Now there cried a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets unto Elisha, saying, Thy servant my husband is dead; and thou knowest that thy servant did fear the LORD: and the creditor is come to take unto him my two sons to be bondmen.
| 1 Una mujer, de las mujeres de los hijos de los profetas, clamó a Eliseo, diciendo: Tu siervo mi marido ha muerto; y tú sabes que tu siervo era temeroso de Jehová; y ha venido el acreedor para tomarse dos hijos míos por siervos. | 1 Und es schrie eine Frau unter den Frauen der Prophetenjünger zu Elisa und sprach: Dein Knecht, mein Mann, ist gestorben; und du weißt ja, daß dein Knecht den HERRN fürchtete. Nun kommt der Schuldherr und will meine beiden Kinder nehmen zu leibeigenen Knechten. |

And Elisha said unto her, What shall I do for thee? tell me, what hast thou in the house? And she said, Thine handmaid hath not any thing in the house, save a pot of oil.

Then he said, Go, borrow thee vessels abroad of all thy neighbours, even empty vessels; borrow not a few.
| 3 El le dijo: Ve y pide para ti vasijas prestadas de todos tus vecinos, vasijas vacías, no pocas. | 3 Er sprach: Geh hin und erbitte draußen von allen deinen Nachbarinnen leere Gefäße, aber nicht zu wenig, |

And when thou art come in, thou shalt shut the door upon thee and upon thy sons, and shalt pour out into all those vessels, and thou shalt set aside that which is full.
| 4 Entra luego, y enciérrate tú y tus hijos; y echa en todas las vasijas, y cuando una esté llena, ponla aparte. | 4 und geh ins Haus und schließ die Tür zu hinter dir und deinen Söhnen und gieß in alle Gefäße; und wenn du sie gefüllt hast, so stelle sie beiseite. |

So she went from him, and shut the door upon her and upon her sons, who brought the vessels to her; and she poured out.
| 5 Y se fue la mujer, y cerró la puerta encerrándose ella y sus hijos; y ellos le traían las vasijas, y ella echaba del aceite. | 5 Sie ging hin und tat so und schloß die Tür zu hinter sich und ihren Söhnen; diese brachten ihr die Gefäße herbei, und sie goß ein. |

And it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said unto her son, Bring me yet a vessel. And he said unto her, There is not a vessel more. And the oil stayed.
| 6 Cuando las vasijas estuvieron llenas, dijo a un hijo suyo: Tráeme aún otras vasijas. Y él dijo: No hay más vasijas. Entonces cesó el aceite. | 6 Und als die Gefäße voll waren, sprach sie zu ihrem Sohn: Reiche mir noch ein Gefäß her! Er sprach zu ihr: Es ist kein Gefäß mehr hier. Da stand das Öl. |

Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, Go, sell the oil, and pay thy debt, and live thou and thy children of the rest.
| 7 Vino ella luego, y lo contó al varón de Dios, el cual dijo: Ve y vende el aceite, y paga a tus acreedores; y tú y tus hijos vivid de lo que quede. | 7 Und sie ging hin und sagte es dem Mann Gottes an. Er sprach: Geh hin, verkaufe das Öl und bezahle deinen Schuldherrn; du aber und deine Söhne, nährt euch von dem übrigen. |

And it fell on a day, that Elisha passed to Shunem, where was a great woman; and she constrained him to eat bread. And so it was, that as oft as he passed by, he turned in thither to eat bread.
| 8 Aconteció también que un día pasaba Eliseo por Sunem; y había allí una mujer importante, que le invitaba insistentemente a que comiese; y cuando él pasaba por allí, venía a la casa de ella a comer. | 8 Und es begab sich eines Tages, daß Elisa nach Schunem ging. Dort war eine reiche Frau; die nötigte ihn, daß er bei ihr aß. Und sooft er dort durchkam, kehrte er bei ihr ein und aß bei ihr. |

And she said unto her husband, Behold now, I perceive that this is an holy man of God, which passeth by us continually.
| 9 Y ella dijo a su marido: He aquí ahora, yo entiendo que éste que siempre pasa por nuestra casa, es varón santo de Dios. | 9 Und sie sprach zu ihrem Mann: Siehe, ich merke, daß dieser Mann Gottes heilig ist, der immer hier durchkommt. |

Let us make a little chamber, I pray thee, on the wall; and let us set for him there a bed, and a table, and a stool, and a candlestick: and it shall be, when he cometh to us, that he shall turn in thither.
| 10 Yo te ruego que hagamos un pequeño aposento de paredes, y pongamos allí cama, mesa, silla y candelero, para que cuando él viniere a nosotros, se quede en él. | 10 Laß uns ihm eine kleine Kammer oben machen und Bett, Tisch, Stuhl und Leuchter hinstellen, damit er dort einkehren kann, wenn er zu uns kommt. |

And it fell on a day, that he came thither, and he turned into the chamber, and lay there.
| 11 Y aconteció que un día vino él por allí, y se quedó en aquel aposento, y allí durmió. | 11 Und es begab sich eines Tages, daß Elisa dort einkehrte und sich oben in die Kammer legte und darin schlief. |

And he said to Gehazi his servant, Call this Shunammite. And when he had called her, she stood before him.
| 12 Entonces dijo a Giezi su criado: Llama a esta sunamita. Y cuando la llamó, vino ella delante de él. | 12 Danach sprach er zu seinem Diener Gehasi: Ruf die Schunemiterin! Und als Gehasi sie rief, trat sie vor ihn. |

And he said unto him, Say now unto her, Behold, thou hast been careful for us with all this care; what is to be done for thee? wouldest thou be spoken for to the king, or to the captain of the host? And she answered, I dwell among mine own people.
| 13 Dijo él entonces a Giezi: Dile: He aquí tú has estado solícita por nosotros con todo este esmero; ¿qué quieres que haga por ti? ¿Necesitas que hable por ti al rey, o al general del ejército? And he said, What then is to be done for her? And Gehazi answered, Verily she hath no child, and her husband is old.

And he said, Call her. And when he had called her, she stood in the door.

And he said, About this season, according to the time of life, thou shalt embrace a son. And she said, Nay, my lord, thou man of God, do not lie unto thine handmaid.

And the woman conceived, and bare a son at that season that Elisha had said unto her, according to the time of life.
| 17 Mas la mujer concibió, y dio a luz un hijo el año siguiente, en el tiempo que Eliseo le había dicho. | 17 Und die Frau ward schwanger und gebar einen Sohn um dieselbe Zeit übers Jahr, wie ihr Elisa zugesagt hatte. |

And when the child was grown, it fell on a day, that he went out to his father to the reapers.
| 18 Y el niño creció. Pero aconteció un día, que vino a su padre, que estaba con los segadores; | 18 Als aber das Kind groß wurde, begab es sich, daß es hinaus zu seinem Vater zu den Schnittern ging |

And he said unto his father, My head, my head. And he said to a lad, Carry him to his mother.
| 19 y dijo a su padre: ¡Ay, mi cabeza, mi cabeza! Y el padre dijo a un criado: Llévalo a su madre. | 19 und sprach zu seinem Vater: O mein Kopf, mein Kopf! Er sprach zu einem Knecht: Bringe ihn zu seiner Mutter! |

And when he had taken him, and brought him to his mother, he sat on her knees till noon, and then died.
| 20 Y habiéndole él tomado y traído a su madre, estuvo sentado en sus rodillas hasta el mediodía, y murió. | 20 Und der nahm ihn und brachte ihn hinein zu seiner Mutter, und sie setzte ihn auf ihren Schoß bis zum Mittag; da starb er. |

And she went up, and laid him on the bed of the man of God, and shut the door upon him, and went out.
| 21 Ella entonces subió, y lo puso sobre la cama del varón de Dios, y cerrando la puerta, se salió. | 21 Und sie ging hinauf und legte ihn aufs Bett des Mannes Gottes, schloß zu und ging hinaus |

And she called unto her husband, and said, Send me, I pray thee, one of the young men, and one of the asses, that I may run to the man of God, and come again.
| 22 Llamando luego a su marido, le dijo: Te ruego que envíes conmigo a alguno de los criados y una de las asnas, para que yo vaya corriendo al varón de Dios, y regrese. | 22 und rief ihren Mann und sprach: Schicke mir einen der Knechte und eine Eselin; ich will eilends zu dem Mann Gottes und bald zurückkommen. |

And he said, Wherefore wilt thou go to him to day? it is neither new moon, nor sabbath. And she said, It shall be well.
| 23 El dijo: ¿Para qué vas a verle hoy? No es nueva luna, ni día de reposo. Y ella respondió: Paz. | 23 Er sprach: Warum willst du zu ihm? Ist doch heute weder Neumond noch Sabbat. Sie sprach: Laß es gut sein! |

Then she saddled an ass, and said to her servant, Drive, and go forward; slack not thy riding for me, except I bid thee.
| 24 Después hizo enalbardar el asna, y dijo al criado: Guía y anda; y no me hagas detener en el camino, sino cuando yo te lo dijere. | 24 Und sie sattelte die Eselin und sprach zum Knecht: Treib an und halte mich nicht auf beim Reiten, bis ich dir's sage! |

So she went and came unto the man of God to mount Carmel. And it came to pass, when the man of God saw her afar off, that he said to Gehazi his servant, Behold, yonder is that Shunammite:
| 25 Partió, pues, y vino al varón de Dios, al monte Carmelo.
Y cuando el varón de Dios la vio de lejos, dijo a su criado Giezi: He aquí la sunamita. | 25 So zog sie hin und kam zu dem Mann Gottes auf den Berg Karmel. Als aber der Mann Gottes sie kommen sah, sprach er zu seinem Diener Gehasi: Siehe, die Schunemiterin ist da! |

Run now, I pray thee, to meet her, and say unto her, Is it well with thee? is it well with thy husband? is it well with the child? And she answered, It is well.
| 26 Te ruego que vayas ahora corriendo a recibirla, y le digas: ¿Te va bien a ti? ¿Le va bien a tu marido, y a tu hijo? Y ella dijo: Bien. | 26 So lauf ihr nun entgegen und frage sie, ob es ihr, ihrem Mann und ihrem Sohn gut gehe. Sie sprach: Gut! |

And when she came to the man of God to the hill, she caught him by the feet: but Gehazi came near to thrust her away. And the man of God said, Let her alone; for her soul is vexed within her: and the LORD hath hid it from me, and hath not told me.
| 27 Luego que llegó a donde estaba el varón de Dios en el monte, se asió de sus pies. Y se acercó Giezi para quitarla; pero el varón de Dios le dijo: Déjala, porque su alma está en amargura, y Jehová me ha encubierto el motivo, y no me lo ha revelado. | 27 Als sie aber zu dem Mann Gottes auf den Berg kam, umfing sie seine Füße; Gehasi aber trat herzu, um sie wegzustoßen. Aber der Mann Gottes sprach: Laß sie, denn ihre Seele ist betrübt, und der HERR hat mir's verborgen und nicht kundgetan! |

Then she said, Did I desire a son of my lord? did I not say, Do not deceive me?
| 28 Y ella dijo: ¿Pedí yo hijo a mi señor? ¿No dije yo que no te burlases de mí? | 28 Sie sprach: Wann hab ich einen Sohn erbeten von meinem Herrn? Sagte ich nicht, du solltest mich nicht täuschen? |

Then he said to Gehazi, Gird up thy loins, and take my staff in thine hand, and go thy way: if thou meet any man, salute him not; and if any salute thee, answer him not again: and lay my staff upon the face of the child.
| 29 Entonces dijo él a Giezi: Ciñe tus lomos, y toma mi báculo en tu mano, y ve; si alguno te encontrare, no lo saludes, y si alguno te saludare, no le respondas; y pondrás mi báculo sobre el rostro del niño. | 29 Er sprach zu Gehasi: Gürte deine Lenden und nimm meinen Stab in deine Hand und geh hin, und wenn dir jemand begegnet, so grüße ihn nicht, und grüßt dich jemand, so danke ihm nicht, und lege meinen Stab auf des Knaben Antlitz. |

And the mother of the child said, As the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. And he arose, and followed her.
| 30 Y dijo la madre del niño: Vive Jehová, y vive tu alma, que no te dejaré. | 30 Aber die Mutter des Knaben sprach: So wahr der HERR lebt und so wahr du lebst: ich lasse nicht von dir! Da machte er sich auf und ging ihr nach. |

And Gehazi passed on before them, and laid the staff upon the face of the child; but there was neither voice, nor hearing. Wherefore he went again to meet him, and told him, saying, The child is not awaked.
| 31 El entonces se levantó y la siguió. Y Giezi había ido delante de ellos, y había puesto el báculo sobre el rostro del niño; pero no tenía voz ni sentido, y así se había vuelto para encontrar a Eliseo, y se lo declaró, diciendo: El niño no despierta. | 31 Gehasi aber ging vor ihnen hin und legte den Stab dem Knaben aufs Antlitz: da war aber keine Stimme und kein Empfinden. Und er ging zurück Elisa entgegen und sagte ihm: Der Knabe ist nicht aufgewacht. |

And when Elisha was come into the house, behold, the child was dead, and laid upon his bed.
| 32 Y venido Eliseo a la casa, he aquí que el niño estaba muerto tendido sobre su cama. | 32 Und als Elisa ins Haus kam, siehe, da lag der Knabe tot auf seinem Bett. |

He went in therefore, and shut the door upon them twain, and prayed unto the LORD.
| 33 Entrando él entonces, cerró la puerta tras ambos, y oró a Jehová. | 33 Und er ging hinein und schloß die Tür hinter sich zu und betete zu dem HERRN |

And he went up, and lay upon the child, and put his mouth upon his mouth, and his eyes upon his eyes, and his hands upon his hands: and he stretched himself upon the child; and the flesh of the child waxed warm.
| 34 Después subió y se tendió sobre el niño, poniendo su boca sobre la boca de él, y sus ojos sobre sus ojos, y sus manos sobre las manos suyas; así se tendió sobre él, y el cuerpo del niño entró en calor. | 34 und stieg aufs Bett und legte sich auf das Kind und legte seinen Mund auf des Kindes Mund und seine Augen auf dessen Augen und seine Hände auf dessen Hände und breitete sich so über ihn; da wurde des Kindes Leib warm. |

Then he returned, and walked in the house to and fro; and went up, and stretched himself upon him: and the child sneezed seven times, and the child opened his eyes.
| 35 Volviéndose luego, se paseó por la casa a una y otra parte, y después subió, y se tendió sobre él nuevamente, y el niño estornudó siete veces, y abrió sus ojos. | 35 Er aber stand wieder auf und ging im Haus einmal hierhin und dahin und stieg wieder aufs Bett und breitete sich über ihn. Da nieste der Knabe siebenmal; danach tat der Knabe seine Augen auf. |

And he called Gehazi, and said, Call this Shunammite. So he called her. And when she was come in unto him, he said, Take up thy son.
| 36 Entonces llamó él a Giezi, y le dijo: Llama a esta sunamita. Y él la llamó. Y entrando ella, él le dijo: Toma tu hijo. | 36 Und Elisa rief Gehasi und sprach: Ruf die Schunemiterin! Und als er sie rief, kam sie hinein zu ihm. Er sprach: Da, nimm hin deinen Sohn! |

Then she went in, and fell at his feet, and bowed herself to the ground, and took up her son, and went out.
| 37 Y así que ella entró, se echó a sus pies, y se inclinó a tierra; y después tomó a su hijo, y salió. | 37 Da kam sie und fiel nieder zu seinen Füßen und neigte sich zur Erde und nahm ihren Sohn und ging hinaus. |

And Elisha came again to Gilgal: and there was a dearth in the land; and the sons of the prophets were sitting before him: and he said unto his servant, Set on the great pot, and seethe pottage for the sons of the prophets.
| 38 Eliseo volvió a Gilgal cuando había una grande hambre en la tierra. Y los hijos de los profetas estaban con él, por lo que dijo a su criado: Pon una olla grande, y haz potaje para los hijos de los profetas. | 38 Als aber Elisa wieder nach Gilgal kam, war Hungersnot im Lande. And one went out into the field to gather herbs, and found a wild vine, and gathered thereof wild gourds his lap full, and came and shred them into the pot of pottage: for they knew them not.
| 39 Y salió uno al campo a recoger hierbas, y halló una como parra montés, y de ella llenó su falda de calabazas silvestres; y volvió, y las cortó en la olla del potaje, pues no sabía lo que era. | 39 Da ging einer aufs Feld, um Kraut zu sammeln, und fand ein Rankengewächs und pflückte sein Kleid voll mit wilden Gurken. Und als er kam, schnitt er's in den Topf zum Gemüse - sie kannten's aber nicht - |

So they poured out for the men to eat. And it came to pass, as they were eating of the pottage, that they cried out, and said, O thou man of God, there is death in the pot. And they could not eat thereof.
| 40 Después sirvió para que comieran los hombres; pero sucedió que comiendo ellos de aquel guisado, gritaron diciendo: ¡Varón de Dios, hay muerte en esa olla! Y no lo pudieron comer. | 40 und legte es den Männern zum Essen vor. Als sie nun von dem Gemüse aßen, schrien sie und sprachen: O Mann Gottes, der Tod im Topf! Denn sie konnten's nicht essen. |

But he said, Then bring meal. And he cast it into the pot; and he said, Pour out for the people, that they may eat. And there was no harm in the pot.
| 41 El entonces dijo: Traed harina. Y la esparció en la olla, y dijo: Da de comer a la gente. Y no hubo más mal en la olla. | 41 Er aber sprach: Bringt Mehl her! Und er tat's in den Topf und sprach: Lege es den Leuten vor, daß sie essen! Da war nichts Böses mehr in dem Topf. |

And there came a man from Baal-shalisha, and brought the man of God bread of the firstfruits, twenty loaves of barley, and full ears of corn in the husk thereof. And he said, Give unto the people, that they may eat.
| 42 Vino entonces un hombre de Baal-salisa, el cual trajo al varón de Dios panes de primicias, veinte panes de cebada, y trigo nuevo en su espiga. Y él dijo: Da a la gente para que coma. | 42 Es kam aber ein Mann von Baal- Schalischa und brachte dem Mann Gottes Erstlingsbrot, nämlich zwanzig Gerstenbrote, und neues Getreide in seinem Kleid. Er aber sprach: Gib's den Leuten, daß sie essen! |

And his servitor said, What, should I set this before an hundred men? He said again, Give the people, that they may eat: for thus saith the LORD, They shall eat, and shall leave thereof.
| 43 Y respondió su sirviente: ¿Cómo pondré esto delante de cien hombres? Pero él volvió a decir: Da a la gente para que coma, porque así ha dicho Jehová: Comerán, y sobrará. | 43 Sein Diener sprach: Wie soll ich davon hundert Mann geben? Er sprach: Gib den Leuten, daß sie essen! Denn so spricht der HERR: Man wird essen, und es wird noch übrigbleiben. |

So he set it before them, and they did eat, and left thereof, according to the word of the LORD. | 44 Entonces lo puso delante de ellos, y comieron, y les sobró, conforme a la palabra de Jehová. | 44 Und er legte es ihnen vor, daß sie aßen; und es blieb noch übrig nach dem Wort des HERRN. |
