And now will I shew thee the truth. Behold, there shall stand up yet three kings in Persia; and the fourth shall be far richer than they all: and by his strength through his riches he shall stir up all against the realm of Grecia.

And a mighty king shall stand up, that shall rule with great dominion, and do according to his will.
| 3 Se levantará luego un rey valiente, el cual dominará con gran poder y hará su voluntad. | 3 Danach wird ein mächtiger König aufstehen und mit großer Macht herrschen, und was er will, wird er ausrichten. |

And when he shall stand up, his kingdom shall be broken, and shall be divided toward the four winds of heaven; and not to his posterity, nor according to his dominion which he ruled: for his kingdom shall be plucked up, even for others beside those.
| 4 Pero cuando se haya levantado, su reino será quebrantado y repartido hacia los cuatro vientos del cielo; no a sus descendientes, ni según el dominio con que él dominó; porque su reino será arrancado, y será para otros fuera de ellos. | 4 Aber wenn er emporgekommen ist, wird sein Reich zerbrechen und in die vier Winde des Himmels zerteilt werden, nicht auf seine Nachkommen, auch nicht mit solcher Macht, wie er sie hatte; denn sein Reich wird zerstört und Fremden zuteil werden. |

And the king of the south shall be strong, and one of his princes; and he shall be strong above him, and have dominion; his dominion shall be a great dominion.
| 5 Y se hará fuerte el rey del sur; mas uno de sus príncipes será más fuerte que él, y se hará poderoso; su dominio será grande. | 5 Und der König des Südens wird mächtig werden; aber gegen ihn wird einer seiner Fürsten noch mächtiger werden und herrschen; dessen Herrschaft wird groß sein. |

And in the end of years they shall join themselves together; for the king's daughter of the south shall come to the king of the north to make an agreement: but she shall not retain the power of the arm; neither shall he stand, nor his arm: but she shall be given up, and they that brought her, and he that begat her, and he that strengthened her in these times.
| 6 Al cabo de ańos harán alianza, y la hija del rey del sur vendrá al rey del norte para hacer la paz. Pero ella no podrá retener la fuerza de su brazo, ni permanecerá él, ni su brazo; porque será entregada ella y los que la habían traído, asimismo su hijo, y los que estaban de parte de ella en aquel tiempo. | 6 Nach einigen Jahren aber werden sie sich miteinander befreunden. Und die Tochter des Königs des Südens wird kommen zum König des Nordens, um die Einigkeit zu festigen. Aber sie wird keinen Erfolg haben, und auch ihr Nachkomme wird nicht bleiben, sondern sie wird preisgegeben werden samt denen, die sie gebracht haben, und mit dem, der sie erzeugt hat, und mit dem, der sie zur Frau genommen hat. But out of a branch of her roots shall one stand up in his estate, which shall come with an army, and shall enter into the fortress of the king of the north, and shall deal against them, and shall prevail:
| 7 Pero un renuevo de sus raíces se levantará sobre su trono, y vendrá con ejército contra el rey del norte, y entrará en la fortaleza, y hará en ellos a su arbitrio, y predominará. | 7 wird einer aus ihrem Stamm emporkommen; der wird gegen die Heeresmacht des Königs des Nordens ziehen und in seine Festung eindringen und wird an ihnen seine Macht zeigen. |

And shall also carry captives into Egypt their gods, with their princes, and with their precious vessels of silver and of gold; and he shall continue more years than the king of the north.
| 8 Y aun a los dioses de ellos, sus imágenes fundidas y sus objetos preciosos de plata y de oro, llevará cautivos a Egipto; y por ańos se mantendrá él contra el rey del norte. | 8 Auch wird er ihre Götter samt den Bildern und den kostbaren Geräten aus Silber und Gold wegführen nach Ägypten und einige Jahre von dem König des Nordens ablassen. |

So the king of the south shall come into his kingdom, and shall return into his own land.
| 9 Así entrará en el reino el rey del sur, y volverá a su tierra. | 9 Aber der wird eindringen in das Reich des Königs des Südens, jedoch dann wieder in sein Land zurückkehren. |

But his sons shall be stirred up, and shall assemble a multitude of great forces: and one shall certainly come, and overflow, and pass through: then shall he return, and be stirred up, even to his fortress.
| 10 Mas los hijos de aquél se airarán, y reunirán multitud de grandes ejércitos; y vendrá apresuradamente e inundará, y pasará adelante; luego volverá y llevará la guerra hasta su fortaleza. | 10 Aber seine Söhne werden Krieg führen und große Heere zusammenbringen; und der eine wird kommen und wie eine Flut heranbrausen und wiederum Krieg führen bis vor seine Festung. |

And the king of the south shall be moved with choler, and shall come forth and fight with him, even with the king of the north: and he shall set forth a great multitude; but the multitude shall be given into his hand.
| 11 Por lo cual se enfurecerá el rey del sur, y saldrá y peleará contra el rey del norte; y pondrá en campańa multitud grande, y toda aquella multitud será entregada en su mano. | 11 Dann wird der König des Südens ergrimmen und ausziehen und mit dem König des Nordens kämpfen. Der wird ein großes Heer zusammenbringen, aber das Heer wird in die Hand des andern gegeben |

And when he hath taken away the multitude, his heart shall be lifted up; and he shall cast down many ten thousands: but he shall not be strengthened by it.
| 12 Y al llevarse él la multitud, se elevará su corazón, y derribará a muchos millares; mas no prevalecerá. | 12 und vernichtet werden. Daraufhin wird sich dessen Herz überheben, und er wird viele Tausende erschlagen; aber er wird nicht mächtig bleiben. |

For the king of the north shall return, and shall set forth a multitude greater than the former, and shall certainly come after certain years with a great army and with much riches.
| 13 Y el rey del norte volverá a poner en campańa una multitud mayor que la primera, y al cabo de algunos ańos vendrá apresuradamente con gran ejército y con muchas riquezas. | 13 Denn der König des Nordens wird wiederum ein Heer zusammenbringen, größer als das vorige war; und nach einigen Jahren wird er ausziehen mit großer Heeresmacht und vielem Troß. |

And in those times there shall many stand up against the king of the south: also the robbers of thy people shall exalt themselves to establish the vision; but they shall fall.
| 14 En aquellos tiempos se levantarán muchos contra el rey del sur; y hombres turbulentos de tu pueblo se levantarán para cumplir la visión, pero ellos caerán. | 14 Und zur selben Zeit werden viele aufstehen gegen den König des Südens. Auch werden sich Abtrünnige aus deinem Volk erheben und eine Weissagung erfüllen und werden fallen. |

So the king of the north shall come, and cast up a mount, and take the most fenced cities: and the arms of the south shall not withstand, neither his chosen people, neither shall there be any strength to withstand.
| 15 Vendrá, pues, el rey del norte, y levantará baluartes, y tomará la ciudad fuerte; y las fuerzas del sur no podrán sostenerse, ni sus tropas escogidas, porque no habrá fuerzas para resistir. | 15 Und der König des Nordens wird kommen und einen Wall aufschütten und eine feste Stadt einnehmen. Und die Heere des Südens können's nicht verhindern, und sein bestes Kriegsvolk kann nicht widerstehen; |

But he that cometh against him shall do according to his own will, and none shall stand before him: and he shall stand in the glorious land, which by his hand shall be consumed.
| 16 Y el que vendrá contra él hará su voluntad, y no habrá quien se le pueda enfrentar; y estará en la tierra gloriosa, la cual será consumida en su poder. | 16 sondern der gegen ihn zieht, wird tun, was ihm gut dünkt, und niemand wird ihm widerstehen können. Er wird auch in das herrliche Land kommen, und Verderben ist in seiner Hand. |

He shall also set his face to enter with the strength of his whole kingdom, and upright ones with him; thus shall he do: and he shall give him the daughter of women, corrupting her: but she shall not stand on his side, neither be for him.
| 17 Afirmará luego su rostro para venir con el poder de todo su reino; y hará con aquél convenios, y le dará una hija de mujeres para destruirle; pero no permanecerá, ni tendrá éxito. | 17 Und er wird seinen Sinn darauf richten, daß er mit Macht sein ganzes Königreich bekomme, und sich mit ihm vertragen und wird ihm seine Tochter zur Frau geben, um ihn zu verderben. Aber es wird ihm nicht gelingen, und es wird nichts daraus werden. |

After this shall he turn his face unto the isles, and shall take many: but a prince for his own behalf shall cause the reproach offered by him to cease; without his own reproach he shall cause it to turn upon him.
| 18 Volverá después su rostro a las costas, y tomará muchas; mas un príncipe hará cesar su afrenta, y aun hará volver sobre él su oprobio. | 18 Danach wird er sich gegen die Inseln wenden und viele von ihnen gewinnen. Aber ein Mächtiger wird ihn zwingen, mit Schmähen aufzuhören, und wird ihm seine Schmähungen heimzahlen. |

Then he shall turn his face toward the fort of his own land: but he shall stumble and fall, and not be found.
| 19 Luego volverá su rostro a las fortalezas de su tierra; mas tropezará y caerá, y no será hallado. | 19 Danach wird er sich wenden gegen die Festungen seines eigenen Landes; er wird straucheln und fallen, daß man ihn nirgends finden wird. |

Then shall stand up in his estate a raiser of taxes in the glory of the kingdom: but within few days he shall be destroyed, neither in anger, nor in battle.
| 20 Y se levantará en su lugar uno que hará pasar un cobrador de tributos por la gloria del reino; pero en pocos días será quebrantado, aunque no en ira, ni en batalla. | 20 Und an seiner Statt wird einer emporkommen, der wird einen Kämmerer das herrliche Land durchziehen lassen, um Abgaben einzutreiben; doch nach einigen Jahren wird er umgebracht werden, aber weder öffentlich noch im Kampf. |

And in his estate shall stand up a vile person, to whom they shall not give the honour of the kingdom: but he shall come in peaceably, and obtain the kingdom by flatteries.
| 21 Y le sucederá en su lugar un hombre despreciable, al cual no darán la honra del reino; pero vendrá sin aviso y tomará el reino con halagos. | 21 Dann wird an seiner Statt emporkommen ein verächtlicher Mensch, dem die Ehre des Thrones nicht zugedacht war. Der wird unerwartet kommen und sich durch Ränke die Herrschaft erschleichen. |

And with the arms of a flood shall they be overflown from before him, and shall be broken; yea, also the prince of the covenant.
| 22 Las fuerzas enemigas serán barridas delante de él como con inundación de aguas; serán del todo destruidos, junto con el príncipe del pacto. | 22 Und heranflutende Heere werden vor ihm hinweggeschwemmt und vernichtet werden, dazu auch der Fürst des Bundes. |

And after the league made with him he shall work deceitfully: for he shall come up, and shall become strong with a small people.
| 23 Y después del pacto con él, engańará y subirá, y saldrá vencedor con poca gente. | 23 Denn nachdem er sich mit ihm angefreundet hat, wird er listig handeln und heraufziehen und mit wenigen Leuten Macht gewinnen. |

He shall enter peaceably even upon the fattest places of the province; and he shall do that which his fathers have not done, nor his fathers' fathers; he shall scatter among them the prey, and spoil, and riches: yea, and he shall forecast his devices against the strong holds, even for a time.
| 24 Estando la provincia en paz y en abundancia, entrará y hará lo que no hicieron sus padres, ni los padres de sus padres; botín, despojos y riquezas repartirá a sus soldados, y contra las fortalezas formará sus designios; y esto por un tiempo. | 24 Und unerwartet wird er in die besten Städte des Landes kommen und wird tun, was weder seine Väter noch seine Vorväter getan haben, und Raub, Beute und Güter an seine Leute verteilen; er wird nach den allerfestesten Städten trachten, aber nur für eine befristete Zeit. |

And he shall stir up his power and his courage against the king of the south with a great army; and the king of the south shall be stirred up to battle with a very great and mighty army; but he shall not stand: for they shall forecast devices against him.
| 25 Y despertará sus fuerzas y su ardor contra el rey del sur con gran ejército; y el rey del sur se empeńará en la guerra con grande y muy fuerte ejército; mas no prevalecerá, porque le harán traición. | 25 Und er wird seine Macht und seinen Mut gegen den König des Südens aufbieten mit einem großen Heer. Dann wird der König des Südens sich aufmachen zum Kampf mit einem großen, mächtigen Heer, aber er wird nicht bestehen; denn es werden Pläne gegen ihn geschmiedet. |

Yea, they that feed of the portion of his meat shall destroy him, and his army shall overflow: and many shall fall down slain.
| 26 Aun los que coman de sus manjares le quebrantarán; y su ejército será destruido, y caerán muchos muertos. | 26 Und die sein Brot essen, die werden helfen, ihn zu verderben und sein Heer zu verjagen, so daß viele erschlagen werden. |

And both these kings' hearts shall be to do mischief, and they shall speak lies at one table; but it shall not prosper: for yet the end shall be at the time appointed.
| 27 El corazón de estos dos reyes será para hacer mal, y en una misma mesa hablarán mentira; mas no servirá de nada, porque el plazo aún no habrá llegado. | 27 Und beide Könige werden darauf bedacht sein, wie sie einander schaden können, und sie werden an einem Tisch verlogen miteinander reden. Es wird ihnen aber nicht gelingen, denn das Ende ist noch auf eine andere Zeit bestimmt. |

Then shall he return into his land with great riches; and his heart shall be against the holy covenant; and he shall do exploits, and return to his own land.
| 28 Y volverá a su tierra con gran riqueza, y su corazón será contra el pacto santo; hará su voluntad, y volverá a su tierra. | 28 Danach wird er wieder heimziehen mit großer Beute und dabei seinen Sinn richten gegen den heiligen Bund; er wird es ausführen und in sein Land zurückkehren. |

At the time appointed he shall return, and come toward the south; but it shall not be as the former, or as the latter.
| 29 Al tiempo seńalado volverá al sur; mas no será la postrera venida como la primera. | 29 Und nach einer bestimmten Zeit wird er wieder nach Süden ziehen; aber es wird beim zweiten Mal nicht so sein wie beim ersten Mal. |

For the ships of Chittim shall come against him: therefore he shall be grieved, and return, and have indignation against the holy covenant: so shall he do; he shall even return, and have intelligence with them that forsake the holy covenant.
| 30 Porque vendrán contra él naves de Quitim, y él se contristará, y volverá, y se enojará contra el pacto santo, y hará según su voluntad; volverá, pues, y se entenderá con los que abandonen el santo pacto. | 30 Denn es werden Schiffe aus Kittim gegen ihn kommen, so daß er verzagen wird und umkehren muß. Dann wird er gegen den heiligen Bund ergrimmen und danach handeln und sich denen zuwenden, die den heiligen Bund verlassen. |

And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate.
| 31 Y se levantarán de su parte tropas que profanarán el santuario y la fortaleza, y quitarán el continuo sacrificio, y pondrán la abominación desoladora. | 31 Und seine Heere werden kommen und Heiligtum und Burg entweihen und das tägliche Opfer abschaffen und das Greuelbild der Verwüstung aufstellen. |

And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.
| 32 Con lisonjas seducirá a los violadores del pacto; mas el pueblo que conoce a su Dios se esforzará y actuará. | 32 Und er wird mit Ränken alle zum Abfall bringen, die den Bund übertreten. Aber die vom Volk, die ihren Gott kennen, werden sich ermannen und danach handeln. |

And they that understand among the people shall instruct many: yet they shall fall by the sword, and by flame, by captivity, and by spoil, many days.
| 33 Y los sabios del pueblo instruirán a muchos; y por algunos días caerán a espada y a fuego, en cautividad y despojo. | 33 Und die Verständigen im Volk werden vielen zur Einsicht verhelfen; darüber werden sie verfolgt werden mit Schwert, Feuer, Gefängnis und Raub eine Zeitlang. |

Now when they shall fall, they shall be holpen with a little help: but many shall cleave to them with flatteries.
| 34 Y en su caída serán ayudados de pequeńo socorro; y muchos se juntarán a ellos con lisonjas. | 34 Während sie verfolgt werden, wird ihnen eine kleine Hilfe zuteil werden; aber viele werden sich nicht aufrichtig zu ihnen halten. |

And some of them of understanding shall fall, to try them, and to purge, and to make them white, even to the time of the end: because it is yet for a time appointed.
| 35 También algunos de los sabios caerán para ser depurados y limpiados y emblanquecidos, hasta el tiempo determinado; porque aun para esto hay plazo. | 35 Und einige von den Verständigen werden fallen, damit viele bewährt, rein und lauter werden für die Zeit des Endes; denn es geht ja um eine befristete Zeit. |

And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done.
| 36 Y el rey hará su voluntad, y se ensoberbecerá, y se engrandecerá sobre todo dios; y contra el Dios de los dioses hablará maravillas, y prosperará, hasta que sea consumada la ira; porque lo determinado se cumplirá. | 36 Und der König wird tun, was er will, und wird sich überheben und großtun gegen alles, was Gott ist. Und gegen den Gott aller Götter wird er Ungeheuerliches reden, und es wird ihm gelingen, bis sich der Zorn ausgewirkt hat; denn es muß geschehen, was beschlossen ist. |

Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all.
| 37 Del Dios de sus padres no hará caso, ni del amor de las mujeres; ni respetará a dios alguno, porque sobre todo se engrandecerá. | 37 Auch die Götter seiner Väter wird er nicht achten; er wird weder den Lieblingsgott der Frauen noch einen andern Gott achten; denn er wird sich über alles erheben. |

But in his estate shall he honour the God of forces: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things.
| 38 Mas honrará en su lugar al dios de las fortalezas, dios que sus padres no conocieron; lo honrará con oro y plata, con piedras preciosas y con cosas de gran precio. | 38 Dagegen wird er den Gott der Festungen verehren; den Gott, von dem seine Väter nichts gewußt haben, wird er ehren mit Gold, Silber, Edelsteinen und Kostbarkeiten. |

Thus shall he do in the most strong holds with a strange god, whom he shall acknowledge and increase with glory: and he shall cause them to rule over many, and shall divide the land for gain.
| 39 Con un dios ajeno se hará de las fortalezas más inexpugnables, y colmará de honores a los que le reconozcan, y por precio repartirá la tierra. | 39 Und er wird die starken Festungen dem fremden Gott unterstellen. Denen, die ihn erwählen, wird er große Ehre antun und sie zu Herren machen über viele und ihnen Land zum Lohn austeilen. |

And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over.
| 40 Pero al cabo del tiempo el rey del sur contenderá con él; y el rey del norte se levantará contra él como una tempestad, con carros y gente de a caballo, y muchas naves; y entrará por las tierras, e inundará, y pasará. | 40 Und zur Zeit des Endes wird sich der König des Südens mit ihm messen, und der König des Nordens wird mit Wagen, Reitern und vielen Schiffen gegen ihn anstürmen und wird in die Länder einfallen und sie überschwemmen und überfluten. |

He shall enter also into the glorious land, and many countries shall be overthrown: but these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon.
| 41 Entrará a la tierra gloriosa, y muchas provincias caerán; mas éstas escaparán de su mano: Edom y Moab, y la mayoría de los hijos de Amón. | 41 Und er wird in das herrliche Land einfallen, und viele werden umkommen. Es werden aber seiner Hand entrinnen Edom, Moab und der Hauptteil der Ammoniter. |

He shall stretch forth his hand also upon the countries: and the land of Egypt shall not escape.
| 42 Extenderá su mano contra las tierras, y no escapará el país de Egipto. | 42 Und er wird seine Hand ausstrecken nach den Ländern, und Ägypten wird ihm nicht entrinnen, |

But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt: and the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be at his steps.
| 43 Y se apoderará de los tesoros de oro y plata, y de todas las cosas preciosas de Egipto; y los de Libia y de Etiopía le seguirán. | 43 sondern er wird Herr werden über die goldenen und silbernen Schätze und über alle Kostbarkeiten Ägyptens; Libyer und Kuschiter werden ihm folgen müssen. |

But tidings out of the east and out of the north shall trouble him: therefore he shall go forth with great fury to destroy, and utterly to make away many.
| 44 Pero noticias del oriente y del norte lo atemorizarán, y saldrá con gran ira para destruir y matar a muchos. | 44 Es werden ihn aber Gerüchte erschrecken aus Osten und Norden, und er wird mit großem Grimm ausziehen, um viele zu vertilgen und zu verderben. |

And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him. | 45 Y plantará las tiendas de su palacio entre los mares y el monte glorioso y santo; mas llegará a su fin, y no tendrá quien le ayude. | 45 Und er wird seine prächtigen Zelte aufschlagen zwischen dem Meer und dem herrlichen, heiligen Berg; aber es wird mit ihm ein Ende nehmen, und niemand wird ihm helfen. |
