Give ear, O ye heavens, and I will speak; and hear, O earth, the words of my mouth.

He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.

They have corrupted themselves, their spot is not the spot of his children: they are a perverse and crooked generation.

| 6Do ye thus requite the LORD, O foolish people and unwise? is not he thy father that hath bought thee? hath he not made thee, and established thee?

Remember the days of old, consider the years of many generations: ask thy father, and he will shew thee; thy elders, and they will tell thee.

When the most High divided to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of Adam, he set the bounds of the people according to the number of the children of Israel.
| 8 Cuando el Altísimo hizo heredar a las naciones,
Cuando hizo dividir a los hijos de los hombres,
Estableció los límites de los pueblos
Según el número de los hijos de Israel. | 8 Als der Höchste den Völkern Land zuteilte und der Menschen Kinder voneinander schied, da setzte er die Grenzen der Völker nach der Zahl der Söhne Israels. |

For the LORD's portion is his people; Jacob is the lot of his inheritance.

He found him in a desert land, and in the waste howling wilderness; he led him about, he instructed him, he kept him as the apple of his eye.

As an eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them on her wings:

So the LORD alone did lead him, and there was no strange god with him.

He made him ride on the high places of the earth, that he might eat the increase of the fields; and he made him to suck honey out of the rock, and oil out of the flinty rock;

Butter of kine, and milk of sheep, with fat of lambs, and rams of the breed of Bashan, and goats, with the fat of kidneys of wheat; and thou didst drink the pure blood of the grape.

Con grosura de corderos,
Y carneros de Basán; también machos cabríos,
Con lo mejor del trigo;
Y de la sangre de la uva bebiste vino. | 14 Butter von den Kühen und Milch von den Schafen samt dem Fett von den Lämmern, feiste Widder und Böcke und das Beste vom Weizen und tränkte ihn mit edlem Traubenblut. |

But Jeshurun waxed fat, and kicked: thou art waxen fat, thou art grown thick, thou art covered with fatness; then he forsook God which made him, and lightly esteemed the Rock of his salvation.
| 15 Pero engordó Jesurún, y tiró coces
(Engordaste, te cubriste de grasa);
Entonces abandonó al Dios que lo hizo,
Y menospreció la Roca de su salvación. | 15 Als aber Jeschurun fett ward, wurde er übermütig. Er ist fett und dick und feist geworden und hat den Gott verworfen, der ihn gemacht hat. Er hat den Fels seines Heils gering geachtet |

They provoked him to jealousy with strange gods, with abominations provoked they him to anger.
| 16 Le despertaron a celos con los dioses ajenos;
Lo provocaron a ira con abominaciones. | 16 und hat ihn zur Eifersucht gereizt durch fremde Götter; durch Greuel hat er ihn erzürnt. |

They sacrificed unto devils, not to God; to gods whom they knew not, to new gods that came newly up, whom your fathers feared not.
| 17 Sacrificaron a los demonios, y no a Dios;
A dioses que no habían conocido,
A nuevos dioses venidos de cerca,
Que no habían temido vuestros padres. | 17 Sie haben den bösen Geistern geopfert und nicht ihrem Gott, den Göttern, die sie nicht kannten, den neuen, die vor kurzem erst aufgekommen sind, die eure Väter nicht geehrt haben. |

Of the Rock that begat thee thou art unmindful, and hast forgotten God that formed thee.

Te has olvidado de Dios tu creador. | 18 Deinen Fels, der dich gezeugt hat, hast du außer acht gelassen und hast vergessen den Gott, der dich gemacht hat. |

And when the LORD saw it, he abhorred them, because of the provoking of his sons, and of his daughters.

And he said, I will hide my face from them, I will see what their end shall be: for they are a very froward generation, children in whom is no faith.

They have moved me to jealousy with that which is not God; they have provoked me to anger with their vanities: and I will move them to jealousy with those which are not a people; I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation.
| 21 Ellos me movieron a celos con lo que no es Dios;
Me provocaron a ira con sus ídolos;
Yo también los moveré a celos con un pueblo que no es pueblo,

For a fire is kindled in mine anger, and shall burn unto the lowest hell, and shall consume the earth with her increase, and set on fire the foundations of the mountains.
| 22 Porque fuego se ha encendido en mi ira,
Y arderá hasta las profundidades del Seol;
Devorará la tierra y sus frutos,
Y abrasará los fundamentos de los montes. | 22 Denn ein Feuer ist entbrannt durch meinen Zorn und wird brennen bis in die unterste Tiefe und wird verzehren das Land mit seinem Gewächs und wird anzünden die Grundfesten der Berge. |

I will heap mischiefs upon them; I will spend mine arrows upon them.
| 23 Yo amontonaré males sobre ellos;
Emplearé en ellos mis saetas. | 23 Ich will alles Unglück über sie häufen, ich will alle meine Pfeile auf sie schießen. |

They shall be burnt with hunger, and devoured with burning heat, and with bitter destruction: I will also send the teeth of beasts upon them, with the poison of serpents of the dust.
| 24 Consumidos serán de hambre, y devorados de fiebre ardiente
Y de peste amarga;
Diente de fieras enviaré también sobre ellos,
Con veneno de serpientes de la tierra. | 24 Vor Hunger sollen sie verschmachten und verzehrt werden vom Fieber und von jähem Tod. Ich will der Tiere Zähne unter sie schicken und der Schlangen Gift. |

The sword without, and terror within, shall destroy both the young man and the virgin, the suckling also with the man of gray hairs.
| 25 Por fuera desolará la espada,
Y dentro de las cámaras el espanto;
Así al joven como a la doncella,
Al niño de pecho como al hombre cano. | 25 Draußen wird das Schwert ihre Kinder rauben und drinnen der Schrecken den jungen Mann wie das Mädchen, den Säugling wie den Greis. |

I said, I would scatter them into corners, I would make the remembrance of them to cease from among men:

Que haría cesar de entre los hombres la memoria de ellos, | 26 Ich hätte gesagt: Es soll aus sein mit ihnen, ich will ihren Namen tilgen unter den Menschen -, |

Were it not that I feared the wrath of the enemy, lest their adversaries should behave themselves strangely, and lest they should say, Our hand is high, and the LORD hath not done all this.
| 27 De no haber temido la provocación del enemigo,
No sea que se envanezcan sus adversarios,
No sea que digan: Nuestra mano poderosa
Ha hecho todo esto, y no Jehová. | 27 wenn ich nicht den Spott der Feinde gescheut hätte; ihre Widersacher hätten es nicht erkannt und gesagt: Unsere Macht ist groß, und nicht der HERR hat dies alles getan. - |

For they are a nation void of counsel, neither is there any understanding in them.
| 28 Porque son nación privada de consejos,
Y no hay en ellos entendimiento. | 28 Denn Israel ist ein Volk, dem man nicht mehr raten kann, und kein Verstand wohnt in ihnen. |

O that they were wise, that they understood this, that they would consider their latter end!
| 29 ¡Ojalá fueran sabios, que comprendieran esto,
Y se dieran cuenta del fin que les espera! | 29 O daß sie weise wären und dies verstünden, daß sie merkten, was ihnen hernach begegnen wird! |

How should one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight, except their Rock had sold them, and the LORD had shut them up?
| 30 ¿Cómo podría perseguir uno a mil,
Y dos hacer huir a diez mil,
Si su Roca no los hubiese vendido,
Y Jehová no los hubiera entregado? | 30 Wie geht's zu, daß einer tausend verjagt und zwei sogar zehntausend flüchtig machen? Kommt's nicht daher, daß ihr Fels sie verkauft hat und der HERR sie dahingegeben hat? |

For their rock is not as our Rock, even our enemies themselves being judges.
| 31 Porque la roca de ellos no es como nuestra Roca,
Y aun nuestros enemigos son de ello jueces. | 31 Denn unserer Feinde Fels ist nicht wie unser Fels; so müssen sie selber urteilen. |

For their vine is of the vine of Sodom, and of the fields of Gomorrah: their grapes are grapes of gall, their clusters are bitter:
| 32 Porque de la vid de Sodoma es la vid de ellos,
Y de los campos de Gomorra;
Las uvas de ellos son uvas ponzoñosas,
Racimos muy amargos tienen. | 32 Denn ihr Weinstock stammt von Sodoms Weinstock und von dem Weinberg Gomorras; ihre Trauben sind Gift, sie haben bittere Beeren, |

Their wine is the poison of dragons, and the cruel venom of asps.

Is not this laid up in store with me, and sealed up among my treasures?
| 34 ¿No tengo yo esto guardado conmigo,
Sellado en mis tesoros? | 34 Ist dies nicht bei mir verwahrt und versiegelt in meinen Schatzkammern?a |

To me belongeth vengeance, and recompence; their foot shall slide in due time: for the day of their calamity is at hand, and the things that shall come upon them make haste.
| 35 Mía es la venganza y la retribución;
A su tiempo su pie resbalará,
Porque el día de su aflicción está cercano,
Y lo que les está preparado se apresura. | 35 Die Rache ist mein, ich will vergelten zur Zeit, da ihr Fuß gleitet; denn die Zeit ihres Unglücks ist nahe, und was über sie kommen soll, eilt herzu. |

For the LORD shall judge his people, and repent himself for his servants, when he seeth that their power is gone, and there is none shut up, or left.
| 36 Porque Jehová juzgará a su pueblo,
Y por amor de sus siervos se arrepentirá,
Cuando viere que la fuerza pereció,
Y que no queda ni siervo ni libre. | 36 Denn der HERR wird seinem Volk Recht schaffen, und über seine Knechte wird er sich erbarmen. Denn er wird sehen, daß ihre Macht dahin ist und es aus ist mit ihnen ganz und gar. |

And he shall say, Where are their gods, their rock in whom they trusted,
| 37 Y dirá: ¿Dónde están sus dioses,
La roca en que se refugiaban; | 37 Und er wird sagen: Wo sind ihre Götter, ihr Fels, auf den sie trauten, |

Which did eat the fat of their sacrifices, and drank the wine of their drink offerings? let them rise up and help you, and be your protection.
| 38 Que comían la grosura de sus sacrificios,
Y bebían el vino de sus libaciones?
Levántense, que os ayuden
Y os defiendan. | 38 die das Fett ihrer Schlachtopfer essen sollten und trinken den Wein ihrer Trankopfer? Laßt sie aufstehen und euch helfen und euch schützen! |

See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand.
| 39 Ved ahora que yo, yo soy,
Y no hay dioses conmigo;
Yo hago morir, y yo hago vivir;
Yo hiero, y yo sano;
Y no hay quien pueda librar de mi mano. | 39 Sehet nun, daß ich's allein bin und ist kein Gott neben mir! Ich kann töten und lebendig machen, ich kann schlagen und kann heilen, und niemand ist da, der aus meiner Hand errettet. |

For I lift up my hand to heaven, and say, I live for ever.

Y diré: Vivo yo para siempre, | 40 Denn ich will meine Hand zum Himmel heben und will sagen: So wahr ich ewig lebe: |

If I whet my glittering sword, and mine hand take hold on judgment; I will render vengeance to mine enemies, and will reward them that hate me.
| 41 Si afilare mi reluciente espada,
Y echare mano del juicio,
Yo tomaré venganza de mis enemigos,
Y daré la retribución a los que me aborrecen. | 41 wenn ich mein blitzendes Schwert schärfe und meine Hand zur Strafe greift, so will ich mich rächen an meinen Feinden und denen, die mich hassen, vergelten. |

I will make mine arrows drunk with blood, and my sword shall devour flesh; and that with the blood of the slain and of the captives, from the beginning of revenges upon the enemy.

Y mi espada devorará carne;
En la sangre de los muertos y de los cautivos,

Rejoice, O ye nations, with his people: for he will avenge the blood of his servants, and will render vengeance to his adversaries, and will be merciful unto his land, and to his people.

Porque él vengará la sangre de sus siervos,
Y tomará venganza de sus enemigos,

And Moses came and spake all the words of this song in the ears of the people, he, and Hoshea the son of Nun.

And Moses made an end of speaking all these words to all Israel:

And he said unto them, Set your hearts unto all the words which I testify among you this day, which ye shall command your children to observe to do, all the words of this law.
| 46 y les dijo: Aplicad vuestro corazón a todas las palabras que yo os testifico hoy, para que las mandéis a vuestros hijos, a fin de que cuiden de cumplir todas las palabras de esta ley. | 46 sprach er zu ihnen: Nehmt zu Herzen alle Worte, die ich euch heute bezeuge, daß ihr euren Kindern befehlt, alle Worte dieses Gesetzes zu halten und zu tun. |

For it is not a vain thing for you; because it is your life: and through this thing ye shall prolong your days in the land, whither ye go over Jordan to possess it.
| 47 Porque no os es cosa vana; es vuestra vida, y por medio de esta ley haréis prolongar vuestros días sobre la tierra adonde vais, pasando el Jordán, para tomar posesión de ella. | 47 Denn es ist nicht ein leeres Wort an euch, sondern es ist euer Leben, und durch dies Wort werdet ihr lange leben in dem Lande, in das ihr zieht über den Jordan, um es einzunehmen. |

And the LORD spake unto Moses that selfsame day, saying,
| 48 Y habló Jehová a Moisés aquel mismo día, | 48 Und der HERR redete mit Mose am selben Tage und sprach: |

Get thee up into this mountain Abarim, unto mount Nebo, which is in the land of Moab, that is over against Jericho; and behold the land of Canaan, which I give unto the children of Israel for a possession:
| 49 Sube a este monte de Abarim, al monte Nebo, situado en la tierra de Moab que está frente a Jericó, y mira la tierra de Canaán, que yo doy por heredad a los hijos de Israel; | 49 Geh auf das Gebirge Abarim, auf den Berg Nebo, der da liegt im Lande Moab gegenüber Jericho, und schaue das Land Kanaan, das ich den Israeliten zum Eigentum geben werde. |

And die in the mount whither thou goest up, and be gathered unto thy people; as Aaron thy brother died in mount Hor, and was gathered unto his people:
| 50 y muere en el monte al cual subes, y sé unido a tu pueblo, así como murió Aarón tu hermano en el monte Hor, y fue unido a su pueblo; | 50 Dann stirb auf dem Berge, auf den du hinaufgestiegen bist, und laß dich zu deinem Volk versammeln, wie dein Bruder Aaron starb auf dem Berge Hor und zu seinem Volk versammelt wurde; |

Because ye trespassed against me among the children of Israel at the waters of MERIBaH-KaDESH, in the wilderness of Zin; because ye sanctified me not in the midst of the children of Israel.
| 51 por cuanto pecasteis contra mí en medio de los hijos de Israel en las aguas de Meriba de Cades, en el desierto de Zin; porque no me santificasteis en medio de los hijos de Israel. | 51 denn ihr habt euch an mir versündigt unter den Israeliten bei dem Haderwasser zu Kadesch in der Wüste Zin, weil ihr mich nicht heiligtet inmitten der Israeliten. |

Yet thou shalt see the land before thee; but thou shalt not go thither unto the land which I give the children of Israel.
| 52 Verás, por tanto, delante de ti la tierra; mas no entrarás allá, a la tierra que doy a los hijos de Israel. | 52 Denn du sollst das Land vor dir sehen, das ich den Israeliten gebe, aber du sollst nicht hineinkommen. |
