These be the words which Moses spake unto all Israel on this side Jordan in the wilderness, in the plain over against the Red sea, between Paran, and Tophel, and Laban, and Hazeroth, and Dizahab.

And it came to pass in the fortieth year, in the eleventh month, on the first day of the month, that Moses spake unto the children of Israel, according unto all that the LORD had given him in commandment unto them;
| 3 Y aconteció que a los cuarenta años, en el mes undécimo, el primero del mes, Moisés habló a los hijos de Israel conforme a todas las cosas que Jehová le había mandado acerca de ellos, | 3 Und es geschah im avierzigsten Jahr am ersten Tage des elften Monats, da redete Mose mit den Israeliten alles, wie es ihm der HERR für sie geboten hatte, |

After he had slain Sihon the king of the Amorites, which dwelt in Heshbon, and Og the king of Bashan, which dwelt at Astaroth in Edrei:
| 4 después que derrotó a Sehón rey de los amorreos, el cual habitaba en Hesbón, y a Og rey de Basán que habitaba en Astarot en Edrei. | 4 nachdem er Sihon geschlagen hatte, den König der Amoriter, der zu Heschbon herrschte, dazu bei Edreï den Og, den König von Baschan, der zu Aschtarot herrschte. |

On this side Jordan, in the land of Moab, began Moses to declare this law, saying,

The LORD our God spake unto us in Horeb, saying, Ye have dwelt long enough in this mount:
| 6 Jehová nuestro Dios nos habló en Horeb, diciendo: Habéis estado bastante tiempo en este monte. | 6 Der HERR, unser Gott, redete mit uns am Berge Horeb und sprach: Ihr seid lange genug an diesem Berge gewesen; |

Turn you, and take your journey, and go to the mount of the Amorites, and unto all the places nigh thereunto, in the plain, in the hills, and in the vale, and in the south, and by the sea side, to the land of the Canaanites, and unto Lebanon, unto the great river, the river Euphrates.
| 7 Volveos e id al monte del amorreo y a todas sus comarcas, en el Arabá, en el monte, en los valles, en el Neguev, y junto a la costa del mar, a la tierra del cananeo, y al Líbano, hasta el gran río, el río Eufrates. | 7 wendet euch und zieht hin, daß ihr zu dem Gebirge der Amoriter kommt und zu allen ihren Nachbarn im Jordantal, auf dem Gebirge und in dem Hügelland, im Südland und am Ufer des Meeres, ins Land Kanaan und zum Berge Libanon, bis an den großen Strom, den Euphrat. |

Behold, I have set the land before you: go in and possess the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give unto them and to their seed after them.
| 8 Mirad, yo os he entregado la tierra; entrad y poseed la tierra que Jehová juró a vuestros padres Abraham, Isaac y Jacob, que les daría a ellos y a su descendencia después de ellos. | 8 Siehe, ich habe das Land vor euren Augen dahingegeben. Zieht hinein und nehmt das Land ein, von dem der HERR euren Vätern Abraham, Isaak und Jakob geschworen hat, daß er's ihnen und ihren Nachkommen geben wolle. |

And I spake unto you at that time, saying, I am not able to bear you myself alone:
| 9 En aquel tiempo yo os hablé diciendo: Yo solo no puedo llevaros. | 9 Da sprach ich zur selben Zeit zu euch: Ich kann euch nicht mehr allein tragen; |

The LORD your God hath multiplied you, and, behold, ye are this day as the stars of heaven for multitude.
| 10 Jehová vuestro Dios os ha multiplicado, y he aquí hoy vosotros sois como las estrellas del cielo en multitud. | 10 denn der HERR, euer Gott, hat euch so zahlreich werden lassen, daß ihr heute seid wie die Menge der Sterne am Himmel. |

(The LORD God of your fathers make you a thousand times so many more as ye are, and bless you, as he hath promised you!)
| 11 ¡Jehová Dios de vuestros padres os haga mil veces más de lo que ahora sois, y os bendiga, como os ha prometido! | 11 Der HERR, der Gott eurer Väter, mache aus euch noch vieltausendmal mehr und segne euch, wie er euch zugesagt hat! |

How can I myself alone bear your cumbrance, and your burden, and your strife?
| 12 ¿Cómo llevaré yo solo vuestras molestias, vuestras cargas y vuestros pleitos? | 12 Wie kann ich allein tragen eure Mühe und Last und euren Streit? |

Take you wise men, and understanding, and known among your tribes, and I will make them rulers over you.
| 13 Dadme de entre vosotros, de vuestras tribus, varones sabios y entendidos y expertos, para que yo los ponga por vuestros jefes. | 13 Schafft herbei weise, verständige und erfahrene Leute unter euren Stämmen, die will ich über euch zu Häuptern setzen. |

And ye answered me, and said, The thing which thou hast spoken is good for us to do.
| 14 Y me respondisteis y dijisteis: Bueno es hacer lo que has dicho. | 14 Da antwortetet ihr mir und spracht: Ja, das ist eine gute Sache, die du tun willst. |

So I took the chief of your tribes, wise men, and known, and made them heads over you, captains over thousands, and captains over hundreds, and captains over fifties, and captains over tens, and officers among your tribes.
| 15 Y tomé a los principales de vuestras tribus, varones sabios y expertos, y los puse por jefes sobre vosotros, jefes de millares, de centenas, de cincuenta y de diez, y gobernadores de vuestras tribus. | 15 Da nahm ich die Häupter eurer Stämme, weise und erfahrene Männer, und setzte sie über euch als Oberste über tausend, über hundert, über fünfzig und über zehn und als Amtleute für eure Stämme. |

And I charged your judges at that time, saying, Hear the causes between your brethren, and judge righteously between every man and his brother, and the stranger that is with him.
| 16 Y entonces mandé a vuestros jueces, diciendo: Oíd entre vuestros hermanos, y juzgad justamente entre el hombre y su hermano, y el extranjero. | 16 Und ich gebot euren Richtern zur selben Zeit und sprach: Hört eure Brüder an und richtet recht, wenn einer etwas mit seinem Bruder hat oder mit dem Fremdling, der bei ihm ist. |

Ye shall not respect persons in judgment; but ye shall hear the small as well as the great; ye shall not be afraid of the face of man; for the judgment is God's: and the cause that is too hard for you, bring it unto me, and I will hear it.
| 17 No hagáis distinción de persona en el juicio; así al pequeño como al grande oiréis; no tendréis temor de ninguno, porque el juicio es de Dios; y la causa que os fuere difícil, la traeréis a mí, y yo la oiré. | 17 Beim Richten sollt ihr die Person nicht ansehen, sondern sollt den Kleinen hören wie den Großen und vor niemand euch scheuen; denn das Gericht ist Gottes. Wird aber euch eine Sache zu schwer sein, die laßt an mich gelangen, damit ich sie höre. |

And I commanded you at that time all the things which ye should do.
| 18 Os mandé, pues, en aquel tiempo, todo lo que habíais de hacer. | 18 So gebot ich euch zu der Zeit alles, was ihr tun sollt. |

And when we departed from Horeb, we went through all that great and terrible wilderness, which ye saw by the way of the mountain of the Amorites, as the LORD our God commanded us; and we came to Kadesh-barnea.
| 19 Y salidos de Horeb, anduvimos todo aquel grande y terrible desierto que habéis visto, por el camino del monte del amorreo, como Jehová nuestro Dios nos lo mandó; y llegamos hasta Cades- barnea. | 19 Da brachen wir auf vom Horeb und zogen durch die ganze Wüste, die groß und furchtbar ist, wie ihr gesehen habt, auf der Straße zum Gebirge der Amoriter, wie uns der HERR, unser Gott, geboten hatte, und kamen bis nach Kadesch- Barnea. |

And I said unto you, Ye are come unto the mountain of the Amorites, which the LORD our God doth give unto us.
| 20 Entonces os dije: Habéis llegado al monte del amorreo, el cual Jehová nuestro Dios nos da. | 20 Da sprach ich zu euch: Ihr seid an das Gebirge der Amoriter gekommen, das uns der HERR, unser Gott, geben wird. |

Behold, the LORD thy God hath set the land before thee: go up and possess it, as the LORD God of thy fathers hath said unto thee; fear not, neither be discouraged.
| 21 Mira, Jehová tu Dios te ha entregado la tierra; sube y toma posesión de ella, como Jehová el Dios de tus padres te ha dicho; no temas ni desmayes. | 21 Sieh her, der HERR, dein Gott, hat dir das Land hingegeben; zieh hinauf und nimm's ein, wie der HERR, der Gott deiner Väter, dir zugesagt hat. Fürchte dich nicht und laß dir nicht grauen. |

And ye came near unto me every one of you, and said, We will send men before us, and they shall search us out the land, and bring us word again by what way we must go up, and into what cities we shall come.
| 22 Y vinisteis a mí todos vosotros, y dijisteis: Enviemos varones delante de nosotros que nos reconozcan la tierra, y a su regreso nos traigan razón del camino por donde hemos de subir, y de las ciudades adonde hemos de llegar. | 22 Da kamt ihr alle zu mir und spracht: Laßt uns Männer vor uns her senden, die uns das Land erkunden und uns den Weg sagen, auf dem wir hineinziehen sollen, und die Städte, zu denen wir kommen werden. |

And the saying pleased me well: and I took twelve men of you, one of a tribe:
| 23 Y el dicho me pareció bien; y tomé doce varones de entre vosotros, un varón por cada tribu. | 23 Das gefiel mir gut, und ich nahm von euch zwölf Männer, von jedem Stamm einen. |

And they turned and went up into the mountain, and came unto the valley of Eshcol, and searched it out.
| 24 Y se encaminaron, y subieron al monte, y llegaron hasta el valle de Escol, y reconocieron la tierra. | 24 Als diese weggingen und hinaufzogen auf das Gebirge und an den Traubenbach kamen, da erkundeten sie das Land |

And they took of the fruit of the land in their hands, and brought it down unto us, and brought us word again, and said, It is a good land which the LORD our God doth give us.
| 25 Y tomaron en sus manos del fruto del país, y nos lo trajeron, y nos dieron cuenta, y dijeron: Es buena la tierra que Jehová nuestro Dios nos da. | 25 und nahmen Früchte des Landes mit sich und brachten sie herab zu uns und gaben uns Bericht und sprachen: Das Land ist gut, das der HERR, unser Gott, uns gegeben hat. - |

Notwithstanding ye would not go up, but rebelled against the commandment of the LORD your God:
| 26 Sin embargo, no quisisteis subir, antes fuisteis rebeldes al mandato de Jehová vuestro Dios; | 26 Aber ihr wolltet nicht hinaufziehen und wurdet ungehorsam dem Munde des HERRN, eures Gottes, |

And ye murmured in your tents, and said, Because the LORD hated us, he hath brought us forth out of the land of Egypt, to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites, to destroy us.
| 27 y murmurasteis en vuestras tiendas, diciendo: Porque Jehová nos aborrece, nos ha sacado de tierra de Egipto, para entregarnos en manos del amorreo para destruirnos. | 27 und murrtet in euren Zelten und spracht: Der HERR ist uns gram; darum hat er uns aus Ägyptenland geführt, daß er uns in die Hände der Amoriter gebe, um uns zu vertilgen. |

Whither shall we go up? our brethren have discouraged our heart, saying, The people is greater and taller than we; the cities are great and walled up to heaven; and moreover we have seen the sons of the Anakims there.
| 28 ¿A dónde subiremos? Nuestros hermanos han atemorizado nuestro corazón, diciendo: Este pueblo es mayor y más alto que nosotros, las ciudades grandes y amuralladas hasta el cielo; y también vimos allí a los hijos de Anac. | 28 Wo sollen wir hinziehen? Unsere Brüder haben unser Herz verzagt gemacht und gesagt, das Volk sei größer und höher gewachsen als wir, die Städte seien groß und bis an den Himmel ummauert; dazu haben wir dort Anakiter gesehen. |

Then I said unto you, Dread not, neither be afraid of them.
| 29 Entonces os dije: No temáis, ni tengáis miedo de ellos. | 29 Ich sprach aber zu euch: Entsetzt euch nicht und fürchtet euch nicht vor ihnen. |

The LORD your God which goeth before you, he shall fight for you, according to all that he did for you in Egypt before your eyes;
| 30 Jehová vuestro Dios, el cual va delante de vosotros, él peleará por vosotros, conforme a todas las cosas que hizo por vosotros en Egipto delante de vuestros ojos. | 30 Der HERR, euer Gott, zieht vor euch hin und wird für euch streiten, wie er's mit euch getan hat in Ägypten vor euren Augen |

And in the wilderness, where thou hast seen how that the LORD thy God bare thee, as a man doth bear his son, in all the way that ye went, until ye came into this place.
| 31 Y en el desierto has visto que Jehová tu Dios te ha traído, como trae el hombre a su hijo, por todo el camino que habéis andado, hasta llegar a este lugar. | 31 und in der Wüste. Da hast du gesehen, daß dich der HERR, dein Gott, getragen hat, wie ein Mann seinen Sohn trägt, auf dem ganzen Wege, den ihr gewandert seid, bis ihr an diesen Ort kamt. |

Yet in this thing ye did not believe the LORD your God,
| 32 Y aun con esto no creísteis a Jehová vuestro Dios, | 32 Und trotzdem glaubtet ihr dem HERRN, eurem Gott, nicht, |

Who went in the way before you, to search you out a place to pitch your tents in, in fire by night, to shew you by what way ye should go, and in a cloud by day.
| 33 quien iba delante de vosotros por el camino para reconoceros el lugar donde habíais de acampar, con fuego de noche para mostraros el camino por donde anduvieseis, y con nube de día. | 33 der auf dem Weg vor euch herging, euch die Stätte zu weisen, wo ihr euch lagern solltet, bei Nacht im Feuer, um euch den Weg zu zeigen, den ihr gehen solltet, und bei Tage in der Wolke. |

And the LORD heard the voice of your words, and was wroth, and sware, saying,
| 34 Y oyó Jehová la voz de vuestras palabras, y se enojó, | 34 Als aber der HERR euer Geschrei hörte, wurde er zornig und schwor und sprach: |

Surely there shall not one of these men of this evil generation see that good land, which I sware to give unto your fathers,
| 35 No verá hombre alguno de estos, de esta mala generación, la buena tierra que juré que había de dar a vuestros padres, | 35 Es soll keiner von diesem bösen Geschlecht das gute Land sehen, das ich ihren Vätern zu geben geschworen habe, |

Save Caleb the son of Jephunneh; he shall see it, and to him will I give the land that he hath trodden upon, and to his children, because he hath wholly followed the LORD.
| 36 excepto Caleb hijo de Jefone; él la verá, y a él le daré la tierra que pisó, y a sus hijos; porque ha seguido fielmente a Jehová. | 36 außer Kaleb, dem Sohn Jefunnes; der soll es sehen. Ihm und seinen Nachkommen will ich das Land geben, das er betreten hat, weil er dem HERRN treu gefolgt ist. |

Also the LORD was angry with me for your sakes, saying, Thou also shalt not go in thither.
| 37 También contra mí se airó Jehová por vosotros, y me dijo: Tampoco tú entrarás allá. | 37 Auch über mich wurde der HERR zornig um euretwillen und sprach: Du sollst auch nicht hineinkommen. |

But Joshua the son of Nun, which standeth before thee, he shall go in thither: encourage him: for he shall cause Israel to inherit it.
| 38 Josué hijo de Nun, el cual te sirve, él entrará allá; anímale, porque él la hará heredar a Israel. | 38 Aber Josua, der Sohn Nuns, der dein Diener ist, der soll hineinkommen. Dem stärke den Mut; denn er soll Israel das Erbe austeilen. |

Moreover your little ones, which ye said should be a prey, and your children, which in that day had no knowledge between good and evil, they shall go in thither, and unto them will I give it, and they shall possess it.
| 39 Y vuestros niños, de los cuales dijisteis que servirían de botín, y vuestros hijos que no saben hoy lo bueno ni lo malo, ellos entrarán allá, y a ellos la daré, y ellos la heredarán. | 39 Und eure Säuglinge, von denen ihr sagtet, sie würden zum Raube werden, und eure Kinder, die jetzt weder Gutes noch Böses verstehen, die sollen hineinkommen; ihnen will ich's geben, und sie sollen es besitzen. |

But as for you, turn you, and take your journey into the wilderness by the way of the Red sea.
| 40 Pero vosotros volveos e id al desierto, camino del Mar Rojo. | 40 Ihr aber, wendet euch und zieht wieder in die Wüste den Weg zum Schilfmeer. |

Then ye answered and said unto me, We have sinned against the LORD, we will go up and fight, according to all that the LORD our God commanded us. And when ye had girded on every man his weapons of war, ye were ready to go up into the hill.
| 41 Entonces respondisteis y me dijisteis: Hemos pecado contra Jehová; nosotros subiremos y pelearemos, conforme a todo lo que Jehová nuestro Dios nos ha mandado. Y os armasteis cada uno con sus armas de guerra, y os preparasteis para subir al monte. | 41 Da antwortetet ihr und spracht zu mir: Wir haben an dem HERRN gesündigt; wir wollen hinaufziehen und kämpfen, wie uns der HERR, unser Gott, geboten hat. Als ihr euch nun rüstetet, ein jeder mit seinen Waffen, und es für ein Leichtes hieltet, ins Gebirge hinaufzuziehen, |

And the LORD said unto me, Say unto them, Go not up, neither fight; for I am not among you; lest ye be smitten before your enemies.
| 42 Y Jehová me dijo: Diles: No subáis, ni peleéis, pues no estoy entre vosotros; para que no seáis derrotados por vuestros enemigos. | 42 da sprach der HERR zu mir: Sage ihnen, daß sie nicht hinaufziehen, auch nicht kämpfen - denn ich bin nicht unter euch -, damit ihr nicht geschlagen werdet von euren Feinden. |

So I spake unto you; and ye would not hear, but rebelled against the commandment of the LORD, and went presumptuously up into the hill.
| 43 Y os hablé, y no disteis oído; antes fuisteis rebeldes al mandato de Jehová, y persistiendo con altivez subisteis al monte. | 43 Als ich euch das sagte, gehorchtet ihr nicht und wurdet ungehorsam dem Munde des HERRN und waret vermessen und zogt hinauf ins Gebirge. |

And the Amorites, which dwelt in that mountain, came out against you, and chased you, as bees do, and destroyed you in Seir, even unto Hormah.
| 44 Pero salió a vuestro encuentro el amorreo, que habitaba en aquel monte, y os persiguieron como hacen las avispas, y os derrotaron en Seir, hasta Horma. | 44 Da zogen die Amoriter aus, die auf dem Gebirge wohnten, euch entgegen und jagten euch, wie's die Bienen tun, und schlugen euch von Seïr bis nach Horma. |

And ye returned and wept before the LORD; but the LORD would not hearken to your voice, nor give ear unto you.
| 45 Y volvisteis y llorasteis delante de Jehová, pero Jehová no escuchó vuestra voz, ni os prestó oído. | 45 Als ihr nun wiederkamt und vor dem HERRN weintet, wollte der HERR eure Stimme nicht hören und neigte seine Ohren nicht zu euch. |

So ye abode in Kadesh many days, according unto the days that ye abode there.
| 46 Y estuvisteis en Cades por muchos días, los días que habéis estado allí. | 46 So bliebt ihr in Kadesch eine lange Zeit. |
