In the seventeenth year of Pekah the son of Remaliah Ahaz the son of Jotham king of Judah began to reign.

Twenty years old was Ahaz when he began to reign, and reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem, and did not that which was right in the sight of the LORD his God, like David his father.

But he walked in the way of the kings of Israel, yea, and made his son to pass through the fire, according to the abominations of the heathen, whom the LORD cast out from before the children of Israel.
| 3 Antes anduvo en el camino de los reyes de Israel, y aun hizo pasar por fuego a su hijo, según las prácticas abominables de las naciones que Jehová echó de delante de los hijos de Israel. | 3 denn er wandelte auf dem Wege der Könige von Israel. Dazu ließ er seinen Sohn durchs Feuer gehen nach den greulichen Sitten der Heiden, die der HERR vor den Israeliten vertrieben hatte, |

And he sacrificed and burnt incense in the high places, and on the hills, and under every green tree.
| 4 Asimismo sacrificó y quemó incienso en los lugares altos, y sobre los collados, y debajo de todo árbol frondoso. | 4 und brachte Opfer dar und räucherte auf den Höhen und auf den Hügeln und unter allen grünen Bäumen. |

Then Rezin king of Syria and Pekah son of Remaliah king of Israel came up to Jerusalem to war: and they besieged Ahaz, but could not overcome him.
| 5 Entonces Rezín rey de Siria y Peka hijo de Remalías, rey de Israel, subieron a Jerusalén para hacer guerra y sitiar a Acaz; mas no pudieron tomarla. | 5 Damals zogen Rezin, der König von Aram, und Pekach, der Sohn Remaljas, der König von Israel, hinauf, um gegen Jerusalem zu kämpfen, und belagerten Ahas in der Stadt; aber sie konnten sie nicht erobern. |

At that time Rezin king of Syria recovered Elath to Syria, and drave the Jews from Elath: and the Syrians came to Elath, and dwelt there unto this day.
| 6 En aquel tiempo el rey de Edom recobró Elat para Edom, y echó de Elat a los hombres de Judá; y los de Edom vinieron a Elat y habitaron allí hasta hoy. | 6 Zu dieser Zeit brachte Rezin, der König von Aram, Elat wieder an Edom und vertrieb die Judäer aus Elat. Danach kamen die Edomiter und wohnten darin bis auf diesen Tag. |

So Ahaz sent messengers to Tiglath-pileser king of Assyria, saying, I am thy servant and thy son: come up, and save me out of the hand of the king of Syria, and out of the hand of the king of Israel, which rise up against me.
| 7 Entonces Acaz envió embajadores a Tiglat-pileser rey de Asiria, diciendo: Yo soy tu siervo y tu hijo; sube, y defiéndeme de mano del rey de Siria, y de mano del rey de Israel, que se han levantado contra mí. | 7 Aber Ahas sandte Boten zu Tiglat- Pileser, dem König von Assyrien, und ließ ihm sagen: Ich bin dein Knecht und dein Sohn. Komm herauf und hilf mir aus der Hand des Königs von Aram und des Königs von Israel, die sich gegen mich aufgemacht haben! |

And Ahaz took the silver and gold that was found in the house of the LORD, and in the treasures of the king's house, and sent it for a present to the king of Assyria.
| 8 Y tomando Acaz la plata y el oro que se halló en la casa de Jehová, y en los tesoros de la casa real, envió al rey de Asiria un presente. | 8 Und Ahas nahm das Silber und Gold, das sich in dem Hause des HERRN und in den Schätzen des Königshauses fand, und sandte dem König von Assyrien Geschenke. |

And the king of Assyria hearkened unto him: for the king of Assyria went up against Damascus, and took it, and carried the people of it captive to Kir, and slew Rezin.
| 9 Y le atendió el rey de Asiria; pues subió el rey de Asiria contra Damasco, y la tomó, y llevó cautivos a los moradores a Kir, y mató a Rezín. | 9 Und der König von Assyrien hörte auf ihn und zog herauf gegen Damaskus und eroberte es und führte die Einwohner weg nach Kir und tötete Rezin. |

And king Ahaz went to Damascus to meet Tiglath-pileser king of Assyria, and saw an altar that was at Damascus: and king Ahaz sent to Urijah the priest the fashion of the altar, and the pattern of it, according to all the workmanship thereof.
| 10 Después fue el rey Acaz a encontrar a Tiglat-pileser rey de Asiria en Damasco; y cuando vio el rey Acaz el altar que estaba en Damasco, envió al sacerdote Urías el diseńo y la descripción del altar, conforme a toda su hechura. | 10 Und der König Ahas zog Tiglat- Pileser entgegen, dem König von Assyrien, nach Damaskus. And Urijah the priest built an altar according to all that king Ahaz had sent from Damascus: so Urijah the priest made it against king Ahaz came from Damascus.
| 11 Y el sacerdote Urías edificó el altar; conforme a todo lo que el rey Acaz había enviado de Damasco, así lo hizo el sacerdote Urías, entre tanto que el rey Acaz venía de Damasco. | 11 Und der Priester Uria baute einen Altar und machte ihn so, wie der König Ahas zu ihm gesandt hatte von Damaskus, bis er selbst von Damaskus kam. |

And when the king was come from Damascus, the king saw the altar: and the king approached to the altar, and offered thereon.
| 12 Y luego que el rey vino de Damasco, y vio el altar, se acercó el rey a él, y ofreció sacrificios en él; | 12 Und als der König aus Damaskus zurückkam und den Altar sah, trat er heran, stieg hinauf |

And he burnt his burnt offering and his meat offering, and poured his drink offering, and sprinkled the blood of his peace offerings, upon the altar.
| 13 y encendió su holocausto y su ofrenda, y derramó sus libaciones, y esparció la sangre de sus sacrificios de paz junto al altar. | 13 und verbrannte darauf sein Brandopfer und Speisopfer und goß darauf sein Trankopfer und sprengte das Blut der Dankopfer, die er opferte, an den Altar. |

And he brought also the brasen altar, which was before the LORD, from the forefront of the house, from between the altar and the house of the LORD, and put it on the north side of the altar.
| 14 E hizo acercar el altar de bronce que estaba delante de Jehová, en la parte delantera de la casa, entre el altar y el templo de Jehová, y lo puso al lado del altar hacia el norte. | 14 Aber den kupfernen Altar, der vor dem HERRN stand, tat er weg, damit er nicht stehe zwischen dem Altar und dem Hause des HERRN, sondern setzte ihn an die Seite des neuen Altars gegen Norden. |

And king Ahaz commanded Urijah the priest, saying, Upon the great altar burn the morning burnt offering, and the evening meat offering, and the king's burnt sacrifice, and his meat offering, with the burnt offering of all the people of the land, and their meat offering, and their drink offerings; and sprinkle upon it all the blood of the burnt offering, and all the blood of the sacrifice: and the brasen altar shall be for me to enquire by.
| 15 Y mandó el rey Acaz al sacerdote Urías, diciendo: En el gran altar encenderás el holocausto de la mańana y la ofrenda de la tarde, y el holocausto del rey y su ofrenda, y asimismo el holocausto de todo el pueblo de la tierra y su ofrenda y sus libaciones; y esparcirás sobre él toda la sangre del holocausto, y toda la sangre del sacrificio. El altar de bronce será mío para consultar en él. | 15 Und der König Ahas gebot dem Priester Uria: Auf dem großen Altar sollst du anzünden die Brandopfer des Morgens und die Speisopfer des Abends und die Brandopfer des Königs und sein Speisopfer und die Brandopfer des ganzen Volks samt ihrem Speisopfer und Trankopfer; und alles Blut der Brandopfer und das Blut der Schlachtopfer sollst du daran sprengen. Aber wegen des kupfernen Altars will ich bedenken, was ich mache. |

Thus did Urijah the priest, according to all that king Ahaz commanded.

And king Ahaz cut off the borders of the bases, and removed the laver from off them; and took down the sea from off the brasen oxen that were under it, and put it upon a pavement of stones.
| 17 Y cortó el rey Acaz los tableros de las basas, y les quitó las fuentes; y quitó también el mar de sobre los bueyes de bronce que estaban debajo de él, y lo puso sobre el suelo de piedra. | 17 Und der König Ahas brach die Leisten der Gestelle ab und nahm die Kessel von ihnen herunter. Und das Meer nahm er von den kupfernen Rindern herunter, die darunter waren, und setzte es auf ein steinernes Pflaster. |

And the covert for the sabbath that they had built in the house, and the king's entry without, turned he from the house of the LORD for the king of Assyria.
| 18 Asimismo el pórtico para los días de reposo, que habían edificado en la casa, y el pasadizo de afuera, el del rey, los quitó del templo de Jehová, por causa del rey de Asiria. | 18 Auch die bedeckte Sabbathalle, die am Tempel gebaut war, und den äußeren Königseingang am Hause des HERRN änderte er, dem König von Assyrien zuliebe. |

Now the rest of the acts of Ahaz which he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
| 19 Los demás hechos que puso por obra Acaz, żno están todos escritos en el libro de las crónicas de los reyes de Judá? | 19 Was aber mehr von Ahas zu sagen ist, was er getan hat, siehe, das steht geschrieben in der Chronik der Könige von Juda. |

And Ahaz slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David: and Hezekiah his son reigned in his stead. | 20 Y durmió el rey Acaz con sus padres, y fue sepultado con ellos en la ciudad de David, y reinó en su lugar su hijo Ezequías. | 20 Und Ahas legte sich zu seinen Vätern und wurde begraben bei seinen Vätern in der Stadt Davids.
