan, two kings of the Amorites, which were on this side Jordan toward the sunrising;

From Aroer, which is by the bank of the river Arnon, even unto mount Sion, which is Hermon,

And all the plain on this side Jordan eastward, even unto the sea of the plain, under the springs of Pisgah.
