In the twelfth year of Ahaz king of Judah began Hoshea the son of Elah to reign in Samaria over Israel nine years.

And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, but not as the kings of Israel that were before him.

Against him came up Shalmaneser king of Assyria; and Hoshea became his servant, and gave him presents.

And the king of Assyria found conspiracy in Hoshea: for he had sent messengers to So king of Egypt, and brought no present to the king of Assyria, as he had done year by year: therefore the king of Assyria shut him up, and bound him in prison.

Then the king of Assyria came up throughout all the land, and went up to Samaria, and besieged it three years.

In the ninth year of Hoshea the king of Assyria took Samaria, and carried Israel away into Assyria, and placed them in Halah and in Habor by the river of Gozan, and in the cities of the Medes.
| 6 En el año nueve de Oseas, el rey de Asiria tomó Samaria, y llevó a Israel cautivo a Asiria, y los puso en Halah, en Habor junto al río Gozán, y en las ciudades de los medos. | 6 Und im neunten Jahr Hoscheas eroberte der König von Assyrien Samaria und führte Israel weg nach Assyrien und ließ sie wohnen in Halach und am Habor, dem Fluß von Gosan, und in den Städten der Meder. |

For so it was, that the children of Israel had sinned against the LORD their God, which had brought them up out of the land of Egypt, from under the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and had feared other gods,
| 7 Porque los hijos de Israel pecaron contra Jehová su Dios, que los sacó de tierra de Egipto, de bajo la mano de Faraón rey de Egipto, y temieron a dioses ajenos, | 7 Denn die Israeliten hatten gegen den HERRN, ihren Gott, gesündigt, der sie aus Ägyptenland geführt hatte, aus der Hand des Pharao, des Königs von Ägypten, und fürchteten andere Götter |

And walked in the statutes of the heathen, whom the LORD cast out from before the children of Israel, and of the kings of Israel, which they had made.
| 8 y anduvieron en los estatutos de las naciones que Jehová había lanzado de delante de los hijos de Israel, y en los estatutos que hicieron los reyes de Israel. | 8 und wandelten nach den Satzungen der Heiden, die der HERR vor Israel vertrieben hatte, und taten wie die Könige von Israel. |

And the children of Israel did secretly those things that were not right against the LORD their God, and they built them high places in all their cities, from the tower of the watchmen to the fenced city.
| 9 Y los hijos de Israel hicieron secretamente cosas no rectas contra Jehová su Dios, edificándose lugares altos en todas sus ciudades, desde las torres de las atalayas hasta las ciudades fortificadas, | 9 Und die Israeliten ersannen, was nicht recht war gegen den HERRN, ihren Gott, so daß sie sich Höhen bauten in allen Orten, von den Wachttürmen bis zu den festen Städten, |

And they set them up images and groves in every high hill, and under every green tree:
| 10 y levantaron estatuas e imágenes de Asera en todo collado alto, y debajo de todo árbol frondoso, | 10 und richteten Steinmale auf und Ascherabilder auf allen hohen Hügeln und unter allen grünen Bäumena |

And there they burnt incense in all the high places, as did the heathen whom the LORD carried away before them; and wrought wicked things to provoke the LORD to anger:
| 11 y quemaron allí incienso en todos los lugares altos, a la manera de la naciones que Jehová había traspuesto de delante de ellos, e hicieron cosas muy malas para provocar a ira a Jehová. | 11 und opferten auf allen Höhen wie die Heiden, die der HERR vor ihnen weggetrieben hatte, und trieben böse Dinge, womit sie den HERRN erzürnten, |

For they served idols, whereof the LORD had said unto them, Ye shall not do this thing.
| 12 Y servían a los ídolos, de los cuales Jehová les había dicho: Vosotros no habéis de hacer esto. | 12 und dienten den Götzen, von denen der HERR zu ihnen gesagt hatte: Das sollt ihr nicht tun! |

Yet the LORD testified against Israel, and against Judah, by all the prophets, and by all the seers, saying, Turn ye from your evil ways, and keep my commandments and my statutes, according to all the law which I commanded your fathers, and which I sent to you by my servants the prophets.
| 13 Jehová amonestó entonces a Israel y a Judá por medio de todos los profetas y de todos los videntes, diciendo: Volveos de vuestros malos caminos, y guardad mis mandamientos y mis ordenanzas, conforme a todas las leyes que yo prescribí a vuestros padres, y que os he enviado por medio de mis siervos los profetas. | 13 Und doch hatte der HERR Israel und Juda gewarnt durch alle Propheten und alle Seher und ihnen sagen lassen: Kehrt um von euren bösen Wegen und haltet meine Gebote und Rechte nach dem ganzen Gesetz, das ich euren Vätern geboten habe und das ich zu euch gesandt habe durch meine Knechte, die Propheten. |

Notwithstanding they would not hear, but hardened their necks, like to the neck of their fathers, that did not believe in the LORD their God.
| 14 Mas ellos no obedecieron, antes endurecieron su cerviz, como la cerviz de sus padres, los cuales no creyeron en Jehová su Dios. | 14 Aber sie gehorchten nicht, sondern versteiften ihren Nacken wie ihre Väter, die nicht an den HERRN, ihren Gott, glaubten. |

And they rejected his statutes, and his covenant that he made with their fathers, and his testimonies which he testified against them; and they followed vanity, and became vain, and went after the heathen that were round about them, concerning whom the LORD had charged them, that they should not do like them.
| 15 Y desecharon sus estatutos, y el pacto que él había hecho con sus padres, y los testimonios que él había prescrito a ellos; y siguieron la vanidad, y se hicieron vanos, y fueron en pos de las naciones que estaban alrededor de ellos, de las cuales Jehová les había mandado que no hiciesen a la manera de ellas. | 15 Dazu verachteten sie seine Gebote und seinen Bund, den er mit ihren Vätern geschlossen hatte, und seine Warnungen, die er ihnen gab, und wandelten ihren nichtigen Götzen nach und trieben Nichtiges. Sie taten wie die Heiden um sie her, von denen der HERR ihnen geboten hatte, sie sollten nicht wie diese tun. |

And they left all the commandments of the LORD their God, and made them molten images, even two calves, and made a grove, and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served Baal.
| 16 Dejaron todos los mandamientos de Jehová su Dios, y se hicieron imágenes fundidas de dos becerros, y también imágenes de Asera, y adoraron a todo el ejército de los cielos, y sirvieron a Baal; | 16 Aber sie verließen alle Gebote des HERRN, ihres Gottes, und machten sich zwei gegossene Kälber und ein Bild der Aschera und beteten alles Heer des Himmels an und dienten Baal |

And they caused their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire, and used divination and enchantments, and sold themselves to do evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.
| 17 e hicieron pasar a sus hijos y a sus hijas por fuego; y se dieron a adivinaciones y agüeros, y se entregaron a hacer lo malo ante los ojos de Jehová, provocándole a ira. | 17 und aließen ihre Söhne und Töchter durchs Feuer gehen und gingen mit Wahrsagen und Zauberei um und verkauften sich, zu tun, was dem HERRN mißfiel, um ihn zu erzürnen. |

Therefore the LORD was very angry with Israel, and removed them out of his sight: there was none left but the tribe of Judah only.
| 18 Jehová, por tanto, se airó en gran manera contra Israel, y los quitó de delante de su rostro; y no quedó sino sólo la tribu de Judá. | 18 Da wurde der HERR sehr zornig über Israel und tat es von seinem Angesicht weg, so daß nichts übrigblieb als der Stamm Juda allein. - |

Also Judah kept not the commandments of the LORD their God, but walked in the statutes of Israel which they made.
| 19 Mas ni aun Judá guardó los mandamientos de Jehová su Dios, sino que anduvieron en los estatutos de Israel, los cuales habían ellos hecho. | 19 Auch Juda hielt nicht die Gebote des HERRN, seines Gottes, sondern wandelte nach den Satzungen, nach denen Israel gelebt hatte. - |

And the LORD rejected all the seed of Israel, and afflicted them, and delivered them into the hand of spoilers, until he had cast them out of his sight.
| 20 Y desechó Jehová a toda la descendencia de Israel, y los afligió, y los entregó en manos de saqueadores, hasta echarlos de su presencia. | 20 Darum verwarf der HERR das ganze Geschlecht Israel und bedrängte sie und gab sie in die Hände der Räuber, bis er sie von seinem Angesicht wegstieß. |

For he rent Israel from the house of David; and they made Jeroboam the son of Nebat king: and Jeroboam drave Israel from following the LORD, and made them sin a great sin.
| 21 Porque separó a Israel de la casa de David, y ellos hicieron rey a Jeroboam hijo de Nabat; y Jeroboam apartó a Israel de en pos de Jehová, y les hizo cometer gran pecado. | 21 Denn der Herr riß Israel vom Hause David los, und sie machten zum König Jerobeam, den Sohn Nebats. Der wandte Israel ab vom HERRN und machte, daß sie schwer sündigten. |

For the children of Israel walked in all the sins of Jeroboam which he did; they departed not from them;
| 22 Y los hijos de Israel anduvieron en todos los pecados de Jeroboam que él hizo, sin apartarse de ellos, | 22 So wandelte Israel in allen Sünden Jerobeams, die er getan hatte, und sie ließen nicht davon ab, |

Until the LORD removed Israel out of his sight, as he had said by all his servants the prophets. So was Israel carried away out of their own land to Assyria unto this day.
| 23 hasta que Jehová quitó a Israel de delante de su rostro, como él lo había dicho por medio de todos los profetas sus siervos; e Israel fue llevado cautivo de su tierra a Asiria, hasta hoy. | 23 bis der HERR Israel von seinem Angesicht wegtat, wie er geredet hatte durch alle seine Knechte, die Propheten. So wurde Israel aus seinem Lande weggeführt nach Assyrien bis auf diesen Tag. |

And the king of Assyria brought men from Babylon, and from Cuthah, and from Ava, and from Hamath, and from Sepharvaim, and placed them in the cities of Samaria instead of the children of Israel: and they possessed Samaria, and dwelt in the cities thereof.
| 24 Y trajo el rey de Asiria gente de Babilonia, de Cuta, de Ava, de Hamat y de Sefarvaim, y los puso en las ciudades de Samaria, en lugar de los hijos de Israel; y poseyeron a Samaria, y habitaron en sus ciudades. | 24 Der König von Assyrien aber ließ Leute von Babel kommen, von Kuta, von Awa, von Hamat und Sefarwajim, und ließ sie wohnen in den Städten von Samarien an Israels Statt. Und sie nahmen Samarien ein und wohnten in seinen Städten. |

And so it was at the beginning of their dwelling there, that they feared not the LORD: therefore the LORD sent lions among them, which slew some of them.
| 25 Y aconteció al principio, cuando comenzaron a habitar allí, que no temiendo ellos a Jehová, envió Jehová contra ellos leones que los mataban. | 25 Als sie aber anfingen, dort zu wohnen, und den HERRN nicht fürchteten, sandte der HERR unter sie Löwen, die töteten sie. |

Wherefore they spake to the king of Assyria, saying, The nations which thou hast removed, and placed in the cities of Samaria, know not the manner of the God of the land: therefore he hath sent lions among them, and, behold, they slay them, because they know not the manner of the God of the land.
| 26 Dijeron, pues, al rey de Asiria: Las gentes que tú trasladaste y pusiste en las ciudades de Samaria, no conocen la ley del Dios de aquella tierra, y él ha echado leones en medio de ellos, y he aquí que los leones los matan, porque no conocen la ley del Dios de la tierra. | 26 Und man ließ dem König von Assyrien sagen: Die Völker, die du hergebracht und mit denen du die Städte Samariens besetzt hast, wissen nichts von der Verehrung des Gottes dieses Landes. Darum hat er Löwen unter sie gesandt, und siehe, diese töten sie, weil sie nichts wissen von der Verehrung des Gottes dieses Landes. |

Then the king of Assyria commanded, saying, Carry thither one of the priests whom ye brought from thence; and let them go and dwell there, and let him teach them the manner of the God of the land.
| 27 Y el rey de Asiria mandó, diciendo: Llevad allí a alguno de los sacerdotes que trajisteis de allá, y vaya y habite allí, y les enseñe la ley del Dios del país. | 27 Der König von Assyrien gebot: Bringt dorthin einen der Priester, die von dort weggeführt sind; er ziehe hin und wohne dort und lehre sie die Verehrung des Gottes des Landes. |

Then one of the priests whom they had carried away from Samaria came and dwelt in Bethel, and taught them how they should fear the LORD.
| 28 Y vino uno de los sacerdotes que habían llevado cautivo de Samaria, y habitó en Bet-el, y les enseñó cómo habían de temer a Jehová. | 28 Da kam einer der Priester, die von Samarien weggeführt waren, und wohnte in Bethel und lehrte sie, wie sie den HERRN fürchten sollten. |

Howbeit every nation made gods of their own, and put them in the houses of the high places which the Samaritans had made, every nation in their cities wherein they dwelt.
| 29 Pero cada nación se hizo sus dioses, y los pusieron en los templos de los lugares altos que habían hecho los de Samaria; cada nación en su ciudad donde habitaba. | 29 Aber jedes Volk machte sich seinen Gott und tat ihn in die Heiligtümer auf den Höhen, die die Samaritaner gemacht hatten, jedes Volk in seinen Städten, in denen es wohnte. |

And the men of Babylon made Succoth-benoth, and the men of Cuth made Nergal, and the men of Hamath made Ashima,
| 30 Los de Babilonia hicieron a Sucot-benot, los de Cuta hicieron a Nergal, y los de Hamat hicieron a Asima. | 30 Die von Babel machten sich Sukkot- Benot, die von Kuta machten sich Nergal, die von Hamat machten sich Aschima, |

And the Avites made Nibhaz and Tartak, and the Sepharvites burnt their children in fire to Adrammelech and Anammelech, the gods of Sepharvaim.
| 31 Los aveos hicieron a Nibhaz y a Tartac, y los de Sefarvaim quemaban sus hijos en el fuego para adorar a Adramelec y a Anamelec, dioses de Sefarvaim. | 31 die von Awa machten sich Nibhas und Tartak; die von Sefarwajim verbrannten ihre Söhne dem Adrammelech und Anammelech, den Göttern derer von Sefarwajim. |

So they feared the LORD, and made unto themselves of the lowest of them priests of the high places, which sacrificed for them in the houses of the high places.
| 32 Temían a Jehová, e hicieron del bajo pueblo sacerdotes de los lugares altos, que sacrificaban para ellos en los templos de los lugares altos. | 32 Und weil sie auch den HERRN fürchteten, bestellten sie sich Priester auf den Höhen aus allem Volk unter ihnen; die opferten für sie in den Heiligtümern auf den Höhen. |

They feared the LORD, and served their own gods, after the manner of the nations whom they carried away from thence.
| 33 Temían a Jehová, y honraban a sus dioses, según la costumbre de las naciones de donde habían sido trasladados. | 33 So fürchteten sie den HERRN, dienten aber auch den Göttern nach dem Brauch der Völker, von denen man sie hergebracht hatte. |

Unto this day they do after the former manners: they fear not the LORD, neither do they after their statutes, or after their ordinances, or after the law and commandment which the LORD commanded the children of Jacob, whom he named Israel;
| 34 Hasta hoy hacen como antes: ni temen a Jehová, ni guardan sus estatutos ni sus ordenanzas, ni hacen según la ley y los mandamientos que prescribió Jehová a los hijos de Jacob, al cual puso el nombre de Israel; | 34 Und bis auf diesen Tag tun sie nach den früheren Bräuchen: sie fürchten weder den HERRN, noch halten sie Satzungen und Rechte nach dem Gesetz und Gebot, das der HERR geboten hat den Söhnen Jakobs, dem er den Namen Israel gab; |

With whom the LORD had made a covenant, and charged them, saying, Ye shall not fear other gods, nor bow yourselves to them, nor serve them, nor sacrifice to them:
| 35 con los cuales Jehová había hecho pacto, y les mandó diciendo: No temeréis a otros dioses, ni los adoraréis, ni les serviréis, ni les haréis sacrificios. | 35 hatte doch der HERR einen Bund mit ihnen geschlossen und ihnen geboten: Fürchtet keine andern Götter und betet sie nicht an und dienet ihnen nicht und opfert ihnen nicht, |

But the LORD, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt with great power and a stretched out arm, him shall ye fear, and him shall ye worship, and to him shall ye do sacrifice.
| 36 Mas a Jehová, que os sacó de tierra de Egipto con grande poder y brazo extendido, a éste temeréis, y a éste adoraréis, y a éste haréis sacrificio. | 36 sondern den HERRN, der euch aus Ägyptenland geführt hat mit großer Kraft und ausgestrecktem Arm, den fürchtet, den betet an und dem opfert. |

And the statutes, and the ordinances, and the law, and the commandment, which he wrote for you, ye shall observe to do for evermore; and ye shall not fear other gods.
| 37 Los estatutos y derechos y ley y mandamientos que os dio por escrito, cuidaréis siempre de ponerlos por obra, y no temeréis a dioses ajenos. | 37 Und die Satzungen, Rechte, Gesetze und Gebote, die er euch hat aufschreiben lassen, die haltet, daß ihr danach tut allezeit, und fürchtet nicht andere Götter. |

And the covenant that I have made with you ye shall not forget; neither shall ye fear other gods.
| 38 No olvidaréis el pacto que hice con vosotros, ni temeréis a dioses ajenos; | 38 Und vergeßt nicht den Bund, den er mit euch geschlossen hat, und fürchtet nicht andere Götter, |

But the LORD your God ye shall fear; and he shall deliver you out of the hand of all your enemies.
| 39 mas temed a Jehová vuestro Dios, y él os librará de mano de todos vuestros enemigos. | 39 sondern fürchtet den HERRN, euren Gott; der wird euch erretten von allen euren Feinden. |

Howbeit they did not hearken, but they did after their former manner.
| 40 Pero ellos no escucharon; antes hicieron según su costumbre antigua. | 40 Aber sie gehorchten nicht, sondern taten nach ihren früheren Bräuchen. |

So these nations feared the LORD, and served their graven images, both their children, and their children's children: as did their fathers, so do they unto this day. | 41 Así temieron a Jehová aquellas gentes, y al mismo tiempo sirvieron a sus ídolos; y también sus hijos y sus nietos, según como hicieron sus padres, así hacen hasta hoy. | 41 So fürchteten diese Völker den HERRN und dienten zugleich ihren Götzen. Auch ihre Kinder und Kindeskinder tun, wie ihre Väter getan haben, bis auf diesen Tag. |
