And it came to pass after this, that Absalom the son of David had a fair sister, whose name was Tamar; and Amnon the son of David loved her.
| 1 Aconteció después de esto, que teniendo Absalón hijo de David una hermana hermosa que se llamaba Tamar, se enamoró de ella Amnón hijo de David. | 1 Und es begab sich danach: Absalom, der Sohn Davids, hatte eine schöne Schwester, die Tamar hieß; und Amnon, der Sohn Davids, gewann sie lieb. |

And Amnon was so vexed, that he fell sick for his sister Tamar; for she was a virgin; and Amnon thought it hard for him to do any thing to her.
| 2 Y estaba Amnón angustiado hasta enfermarse por Tamar su hermana, pues por ser ella virgen, le parecía a Amnón que sería difícil hacerle cosa alguna. | 2 Und Amnon grämte sich, so daß er fast krank wurde, um seiner Schwester Tamar willen; denn sie war eine Jungfrau, und es schien Amnon unmöglich zu sein, ihr etwas anzutun. |

But Amnon had a friend, whose name was Jonadab, the son of Shimeah David's brother: and Jonadab was a very subtil man.
| 3 Y Amnón tenía un amigo que se llamaba Jonadab, hijo de Simea, hermano de David; y Jonadab era hombre muy astuto. | 3 Amnon aber hatte einen Freund, der hieß Jonadab, ein Sohn von Davids Bruder Schamma, und dieser Jonadab war ein sehr erfahrener Mann. |

And he said unto him, Why art thou, being the king's son, lean from day to day? wilt thou not tell me? And Amnon said unto him, I love Tamar, my brother Absalom's sister.
| 4 Y éste le dijo: Hijo del rey, ¿por qué de día en día vas enflaqueciendo así? ¿No me lo descubrirás a mí? Y Amnón le respondió: Yo amo a Tamar la hermana de Absalón mi hermano. | 4 Der sprach zu ihm: Warum wirst du so mager von Tag zu Tag, du Königssohn? Willst du mir's nicht sagen? Da sprach Amnon zu ihm: Ich habe Tamar, die Schwester meines Bruders Absalom, lieb gewonnen. |

And Jonadab said unto him, Lay thee down on thy bed, and make thyself sick: and when thy father cometh to see thee, say unto him, I pray thee, let my sister Tamar come, and give me meat, and dress the meat in my sight, that I may see it, and eat it at her hand.
| 5 Y Jonadab le dijo: Acuéstate en tu cama, y finge que estás enfermo; y cuando tu padre viniere a visitarte, dile: Te ruego que venga mi hermana Tamar, para que me dé de comer, y prepare delante de mí alguna vianda, para que al verla yo la coma de su mano. | 5 Jonadab sprach zu ihm: Lege dich auf dein Bett und stelle dich krank. Wenn dann dein Vater kommt, dich zu besuchen, so sprich zu ihm: Laß doch meine Schwester Tamar kommen, damit sie mir Krankenkost gebe und vor meinen Augen das Essen bereite, daß ich zusehe und von ihrer Hand nehme und esse. |

So Amnon lay down, and made himself sick: and when the king was come to see him, Amnon said unto the king, I pray thee, let Tamar my sister come, and make me a couple of cakes in my sight, that I may eat at her hand.
| 6 Se acostó, pues, Amnón, y fingió que estaba enfermo; y vino el rey a visitarle. Y dijo Amnón al rey: Yo te ruego que venga mi hermana Tamar, y haga delante de mí dos hojuelas, para que coma yo de su mano. | 6 So legte sich Amnon hin und stellte sich krank. Als nun der König kam, ihn zu besuchen, sprach Amnon zum König: Laß doch meine Schwester Tamar kommen, daß sie vor meinen Augen einen Kuchen oder zwei mache und ich von ihrer Hand nehme und esse. |

Then David sent home to Tamar, saying, Go now to thy brother Amnon's house, and dress him meat.
| 7 Y David envió a Tamar a su casa, diciendo: Ve ahora a casa de Amnón tu hermano, y hazle de comer. | 7 Da sandte David zu Tamar ins Haus und ließ ihr sagen: Geh hin ins Haus deines Bruders Amnon und mache ihm eine Krankenspeise. |

So Tamar went to her brother Amnon's house; and he was laid down. And she took flour, and kneaded it, and made cakes in his sight, and did bake the cakes.
| 8 Y fue Tamar a casa de su hermano Amnón, el cual estaba acostado; y tomó harina, y amasó, e hizo hojuelas delante de él y las coció. | 8 Tamar ging hin ins Haus ihres Bruders Amnon; er aber lag zu Bett. Und sie nahm den Teig und knetete ihn und bereitete ihn vor seinen Augen und backte die Kuchen. |

And she took a pan, and poured them out before him; but he refused to eat. And Amnon said, Have out all men from me. And they went out every man from him.
| 9 Tomó luego la sartén, y las sacó delante de él; mas él no quiso comer. Y dijo Amnón: Echad fuera de aquí a todos. Y todos salieron de allí. | 9 Und sie nahm die Pfanne und schüttete sie vor ihm aus; aber er weigerte sich zu essen. Und Amnon sprach: Laßt jedermann von mir hinausgehen. And Amnon said unto Tamar, Bring the meat into the chamber, that I may eat of thine hand. And Tamar took the cakes which she had made, and brought them into the chamber to Amnon her brother.
| 10 Entonces Amnón dijo a Tamar: Trae la comida a la alcoba, para que yo coma de tu mano. Y tomando Tamar las hojuelas que había preparado, las llevó a su hermano Amnón a la alcoba. | 10 Da sprach Amnon zu Tamar: Bringe die Krankenspeise in die Kammer, damit ich von deiner Hand nehme und esse. Da nahm Tamar die Kuchen, die sie gemacht hatte, und brachte sie zu Amnon, ihrem Bruder, in die Kammer. |

And when she had brought them unto him to eat, he took hold of her, and said unto her, Come lie with me, my sister.
| 11 Y cuando ella se las puso delante para que comiese, asió de ella, y le dijo: Ven, hermana mía, acuéstate conmigo. | 11 Und als sie diese zu ihm brachte, damit er esse, ergriff er Tamar und sprach zu ihr: Komm, meine Schwester, lege dich zu mir! |

And she answered him, Nay, my brother, do not force me; for no such thing ought to be done in Israel: do not thou this folly.
| 12 Ella entonces le respondió: No, hermano mío, no me hagas violencia; porque no se debe hacer así en Israel. No hagas tal vileza. | 12 Sie aber sprach zu ihm: Nicht doch, mein Bruder, schände mich nicht; denn so tut man nicht in Israel. Tu nicht solch eine Schandtat! |

And I, whither shall I cause my shame to go? and as for thee, thou shalt be as one of the fools in Israel. Now therefore, I pray thee, speak unto the king; for he will not withhold me from thee.
| 13 Porque ¿adónde iría yo con mi deshonra? Y aun tú serías estimado como uno de los perversos en Israel. Te ruego pues, ahora, que hables al rey, que él no me negará a ti. | 13 Wo soll ich mit meiner Schande hin? Und du wirst in Israel sein wie ein Ruchloser. Howbeit he would not hearken unto her voice: but, being stronger than she, forced her, and lay with her.

Then Amnon hated her exceedingly; so that the hatred wherewith he hated her was greater than the love wherewith he had loved her. And Amnon said unto her, Arise, be gone.

And she said unto him, There is no cause: this evil in sending me away is greater than the other that thou didst unto me. But he would not hearken unto her.
| 16 Y ella le respondió: No hay razón; mayor mal es este de arrojarme, que el que me has hecho. Mas él no la quiso oír, | 16 Sie aber sprach zu ihm: Daß du mich von dir stößt, dies Unrecht ist größer als das andere, das du an mir getan hast. Aber er wollte nicht auf sie hören, |

Then he called his servant that ministered unto him, and said, Put now this woman out from me, and bolt the door after her.
| 17 sino que llamando a su criado que le servía, le dijo: Echame a ésta fuera de aquí, y cierra tras ella la puerta. | 17 sondern rief seinen Diener, der ihm aufwartete, und sprach: Treibe diese von mir hinaus und schließ die Tür hinter ihr zu! |

And she had a garment of divers colours upon her: for with such robes were the king's daughters that were virgins apparelled. Then his servant brought her out, and bolted the door after her.
| 18 Y llevaba ella un vestido de diversos colores, traje que vestían las hijas vírgenes de los reyes. Su criado, pues, la echó fuera, y cerró la puerta tras ella. | 18 Und sie hatte ein Ärmelkleid an; denn solche Kleider trugen des Königs Töchter, solange sie Jungfrauen waren. Und als sein Diener sie hinausgetrieben und die Tür hinter ihr zugeschlossen hatte, |

And Tamar put ashes on her head, and rent her garment of divers colours that was on her, and laid her hand on her head, and went on crying.
| 19 Entonces Tamar tomó ceniza y la esparció sobre su cabeza, y rasgó la ropa de colores de que estaba vestida, y puesta su mano sobre su cabeza, se fue gritando. | 19 warf Tamar Asche auf ihr Haupt und zerriß das Ärmelkleid, das sie anhatte, und legte ihre Hand auf das Haupt und ging laut schreiend davon. |

And Absalom her brother said unto her, Hath Amnon thy brother been with thee? but hold now thy peace, my sister: he is thy brother; regard not this thing. So Tamar remained desolate in her brother Absalom's house.
| 20 Y le dijo su hermano Absalón: ¿Ha estado contigo tu hermano Amnón? Pues calla ahora, hermana mía; tu hermano es; no se angustie tu corazón por esto. Y se quedó Tamar desconsolada en casa de Absalón su hermano. | 20 Und ihr Bruder Absalom sprach zu ihr: Ist dein Bruder Amnon bei dir gewesen? Nun, meine Schwester, schweig still; es ist dein Bruder, nimm dir die Sache nicht so zu Herzen. So blieb Tamar einsam im Hause ihres Bruders Absalom. |

But when king David heard of all these things, he was very wroth.
| 21 Y luego que el rey David oyó todo esto, se enojó mucho. | 21 Und als der König David dies alles hörte, wurde er sehr zornig. Aber er tat seinem Sohn Amnon nichts zuleide, denn er liebte ihn, weil er sein Erstgeborener war. Doch Absalom redete nicht mit Amnon, weder Böses noch Gutes. |

And Absalom spake unto his brother Amnon neither good nor bad: for Absalom hated Amnon, because he had forced his sister Tamar.
| 22 Mas Absalón no habló con Amnón ni malo ni bueno; aunque Absalón aborrecía a Amnón, porque había forzado a Tamar su hermana. | 22 Denn Absalom haßte Amnon, weil er seine Schwester Tamar geschändet hatte. |

And it came to pass after two full years, that Absalom had sheepshearers in Baal-hazor, which is beside Ephraim: and Absalom invited all the king's sons.

And Absalom came to the king, and said, Behold now, thy servant hath sheepshearers; let the king, I beseech thee, and his servants go with thy servant.
| 24 Y vino Absalón al rey, y dijo: He aquí, tu siervo tiene ahora esquiladores; yo ruego que venga el rey y sus siervos con tu siervo. | 24 und kam zum König und sprach: Siehe, dein Knecht hat Schafschur; der König und seine Großen mögen mit seinem Knecht hingehen. |

And the king said to Absalom, Nay, my son, let us not all now go, lest we be chargeable unto thee. And he pressed him: howbeit he would not go, but blessed him.
| 25 Y respondió el rey a Absalón: No, hijo mío, no vamos todos, para que no te seamos gravosos. Y aunque porfió con él, no quiso ir, mas le bendijo. | 25 Der König aber sprach zu Absalom: Nicht doch, mein Sohn, laß uns nicht alle gehen, damit wir dich nicht beschweren. Und obgleich er ihn nötigte, wollte er doch nicht hingehen, sondern entließ ihn mit seinem Segen. |

Then said Absalom, If not, I pray thee, let my brother Amnon go with us. And the king said unto him, Why should he go with thee?
| 26 Entonces dijo Absalón: Pues si no, te ruego que venga con nosotros Amnón mi hermano. Y el rey le respondió: ¿Para qué ha de ir contigo? | 26 Absalom sprach: Soll dann nicht mein Bruder Amnon mit uns gehen? Der König sprach zu ihm: Warum soll er mit dir gehen? |

But Absalom pressed him, that he let Amnon and all the king's sons go with him.
| 27 Pero como Absalón le importunaba, dejó ir con él a Amnón y a todos los hijos del rey. | 27 Da nötigte ihn Absalom, daß er Amnon und alle Söhne des Königs mit ihm gehen ließ. Und Absalom machte ein Mahl, wie wenn der König ein Mahl gibt. |

Now Absalom had commanded his servants, saying, Mark ye now when Amnon's heart is merry with wine, and when I say unto you, Smite Amnon; then kill him, fear not: have not I commanded you? be courageous, and be valiant.
| 28 Y Absalón había dado orden a sus criados, diciendo: Os ruego que miréis cuando el corazón de Amnón esté alegre por el vino; y al decir yo: Herid a Amnón, entonces matadle, y no temáis, pues yo os lo he mandado. Esforzaos, pues, y sed valientes. | 28 Absalom aber gebot seinen Leuten: Seht darauf, wenn Amnon guter Dinge wird vom Wein und ich zu euch spreche: Schlagt Amnon nieder!, so sollt ihr ihn töten. And the servants of Absalom did unto Amnon as Absalom had commanded. Then all the king's sons arose, and every man gat him up upon his mule, and fled.
| 29 Y los criados de Absalón hicieron con Amnón como Absalón les había mandado. Entonces se levantaron todos los hijos del rey, y montaron cada uno en su mula, y huyeron. | 29 So taten die Leute Absaloms mit Amnon, wie ihnen Absalom geboten hatte. Da sprangen alle Söhne des Königs auf, und jeder setzte sich auf sein Maultier, und sie flohen. |

And it came to pass, while they were in the way, that tidings came to David, saying, Absalom hath slain all the king's sons, and there is not one of them left.
| 30 Estando ellos aún en el camino, llegó a David el rumor que decía: Absalón ha dado muerte a todos los hijos del rey, y ninguno de ellos ha quedado. | 30 Und als sie noch auf dem Wege waren, kam das Gerücht vor David, Absalom habe alle Söhne des Königs erschlagen, daß nicht einer von ihnen übriggeblieben sei. |

Then the king arose, and tare his garments, and lay on the earth; and all his servants stood by with their clothes rent.
| 31 Entonces levantándose David, rasgó sus vestidos, y se echó en tierra, y todos sus criados que estaban junto a él también rasgaron sus vestidos. | 31 Da stand der König auf und zerriß seine Kleider und legte sich auf die Erde, und alle seine Großen, die um ihn her standen, zerrissen ihre Kleider. |

And Jonadab, the son of Shimeah David's brother, answered and said, Let not my lord suppose that they have slain all the young men the king's sons; for Amnon only is dead: for by the appointment of Absalom this hath been determined from the day that he forced his sister Tamar.
| 32 Pero Jonadab, hijo de Simea hermano de David, habló y dijo: No diga mi señor que han dado muerte a todos los jóvenes hijos del rey, pues sólo Amnón ha sido muerto; porque por mandato de Absalón esto había sido determinado desde el día en que Amnón forzó a Tamar su hermana. | 32 Da hob Jonadab, der Sohn Schammas, des Bruders Davids, an und sprach: Mein Herr denke nicht, daß alle jungen Männer, die Söhne des Königs, tot sind; sondern Amnon allein wird tot sein. Denn das hatte Absalom im Sinn von dem Tage an, da jener seine Schwester Tamar geschändet hatte. |

Now therefore let not my lord the king take the thing to his heart, to think that all the king's sons are dead: for Amnon only is dead.
| 33 Por tanto, ahora no ponga mi señor el rey en su corazón ese rumor que dice: Todos los hijos del rey han sido muertos; porque sólo Amnón ha sido muerto. | 33 So möge nun mein Herr, der König, nicht meinen, daß alle Söhne des Königs tot seien, sondern Amnon allein ist tot. |

But Absalom fled. And the young man that kept the watch lifted up his eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came much people by the way of the hill side behind him.
| 34 Y Absalón huyó. Entre tanto, alzando sus ojos el joven que estaba de atalaya, miró, y he aquí mucha gente que venía por el camino a sus espaldas, del lado del monte. | 34 Absalom aber floh. Und als der Knecht auf der Warte seine Augen aufhob und ausschaute, siehe, da war viel Volk auf dem Wege nach Horonajim, am Abhang. |

And Jonadab said unto the king, Behold, the king's sons come: as thy servant said, so it is.
| 35 Y dijo Jonadab al rey: He allí los hijos del rey que vienen; es así como tu siervo ha dicho. | 35 Da sprach Jonadab zum König: Siehe, die Söhne des Königs kommen; wie dein Knecht gesagt hat, so ist's ergangen. |

And it came to pass, as soon as he had made an end of speaking, that, behold, the king's sons came, and lifted up their voice and wept: and the king also and all his servants wept very sore.
| 36 Cuando él acabó de hablar, he aquí los hijos del rey que vinieron, y alzando su voz lloraron. Y también el mismo rey y todos sus siervos lloraron con muy grandes lamentos. | 36 Und nachdem er das gesagt hatte, siehe, da kamen die Söhne des Königs und erhoben ihre Stimme und weinten. Der König und alle seine Großen weinten auch gar sehr. |

But Absalom fled, and went to Talmai, the son of Ammihud, king of Geshur. And David mourned for his son every day.
| 37 Mas Absalón huyó y se fue a Talmai hijo de Amiud, rey de Gesur. Y David lloraba por su hijo todos los días. | 37 Absalom aber floh und ging zu Talmai, dem Sohn Ammihuds, dem König von Geschur. David aber trug Leid um seinen Sohn alle Tage. |

So Absalom fled, and went to Geshur, and was there three years.
| 38 Así huyó Absalón y se fue a Gesur, y estuvo allá tres años. | 38 Als aber Absalom geflohen und nach Geschur gezogen war, blieb er dort drei Jahre. |

And the soul of king David longed to go forth unto Absalom: for he was comforted concerning Amnon, seeing he was dead. | 39 Y el rey David deseaba ver a Absalón; pues ya estaba consolado acerca de Amnón, que había muerto. | 39 Und der König David hörte auf, Absalom zu grollen; denn er hatte sich getröstet über Amnon, daß er tot war. |
