And there happened to be there a man of Belial, whose name was Sheba, the son of Bichri, a Benjamite: and he blew a trumpet, and said, We have no part in David, neither have we inheritance in the son of Jesse: every man to his tents, O Israel.
| 1 Aconteció que se hallaba allí un hombre perverso que se llamaba Seba hijo de Bicri, hombre de Benjamín, el cual tocó la trompeta, y dijo: No tenemos nosotros parte en David, ni heredad con el hijo de Isaí. ¡Cada uno a su tienda, Israel! | 1 Es traf sich aber, daß dort ein ruchloser Mann war, der hieß Scheba, ein Sohn Bichris, ein Benjaminiter. Der blies die Posaune und sprach: Wir haben kein Teil an David noch Erbe am Sohn Isais. Ein jeder gehe in sein Zelt, Israel! |

So every man of Israel went up from after David, and followed Sheba the son of Bichri: but the men of Judah clave unto their king, from Jordan even to Jerusalem.
| 2 Así todos los hombres de Israel abandonaron a David, siguiendo a Seba hijo de Bicri; mas los de Judá siguieron a su rey desde el Jordán hasta Jerusalén. | 2 Da fiel jedermann in Israel von David ab, und sie folgten Scheba, dem Sohn Bichris. Aber die Männer von Juda hingen ihrem König an und geleiteten ihn vom Jordan bis Jerusalem. |

And David came to his house at Jerusalem; and the king took the ten women his concubines, whom he had left to keep the house, and put them in ward, and fed them, but went not in unto them. So they were shut up unto the day of their death, living in widowhood.
| 3 Y luego que llegó David a su casa en Jerusalén, tomó el rey las diez mujeres concubinas que había dejado para guardar la casa, y las puso en reclusión, y les dio alimentos; pero nunca más se llegó a ellas, sino que quedaron encerradas hasta que murieron, en viudez perpetua. | 3 Als aber der König David heimkam nach Jerusalem, nahm er die zehn Nebenfrauen, die er zurückgelassen hatte, um das Haus zu bewahren, und tat sie in ein besonderes Haus und versorgte sie; aber er ging nicht ein zu ihnen. Und so waren sie eingeschlossen bis an ihren Tod und lebten wie Witwen. |

Then said the king to Amasa, Assemble me the men of Judah within three days, and be thou here present.
| 4 Después dijo el rey a Amasa: Convócame a los hombres de Judá para dentro de tres días, y hállate tú aquí presente. | 4 Und der König sprach zu Amasa: Ruf mir alle Männer von Juda auf den dritten Tag zusammen, und du sollst dann auch hier stehen. |

So Amasa went to assemble the men of Judah: but he tarried longer than the set time which he had appointed him.
| 5 Fue, pues, Amasa para convocar a los de Judá; pero se detuvo más del tiempo que le había sido señalado. | 5 Und Amasa ging hin, um Juda zusammenzurufen; aber er blieb über die Zeit hinaus, die ihm bestimmt war. |

And David said to Abishai, Now shall Sheba the son of Bichri do us more harm than did Absalom: take thou thy lord's servants, and pursue after him, lest he get him fenced cities, and escape us.
| 6 Y dijo David a Abisai: Seba hijo de Bicri nos hará ahora más daño que Absalón; toma, pues, tú los siervos de tu señor, y ve tras él, no sea que halle para sí ciudades fortificadas, y nos cause dificultad. | 6 Da sprach David zu Abischai: Nun wird uns Scheba, der Sohn Bichris, mehr Schaden tun als Absalom. Nimm du die Männer deines Herrn und jage ihm nach, damit er nicht etwa für sich feste Städte gewinne und entreiße sie vor unsern Augen. |

And there went out after him Joab's men, and the Cherethites, and the Pelethites, and all the mighty men: and they went out of Jerusalem, to pursue after Sheba the son of Bichri.
| 7 Entonces salieron en pos de él los hombres de Joab, y los cereteos y peleteos y todos los valientes; salieron de Jerusalén para ir tras Seba hijo de Bicri. | 7 Da zogen die Männer Joabs aus und folgten Abischai, dazu die Kreter und Pleter und alle Helden. Sie zogen aber aus von Jerusalem, um Scheba, dem Sohn Bichris, nachzujagen. |

When they were at the great stone which is in Gibeon, Amasa went before them. And Joab's garment that he had put on was girded unto him, and upon it a girdle with a sword fastened upon his loins in the sheath thereof; and as he went forth it fell out.
| 8 Y estando ellos cerca de la piedra grande que está en Gabaón, les salió Amasa al encuentro. Y Joab estaba ceñido de su ropa, y sobre ella tenía pegado a sus lomos el cinto con una daga en su vaina, la cual se le cayó cuando él avanzó. | 8 Als sie aber bei dem großen Stein bei Gibeon waren, war Amasa vor ihnen angekommen. Joab aber trug einen Waffenrock und darüber einen Gürtel mit einem Dolch; der war befestigt an seiner Hüfte in der Scheide, und wenn diese heraustrat, entfiel ihr der Dolch. |

And Joab said to Amasa, Art thou in health, my brother? And Joab took Amasa by the beard with the right hand to kiss him.
| 9 Entonces Joab dijo a Amasa: ¿Te va bien, hermano mío? Y tomó Joab con la diestra la barba de Amasa, para besarlo. | 9 Und Joab sprach zu Amasa: Friede mit dir, mein Bruder! Und Joab faßte mit seiner rechten Hand Amasa bei dem Bart, um ihn zu küssen. |

But Amasa took no heed to the sword that was in Joab's hand: so he smote him therewith in the fifth rib, and shed out his bowels to the ground, and struck him not again; and he died. So Joab and Abishai his brother pursued after Sheba the son of Bichri.
| 10 Y Amasa no se cuidó de la daga que estaba en la mano de Joab; y éste le hirió con ella en la quinta costilla, y derramó sus entrañas por tierra, y cayó muerto sin darle un segundo golpe.
Después Joab y su hermano Abisai fueron en persecución de Seba hijo de Bicri. | 10 Und Amasa hatte nicht acht auf den Dolch in der linken Hand Joabs. Der stach ihn damit in den Bauch, so daß seine Eingeweide auf die Erde fielen, und gab ihm keinen Stich mehr, und er starb. Joab aber und sein Bruder Abischai jagten Scheba, dem Sohn Bichris, nach. |

And one of Joab's men stood by him, and said, He that favoureth Joab, and he that is for David, let him go after Joab.
| 11 Y uno de los hombres de Joab se paró junto a él, diciendo: Cualquiera que ame a Joab y a David, vaya en pos de Joab. | 11 Und es trat ein Mann von den Leuten Joabs neben ihn und rief: Wer's mit Joab hält und für David ist, der folge Joab nach! |

And Amasa wallowed in blood in the midst of the highway. And when the man saw that all the people stood still, he removed Amasa out of the highway into the field, and cast a cloth upon him, when he saw that every one that came by him stood still.
| 12 Y Amasa yacía revolcándose en su sangre en mitad del camino; y todo el que pasaba, al verle, se detenía; y viendo aquel hombre que todo el pueblo se paraba, apartó a Amasa del camino al campo, y echó sobre él una vestidura. | 12 Amasa aber lag in seinem Blut mitten auf der Straße. Als aber der Mann sah, daß alles Volk da stehen blieb, wälzte er Amasa von der Straße auf den Acker und warf Kleider auf ihn, weil er sah, daß jeder stehen blieb, der an ihm vorbeikam. |

When he was removed out of the highway, all the people went on after Joab, to pursue after Sheba the son of Bichri.
| 13 Luego que fue apartado del camino, pasaron todos los que seguían a Joab, para ir tras Seba hijo de Bicri. | 13 Als er nun von der Straße weggeschafft war, folgte jedermann Joab nach, um Scheba, dem Sohn Bichris, nachzujagen. |

And he went through all the tribes of Israel unto Abel, and to Beth-maachah, and all the Berites: and they were gathered together, and went also after him.
| 14 Y él pasó por todas las tribus de Israel hasta Abel-bet-maaca y todo Barim; y se juntaron, y lo siguieron también. | 14 Und der zog durch alle Stämme Israels bis Abel-Bet-Maacha, und es versammelten sich alle Bichriter und folgten ihm nach. |

And they came and besieged him in Abel of Beth-maachah, and they cast up a bank against the city, and it stood in the trench: and all the people that were with Joab battered the wall, to throw it down.
| 15 Y vinieron y lo sitiaron en Abel-bet-maaca, y pusieron baluarte contra la ciudad, y quedó sitiada; y todo el pueblo que estaba con Joab trabajaba por derribar la muralla. | 15 Aber die Leute Joabs kamen und belagerten ihn in Abel-Bet-Maacha und schütteten einen Wall gegen die Stadt auf, daß er bis an die Vormauer reichte, und stürmten und wollten die Mauer niederwerfen. |

Then cried a wise woman out of the city, Hear, hear; say, I pray you, unto Joab, Come near hither, that I may speak with thee.
| 16 Entonces una mujer sabia dio voces en la ciudad, diciendo: Oíd, oíd; os ruego que digáis a Joab que venga acá, para que yo hable con él. | 16 Da rief eine kluge Frau aus der Stadt: Hört her! Hört her! Sprecht zu Joab: Komm hierher, ich will mit dir reden. |

And when he was come near unto her, the woman said, Art thou Joab? And he answered, I am he. Then she said unto him, Hear the words of thine handmaid. And he answered, I do hear.
| 17 Cuando él se acercó a ella, dijo la mujer: ¿Eres tú Joab? Y él respondió: Yo soy. Ella le dijo: Oye las palabras de tu sierva. Y él respondió: Oigo. | 17 Und als er zu ihr kam, sprach die Frau: Bist du Joab? Er sprach: Ja. Sie sprach zu ihm: Höre die Rede deiner Magd. Er sprach: Ich höre. |

Then she spake, saying, They were wont to speak in old time, saying, They shall surely ask counsel at Abel: and so they ended the matter.
| 18 Entonces volvió ella a hablar, diciendo: Antiguamente solían decir: Quien preguntare, pregunte en Abel; y así concluían cualquier asunto. | 18 Sie sprach: Vorzeiten sagte man: Man frage doch nach in Abel und in Dan, so geht es gut aus; |

I am one of them that are peaceable and faithful in Israel: thou seekest to destroy a city and a mother in Israel: why wilt thou swallow up the inheritance of the LORD?
| 19 Yo soy de las pacíficas y fieles de Israel; pero tú procuras destruir una ciudad que es madre en Israel. ¿Por qué destruyes la heredad de Jehová? | 19 ich bin eine von den friedsamen und treuen Städten in Israel, und du willst eine Stadt und Mutter in Israel zugrunde richten? Warum willst du das Erbteil des HERRN verderben? |

And Joab answered and said, Far be it, far be it from me, that I should swallow up or destroy.
| 20 Joab respondió diciendo: Nunca tal, nunca tal me acontezca, que yo destruya ni deshaga. | 20 Joab antwortete: Das sei ferne, das sei ferne von mir, daß ich verderben und vernichten will! So steht es nicht! |

The matter is not so: but a man of mount Ephraim, Sheba the son of Bichri by name, hath lifted up his hand against the king, even against David: deliver him only, and I will depart from the city. And the woman said unto Joab, Behold, his head shall be thrown to thee over the wall.
| 21 La cosa no es así: mas un hombre del monte de Efraín, que se llama Seba hijo de Bicri, ha levantado su mano contra el rey David; entregad a ése solamente, y me iré de la ciudad. Y la mujer dijo a Joab: He aquí su cabeza te será arrojada desde el muro. | 21 Sondern ein Mann vom Gebirge Ephraim mit Namen Scheba, der Sohn Bichris, hat sich empört gegen den König David. Gebt ihn allein heraus, so will ich von der Stadt abziehen. Die Frau sprach zu Joab: Siehe, sein Kopf soll zu dir über die Mauer geworfen werden. |

Then the woman went unto all the people in her wisdom. And they cut off the head of Sheba the son of Bichri, and cast it out to Joab. And he blew a trumpet, and they retired from the city, every man to his tent. And Joab returned to Jerusalem unto the king.
| 22 La mujer fue luego a todo el pueblo con su sabiduría; y ellos cortaron la cabeza a Seba hijo de Bicri, y se la arrojaron a Joab. Y él tocó la trompeta, y se retiraron de la ciudad, cada uno a su tienda. Y Joab se volvió al rey a Jerusalén. | 22 Und die Frau beredete das ganze Volk mit ihrer Klugheit. Und sie hieben Scheba, dem Sohn Bichris, den Kopf ab und warfen ihn zu Joab hinaus. Da blies er die Posaune, und sie zogen ab von der Stadt und zerstreuten sich, ein jeder in sein Zelt. Joab aber kam zurück nach Jerusalem zum König. |

Now Joab was over all the host of Israel: and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the Cherethites and over the Pelethites:
| 23 Así quedó Joab sobre todo el ejército de Israel, y Benaía hijo de Joiada sobre los cereteos y peleteos, | 23 Joab aber war über das ganze Heer Israels gesetzt, Benaja, der Sohn Jojadas, über die Kreter und Pleter. |

And Adoram was over the tribute: and Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud was recorder:
| 24 y Adoram sobre los tributos, y Josafat hijo de Ahilud era el cronista. | 24 Hadoram war über die Fronarbeiter gesetzt. Joschafat, der Sohn Ahiluds, war Kanzler. |

And Sheva was scribe: and Zadok and Abiathar were the priests:
| 25 Seva era escriba, y Sadoc y Abiatar, sacerdotes, | 25 Schewa war Schreiber, Zadok und Abjatar waren Priester. |

And Ira also the Jairite was a chief ruler about David. | 26 e Ira jaireo fue también sacerdote de David. | 26 Auch Ira, der Jaïriter, war Davids Priester. |
