Josiah was eight years old when he began to reign, and he reigned thirty and one years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Jedidah, the daughter of Adaiah of Boscath.

El nombre de su madre fue Jedida hija de Adaía, de Boscat. | 1 Josia war acht Jahre alt, als er König wurde; und er regierte einunddreißig Jahre zu Jerusalem. And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, and walked in all the way of David his father, and turned not aside to the right hand or to the left.
| 2 E hizo lo recto ante los ojos de Jehová, y anduvo en todo el camino de David su padre, sin apartarse a derecha ni a izquierda. | 2 Und er tat, was dem HERRN wohlgefiel, und wandelte ganz in dem Wege seines Vaters David und wich nicht davon ab, weder zur Rechten noch zur Linken. |

And it came to pass in the eighteenth year of king Josiah, that the king sent Shaphan the son of Azaliah, the son of Meshullam, the scribe, to the house of the LORD, saying,

Go up to Hilkiah the high priest, that he may sum the silver which is brought into the house of the LORD, which the keepers of the door have gathered of the people:
| 4 Ve al sumo sacerdote Hilcías, y dile que recoja el dinero que han traído a la casa de Jehová, que han recogido del pueblo los guardianes de la puerta, | 4 Geh hinauf zu dem Hohenpriester Hilkija, daß er abgebe alles Geld, was zum Hause des HERRN gebracht ist, das die Hüter an der Schwelle gesammelt haben vom Volk, |

And let them deliver it into the hand of the doers of the work, that have the oversight of the house of the LORD: and let them give it to the doers of the work which is in the house of the LORD, to repair the breaches of the house,
| 5 y que lo pongan en manos de los que hacen la obra, que tienen a su cargo el arreglo de la casa de Jehová, y que lo entreguen a los que hacen la obra de la casa de Jehová, para reparar las grietas de la casa; | 5 damit man es gebe den Werkmeistern, die bestellt sind im Hause des HERRN, und sie es geben den Arbeitern am Hause des HERRN, damit sie ausbessern, was baufällig ist am Hause, |

Unto carpenters, and builders, and masons, and to buy timber and hewn stone to repair the house.
| 6 a los carpinteros, maestros y albańiles, para comprar madera y piedra de cantería para reparar la casa; | 6 nämlich den Zimmerleuten und Bauleuten und Maurern und denen, die Holz und gehauene Steine kaufen sollen, um das Haus auszubessern; |

Howbeit there was no reckoning made with them of the money that was delivered into their hand, because they dealt faithfully.
| 7 y que no se les tome cuenta del dinero cuyo manejo se les confiare, porque ellos proceden con honradez. | 7 doch daß sie keine Rechnung zu legen brauchten von dem Geld, das ihnen gegeben wird, sondern daß sie auf Treu und Glauben handeln. |

And Hilkiah the high priest said unto Shaphan the scribe, I have found the book of the law in the house of the LORD. And Hilkiah gave the book to Shaphan, and he read it.
| 8 Entonces dijo el sumo sacerdote Hilcías al escriba Safán: He hallado el libro de la ley en la casa de Jehová. E Hilcías dio el libro a Safán, y lo leyó. | 8 Und der Hohepriester Hilkija sprach zu dem Schreiber Schafan: Ich habe dies Gesetzbuch gefunden im Hause des HERRN. Und Hilkija gab das Buch Schafan, und der las es. |

And Shaphan the scribe came to the king, and brought the king word again, and said, Thy servants have gathered the money that was found in the house, and have delivered it into the hand of them that do the work, that have the oversight of the house of the LORD.
| 9 Viniendo luego el escriba Safán al rey, dio cuenta al rey y dijo: Tus siervos han recogido el dinero que se halló en el templo, y lo han entregado en poder de los que hacen la obra, que tienen a su cargo el arreglo de la casa de Jehová. | 9 Und der Schreiber Schafan kam zum König und gab ihm Bericht und sprach: Deine Knechte haben das Geld ausgeschüttet, das im Hause des Herrn gesammelt ist, und haben's den Werkmeistern gegeben, die bestellt sind am Hause des HERRN. |

And Shaphan the scribe shewed the king, saying, Hilkiah the priest hath delivered me a book. And Shaphan read it before the king.
| 10 Asimismo el escriba Safán declaró al rey, diciendo: El sacerdote Hilcías me ha dado un libro. Y lo leyó Safán delante del rey. | 10 Dazu sagte der Schreiber Schafan dem König: Der Priester Hilkija gab mir ein Buch. Und Schafan las es vor dem König. |

And it came to pass, when the king had heard the words of the book of the law, that he rent his clothes.
| 11 Y cuando el rey hubo oído las palabras del libro de la ley, rasgó sus vestidos. | 11 Als aber der König die Worte des Gesetzbuches hörte, zerriß er seine Kleider. |

And the king commanded Hilkiah the priest, and Ahikam the son of Shaphan, and Achbor the son of Michaiah, and Shaphan the scribe, and Asahiah a servant of the king's, saying,
| 12 Luego el rey dio orden al sacerdote Hilcías, a Ahicam hijo de Safán, a Acbor hijo de Micaías, al escriba Safán y a Asaías siervo del rey, | 12 Und der König gebot dem Priester Hilkija und Ahikam, dem Sohn Schafans, und Achbor, dem Sohn Michajas, und Schafan, dem Schreiber, und Asaja, dem Kämmerer des Königs, und sprach: |

Go ye, enquire of the LORD for me, and for the people, and for all Judah, concerning the words of this book that is found: for great is the wrath of the LORD that is kindled against us, because our fathers have not hearkened unto the words of this book, to do according unto all that which is written concerning us.
| 13 Id y preguntad a Jehová por mí, y por el pueblo, y por todo Judá, acerca de las palabras de este libro que se ha hallado; porque grande es la ira de Jehová que se ha encendido contra nosotros, por cuanto nuestros padres no escucharon las palabras de este libro, para hacer conforme a todo lo que nos fue escrito. | 13 Geht hin und befragt den HERRN für mich, für das Volk und für ganz Juda über die Worte dieses Buches, das gefunden ist; denn groß ist der Grimm des HERRN, der über uns entbrannt ist, weil unsere Väter nicht den Worten dieses Buches gehorcht haben und nicht alles taten, was darin geschrieben ist. |

So Hilkiah the priest, and Ahikam, and Achbor, and Shaphan, and Asahiah, went unto Huldah the prophetess, the wife of Shallum the son of Tikvah, the son of Harhas, keeper of the wardrobe; (now she dwelt in Jerusalem in the college;) and they communed with her.
| 14 Entonces fueron el sacerdote Hilcías, y Ahicam, Acbor, Safán y Asaías, a la profetisa Hulda, mujer de Salum hijo de Ticva, hijo de Harhas, guarda de las vestiduras, la cual moraba en Jerusalén en la segunda parte de la ciudad, y hablaron con ella. | 14 Da gingen hin der Priester Hilkija, Ahikam, Achbor, Schafan und Asaja zu der Prophetin Hulda, der Frau Schallums, des Sohnes Tikwas, des Sohnes des Harhas, des Hüters der Kleider, und sie wohnte in Jerusalem im zweiten Bezirk der Stadt; und sie redeten mit ihr. |

And she said unto them, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Tell the man that sent you to me,

Thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will bring evil upon this place, and upon the inhabitants thereof, even all the words of the book which the king of Judah hath read:
| 16 Así dijo Jehová: He aquí yo traigo sobre este lugar, y sobre los que en él moran, todo el mal de que habla este libro que ha leído el rey de Judá; | 16 So spricht der HERR: Siehe, ich will Unheil über diese Stätte und ihre Einwohner bringen, alle Worte des Buches, das der König von Juda hat lesen lassen, |

Because they have forsaken me, and have burned incense unto other gods, that they might provoke me to anger with all the works of their hands; therefore my wrath shall be kindled against this place, and shall not be quenched.
| 17 por cuanto me dejaron a mí, y quemaron incienso a dioses ajenos, provocándome a ira con toda la obra de sus manos; mi ira se ha encendido contra este lugar, y no se apagará. | 17 weil sie mich verlassen und andern Göttern geopfert haben, mich zu erzürnen mit allen Werken ihrer Hände; darum wird mein Grimm gegen diese Stätte entbrennen und nicht ausgelöscht werden. |

But to the king of Judah which sent you to enquire of the LORD, thus shall ye say to him, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, As touching the words which thou hast heard;
| 18 Mas al rey de Judá que os ha enviado para que preguntaseis a Jehová, diréis así: Así ha dicho Jehová el Dios de Israel: Por cuanto oíste las palabras del libro, | 18 Aber dem König von Juda, der euch gesandt hat, den HERRN zu befragen, sollt ihr sagen: So spricht der HERR, der Gott Israels: Was die Worte angeht, die du gehört hast: |

Because thine heart was tender, and thou hast humbled thyself before the LORD, when thou heardest what I spake against this place, and against the inhabitants thereof, that they should become a desolation and a curse, and hast rent thy clothes, and wept before me; I also have heard thee, saith the LORD.
| 19 y tu corazón se enterneció, y te humillaste delante de Jehová, cuando oíste lo que yo he pronunciado contra este lugar y contra sus moradores, que vendrán a ser asolados y malditos, y rasgaste tus vestidos, y lloraste en mi presencia, también yo te he oído, dice Jehová. | 19 Weil du im Herzen betroffen bist und dich gedemütigt hast vor dem HERRN, als du hörtest, was ich geredet habe gegen diese Stätte und ihre Einwohner, daß sie sollen zum Entsetzen und zum Fluch werden, und weil du deine Kleider zerrissen hast und vor mir geweint hast, so habe ich's auch erhört, spricht der HERR. |

Behold therefore, I will gather thee unto thy fathers, and thou shalt be gathered into thy grave in peace; and thine eyes shall not see all the evil which I will bring upon this place. And they brought the king word again. | 20 Por tanto, he aquí yo te recogeré con tus padres, y serás llevado a tu sepulcro en paz, y no verán tus ojos todo el mal que yo traigo sobre este lugar. Y ellos dieron al rey la respuesta. | 20 Darum will ich dich zu deinen Vätern versammeln, damit du mit Frieden in dein Grab kommst und deine Augen nicht sehen all das Unheil, das ich über diese Stätte bringen will. Und sie sagten es dem König wieder. |
