If there be a controversy between men, and they come unto judgment, that the judges may judge them; then they shall justify the righteous, and condemn the wicked.
| 1 Si hubiere pleito entre algunos, y acudieren al tribunal para que los jueces los juzguen, éstos absolverán al justo, y condenarán al culpable. | 1 Wenn eine Streitsache zwischen Männern ist und sie vor Gericht kommen und man sie richtet, so soll man den, der im Recht ist, gerecht sprechen und den Schuldigen schuldig sprechen. |

And it shall be, if the wicked man be worthy to be beaten, that the judge shall cause him to lie down, and to be beaten before his face, according to his fault, by a certain number.
| 2 Y si el delincuente mereciere ser azotado, entonces el juez le hará echar en tierra, y le hará azotar en su presencia; según su delito será el número de azotes. | 2 Und wenn der Schuldige Schläge verdient hat, soll ihn der Richter hinlegen lassen, und man soll ihm vor dem Richter eine Anzahl Schläge geben nach dem Maß seiner Schuld. |

Forty stripes he may give him, and not exceed: lest, if he should exceed, and beat him above these with many stripes, then thy brother should seem vile unto thee.

Thou shalt not muzzle the ox when he treadeth out the corn.

If brethren dwell together, and one of them die, and have no child, the wife of the dead shall not marry without unto a stranger: her husband's brother shall go in unto her, and take her to him to wife, and perform the duty of an husband's brother unto her.
| 5 Cuando hermanos habitaren juntos, y muriere alguno de ellos, y no tuviere hijo, la mujer del muerto no se casará fuera con hombre extraño; su cuñado se llegará a ella, y la tomará por su mujer, y hará con ella parentesco. | 5 Wenn Brüder beieinander wohnen und einer stirbt ohne Söhne, so soll seine Witwe nicht die Frau eines Mannes aus einer andern Sippe werden, sondern ihr Schwager soll zu ihr gehen und sie zur Frau nehmen und mit ihr die Schwagerehe schließen. |

And it shall be, that the firstborn which she beareth shall succeed in the name of his brother which is dead, that his name be not put out of Israel.
| 6 Y el primogénito que ella diere a luz sucederá en el nombre de su hermano muerto, para que el nombre de éste no sea borrado de Israel. | 6 Und der erste Sohn, den sie gebiert, soll gelten als der Sohn seines verstorbenen Bruders, damit dessen Name nicht ausgetilgt werde aus Israel. |

And if the man like not to take his brother's wife, then let his brother's wife go up to the gate unto the elders, and say, My husband's brother refuseth to raise up unto his brother a name in Israel, he will not perform the duty of my husband's brother.
| 7 Y si el hombre no quisiere tomar a su cuñada, irá entonces su cuñada a la puerta, a los ancianos, y dirá: Mi cuñado no quiere suscitar nombre en Israel a su hermano; no quiere emparentar conmigo. | 7 Gefällt es aber dem Mann nicht, seine Schwägerin zu nehmen, so soll sie, seine Schwägerin, hingehen ins Tor vor die Ältesten und sagen: Mein Schwager weigert sich, seinem Bruder seinen Namen zu erhalten in Israel, und will mich nicht ehelichen. |

Then the elders of his city shall call him, and speak unto him: and if he stand to it, and say, I like not to take her;
| 8 Entonces los ancianos de aquella ciudad lo harán venir, y hablarán con él; y si él se levantare y dijere: No quiero tomarla, | 8 Dann sollen ihn die Ältesten der Stadt zu sich rufen und mit ihm reden. Wenn er aber darauf besteht und spricht: Es gefällt mir nicht, sie zu nehmen -, |

Then shall his brother's wife come unto him in the presence of the elders, and loose his shoe from off his foot, and spit in his face, and shall answer and say, So shall it be done unto that man that will not build up his brother's house.
| 9 se acercará entonces su cuñada a él delante de los ancianos, y le quitará el calzado del pie, y le escupirá en el rostro, y hablará y dirá: Así será hecho al varón que no quiere edificar la casa de su hermano. | 9 so soll seine Schwägerin zu ihm treten vor den Ältesten und ihm den Schuh vom Fuß ziehen und ihm ins Gesicht speien und soll antworten und sprechen: So soll man tun einem jeden Mann, der seines Bruders Haus nicht bauen will! |

And his name shall be called in Israel, The house of him that hath his shoe loosed.

When men strive together one with another, and the wife of the one draweth near for to deliver her husband out of the hand of him that smiteth him, and putteth forth her hand, and taketh him by the secrets:
| 11 Si algunos riñeren uno con otro, y se acercare la mujer de uno para librar a su marido de mano del que le hiere, y alargando su mano asiere de sus partes vergonzosas, | 11 Wenn zwei Männer gegeneinander handgreiflich werden und des einen Frau läuft hinzu, um ihren Mann zu erretten von der Hand dessen, der ihn schlägt, und sie streckt ihre Hand aus und ergreift ihn bei seiner Scham, |

Then thou shalt cut off her hand, thine eye shall not pity her.
| 12 le cortarás entonces la mano; no la perdonarás. | 12 so sollst du ihr die Hand abhauen, und dein Auge soll sie nicht schonen. |

Thou shalt not have in thy bag divers weights, a great and a small.
| 13 No tendrás en tu bolsa pesa grande y pesa chica, | 13 Du sollst nicht zweierlei Gewicht, groß und klein, in deinem Beutel haben, |

Thou shalt not have in thine house divers measures, a great and a small.
| 14 ni tendrás en tu casa efa grande y efa pequeño. | 14 und in deinem Hause soll nicht zweierlei Maß, groß und klein, sein. |

But thou shalt have a perfect and just weight, a perfect and just measure shalt thou have: that thy days may be lengthened in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
| 15 Pesa exacta y justa tendrás; efa cabal y justo tendrás, para que tus días sean prolongados sobre la tierra que Jehová tu Dios te da. | 15 Du sollst ein volles und rechtes Gewicht und ein volles und rechtes Maß haben, auf daß dein Leben lange währe in dem Lande, das dir der HERR, dein Gott, geben wird. |

For all that do such things, and all that do unrighteously, are an abomination unto the LORD thy God.
| 16 Porque abominación es a Jehová tu Dios cualquiera que hace esto, y cualquiera que hace injusticia. | 16 Denn wer das tut, der ist dem HERRN, deinem Gott, ein Greuel, ein jeder, der übeltut. |

Remember what Amalek did unto thee by the way, when ye were come forth out of Egypt;
| 17 Acuérdate de lo que hizo Amalec contigo en el camino, cuando salías de Egipto; | 17 Denke daran, was dir die Amalekiter taten auf dem Wege, als ihr aus Ägypten zogt: |

How he met thee by the way, and smote the hindmost of thee, even all that were feeble behind thee, when thou wast faint and weary; and he feared not God.
| 18 de cómo te salió al encuentro en el camino, y te desbarató la retaguardia de todos los débiles que iban detrás de ti, cuando tú estabas cansado y trabajado; y no tuvo ningún temor de Dios. | 18 wie sie dich unterwegs angriffen und deine Nachzügler erschlugen, alle die Schwachen, die hinter dir zurückgeblieben waren, als du müde und matt warst, und wie sie Gott nicht fürchteten. |

Therefore it shall be, when the LORD thy God hath given thee rest from all thine enemies round about, in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance to possess it, that thou shalt blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven; thou shalt not forget it.
| 19 Por tanto, cuando Jehová tu Dios te dé descanso de todos tus enemigos alrededor, en la tierra que Jehová tu Dios te da por heredad para que la poseas, borrarás la memoria de Amalec de debajo del cielo; no lo olvides. | 19 Wenn nun der HERR, dein Gott, dich vor allen deinen Feinden ringsumher zur Ruhe bringt im Lande, das dir der HERR, dein Gott, zum Erbe gibt, es einzunehmen, so sollst du die Erinnerung an die Amalekiter austilgen unter dem Himmel. Das vergiß nicht! |
