When the LORD thy God hath cut off the nations, whose land the LORD thy God giveth thee, and thou succeedest them, and dwellest in their cities, and in their houses;
| 1 Cuando Jehová tu Dios destruya a las naciones cuya tierra Jehová tu Dios te da a ti, y tú las heredes, y habites en sus ciudades, y en sus casas; | 1 Wenn der HERR, dein Gott, die Völker ausgerottet hat, deren Land dir der HERR, dein Gott, geben wird, daß du es einnimmst und in ihren Städten und Häusern wohnst, |

Thou shalt separate three cities for thee in the midst of thy land, which the LORD thy God giveth thee to possess it.
| 2 te apartarás tres ciudades en medio de la tierra que Jehová tu Dios te da para que la poseas. | 2 sollst du dir drei Städte aussondern im Lande, das dir der HERR, dein Gott, geben wird, es einzunehmen. |

Thou shalt prepare thee a way, and divide the coasts of thy land, which the LORD thy God giveth thee to inherit, into three parts, that every slayer may flee thither.
| 3 Arreglarás los caminos, y dividirás en tres partes la tierra que Jehová tu Dios te dará en heredad, y será para que todo homicida huya allí. | 3 Und du sollst den Weg dahin herrichten und das Gebiet deines Landes, das dir der HERR, dein Gott, zu eigen geben wird, in drei Kreise teilen, damit dahin fliehen kann, wer einen Totschlag getan hat. |

And this is the case of the slayer, which shall flee thither, that he may live: Whoso killeth his neighbour ignorantly, whom he hated not in time past;
| 4 Y este es el caso del homicida que huirá allí, y vivirá: aquel que hiriere a su prójimo sin intención y sin haber tenido enemistad con él anteriormente; | 4 Und in diesem Fall soll ein Totschläger, der dahin flieht, am Leben bleiben: Wenn jemand seinen Nächsten erschlägt, nicht vorsätzlich, und hat vorher keinen Haß gegen ihn gehabt, |

As when a man goeth into the wood with his neighbour to hew wood, and his hand fetcheth a stroke with the axe to cut down the tree, and the head slippeth from the helve, and lighteth upon his neighbour, that he die; he shall flee unto one of those cities, and live:
| 5 como el que fuere con su prójimo al monte a cortar leña, y al dar su mano el golpe con el hacha para cortar algún leño, saltare el hierro del cabo, y diere contra su prójimo y éste muriere; aquél huirá a una de estas ciudades, y vivirá; | 5 etwa wenn jemand mit seinem Nächsten in den Wald ginge, Holz zu hauen, und seine Hand holte mit der Axt aus, das Holz abzuhauen, und das Eisen führe vom Stiel und träfe seinen Nächsten, so daß er stirbt: der soll in eine dieser Städte fliehen, damit er am Leben bleibt; |

Lest the avenger of the blood pursue the slayer, while his heart is hot, and overtake him, because the way is long, and slay him; whereas he was not worthy of death, inasmuch as he hated him not in time past.
| 6 no sea que el vengador de la sangre, enfurecido, persiga al homicida, y le alcance por ser largo el camino, y le hiera de muerte, no debiendo ser condenado a muerte por cuanto no tenía enemistad con su prójimo anteriormente. | 6 auf daß nicht der Bluträcher dem Totschläger nachjage in der Hitze seines Zornes und ihn einhole, weil der Weg so weit ist, und ihn totschlage, wo er doch nicht des Todes schuldig ist, weil er vorher keinen Haß gegen ihn gehabt hat. |

Wherefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt separate three cities for thee.
| 7 Por tanto yo te mando, diciendo: Separarás tres ciudades. | 7 Darum gebiete ich dir, daß du drei Städte aussonderst. |

And if the LORD thy God enlarge thy coast, as he hath sworn unto thy fathers, and give thee all the land which he promised to give unto thy fathers;
| 8 Y si Jehová tu Dios ensanchare tu territorio, como lo juró a tus padres, y te diere toda la tierra que prometió dar a tus padres, | 8 Und wenn der HERR, dein Gott, dein Gebiet erweitern wird, wie er deinen Vätern geschworen hat, und dir alles Land gibt, das er zugesagt hat, deinen Vätern zu geben |

If thou shalt keep all these commandments to do them, which I command thee this day, to love the LORD thy God, and to walk ever in his ways; then shalt thou add three cities more for thee, beside these three:
| 9 siempre y cuando guardares todos estos mandamientos que yo te prescribo hoy, para ponerlos por obra; que ames a Jehová tu Dios y andes en sus caminos todos los días; entonces añadirás tres ciudades más a estas tres, | 9 - wenn du nur alle diese Gebote halten wirst, daß du danach tust, die ich dir heute gebiete, daß du den HERRN, deinen Gott, liebst und in seinen Wegen wandelst dein Leben lang -, so sollst du noch drei Städte zu diesen dreien hinzutun, |

That innocent blood be not shed in thy land, which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance, and so blood be upon thee.
| 10 para que no sea derramada sangre inocente en medio de la tierra que Jehová tu Dios te da por heredad, y no seas culpado de derramamiento de sangre. | 10 auf daß nicht unschuldiges Blut in deinem Lande vergossen werde, das dir der HERR, dein Gott, zum Erbe gibt, und so Blutschuld auf dich komme. |

But if any man hate his neighbour, and lie in wait for him, and rise up against him, and smite him mortally that he die, and fleeth into one of these cities:
| 11 Pero si hubiere alguno que aborreciere a su prójimo y lo acechare, y se levantare contra él y lo hiriere de muerte, y muriere; si huyere a alguna de estas ciudades, | 11 Wenn aber jemand Haß trägt gegen seinen Nächsten und lauert auf ihn und macht sich über ihn her und schlägt ihn tot und flieht in eine dieser Städte, |

Then the elders of his city shall send and fetch him thence, and deliver him into the hand of the avenger of blood, that he may die.
| 12 entonces los ancianos de su ciudad enviarán y lo sacarán de allí, y lo entregarán en mano del vengador de la sangre para que muera. | 12 so sollen die Ältesten seiner Stadt hinschicken und ihn von da holen lassen und ihn in die Hände des Bluträchers geben, daß er sterbe. |

Thine eye shall not pity him, but thou shalt put away the guilt of innocent blood from Israel, that it may go well with thee.
| 13 No le compadecerás; y quitarás de Israel la sangre inocente, y te irá bien. | 13 Deine Augen sollen ihn nicht schonen, und du sollst das unschuldig vergossene Blut aus Israel wegtun, daß dir's wohlgehe. |

Thou shalt not remove thy neighbour's landmark, which they of old time have set in thine inheritance, which thou shalt inherit in the land that the LORD thy God giveth thee to possess it.
| 14 En la heredad que poseas en la tierra que Jehová tu Dios te da, no reducirás los límites de la propiedad de tu prójimo, que fijaron los antiguos. | 14 Du sollst deines Nächsten Grenze, die die Vorfahren festgesetzt haben, nicht verrücken in deinem Erbteil, das du erbst, im Lande, das dir der HERR, dein Gott, gegeben hat, es einzunehmen. |

One witness shall not rise up against a man for any iniquity, or for any sin, in any sin that he sinneth: at the mouth of two witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses, shall the matter be established.
| 15 No se tomará en cuenta a un solo testigo contra ninguno en cualquier delito ni en cualquier pecado, en relación con cualquiera ofensa cometida. Sólo por el testimonio de dos o tres testigos se mantendrá la acusación. | 15 Es soll kein einzelner Zeuge gegen jemand auftreten wegen irgendeiner Missetat oder Sünde, was für eine Sünde es auch sei, die man tun kann, sondern durch zweier oder dreier Zeugen Mund soll eine Sache gültig sein. |

If a false witness rise up against any man to testify against him that which is wrong;
| 16 Cuando se levantare testigo falso contra alguno, para testificar contra él, | 16 Wenn ein frevelhafter Zeuge gegen jemand auftritt, um ihn einer Übertretung zu beschuldigen, |

Then both the men, between whom the controversy is, shall stand before the LORD, before the priests and the judges, which shall be in those days;
| 17 entonces los dos litigantes se presentarán delante de Jehová, y delante de los sacerdotes y de los jueces que hubiere en aquellos días. | 17 so sollen die beiden Männer, die eine Sache miteinander haben, vor den HERRN treten, vor die Priester und Richter, die zu jener Zeit sein werden, |

And the judges shall make diligent inquisition: and, behold, if the witness be a false witness, and hath testified falsely against his brother;
| 18 Y los jueces inquirirán bien; y si aquel testigo resultare falso, y hubiere acusado falsamente a su hermano, | 18 und die Richter sollen gründlich nachforschen. Und wenn der falsche Zeuge ein falsches Zeugnis wider seinen Bruder gegeben hat, |

Then shall ye do unto him, as he had thought to have done unto his brother: so shalt thou put the evil away from among you.
| 19 entonces haréis a él como él pensó hacer a su hermano; y quitarás el mal de en medio de ti. | 19 so sollt ihr mit ihm tun, wie er gedachte, seinem Bruder zu tun, damit du das Böse aus deiner Mitte wegtust, |

And those which remain shall hear, and fear, and shall henceforth commit no more any such evil among you.
| 20 Y los que quedaren oirán y temerán, y no volverán a hacer más una maldad semejante en medio de ti. | 20 auf daß die andern aufhorchen, sich fürchten und hinfort nicht mehr solche bösen Dinge tun in deiner Mitte. |

And thine eye shall not pity; but life shall go for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot.
| 21 Y no le compadecerás; vida por vida, ojo por ojo, diente por diente, mano por mano, pie por pie. | 21 Dein Auge soll ihn nicht schonen: Leben um Leben, Auge um Auge, Zahn um Zahn, Hand um Hand, Fuß um Fuß. |
