And it came to pass after this, that Absalom prepared him chariots and horses, and fifty men to run before him.

And Absalom rose up early, and stood beside the way of the gate: and it was so, that when any man that had a controversy came to the king for judgment, then Absalom called unto him, and said, Of what city art thou? And he said, Thy servant is of one of the tribes of Israel.

And Absalom said unto him, See, thy matters are good and right; but there is no man deputed of the king to hear thee.
| 3 Entonces Absalón le decía: Mira, tus palabras son buenas y justas; mas no tienes quien te oiga de parte del rey. | 3 so sprach Absalom zu ihm: Siehe, deine Sache ist gut und recht; aber du hast keinen beim König, der dich hört. |

Absalom said moreover, Oh that I were made judge in the land, that every man which hath any suit or cause might come unto me, and I would do him justice!
| 4 Y decía Absalón: ¡Quién me pusiera por juez en la tierra, para que viniesen a mí todos los que tienen pleito o negocio, que yo les haría justicia! | 4 Und Absalom sprach: Oh, wer setzt mich zum Richter im Lande, daß jedermann zu mir käme, der eine Sache und Gerichtshandel hat, damit ich ihm zum Recht hülfe! |

And it was so, that when any man came nigh to him to do him obeisance, he put forth his hand, and took him, and kissed him.
| 5 Y acontecía que cuando alguno se acercaba para inclinarse a él, él extendía la mano y lo tomaba, y lo besaba. | 5 Und wenn jemand ihm nahte und vor ihm niederfallen wollte, so streckte er seine Hand aus und ergriff ihn und küßte ihn. |

And on this manner did Absalom to all Israel that came to the king for judgment: so Absalom stole the hearts of the men of Israel.
| 6 De esta manera hacía con todos los israelitas que venían al rey a juicio; y así robaba Absalón el corazón de los de Israel. | 6 Auf diese Weise tat Absalom mit ganz Israel, wenn sie vor Gericht kamen zum König. So stahl Absalom das Herz der Männer Israels. |

And it came to pass after forty years, that Absalom said unto the king, I pray thee, let me go and pay my vow, which I have vowed unto the LORD, in Hebron.
| 7 Al cabo de cuatro años, aconteció que Absalón dijo al rey: Yo te ruego me permitas que vaya a Hebrón, a pagar mi voto que he prometido a Jehová. | 7 Nach vier Jahren sprach Absalom zum König: Ich will hingehen und mein Gelübde in Hebron erfüllen, das ich dem HERRN gelobt habe. |

For thy servant vowed a vow while I abode at Geshur in Syria, saying, If the LORD shall bring me again indeed to Jerusalem, then I will serve the LORD.
| 8 Porque tu siervo hizo voto cuando estaba en Gesur en Siria, diciendo: Si Jehová me hiciere volver a Jerusalén, yo serviré a Jehová. | 8 Denn dein Knecht hat ein Gelübde getan, als ich in Geschur in Aram wohnte, und gesprochen: Wenn mich der HERR nach Jerusalem zurückbringt, so will ich dem HERRN einen Gottesdienst halten. |

And the king said unto him, Go in peace. So he arose, and went to Hebron.
| 9 Y el rey le dijo: Ve en paz. Y él se levantó, y fue a Hebrón. | 9 Der König sprach zu ihm: Geh hin mit Frieden! Und er machte sich auf und ging nach Hebron. |

But Absalom sent spies throughout all the tribes of Israel, saying, As soon as ye hear the sound of the trumpet, then ye shall say, Absalom reigneth in Hebron.
| 10 Entonces envió Absalón mensajeros por todas las tribus de Israel, diciendo: Cuando oigáis el sonido de la trompeta diréis: Absalón reina en Hebrón. | 10 Absalom aber hatte heimlich Boten ausgesandt in alle Stämme Israels und sagen lassen: Wenn ihr den Schall der Posaune hört, so ruft: Absalom ist König geworden zu Hebron. |

And with Absalom went two hundred men out of Jerusalem, that were called; and they went in their simplicity, and they knew not any thing.

And Absalom sent for Ahithophel the Gilonite, David's aBI-EzRITES, from his city, even from Giloh, while he offered sacrifices. And the conspiracy was strong; for the people increased continually with Absalom.
| 12 Y mientras Absalón ofrecía los sacrificios, llamó a Ahitofel gilonita, consejero de David, de su ciudad de Gilo. Y la conspiración se hizo poderosa, y aumentaba el pueblo que seguía a Absalón. | 12 Als aber Absalom die Opfer darbrachte, sandte er auch zu Ahitofel, dem Giloniter, Davids Ratgeber, und ließ ihn holen aus seiner Stadt Gilo. Und die Verschwörung wurde stark, und es sammelte sich immer mehr Volk um Absalom. |

And there came a messenger to David, saying, The hearts of the men of Israel are after Absalom.
| 13 Y un mensajero vino a David, diciendo: El corazón de todo Israel se va tras Absalón. | 13 Da kam einer, der sagte es David an und sprach: Jedermanns Herz in Israel hat sich Absalom zugewandt. |

And David said unto all his servants that were with him at Jerusalem, Arise, and let us flee; for we shall not else escape from Absalom: make speed to depart, lest he overtake us suddenly, and bring evil upon us, and smite the city with the edge of the sword.
| 14 Entonces David dijo a todos sus siervos que estaban con él en Jerusalén: Levantaos y huyamos, porque no podremos escapar delante de Absalón; daos prisa a partir, no sea que apresurándose él nos alcance, y arroje el mal sobre nosotros, y hiera la ciudad a filo de espada. | 14 David aber sprach zu allen seinen Großen, die bei ihm in Jerusalem waren: Auf, laßt uns fliehen! Denn hier wird kein Entrinnen sein vor Absalom. Eilt, daß wir gehen, damit er uns nicht einholt und uns ergreift und Unheil über uns bringt und die Stadt schlägt mit der Schärfe des Schwerts. |

And the king's servants said unto the king, Behold, thy servants are ready to do whatsoever my lord the king shall appoint.
| 15 Y los siervos del rey dijeron al rey: He aquí, tus siervos están listos a todo lo que nuestro señor el rey decida. | 15 Da sprachen die Großen des Königs zu ihm: Ganz wie unser Herr und König will; siehe, wir sind deine Knechte. |

And the king went forth, and all his household after him. And the king left ten women, which were concubines, to keep the house.
| 16 El rey entonces salió, con toda su familia en pos de él. Y dejó el rey diez mujeres concubinas, para que guardasen la casa. | 16 Und der König zog hinaus und sein ganzes Haus ihm nach. Der König aber ließ zehn Nebenfrauen zurück, um das Haus zu bewahren. |

And the king went forth, and all the people after him, and tarried in a place that was far off.
| 17 Salió, pues, el rey con todo el pueblo que le seguía, y se detuvieron en un lugar distante. | 17 Und als der König und alles Volk, das ihm nachfolgte, hinauskamen, blieben sie stehen beim letzten Hause. |

And all his servants passed on beside him; and all the Cherethites, and all the Pelethites, and all the Gittites, six hundred men which came after him from Gath, passed on before the king.
| 18 Y todos sus siervos pasaban a su lado, con todos los cereteos y peleteos; y todos los geteos, seiscientos hombres que habían venido a pie desde Gat, iban delante del rey. | 18 Und alle seine Großen blieben an seiner Seite; aber alle Kreter und Pleter, auch alle Gatiter, sechshundert Mann, die von Gat ihm nachgefolgt waren, zogen an dem König vorüber. |

Then said the king to Ittai the Gittite, Wherefore goest thou also with us? return to thy place, and abide with the king: for thou art a stranger, and also an exile.
| 19 Y dijo el rey a Itai geteo: ¿Para qué vienes tú también con nosotros? Vuélvete y quédate con el rey; porque tú eres extranjero, y desterrado también de tu lugar. | 19 Und der König sprach zu Ittai, dem Gatiter: Warum gehst auch du mit uns? Kehre um und bleibe bei dem neuen König, denn du bist ein Ausländer und von deiner Heimat hierher gezogen. |

Whereas thou camest but yesterday, should I this day make thee go up and down with us? seeing I go whither I may, return thou, and take back thy brethren: mercy and truth be with thee.
| 20 Ayer viniste, ¿y he de hacer hoy que te muevas para ir con nosotros? En cuanto a mí, yo iré a donde pueda ir; tú vuélvete, y haz volver a tus hermanos; y Jehová te muestre amor permanente y fidelidad. | 20 Gestern bist du gekommen, und heute sollte ich dich mit uns hin- und herziehen lassen? Denn ich muß gehen, wohin ich gehen kann. Kehre um und nimm deine Brüder mit dir; dir widerfahre Barmherzigkeit und Treue. |

And Ittai answered the king, and said, As the LORD liveth, and as my lord the king liveth, surely in what place my lord the king shall be, whether in death or life, even there also will thy servant be.
| 21 Y respondió Itai al rey, diciendo: Vive Dios, y vive mi señor el rey, que o para muerte o para vida, donde mi señor el rey estuviere, allí estará también tu siervo. | 21 Ittai antwortete dem König und sprach: So wahr der HERR lebt, und so wahr mein Herr und König lebt: wo immer mein Herr, der König, ist, es gerate zum Tod oder zum Leben, da wird dein Knecht auch sein. |

And David said to Ittai, Go and pass over. And Ittai the Gittite passed over, and all his men, and all the little ones that were with him.
| 22 Entonces David dijo a Itai: Ven, pues, y pasa. Y pasó Itai geteo, y todos sus hombres, y toda su familia. | 22 David sprach zu Ittai: So komm und zieh vorüber! Da zog Ittai, der Gatiter, vorüber, und alle seine Männer und der ganze Haufe von Frauen und Kindern, die bei ihm waren. |

And all the country wept with a loud voice, and all the people passed over: the king also himself passed over the brook Kidron, and all the people passed over, toward the way of the wilderness.
| 23 Y todo el país lloró en alta voz; pasó luego toda la gente el torrente de Cedrón; asimismo pasó el rey, y todo el pueblo pasó al camino que va al desierto. | 23 Und das ganze Land weinte mit lauter Stimme, während das ganze Kriegsvolk vorüberzog. Und der König ging über den Bach Kidron, und das ganze Kriegsvolk zog weiter auf dem Wege, der zur Wüste geht. |

And lo Zadok also, and all the Levites were with him, bearing the ark of the covenant of God: and they set down the ark of God; and Abiathar went up, until all the people had done passing out of the city.
| 24 Y he aquí, también iba Sadoc, y con él todos los levitas que llevaban el arca del pacto de Dios; y asentaron el arca del pacto de Dios. Y subió Abiatar después que todo el pueblo hubo acabado de salir de la ciudad. | 24 Und siehe, Zadok war auch da und alle Leviten, die bei ihm waren, und sie trugen die Lade des Bundes Gottes und stellten sie nieder. Und Abjatar brachte Opfer dar, bis das ganze Kriegsvolk aus der Stadt vorübergezogen war. |

And the king said unto Zadok, Carry back the ark of God into the city: if I shall find favour in the eyes of the LORD, he will bring me again, and shew me both it, and his habitation:
| 25 Pero dijo el rey a Sadoc: Vuelve el arca de Dios a la ciudad. Si yo hallare gracia ante los ojos de Jehová, él hará que vuelva, y me dejará verla y a su tabernáculo. | 25 Aber der König sprach zu Zadok: Bringe die Lade Gottes in die Stadt zurück. Werde ich Gnade finden vor dem HERRN, so wird er mich zurückbringen, daß ich sie und ihre Stätte wiedersehe. |

But if he thus say, I have no delight in thee; behold, here am I, let him do to me as seemeth good unto him.
| 26 Y si dijere: No me complazco en ti; aquí estoy, haga de mí lo que bien le pareciere. | 26 Spricht er aber: Ich habe kein Wohlgefallen an dir - siehe, hier bin ich. Er mach's mit mir, wie es ihm wohlgefällt. |

The king said also unto Zadok the priest, Art not thou a seer? return into the city in peace, and your two sons with you, Ahimaaz thy son, and Jonathan the son of Abiathar.
| 27 Dijo además el rey al sacerdote Sadoc: ¿No eres tú el vidente? Vuelve en paz a la ciudad, y con vosotros vuestros dos hijos; Ahimaas tu hijo, y Jonatán hijo de Abiatar. | 27 Und der König sprach zu dem Priester Zadok: Wohlan, du und Abjatar, kehrt zurück in die Stadt mit Frieden und mit euch eure beiden Söhne, Ahimaaz, dein Sohn, und Jonatan, der Sohn Abjatars! |

See, I will tarry in the plain of the wilderness, until there come word from you to certify me.
| 28 Mirad, yo me detendré en los vados del desierto, hasta que venga respuesta de vosotros que me dé aviso. | 28 Siehe, ich will warten bei den Furten in der Wüste, bis von euch Botschaft zu mir kommt. |

Zadok therefore and Abiathar carried the ark of God again to Jerusalem: and they tarried there.
| 29 Entonces Sadoc y Abiatar volvieron el arca de Dios a Jerusalén, y se quedaron allá. | 29 So brachten Zadok und Abjatar die Lade Gottes zurück nach Jerusalem und blieben dort. |

And David went up by the ascent of mount Olivet, and wept as he went up, and had his head covered, and he went barefoot: and all the people that was with him covered every man his head, and they went up, weeping as they went up.
| 30 Y David subió la cuesta de los Olivos; y la subió llorando, llevando la cabeza cubierta y los pies descalzos. También todo el pueblo que tenía consigo cubrió cada uno su cabeza, e iban llorando mientras subían. | 30 David aber ging den Ölberg hinan und weinte, und sein Haupt war verhüllt, und er ging barfuß. Auch alle vom Volk, die bei ihm waren, hatten ihr Haupt verhüllt und gingen hinan und weinten. |

And one told David, saying, Ahithophel is among the conspirators with Absalom. And David said, O LORD, I pray thee, turn the counsel of Ahithophel into foolishness.
| 31 Y dieron aviso a David, diciendo: Ahitofel está entre los que conspiraron con Absalón. Entonces dijo David: Entorpece ahora, oh Jehová, el consejo de Ahitofel. | 31 Und als David gesagt wurde, daß Ahitofel im Bund mit Absalom sei, sprach er: HERR, mache den Ratschlag Ahitofels zur Torheit! |

And it came to pass, that when David was come to the top of the mount, where he worshipped God, behold, Hushai the Archite came to meet him with his coat rent, and earth upon his head:
| 32 Cuando David llegó a la cumbre del monte para adorar allí a Dios, he aquí Husai arquita que le salió al encuentro, rasgados sus vestidos, y tierra sobre su cabeza. | 32 Und als David auf die Höhe kam, wo man Gott anzubeten pflegte, siehe, da begegnete ihm Huschai, der Arkiter, mit zerrissenem Rock und Erde auf seinem Haupt. |

Unto whom David said, If thou passest on with me, then thou shalt be a burden unto me:
| 33 Y le dijo David: Si pasares conmigo, me serás carga. | 33 Und David sprach zu ihm: Wenn du mit mir gehst, wirst du mir eine Last sein. |

But if thou return to the city, and say unto Absalom, I will be thy servant, O king; as I have been thy father's servant hitherto, so will I now also be thy servant: then mayest thou for me defeat the counsel of Ahithophel.
| 34 Mas si volvieres a la ciudad, y dijeres a Absalón: Rey, yo seré tu siervo; como hasta aquí he sido siervo de tu padre, así seré ahora siervo tuyo; entonces tú harás nulo el consejo de Ahitofel. | 34 Wenn du aber in die Stadt zurückkehrst und zu Absalom sprichst: Ich will dein Knecht sein, König; wie ich zuvor deines Vaters Knecht war, will ich nun dein Knecht sein -, so könntest du mir zugut den Ratschlag Ahitofels zunichte machen. |

And hast thou not there with thee Zadok and Abiathar the priests? therefore it shall be, that what thing soever thou shalt hear out of the king's house, thou shalt tell it to Zadok and Abiathar the priests.
| 35 ¿No estarán allí contigo los sacerdotes Sadoc y Abiatar? Por tanto, todo lo que oyeres en la casa del rey, se lo comunicarás a los sacerdotes Sadoc y Abiatar. | 35 Auch sind die Priester Zadok und Abjatar mit dir. Alles, was du hörst aus des Königs Hause, sollst du den Priestern Zadok und Abjatar sagen. |

Behold, they have there with them their two sons, Ahimaaz Zadok's son, and Jonathan Abiathar's son; and by them ye shall send unto me every thing that ye can hear.
| 36 Y he aquí que están con ellos sus dos hijos, Ahimaas el de Sadoc y Jonatán el de Abiatar; por medio de ellos me enviaréis aviso de todo lo que oyereis. | 36 Siehe, es sind bei ihnen ihre beiden Söhne: Ahimaaz, Zadoks Sohn, und Jonatan, Abjatars Sohn. Durch die könnt ihr mir alles zukommen lassen, was ihr hören werdet. |

So Hushai David's friend came into the city, and Absalom came into Jerusalem. | 37 Así vino Husai amigo de David a la ciudad; y Absalón entró en Jerusalén. | 37 So kam Huschai, der Freund Davids, in die Stadt. Und Absalom zog in Jerusalem ein. |
