And it came to pass in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, in the tenth day of the month, that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came, he, and all his host, against Jerusalem, and pitched against it; and they built forts against it round about.

And the city was besieged unto the eleventh year of king Zedekiah.

And on the ninth day of the fourth month the famine prevailed in the city, and there was no bread for the people of the land.

And the city was broken up, and all the men of war fled by night by the way of the gate between two walls, which is by the king's garden: (now the Chaldees were against the city round about:) and the king went the way toward the plain.
| 4 Abierta ya una brecha en el muro de la ciudad, huyeron de noche todos los hombres de guerra por el camino de la puerta que estaba entre los dos muros, junto a los huertos del rey, estando los caldeos alrededor de la ciudad; y el rey se fue por el camino del Arabá. | 4 Da brach man in die Stadt ein. Und der König und alle Kriegsmänner flohen bei Nacht durch das Tor zwischen den zwei Mauern auf dem Wege, der zu dem Garten des Königs geht. Aber die Chaldäer lagen um die Stadt. And the army of the Chaldees pursued after the king, and overtook him in the plains of Jericho: and all his army were scattered from him.
| 5 Y el ejército de los caldeos siguió al rey, y lo apresó en las llanuras de Jericó, habiendo sido dispersado todo su ejército. | 5 Aber die Kriegsleute der Chaldäer jagten dem König nach, und sie holten ihn ein im Jordantal von Jericho, und alle Kriegsleute, die bei ihm waren, zerstreuten sich von ihm. |

So they took the king, and brought him up to the king of Babylon to Riblah; and they gave judgment upon him.

And they slew the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes, and put out the eyes of Zedekiah, and bound him with fetters of brass, and carried him to Babylon.

And in the fifth month, on the seventh day of the month, which is the nineteenth year of king Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, came Nebuzar-adan, captain of the guard, a servant of the king of Babylon, unto Jerusalem:

And he burnt the house of the LORD, and the king's house, and all the houses of Jerusalem, and every great man's house burnt he with fire.
| 9 Y quemó la casa de Jehová, y la casa del rey, y todas las casas de Jerusalén; y todas las casas de los príncipes quemó a fuego. | 9 und verbrannte das Haus des HERRN und das Haus des Königs und alle Häuser in Jerusalem; alle großen Häuser verbrannte er mit Feuer. |

And all the army of the Chaldees, that were with the captain of the guard, brake down the walls of Jerusalem round about.
| 10 Y todo el ejército de los caldeos que estaba con el capitán de la guardia, derribó los muros alrededor de Jerusalén. | 10 Und die ganze Heeresmacht der Chaldäer, die dem Obersten der Leibwache unterstand, riß die Mauern Jerusalems nieder. |

Now the rest of the people that were left in the city, and the fugitives that fell away to the king of Babylon, with the remnant of the multitude, did Nebuzar-adan the captain of the guard carry away.
| 11 Y a los del pueblo que habían quedado en la ciudad, a los que se habían pasado al rey de Babilonia, y a los que habían quedado de la gente común, los llevó cautivos Nabuzaradán, capitán de la guardia. | 11 Das Volk aber, das übrig war in der Stadt, und die zum König von Babel abgefallen waren und was übrig war von den Werkleuten, führte Nebusaradan, der Oberste der Leibwache, weg; |

But the captain of the guard left of the poor of the land to be vinedressers and husbandmen.

And the pillars of brass that were in the house of the LORD, and the bases, and the brasen sea that was in the house of the LORD, did the Chaldees break in pieces, and carried the brass of them to Babylon.
| 13 Y quebraron los caldeos las columnas de bronce que estaban en la casa de Jehová, y las basas, y el mar de bronce que estaba en la casa de Jehová, y llevaron el bronce a Babilonia. | 13 Die kupfernen Säulen am Hause des HERRN und die Gestelle und das kupferne Meer, das am Hause des HERRN war, zerbrachen die Chaldäer und brachten das Kupfer nach Babel. |

And the pots, and the shovels, and the snuffers, and the spoons, and all the vessels of brass wherewith they ministered, took they away.
| 14 Llevaron también los calderos, las paletas, las despabiladeras, los cucharones, y todos los utensilios de bronce con que ministraban; | 14 Und die Töpfe, Schaufeln, Messer, Löffel und alle kupfernen Gefäße, die man beim Opferdienst brauchte, nahmen sie weg. |

And the firepans, and the bowls, and such things as were of gold, in gold, and of silver, in silver, the captain of the guard took away.

The two pillars, one sea, and the bases which Solomon had made for the house of the LORD; the brass of all these vessels was without weight.

The height of the one pillar was eighteen cubits, and the chapiter upon it was brass: and the height of the chapiter three cubits; and the wreathen work, and pomegranates upon the chapiter round about, all of brass: and like unto these had the second pillar with wreathen work.
| 17 La altura de una columna era de dieciocho codos, y tenía encima un capitel de bronce; la altura del capitel era de tres codos, y sobre el capitel había una red y granadas alrededor, todo de bronce; e igual labor había en la otra columna con su red. | 17 Achtzehn Ellen hoch war eine Säule, und ihr Knauf darauf war auch aus Kupfer und drei Ellen hoch, und das Gitterwerk und die Granatäpfel an dem Knauf umher, alles war aus Kupfer. And the captain of the guard took Seraiah the chief priest, and Zephaniah the second priest, and the three keepers of the door:

And out of the city he took an officer that was set over the men of war, and five men of them that were in the king's presence, which were found in the city, and the principal scribe of the host, which mustered the people of the land, and threescore men of the people of the land that were found in the city:
| 19 y de la ciudad tomó un oficial que tenía a su cargo los hombres de guerra, y cinco varones de los consejeros del rey, que estaban en la ciudad, el principal escriba del ejército, que llevaba el registro de la gente del país, y sesenta varones del pueblo de la tierra, que estaban en la ciudad. | 19 und aus der Stadt einen Kämmerer, der über die Kriegsmänner gesetzt war, und fünf Männer, die stets vor dem König waren, die sich in der Stadt fanden, und den Schreiber des Feldhauptmanns, der das Volk des Landes zum Heere aufbot, und sechzig Mann vom Volk des Landes, die in der Stadt sich fanden, - |

And Nebuzar-adan captain of the guard took these, and brought them to the king of Babylon to Riblah:

And the king of Babylon smote them, and slew them at Riblah in the land of Hamath. So Judah was carried away out of their land.

And as for the people that remained in the land of Judah, whom Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon had left, even over them he made Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, ruler.
| 22 Y al pueblo que Nabucodonosor rey de Babilonia dejó en tierra de Judá, puso por gobernador a Gedalías hijo de Ahicam, hijo de Safán. | 22 Aber über das Volk, das übrig war im Lande Juda, das Nebukadnezar, der König von Babel, übriggelassen hatte, setzte er Gedalja, den Sohn Ahikams, des Sohnes Schafans. |

And when all the captains of the armies, they and their men, heard that the king of Babylon had made Gedaliah governor, there came to Gedaliah to Mizpah, even Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and Johanan the son of Careah, and Seraiah the son of Tanhumeth the Netophathite, and Jaazaniah the son of a Maachathite, they and their men.
| 23 Y oyendo todos los príncipes del ejército, ellos y su gente, que el rey de Babilonia había puesto por gobernador a Gedalías, vinieron a él en Mizpa; Ismael hijo de Netanías, Johanán hijo de Carea, Seraías hijo de Tanhumet netofatita, y Jaazanías hijo de un maacateo, ellos con los suyos. | 23 Als nun alle Hauptleute des Kriegsvolkes und ihre Männer hörten, daß der König von Babel Gedalja eingesetzt hatte, kamen sie zu Gedalja nach Mizpa, nämlich Jismael, der Sohn Netanjas, und Johanan, der Sohn Kareachs und Seraja, der Sohn Tanhumets, der Netofatiter, und Jaasanja, der Sohn eines Maachatiters, samt ihren Männern. |

And Gedaliah sware to them, and to their men, and said unto them, Fear not to be the servants of the Chaldees: dwell in the land, and serve the king of Babylon; and it shall be well with you.
| 24 Entonces Gedalías les hizo juramento a ellos y a los suyos, y les dijo: No temáis de ser siervos de los caldeos; habitad en la tierra, y servid al rey de Babilonia, y os irá bien. | 24 Und Gedalja schwor ihnen und ihren Männern und sprach zu ihnen: Fürchtet euch nicht vor den Chaldäern; bleibt im Lande und seid dem König von Babel untertan, so wird's euch gut gehen. |

But it came to pass in the seventh month, that Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, the son of Elishama, of the seed royal, came, and ten men with him, and smote Gedaliah, that he died, and the Jews and the Chaldees that were with him at Mizpah.
| 25 Mas en el mes séptimo vino Ismael hijo de Netanías, hijo de Elisama, de la estirpe real, y con él diez varones, e hirieron a Gedalías, y murió; y también a los de Judá y a los caldeos que estaban con él en Mizpa. | 25 Aber im siebenten Monat kam Jismael, der Sohn Netanjas, des Sohnes Elischamas, von königlichem Geschlecht, und zehn Männer mit ihm und schlugen Gedalja tot, dazu die Judäer und Chaldäer, die bei ihm waren in Mizpa. |

And all the people, both small and great, and the captains of the armies, arose, and came to Egypt: for they were afraid of the Chaldees.
| 26 Y levantándose todo el pueblo, desde el menor hasta el mayor, con los capitanes del ejército, se fueron a Egipto, por temor de los caldeos. | 26 Da machte sich das ganze Volk auf, klein und groß, und die Obersten des Kriegsvolkes und zogen nach Ägypten; denn sie fürchteten sich vor den Chaldäern. |

And it came to pass in the seven and thirtieth year of the captivity of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, on the seven and twentieth day of the month, that Evil-merodach king of Babylon in the year that he began to reign did lift up the head of Jehoiachin king of Judah out of prison;
| 27 Aconteció a los treinta y siete años del cautiverio de Joaquín rey de Judá, en el mes duodécimo, a los veintisiete días del mes, que Evil-merodac rey de Babilonia, en el primer año de su reinado, libertó a Joaquín rey de Judá, sacándolo de la cárcel; | 27 Aber im siebenunddreißigsten Jahr, nachdem Jojachin, der König von Juda, weggeführt war, am siebenundzwanzigsten Tage des zwölften Monats ließ Ewil- Merodach, der König von Babel, im ersten Jahr seiner Herrschaft Jojachin, den König von Juda, aus dem Kerker kommen |

And he spake kindly to him, and set his throne above the throne of the kings that were with him in Babylon;
| 28 y le habló con benevolencia, y puso su trono más alto que los tronos de los reyes que estaban con él en Babilonia. | 28 und redete freundlich mit ihm und setzte seinen Sitz über die Sitze der Könige, die bei ihm waren zu Babel. |

And changed his prison garments: and he did eat bread continually before him all the days of his life.

And his allowance was a continual allowance given him of the king, a daily rate for every day, all the days of his life. | 30 Y diariamente le fue dada su comida de parte del rey, de continuo, todos los días de su vida. | 30 Und es wurde ihm vom König sein ständiger Unterhalt bestimmt, den man ihm gab an jedem Tag sein ganzes Leben lang. |
