When thou goest out to battle against thine enemies, and seest horses, and chariots, and a people more than thou, be not afraid of them: for the LORD thy God is with thee, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.
| 1 Cuando salgas a la guerra contra tus enemigos, si vieres caballos y carros, y un pueblo más grande que tú, no tengas temor de ellos, porque Jehová tu Dios está contigo, el cual te sacó de tierra de Egipto. | 1 Wenn du in einen Krieg ziehst gegen deine Feinde und siehst Rosse und Wagen eines Heeres, das größer ist als du, so fürchte dich nicht vor ihnen; denn der HERR, dein Gott, der dich aus Ägyptenland geführt hat, ist mit dir. |

And it shall be, when ye are come nigh unto the battle, that the priest shall approach and speak unto the people,
| 2 Y cuando os acerquéis para combatir, se pondrá en pie el sacerdote y hablará al pueblo, | 2 Wenn ihr nun auszieht zum Kampf, so soll der Priester herzutreten und mit dem Volk reden |

And shall say unto them, Hear, O Israel, ye approach this day unto battle against your enemies: let not your hearts faint, fear not, and do not tremble, neither be ye terrified because of them;
| 3 y les dirá: Oye, Israel, vosotros os juntáis hoy en batalla contra vuestros enemigos; no desmaye vuestro corazón, no temáis, ni os azoréis, ni tampoco os desalentéis delante de ellos; | 3 und zu ihnen sprechen: Israel, höre zu! Ihr zieht heute in den Kampf gegen eure Feinde. Euer Herz verzage nicht, fürchtet euch nicht und erschreckt nicht und laßt euch nicht grauen vor ihnen; |

For the LORD your God is he that goeth with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.
| 4 porque Jehová vuestro Dios va con vosotros, para pelear por vosotros contra vuestros enemigos, para salvaros. | 4 denn der HERR, euer Gott, geht mit euch, daß er für euch streite mit euren Feinden, um euch zu helfen. |

And the officers shall speak unto the people, saying, What man is there that hath built a new house, and hath not dedicated it? let him go and return to his house, lest he die in the battle, and another man dedicate it.
| 5 Y los oficiales hablarán al pueblo, diciendo: ¿Quién ha edificado casa nueva, y no la ha estrenado? Vaya, y vuélvase a su casa, no sea que muera en la batalla, y algún otro la estrene. | 5 Und die Amtleute sollen mit dem Volk reden und sagen: Wer ein neues Haus gebaut hat und hat's noch nicht eingeweiht, der mache sich auf und kehre heim, auf daß er nicht sterbe im Krieg und ein anderer es einweihe. |

And what man is he that hath planted a vineyard, and hath not yet eaten of it? let him also go and return unto his house, lest he die in the battle, and another man eat of it.
| 6 ¿Y quién ha plantado viña, y no ha disfrutado de ella? Vaya, y vuélvase a su casa, no sea que muera en la batalla, y algún otro la disfrute. | 6 Wer einen Weinberg gepflanzt hat und hat seine Früchte noch nicht genossen, der mache sich auf und kehre heim, daß er nicht im Kriege sterbe und ein anderer seine Früchte genieße. |

And what man is there that hath betrothed a wife, and hath not taken her? let him go and return unto his house, lest he die in the battle, and another man take her.
| 7 ¿Y quién se ha desposado con mujer, y no la ha tomado? Vaya, y vuélvase a su casa, no sea que muera en la batalla, y algún otro la tome. | 7 Wer mit einem Mädchen verlobt ist und hat es noch nicht heimgeholt, der mache sich auf und kehre heim, daß er nicht im Krieg sterbe und ein anderer hole es heim. |

And the officers shall speak further unto the people, and they shall say, What man is there that is fearful and fainthearted? let him go and return unto his house, lest his brethren's heart faint as well as his heart.
| 8 Y volverán los oficiales a hablar al pueblo, y dirán: ¿Quién es hombre medroso y pusilánime? Vaya, y vuélvase a su casa, y no apoque el corazón de sus hermanos, como el corazón suyo. | 8 Und die Amtleute sollen weiter mit dem Volk reden und sprechen: Wer sich fürchtet und ein verzagtes Herz hat, der mache sich auf und kehre heim, auf daß er nicht auch das Herz seiner Brüder feige mache, wie sein Herz ist. |

And it shall be, when the officers have made an end of speaking unto the people, that they shall make captains of the armies to lead the people.
| 9 Y cuando los oficiales acaben de hablar al pueblo, entonces los capitanes del ejército tomarán el mando a la cabeza del pueblo. | 9 Und wenn die Amtleute dies alles zu dem Volk geredet haben, so sollen sie Heerführer an die Spitze des Volks stellen. |

When thou comest nigh unto a city to fight against it, then proclaim peace unto it.
| 10 Cuando te acerques a una ciudad para combatirla, le intimarás la paz. | 10 Wenn du vor eine Stadt ziehst, um gegen sie zu kämpfen, so sollst du ihr zuerst den Frieden anbieten. |

And it shall be, if it make thee answer of peace, and open unto thee, then it shall be, that all the people that is found therein shall be tributaries unto thee, and they shall serve thee.
| 11 Y si respondiere: Paz, y te abriere, todo el pueblo que en ella fuere hallado te será tributario, y te servirá. | 11 Antwortet sie dir friedlich und tut dir ihre Tore auf, so soll das ganze Volk, das darin gefunden wird, dir fronpflichtig sein und dir dienen. |

And if it will make no peace with thee, but will make war against thee, then thou shalt besiege it:
| 12 Mas si no hiciere paz contigo, y emprendiere guerra contigo, entonces la sitiarás. | 12 Will sie aber nicht Frieden machen mit dir, sondern mit dir Krieg führen, so belagere sie. |

And when the LORD thy God hath delivered it into thine hands, thou shalt smite every male thereof with the edge of the sword:
| 13 Luego que Jehová tu Dios la entregue en tu mano, herirás a todo varón suyo a filo de espada. | 13 Und wenn sie der HERR, dein Gott, dir in die Hand gibt, so sollst du alles, was männlich darin ist, mit der Schärfe des Schwerts erschlagen. |

But the women, and the little ones, and the cattle, and all that is in the city, even all the spoil thereof, shalt thou take unto thyself; and thou shalt eat the spoil of thine enemies, which the LORD thy God hath given thee.
| 14 Solamente las mujeres y los niños, y los animales, y todo lo que haya en la ciudad, todo su botín tomarás para ti; y comerás del botín de tus enemigos, los cuales Jehová tu Dios te entregó. | 14 Nur die Frauen, die Kinder und das Vieh und alles, was in der Stadt ist, und alle Beute sollst du unter dir austeilen und sollst essen von der Beute deiner Feinde, die dir der HERR, dein Gott, gegeben hat. |

Thus shalt thou do unto all the cities which are very far off from thee, which are not of the cities of these nations.
| 15 Así harás a todas las ciudades que estén muy lejos de ti, que no sean de las ciudades de estas naciones. | 15 So sollst du mit allen Städten tun, die sehr fern von dir liegen und nicht zu den Städten dieser Völker hier gehören. |

But of the cities of these people, which the LORD thy God doth give thee for an inheritance, thou shalt save alive nothing that breatheth:
| 16 Pero de las ciudades de estos pueblos que Jehová tu Dios te da por heredad, ninguna persona dejarás con vida, | 16 Aber in den Städten dieser Völker hier, die dir der HERR, dein Gott, zum Erbe geben wird, sollst du nichts leben lassen, was Odem hat, |

But thou shalt utterly destroy them; namely, the Hittites, and the Amorites, the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites; as the LORD thy God hath commanded thee:
| 17 sino que los destruirás completamente: al heteo, al amorreo, al cananeo, al ferezeo, al heveo y al jebuseo, como Jehová tu Dios te ha mandado; | 17 sondern sollst an ihnen den Bann vollstrecken, nämlich an den Hetitern, Amoritern, Kanaanitern, Perisitern, Hiwitern und Jebusitern, wie dir der HERR, dein Gott, geboten hat, |

That they teach you not to do after all their abominations, which they have done unto their gods; so should ye sin against the LORD your God.
| 18 para que no os enseñen a hacer según todas sus abominaciones que ellos han hecho para sus dioses, y pequéis contra Jehová vuestro Dios. | 18 damit sie euch nicht lehren, all die Greuel zu tun, die sie im Dienst ihrer Götter treiben, und ihr euch so versündigt an dem HERRN, eurem Gott. |

When thou shalt besiege a city a long time, in making war against it to take it, thou shalt not destroy the trees thereof by forcing an axe against them: for thou mayest eat of them, and thou shalt not cut them down (for the tree of the field is man's life) to employ them in the siege:
| 19 Cuando sities a alguna ciudad, peleando contra ella muchos días para tomarla, no destruirás sus árboles metiendo hacha en ellos, porque de ellos podrás comer; y no los talarás, porque el árbol del campo no es hombre para venir contra ti en el sitio. | 19 Wenn du vor einer Stadt lange Zeit liegen mußt, gegen die du kämpfst, um sie zu erobern, so sollst du ihre Bäume nicht verderben und mit Äxten umhauen, denn du kannst davon essen; darum sollst du sie nicht fällen. Die Bäume auf dem Felde sind doch nicht Menschen, daß du sie belagern müßtest! |

Only the trees which thou knowest that they be not trees for meat, thou shalt destroy and cut them down; and thou shalt build bulwarks against the city that maketh war with thee, until it be subdued.
| 20 Mas el árbol que sepas que no lleva fruto, podrás destruirlo y talarlo, para construir baluarte contra la ciudad que te hace la guerra, hasta sojuzgarla. | 20 Die Bäume aber, von denen du weißt, daß man nicht davon ißt, die darfst du verderben und fällen und ein Bollwerk daraus bauen gegen die Stadt, die mit dir Krieg führt, bis du sie besiegt hast. |
