Hear ye this word which I take up against you, even a lamentation, O house of Israel.

The virgin of Israel is fallen; she shall no more rise: she is forsaken upon her land; there is none to raise her up.
| 2 Cayó la virgen de Israel, y no podrá levantarse ya más; fue dejada sobre su tierra, no hay quien la levante. | 2 Die Jungfrau Israel ist gefallen, daß sie nicht wieder aufstehen wird; sie ist zu Boden gestoßen, und niemand ist da, der ihr aufhelfe. |

For thus saith the Lord GOD; The city that went out by a thousand shall leave an hundred, and that which went forth by an hundred shall leave ten, to the house of Israel.
| 3 Porque así ha dicho Jehová el Señor: La ciudad que salga con mil, volverá con ciento, y la que salga con ciento volverá con diez, en la casa de Israel. | 3 Denn so spricht Gott der HERR: Die Stadt, aus der Tausend zum Kampf ausziehen, soll nur Hundert übrig behalten, und aus der Hundert ausziehen, die soll nur Zehn übrig behalten im Hause Israel. |

For thus saith the LORD unto the house of Israel, Seek ye me, and ye shall live:
| 4 Pero así dice Jehová a la casa de Israel: Buscadme, y viviréis; | 4 Denn so spricht der HERR zum Hause Israel: Suchet mich, so werdet ihr leben. |

But seek not Bethel, nor enter into Gilgal, and pass not to Beer-sheba: for Gilgal shall surely go into captivity, and Bethel shall come to nought.
| 5 y no busquéis a Bet-el, ni entréis en Gilgal, ni paséis a Beerseba; porque Gilgal será llevada en cautiverio, y Bet-el será deshecha. | 5 Suchet nicht Bethel und kommt nicht nach Gilgal und geht nicht nach Beerscheba; denn Gilgal wird gefangen weggeführt werden, und Bethel wird zunichte werden. |

Seek the LORD, and ye shall live; lest he break out like fire in the house of Joseph, and devour it, and there be none to quench it in Bethel.

Ye who turn judgment to wormwood, and leave off righteousness in the earth,
| 7 Los que convertís en ajenjo el juicio, y la justicia la echáis por tierra, | 7 die ihr das Recht in Wermut verkehrt und die Gerechtigkeit zu Boden stoßt. |

Seek him that maketh the seven stars and Orion, and turneth the shadow of death into the morning, and maketh the day dark with night: that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: The LORD is his name:
| 8 buscad al que hace las Pléyades y el Orión, y vuelve las tinieblas en mañana, y hace oscurecer el día como noche; el que llama a las aguas del mar, y las derrama sobre la faz de la tierra; Jehová es su nombre; | 8 Der das Siebengestirn und den Orion macht, der aus der Finsternis den Morgen macht und aus dem Tag die finstere Nacht, der das Wasser im Meer herbeiruft und schüttet es auf den Erdboden - er heißt "HERR" -, |

That strengtheneth the spoiled against the strong, so that the spoiled shall come against the fortress.
| 9 que da esfuerzo al despojador sobre el fuerte, y hace que el despojador venga sobre la fortaleza. | 9 der über den Starken Verderben kommen läßt und bringt Verderben über die feste Stadt. |

They hate him that rebuketh in the gate, and they abhor him that speaketh uprightly.
| 10 Ellos aborrecieron al reprensor en la puerta de la ciudad, y al que hablaba lo recto abominaron. | 10 Sie sind dem gram, der sie im Tor zurechtweist, und verabscheuen den, der ihnen die Wahrheit sagt. |

Forasmuch therefore as your treading is upon the poor, and ye take from him burdens of wheat: ye have built houses of hewn stone, but ye shall not dwell in them; ye have planted pleasant vineyards, but ye shall not drink wine of them.
| 11 Por tanto, puesto que vejáis al pobre y recibís de él carga de trigo, edificasteis casas de piedra labrada, mas no las habitaréis; plantasteis hermosas viñas, mas no beberéis el vino de ellas. | 11 Darum, weil ihr die Armen unterdrückt und nehmt von ihnen hohe Abgaben an Korn, so sollt ihr in den Häusern nicht wohnen, die ihr von Quadersteinen gebaut habt, und den Wein nicht trinken, den ihr in den feinen Weinbergen gepflanzt habt. |

For I know your manifold transgressions and your mighty sins: they afflict the just, they take a bribe, and they turn aside the poor in the gate from their right.
| 12 Porque yo sé de vuestras muchas rebeliones, y de vuestros grandes pecados; sé que afligís al justo, y recibís cohecho, y en los tribunales hacéis perder su causa a los pobres. | 12 Denn ich kenne eure Freveltaten, die so viel sind, und eure Sünden, die so groß sind, wie ihr die Gerechten bedrängt und Bestechungsgeld nehmt und die Armen im Tor unterdrückt. |

Therefore the prudent shall keep silence in that time; for it is an evil time.
| 13 Por tanto, el prudente en tal tiempo calla, porque el tiempo es malo. | 13 Darum muß der Kluge zu dieser Zeit schweigen; denn es ist eine böse Zeit. |

Seek good, and not evil, that ye may live: and so the LORD, the God of hosts, shall be with you, as ye have spoken.
| 14 Buscad lo bueno, y no lo malo, para que viváis; porque así Jehová Dios de los ejércitos estará con vosotros, como decís. | 14 Suchet das Gute und nicht das Böse, auf daß ihr leben könnt, so wird der HERR, der Gott Zebaoth, bei euch sein, wie ihr rühmt. |

Hate the evil, and love the good, and establish judgment in the gate: it may be that the LORD God of hosts will be gracious unto the remnant of Joseph.
| 15 Aborreced el mal, y amad el bien, y estableced la justicia en juicio; quizá Jehová Dios de los ejércitos tendrá piedad del remanente de José. | 15 Hasset das Böse und liebet das Gute, richtet das Recht auf im Tor, vielleicht wird der HERR, der Gott Zebaoth, doch gnädig sein denen, die von Josef übrigbleiben. |

Therefore the LORD, the God of hosts, the Lord, saith thus; Wailing shall be in all streets; and they shall say in all the highways, Alas! alas! and they shall call the husbandman to mourning, and such as are skilful of lamentation to wailing.
| 16 Por tanto, así ha dicho Jehová, Dios de los ejércitos: En todas las plazas habrá llanto, y en todas las calles dirán: ¡Ay! ¡Ay!, y al labrador llamarán a lloro, y a endecha a los que sepan endechar. | 16 Darum spricht der HERR, der Gott Zebaoth, der Herr: Es wird in allen Gassen Wehklagen sein, und auf allen Straßen wird man sagen: "Wehe, wehe!" Und man wird den Ackermann zum Trauern rufen und zum Wehklagen, wer die Totenklage erheben kann. |

And in all vineyards shall be wailing: for I will pass through thee, saith the LORD.
| 17 Y en todas las viñas habrá llanto; porque pasaré en medio de ti, dice Jehová. | 17 In allen Weinbergen wird Wehklagen sein; denn ich will unter euch fahren, spricht der HERR. |

Woe unto you that desire the day of the LORD! to what end is it for you? the day of the LORD is darkness, and not light.
| 18 ¡Ay de los que desean el día de Jehová! ¿Para qué queréis este día de Jehová? Será de tinieblas, y no de luz; | 18 Weh denen, die des HERRN Tag herbeiwünschen! Was soll er euch? Denn des HERRN Tag ist Finsternis und nicht Licht, |

As if a man did flee from a lion, and a bear met him; or went into the house, and leaned his hand on the wall, and a serpent bit him.
| 19 como el que huye de delante del león, y se encuentra con el oso; o como si entrare en casa y apoyare su mano en la pared, y le muerde una culebra. | 19 gleichwie wenn jemand vor dem Löwen flieht und ein Bär begegnet ihm und er kommt in ein Haus und lehnt sich mit der Hand an die Wand, so sticht ihn eine Schlange! |

Shall not the day of the LORD be darkness, and not light? even very dark, and no brightness in it?
| 20 ¿No será el día de Jehová tinieblas, y no luz; oscuridad, que no tiene resplandor? | 20 Ja, des HERRN Tag wird finster und nicht licht sein, dunkel und nicht hell. |

I hate, I despise your feast days, and I will not smell in your solemn assemblies.
| 21 Aborrecí, abominé vuestras solemnidades, y no me complaceré en vuestras asambleas. | 21 Ich bin euren Feiertagen gram und verachte sie und mag eure Versammlungen nicht riechen. |

Though ye offer me burnt offerings and your meat offerings, I will not accept them: neither will I regard the peace offerings of your fat beasts.
| 22 Y si me ofreciereis vuestros holocaustos y vuestras ofrendas, no los recibiré, ni miraré a las ofrendas de paz de vuestros animales engordados. | 22 Und wenn ihr mir auch Brandopfer und Speisopfer opfert, so habe ich kein Gefallen daran und mag auch eure fetten Dankopfer nicht ansehen. |

Take thou away from me the noise of thy songs; for I will not hear the melody of thy viols.
| 23 Quita de mí la multitud de tus cantares, pues no escucharé las salmodias de tus instrumentos. | 23 Tu weg von mir das Geplärr deiner Lieder; denn ich mag dein Harfenspiel nicht hören! |

But let judgment run down as waters, and righteousness as a mighty stream.
| 24 Pero corra el juicio como las aguas, y la justicia como impetuoso arroyo. | 24 Es ströme aber das Recht wie Wasser und die Gerechtigkeit wie ein nie versiegender Bach. |

Have ye offered unto me sacrifices and offerings in the wilderness forty years, O house of Israel?
| 25 ¿Me ofrecisteis sacrificios y ofrendas en el desierto en cuarenta años, oh casa de Israel? | 25 Habt ihr vom Hause Israel mir in der Wüste die vierzig Jahre lang Schlachtopfer und Speisopfer geopfert? |

But ye have borne the tabernacle of your Moloch and Chiun your images, the star of your god, which ye made to yourselves.
| 26 Antes bien, llevabais el tabernáculo de vuestro Moloc y Quiún, ídolos vuestros, la estrella de vuestros dioses que os hicisteis. | 26 Ihr truget den Sakkut, euren König, und Kewan*, den Stern eures Gottes, eure Bilder, welche ihr euch selbst gemacht habt; *Sakkut und Kewan (vgl. Sach- und Worterklärungen) sind Namen heidnischer Götter, die in Israel verehrt wurden. |

Therefore will I cause you to go into captivity beyond Damascus, saith the LORD, whose name is The God of hosts. | 27 Os haré, pues, transportar más allá de Damasco, ha dicho Jehová, cuyo nombre es Dios de los ejércitos. | 27 so will ich euch wegführen lassen bis jenseits von Damaskus, spricht der HERR, der Gott Zebaoth heißt. |
