Now Naaman, captain of the host of the king of Syria, was a great man with his master, and honourable, because by him the LORD had given deliverance unto Syria: he was also a mighty man in valour, but he was a leper.
| 1 Naamán, general del ejército del rey de Siria, era varón grande delante de su señor, y lo tenía en alta estima, porque por medio de él había dado Jehová salvación a Siria. Era este hombre valeroso en extremo, pero leproso. | 1 Naaman, der Feldhauptmann des Königs von Aram, war ein trefflicher Mann vor seinem Herrn und wert gehalten; denn durch ihn gab der HERR den Aramäern Sieg. Und er war ein gewaltiger Mann, jedoch aussätzig. |

And the Syrians had gone out by companies, and had brought away captive out of the land of Israel a little maid; and she waited on Naaman's wife.
| 2 Y de Siria habían salido bandas armadas, y habían llevado cautiva de la tierra de Israel a una muchacha, la cual servía a la mujer de Naamán. | 2 Aber die Kriegsleute der Aramäer waren ausgezogen und hatten ein junges Mädchen weggeführt aus dem Lande Israel; die war im Dienst der Frau Naamans. |

And she said unto her mistress, Would God my lord were with the prophet that is in Samaria! for he would recover him of his leprosy.
| 3 Esta dijo a su señora: Si rogase mi señor al profeta que está en Samaria, él lo sanaría de su lepra. | 3 Die sprach zu ihrer Herrin: Ach, daß mein Herr wäre bei dem Propheten in Samaria! Der könnte ihn von seinem Aussatz befreien. |

And one went in, and told his lord, saying, Thus and thus said the maid that is of the land of Israel.
| 4 Entrando Naamán a su señor, le relató diciendo: Así y así ha dicho una muchacha que es de la tierra de Israel. | 4 Da ging Naaman hinein zu seinem Herrn und sagte es ihm an und sprach: So und so hat das Mädchen aus dem Lande Israel geredet. |

And the king of Syria said, Go to, go, and I will send a letter unto the king of Israel. And he departed, and took with him ten talents of silver, and six thousand pieces of gold, and ten changes of raiment.
| 5 Y le dijo el rey de Siria: Anda, ve, y yo enviaré cartas al rey de Israel.
Salió, pues, él, llevando consigo diez talentos de plata, y seis mil piezas de oro, y diez mudas de vestidos. | 5 Der König von Aram sprach: So zieh hin, ich will dem König von Israel einen Brief schreiben. Und er zog hin und nahm mit sich zehn Zentner Silber und sechstausend Goldgulden und zehn Feierkleider |

And he brought the letter to the king of Israel, saying, Now when this letter is come unto thee, behold, I have therewith sent Naaman my servant to thee, that thou mayest recover him of his leprosy.
| 6 Tomó también cartas para el rey de Israel, que decían así: Cuando lleguen a ti estas cartas, sabe por ellas que yo envío a ti mi siervo Naamán, para que lo sanes de su lepra. | 6 und brachte den Brief dem König von Israel; der lautete: Wenn dieser Brief zu dir kommt, siehe, so wisse, ich habe meinen Knecht Naaman zu dir gesandt, damit du ihn von seinem Aussatz befreist. |

And it came to pass, when the king of Israel had read the letter, that he rent his clothes, and said, Am I God, to kill and to make alive, that this man doth send unto me to recover a man of his leprosy? wherefore consider, I pray you, and see how he seeketh a quarrel against me.
| 7 Luego que el rey de Israel leyó las cartas, rasgó sus vestidos, y dijo: ¿Soy yo Dios, que mate y dé vida, para que éste envíe a mí a que sane un hombre de su lepra? Considerad ahora, y ved cómo busca ocasión contra mí. | 7 Und als der König von Israel den Brief las, zerriß er seine Kleider und sprach: Bin ich denn Gott, daß ich töten und lebendig machen könnte, daß er zu mir schickt, ich solle den Mann von seinem Aussatz befreien? Merkt und seht, wie er Streit mit mir sucht! |

And it was so, when Elisha the man of God had heard that the king of Israel had rent his clothes, that he sent to the king, saying, Wherefore hast thou rent thy clothes? let him come now to me, and he shall know that there is a prophet in Israel.
| 8 Cuando Eliseo el varón de Dios oyó que el rey de Israel había rasgado sus vestidos, envió a decir al rey: ¿Por qué has rasgado tus vestidos? Venga ahora a mí, y sabrá que hay profeta en Israel. | 8 Als Elisa, der Mann Gottes, hörte, daß der König von Israel seine Kleider zerrissen hatte, sandte er zu ihm und ließ ihm sagen: Warum hast du deine Kleider zerrissen? Laß ihn zu mir kommen, damit er innewerde, daß ein Prophet in Israel ist. |

So Naaman came with his horses and with his chariot, and stood at the door of the house of Elisha.
| 9 Y vino Naamán con sus caballos y con su carro, y se paró a las puertas de la casa de Eliseo. | 9 So kam Naaman mit Rossen und Wagen und hielt vor der Tür am Hause Elisas. |

And Elisha sent a messenger unto him, saying, Go and wash in Jordan seven times, and thy flesh shall come again to thee, and thou shalt be clean.
| 10 Entonces Eliseo le envió un mensajero, diciendo: Vé y lávate siete veces en el Jordán, y tu carne se te restaurará, y serás limpio. | 10 Da sandte Elisa einen Boten zu ihm und ließ ihm sagen: Geh hin und wasche dich siebenmal im Jordan, so wird dir dein Fleisch wieder heil und du wirst rein werden. |

But Naaman was wroth, and went away, and said, Behold, I thought, He will surely come out to me, and stand, and call on the name of the LORD his God, and strike his hand over the place, and recover the leper.
| 11 Y Naamán se fue enojado, diciendo: He aquí yo decía para mí: Saldrá él luego, y estando en pie invocará el nombre de Jehová su Dios, y alzará su mano y tocará el lugar, y sanará la lepra. | 11 Da wurde Naaman zornig und zog weg und sprach: Ich meinte, er selbst sollte zu mir herauskommen und hertreten und den Namen des HERRN, seines Gottes, anrufen und seine Hand hin zum Heiligtum erheben und mich so von dem Aussatz befreien. |

Are not Abana and Pharpar, rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? may I not wash in them, and be clean? So he turned and went away in a rage.
| 12 Abana y Farfar, ríos de Damasco, ¿no son mejores que todas las aguas de Israel? Si me lavare en ellos, ¿no seré también limpio? Y se volvió, y se fue enojado. | 12 Sind nicht die Flüsse von Damaskus, Abana und Parpar, besser als alle Wasser in Israel, so daß ich mich in ihnen waschen und rein werden könnte? Und er wandte sich und zog weg im Zorn. |

And his servants came near, and spake unto him, and said, My father, if the prophet had bid thee do some great thing, wouldest thou not have done it? how much rather then, when he saith to thee, Wash, and be clean?
| 13 Mas sus criados se le acercaron y le hablaron diciendo: Padre mío, si el profeta te mandara alguna gran cosa, ¿no la harías? ¿Cuánto más, diciéndote: Lávate, y serás limpio? | 13 Da machten sich seine Diener an ihn heran, redeten mit ihm und sprachen: Lieber Vater, wenn dir der Prophet etwas Großes geboten hätte, hättest du es nicht getan? Wieviel mehr, wenn er zu dir sagt: Wasche dich, so wirst du rein! |

Then went he down, and dipped himself seven times in Jordan, according to the saying of the man of God: and his flesh came again like unto the flesh of a little child, and he was clean.
| 14 El entonces descendió, y se zambulló siete veces en el Jordán, conforme a la palabra del varón de Dios; y su carne se volvió como la carne de un niño, y quedó limpio. | 14 Da stieg er ab und tauchte unter im Jordan siebenmal, wie der Mann Gottes geboten hatte. Und sein Fleisch wurde wieder heil wie das Fleisch eines jungen Knaben, und er wurde rein. |

And he returned to the man of God, he and all his company, and came, and stood before him: and he said, Behold, now I know that there is no God in all the earth, but in Israel: now therefore, I pray thee, take a blessing of thy servant.
| 15 Y volvió al varón de Dios, él y toda su compañía, y se puso delante de él, y dijo: He aquí ahora conozco que no hay Dios en toda la tierra, sino en Israel. Te ruego que recibas algún presente de tu siervo. | 15 Und er kehrte zurück zu dem Mann Gottes mit allen seinen Leuten. Und als er hinkam, trat er vor ihn und sprach: Siehe, nun weiß ich, daß kein Gott ist in allen Landen, außer in Israel; so nimm nun eine Segensgabe von deinem Knecht. |

But he said, As the LORD liveth, before whom I stand, I will receive none. And he urged him to take it; but he refused.
| 16 Mas él dijo: Vive Jehová, en cuya presencia estoy, que no lo aceptaré. Y le instaba que aceptara alguna cosa, pero él no quiso. | 16 Elisa aber sprach: So wahr der HERR lebt, vor dem ich stehe: ich nehme es nicht. Und er nötigte ihn, daß er es nehme; aber er wollte nicht. |

And Naaman said, Shall there not then, I pray thee, be given to thy servant two mules' burden of earth? for thy servant will henceforth offer neither burnt offering nor sacrifice unto other gods, but unto the LORD.
| 17 Entonces Naamán dijo: Te ruego, pues, ¿de esta tierra no se dará a tu siervo la carga de un par de mulas? Porque de aquí en adelante tu siervo no sacrificará holocausto ni ofrecerá sacrificio a otros dioses, sino a Jehová. | 17 Da sprach Naaman: Wenn nicht, so könnte doch deinem Knecht gegeben werden von dieser Erde eine Last, soviel zwei Maultiere tragen! Denn dein Knecht will nicht mehr andern Göttern opfern und Brandopfer darbringen, sondern allein dem HERRN. |

In this thing the LORD pardon thy servant, that when my master goeth into the house of Rimmon to worship there, and he leaneth on my hand, and I bow myself in the house of Rimmon: when I bow down myself in the house of Rimmon, the LORD pardon thy servant in this thing.
| 18 En esto perdone Jehová a tu siervo: que cuando mi señor el rey entrare en el templo de Rimón para adorar en él, y se apoyare sobre mi brazo, si yo también me inclinare en el templo de Rimón; cuando haga tal, Jehová perdone en esto a tu siervo. | 18 Nur darin wolle der HERR deinem Knecht gnädig sein: wenn mein König in den Tempel Rimmons geht, um dort anzubeten, und er sich auf meinen Arm lehnt und ich auch anbete im Tempel Rimmons, dann möge der HERR deinem Knecht vergeben. |

And he said unto him, Go in peace. So he departed from him a little way.
| 19 Y él le dijo: Ve en paz. Se fue, pues, y caminó como media legua de tierra. | 19 Er sprach zu ihm: Zieh hin mit Frieden! Und als er von ihm eine Strecke Weges fortgezogen war, |

But Gehazi, the servant of Elisha the man of God, said, Behold, my master hath spared Naaman this Syrian, in not receiving at his hands that which he brought: but, as the LORD liveth, I will run after him, and take somewhat of him.
| 20 Entonces Giezi, criado de Eliseo el varón de Dios, dijo entre sí: He aquí mi señor estorbó a este sirio Naamán, no tomando de su mano las cosas que había traído. Vive Jehová, que correré yo tras él y tomaré de él alguna cosa. | 20 sagte sich Gehasi, der Diener Elisas, des Mannes Gottes: Siehe, mein Herr hat diesen Aramäer Naaman verschont, daß er nichts von ihm genommen hat, was er gebracht hat. So wahr der HERR lebt: ich will ihm nachlaufen und mir etwas von ihm geben lassen. |

So Gehazi followed after Naaman. And when Naaman saw him running after him, he lighted down from the chariot to meet him, and said, Is all well?
| 21 Y siguió Giezi a Naamán; y cuando vio Naamán que venía corriendo tras él, se bajó del carro para recibirle, y dijo: ¿Va todo bien? | 21 So jagte Gehasi dem Naaman nach. Und als Naaman sah, daß er ihm nachlief, stieg er vom Wagen, ging ihm entgegen und sprach: Geht's gut? |

And he said, All is well. My master hath sent me, saying, Behold, even now there be come to me from mount Ephraim two young men of the sons of the prophets: give them, I pray thee, a talent of silver, and two changes of garments.
| 22 Y él dijo: Bien. Mi señor me envía a decirte: He aquí vinieron a mí en esta hora del monte de Efraín dos jóvenes de los hijos de los profetas; te ruego que les des un talento de plata, y dos vestidos nuevos. | 22 Er sprach: Ja. Aber mein Herr hat mich gesandt und läßt dir sagen: Siehe, jetzt sind zu mir gekommen vom Gebirge Ephraim zwei von den Prophetenjüngern. Gib ihnen doch einen Zentner Silber und zwei Feierkleider! |

And Naaman said, Be content, take two talents. And he urged him, and bound two talents of silver in two bags, with two changes of garments, and laid them upon two of his servants; and they bare them before him.
| 23 Dijo Naamán: Te ruego que tomes dos talentos. Y le insistió, y ató dos talentos de plata en dos bolsas, y dos vestidos nuevos, y lo puso todo a cuestas a dos de sus criados para que lo llevasen delante de él. | 23 Naaman sprach: Nimm zwei Zentner! Und er nötigte ihn und band zwei Zentner Silber in zwei Beutel und zwei Feierkleider und gab's seinen beiden Dienern; die trugen's vor ihm her. |

And when he came to the tower, he took them from their hand, and bestowed them in the house: and he let the men go, and they departed.
| 24 Y así que llegó a un lugar secreto, él lo tomó de mano de ellos, y lo guardó en la casa; luego mandó a los hombres que se fuesen. | 24 Und als Gehasi an den Hügel kam, nahm er's von ihren Händen und legte es beiseite im Hause und ließ die Männer gehen. |

But he went in, and stood before his master. And Elisha said unto him, Whence comest thou, Gehazi? And he said, Thy servant went no whither.
| 25 Y él entró, y se puso delante de su señor. Y Eliseo le dijo: ¿De dónde vienes, Giezi? Y él dijo: Tu siervo no ha ido a ninguna parte. | 25 Und als sie weggegangen waren, trat er vor seinen Herrn. Und Elisa sprach zu ihm: Woher, Gehasi? Er sprach: Dein Knecht ist weder hierhin noch dorthin gegangen. |

And he said unto him, Went not mine heart with thee, when the man turned again from his chariot to meet thee? Is it a time to receive money, and to receive garments, and oliveyards, and vineyards, and sheep, and oxen, and menservants, and maidservants?
| 26 El entonces le dijo: ¿No estaba también allí mi corazón, cuando el hombre volvió de su carro a recibirte? ¿Es tiempo de tomar plata, y de tomar vestidos, olivares, viñas, ovejas, bueyes, siervos y siervas? | 26 Er aber sprach zu ihm: Bin ich nicht im Geist mit dir gegangen, als der Mann sich umwandte von seinem Wagen dir entgegen? Wohlan, du hast nun das Silber und die Kleider genommen und wirst dir schaffen Ölgärten, Weinberge, Schafe, Rinder, Knechte und Mägde. |

The leprosy therefore of Naaman shall cleave unto thee, and unto thy seed for ever. And he went out from his presence a leper as white as snow. | 27 Por tanto, la lepra de Naamán se te pegará a ti y a tu descendencia para siempre. Y salió de delante de él leproso, blanco como la nieve. | 27 Aber der Aussatz Naamans wird dir anhangen und deinen Nachkommen allezeit. Da ging Gehasi von ihm hinaus, aussätzig wie Schnee. |
