Thus hath the Lord GOD shewed unto me: and behold a basket of summer fruit.
| 1 Así me ha mostrado Jehová el Señor: He aquí un canastillo de fruta de verano. | 1 Gott der HERR ließ mich schauen, und siehe, da stand ein Korb mit reifem Obst. |

And he said, Amos, what seest thou? And I said, A basket of summer fruit. Then said the LORD unto me, The end is come upon my people of Israel; I will not again pass by them any more.
| 2 Y dijo: ¿Qué ves, Amós? Y respondí: Un canastillo de fruta de verano. Y me dijo Jehová: Ha venido el fin sobre mi pueblo Israel; no lo toleraré más. | 2 Und er sprach: Was siehst du, Amos? Ich aber antwortete: Einen Korb mit reifem Obst. Da sprach der HERR zu mir: Reif zum Ende ist mein Volk Israel; ich will ihm nichts mehr übersehen. |

And the songs of the temple shall be howlings in that day, saith the Lord GOD: there shall be many dead bodies in every place; they shall cast them forth with silence.
| 3 Y los cantores del templo gemirán en aquel día, dice Jehová el Señor; muchos serán los cuerpos muertos; en todo lugar los echarán fuera en silencio. | 3 Und die Lieder im Tempel sollen in Heulen verkehrt werden zur selben Zeit, spricht Gott der HERR. Es werden an allen Orten viele Leichname liegen, die man heimlich hinwirft. |

Hear this, O ye that swallow up the needy, even to make the poor of the land to fail,
| 4 Oíd esto, los que explotáis a los menesterosos, y arruináis a los pobres de la tierra, | 4 Höret dies, die ihr die Armen unterdrückt und die Elenden im Lande zugrunde richtet |

Saying, When will the new moon be gone, that we may sell corn? and the sabbath, that we may set forth wheat, making the ephah small, and the shekel great, and falsifying the balances by deceit?
| 5 diciendo: ¿Cuándo pasará el mes, y venderemos el trigo; y la semana, y abriremos los graneros del pan, y achicaremos la medida, y subiremos el precio, y falsearemos con engaño la balanza, | 5 und sprecht: Wann will denn der Neumond ein Ende haben, daß wir Getreide verkaufen, und der Sabbat, daß wir Korn feilhalten können und das Maß verringern und den Preis steigern und die Waage fälschen, |

That we may buy the poor for silver, and the needy for a pair of shoes; yea, and sell the refuse of the wheat?
| 6 para comprar los pobres por dinero, y los necesitados por un par de zapatos, y venderemos los desechos del trigo? | 6 damit wir die Armen um Geld und die Geringen um ein Paar Schuhe in unsere Gewalt bringen und Spreu für Korn verkaufen? |

The LORD hath sworn by the excellency of Jacob, Surely I will never forget any of their works.
| 7 Jehová juró por la gloria de Jacob: No me olvidaré jamás de todas sus obras. | 7 Der HERR hat bei sich, dem Ruhm Jakobs, geschworen: Niemals werde ich diese ihre Taten vergessen! |

Shall not the land tremble for this, and every one mourn that dwelleth therein? and it shall rise up wholly as a flood; and it shall be cast out and drowned, as by the flood of Egypt.
| 8 ¿No se estremecerá la tierra sobre esto? ¿No llorará todo habitante de ella? Subirá toda, como un río, y crecerá y mermará como el río de Egipto. | 8 Sollte nicht um solcher Taten willen das Land erbeben müssen und alle Bewohner trauern? Ja, es soll sich heben wie die Wasser des Nils und sich senken wie der Strom Ägyptens. |

And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord GOD, that I will cause the sun to go down at noon, and I will darken the earth in the clear day:
| 9 Acontecerá en aquel día, dice Jehová el Señor, que haré que se ponga el sol a mediodía, y cubriré de tinieblas la tierra en el día claro. | 9 Zur selben Zeit, spricht Gott der HERR, will ich die Sonne am Mittag untergehen und das Land am hellen Tage finster werden lassen. |

And I will turn your feasts into mourning, and all your songs into lamentation; and I will bring up sackcloth upon all loins, and baldness upon every head; and I will make it as the mourning of an only son, and the end thereof as a bitter day.
| 10 Y cambiaré vuestras fiestas en lloro, y todos vuestros cantares en lamentaciones; y haré poner cilicio sobre todo lomo, y que se rape toda cabeza; y la volveré como en llanto de unigénito, y su postrimería como día amargo. | 10 Ich will eure Feiertage in Trauer und alle eure Lieder in Wehklagen verwandeln. Ich will über alle Lenden den Sack bringen und alle Köpfe kahl machen und will ein Trauern schaffen, wie man trauert über den einzigen Sohn, und sie sollen ein bitteres Ende nehmen. Tob 2,5.6 |

Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD:
| 11 He aquí vienen días, dice Jehová el Señor, en los cuales enviaré hambre a la tierra, no hambre de pan, ni sed de agua, sino de oír la palabra de Jehová. | 11 Siehe, es kommt die Zeit, spricht Gott der HERR, daß ich einen Hunger ins Land schicken werde, nicht einen Hunger nach Brot oder Durst nach Wasser, sondern nach dem Wort des HERRN, es zu hören; |

And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the LORD, and shall not find it.
| 12 E irán errantes de mar a mar; desde el norte hasta el oriente discurrirán buscando palabra de Jehová, y no la hallarán. | 12 daß sie hin und her von einem Meer zum andern, von Norden nach Osten laufen und des HERRN Wort suchen und doch nicht finden werden. |

In that day shall the fair virgins and young men faint for thirst.
| 13 En aquel tiempo las doncellas hermosas y los jóvenes desmayarán de sed. | 13 Zu der Zeit werden die schönen Jungfrauen und die Jünglinge verschmachten vor Durst, |

They that swear by the sin of Samaria, and say, Thy god, O Dan, liveth; and, The manner of Beer-sheba liveth; even they shall fall, and never rise up again. | 14 Los que juran por el pecado de Samaria, y dicen: Por tu Dios, oh Dan, y: Por el camino de Beerseba, caerán, y nunca más se levantarán. | 14 die jetzt schwören bei dem Abgott Samarias und sprechen: "So wahr dein Gott lebt, Dan!" und: "So wahr dein Gott lebt, Beerscheba!" Sie sollen so fallen, daß sie nicht wiederaufstehen können. |
