And it came to pass, when the LORD would take up Elijah into heaven by a whirlwind, that Elijah went with Elisha from Gilgal.
| 1 Aconteció que cuando quiso Jehová alzar a Elías en un torbellino al cielo, Elías venía con Eliseo de Gilgal. | 1 Als aber der HERR Elia im Wetter gen Himmel holen wollte, gingen Elia und Elisa von Gilgal weg. |

And Elijah said unto Elisha, Tarry here, I pray thee; for the LORD hath sent me to Bethel. And Elisha said unto him, As the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. So they went down to Bethel.
| 2 Y dijo Elías a Eliseo: Quédate ahora aquí, porque Jehová me ha enviado a Bet-el. Y Eliseo dijo: Vive Jehová, y vive tu alma, que no te dejaré. Descendieron, pues, a Bet-el. | 2 Und Elia sprach zu Elisa: Bleibe du hier, denn der HERR hat mich nach Bethel gesandt. Elisa aber sprach: So wahr der HERR lebt und du lebst: ich verlasse dich nicht. And the sons of the prophets that were at Bethel came forth to Elisha, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the LORD will take away thy master from thy head to day? And he said, Yea, I know it; hold ye your peace.
| 3 Y saliendo a Eliseo los hijos de los profetas que estaban en Bet-el, le dijeron: ¿Sabes que Jehová te quitará hoy a tu señor de sobre ti? Y él dijo: Sí, yo lo sé; callad. | 3 gingen die Prophetenjünger, die in Bethel waren, heraus zu Elisa und sprachen zu ihm: Weißt du auch, daß der HERR heute deinen Herrn von dir hinwegnehmen wird? Er aber sprach: Auch ich weiß es wohl; schweigt nur still. |

And Elijah said unto him, Elisha, tarry here, I pray thee; for the LORD hath sent me to Jericho. And he said, As the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. So they came to Jericho.
| 4 Y Elías le volvió a decir: Eliseo, quédate aquí ahora, porque Jehová me ha enviado a Jericó. Y él dijo: Vive Jehová, y vive tu alma, que no te dejaré. | 5 Y se acercaron a Eliseo los hijos de los profetas que estaban en Jericó, y le dijeron: ¿Sabes que Jehová te quitará hoy a tu señor de sobre ti? El respondió: Sí, yo lo sé; callad. | 5 traten die Prophetenjünger, die in Jericho waren, zu Elisa und sprachen zu ihm: Weißt du auch, daß der HERR heute deinen Herrn von dir hinwegnehmen wird? Er aber sprach: Auch ich weiß es wohl; schweigt nur still. |

And Elijah said unto him, Tarry, I pray thee, here; for the LORD hath sent me to Jordan. And he said, As the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. And they two went on.
| 6 Y Elías le dijo: Te ruego que te quedes aquí, porque Jehová me ha enviado al Jordán. Y él dijo: Vive Jehová, y vive tu alma, que no te dejaré. Fueron, pues, ambos. | 6 Und Elia sprach zu ihm: Bleib du hier, denn der HERR hat mich an den Jordan gesandt. Er aber sprach: So wahr der HERR lebt und du lebst: ich verlasse dich nicht. Und es gingen die beiden miteinander. |

And fifty men of the sons of the prophets went, and stood to view afar off: and they two stood by Jordan.
| 7 Y vinieron cincuenta varones de los hijos de los profetas, y se pararon delante a lo lejos; y ellos dos se pararon junto al Jordán. | 7 Und fünfzig von den Prophetenjüngern gingen hin und standen von ferne; aber die beiden standen am Jordan. |

And Elijah took his mantle, and wrapped it together, and smote the waters, and they were divided hither and thither, so that they two went over on dry ground.
| 8 Tomando entonces Elías su manto, lo dobló, y golpeó las aguas, las cuales se apartaron a uno y a otro lado, y pasaron ambos por lo seco. | 8 Da nahm Elia seinen Mantel und wickelte ihn zusammen und schlug ins Wasser; das teilte sich nach beiden Seiten, so daß die beiden auf trockenem Boden hinübergingen. |

And it came to pass, when they were gone over, that Elijah said unto Elisha, Ask what I shall do for thee, before I be taken away from thee. And Elisha said, I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me.
| 9 Cuando habían pasado, Elías dijo a Eliseo: Pide lo que quieras que haga por ti, antes que yo sea quitado de ti. Y dijo Eliseo: Te ruego que una doble porción de tu espíritu sea sobre mí. | 9 Und als sie hinüberkamen, sprach Elia zu Elisa: Bitte, was ich dir tun soll, ehe ich von dir genommen werde. Elisa sprach: Daß mir zwei Anteile von deinem Geiste zufallen. |

And he said, Thou hast asked a hard thing: nevertheless, if thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee; but if not, it shall not be so.
| 10 El le dijo: Cosa difícil has pedido. Si me vieres cuando fuere quitado de ti, te será hecho así; mas si no, no. | 10 Er sprach: Du hast Schweres erbeten. Doch wenn du mich sehen wirst, wie ich von dir genommen werde, so wird's geschehen; wenn nicht, so wird's nicht sein. |

And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.
| 11 Y aconteció que yendo ellos y hablando, he aquí un carro de fuego con caballos de fuego apartó a los dos; y Elías subió al cielo en un torbellino. | 11 Und als sie miteinander gingen und redeten, siehe, da kam ein feuriger Wagen mit feurigen Rossen, die schieden die beiden voneinander. Und Elia fuhr im Wetter gen Himmel. |

And Elisha saw it, and he cried, My father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof. And he saw him no more: and he took hold of his own clothes, and rent them in two pieces.
| 12 Viéndolo Eliseo, clamaba: ¡Padre mío, padre mío, carro de Israel y su gente de a caballo! Y nunca más le vio; y tomando sus vestidos, los rompió en dos partes. | 12 Elisa aber sah es und schrie: Mein Vater, mein Vater, du Wagen Israels und sein Gespann! und sah ihn nicht mehr. Da faßte er seine Kleider, zerriß sie in zwei Stücke |

He took up also the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and went back, and stood by the bank of Jordan;
| 13 Alzó luego el manto de Elías que se le había caído, y volvió, y se paró a la orilla del Jordán. | 13 und hob den Mantel auf, der Elia entfallen war, und kehrte um und trat wieder an das Ufer des Jordans. |

And he took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and smote the waters, and said, Where is the LORD God of Elijah? and when he also had smitten the waters, they parted hither and thither: and Elisha went over.
| 14 Y tomando el manto de Elías que se le había caído, golpeó las aguas, y dijo: ¿Dónde está Jehová, el Dios de Elías? Y así que hubo golpeado del mismo modo las aguas, se apartaron a uno y a otro lado, y pasó Eliseo. | 14 Und er nahm den Mantel, der Elia entfallen war, und schlug ins Wasser und sprach: Wo ist nun der HERR, der Gott Elias? und schlug ins Wasser. Da teilte es sich nach beiden Seiten, und Elisa ging hindurch. |

And when the sons of the prophets which were to view at Jericho saw him, they said, The spirit of Elijah doth rest on Elisha. And they came to meet him, and bowed themselves to the ground before him.
| 15 Viéndole los hijos de los profetas que estaban en Jericó al otro lado, dijeron: El espíritu de Elías reposó sobre Eliseo. Y vinieron a recibirle, y se postraron delante de él. | 15 Und als das die Prophetenjünger sahen, die gegenüber bei Jericho waren, sprachen sie: Der Geist Elias ruht auf Elisa, und sie gingen ihm entgegen und fielen vor ihm nieder zur Erde |

And they said unto him, Behold now, there be with thy servants fifty strong men; let them go, we pray thee, and seek thy master: lest peradventure the Spirit of the LORD hath taken him up, and cast him upon some mountain, or into some valley. And he said, Ye shall not send.
| 16 Y dijeron: He aquí hay con tus siervos cincuenta varones fuertes; vayan ahora y busquen a tu señor; quizá lo ha levantado el Espíritu de Jehová, y lo ha echado en algún monte o en algún valle. Y él les dijo: No enviéis. | 16 und sprachen zu ihm: Siehe, es sind unter deinen Knechten fünfzig starke Männer, die laß gehen und deinen Herrn suchen. Vielleicht hat ihn der Geist des HERRN genommen und auf irgendeinen Berg oder in irgendein Tal geworfen. Er aber sprach: Laßt sie nicht gehen! |

And when they urged him till he was ashamed, he said, Send. They sent therefore fifty men; and they sought three days, but found him not.
| 17 Mas ellos le importunaron, hasta que avergonzándose dijo: Enviad. Entonces ellos enviaron cincuenta hombres, los cuales lo buscaron tres días, mas no lo hallaron. | 17 Aber sie nötigten ihn, bis er nachgab und sprach: Laßt sie hingehen! Und sie sandten hin fünfzig Männer, und diese suchten Elia drei Tage; aber sie fanden ihn nicht. |

And when they came again to him, (for he tarried at Jericho,) he said unto them, Did I not say unto you, Go not?
| 18 Y cuando volvieron a Eliseo, que se había quedado en Jericó, él les dijo: ¿No os dije yo que no fueseis? | 18 Und sie kamen zu Elisa zurück, als er noch in Jericho war, und er sprach zu ihnen: Sagte ich euch nicht, ihr solltet nicht hingehen? |

And the men of the city said unto Elisha, Behold, I pray thee, the situation of this city is pleasant, as my lord seeth: but the water is naught, and the ground barren.
| 19 Y los hombres de la ciudad dijeron a Eliseo: He aquí, el lugar en donde está colocada esta ciudad es bueno, como mi señor ve; mas las aguas son malas, y la tierra es estéril. | 19 Und die Männer der Stadt sprachen zu Elisa: Siehe, es ist gut wohnen in dieser Stadt, wie mein Herr sieht; aber es ist böses Wasser, und es macht unfruchtbar. |

And he said, Bring me a new cruse, and put salt therein. And they brought it to him.
| 20 Entonces él dijo: Traedme una vasija nueva, y poned en ella sal. Y se la trajeron. | 20 Er sprach: Bringt mir her eine neue Schale und tut Salz hinein! Und sie brachten's ihm. |

And he went forth unto the spring of the waters, and cast the salt in there, and said, Thus saith the LORD, I have healed these waters; there shall not be from thence any more death or barren land.
| 21 Y saliendo él a los manantiales de las aguas, echó dentro la sal, y dijo: Así ha dicho Jehová: Yo sané estas aguas, y no habrá más en ellas muerte ni enfermedad. | 21 Da ging er hinaus zu der Wasserquelle und warf das Salz hinein und sprach: So spricht der HERR: Ich habe dies Wasser gesund gemacht; es soll hinfort weder Tod noch Unfruchtbarkeit von ihm kommen. |

So the waters were healed unto this day, according to the saying of Elisha which he spake.
| 22 Y fueron sanas las aguas hasta hoy, conforme a la palabra que habló Eliseo. | 22 So wurde das Wasser gesund bis auf diesen Tag nach dem Wort Elisas, das er sprach. |

And he went up from thence unto Bethel: and as he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head.
| 23 Después subió de allí a Bet-el; y subiendo por el camino, salieron unos muchachos de la ciudad, y se burlaban de él, diciendo: ¡Calvo, sube! ¡calvo, sube! | 23 Und er ging hinauf nach Bethel. Und als er den Weg hinanging, kamen kleine Knaben zur Stadt heraus und verspotteten ihn und sprachen zu ihm: Kahlkopf, komm herauf! Kahlkopf, komm herauf! |

And he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in the name of the LORD. And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty and two children of them.
| 24 Y mirando él atrás, los vio, y los maldijo en el nombre de Jehová. Y salieron dos osos del monte, y despedazaron de ellos a cuarenta y dos muchachos. | 24 Und er wandte sich um, und als er sie sah, verfluchte er sie im Namen des HERRN. Da kamen zwei Bären aus dem Walde und zerrissen zweiundvierzig von den Kindern. |

And he went from thence to mount Carmel, and from thence he returned to Samaria. | 25 De allí fue al monte Carmelo, y de allí volvió a Samaria. | 25 Von da ging er auf den Berg Karmel und kehrte von da nach Samaria zurück. |
