Then the people of the land took Jehoahaz the son of Josiah, and made him king in his father's stead in Jerusalem.

And the king of Egypt made Eliakim his brother king over Judah and Jerusalem, and turned his name to Jehoiakim. And Necho took Jehoahaz his brother, and carried him to Egypt.

Jehoiakim was twenty and five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem: and he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD his God.

Against him came up Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and bound him in fetters, to carry him to Babylon.

Nebuchadnezzar also carried of the vessels of the house of the LORD to Babylon, and put them in his temple at Babylon.

Now the rest of the acts of Jehoiakim, and his abominations which he did, and that which was found in him, behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah: and Jehoiachin his son reigned in his stead.

Jehoiachin was eight years old when he began to reign, and he reigned three months and ten days in Jerusalem: and he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD.

And when the year was expired, king Nebuchadnezzar sent, and brought him to Babylon, with the goodly vessels of the house of the LORD, and made Zedekiah his brother king over Judah and Jerusalem.

Zedekiah was one and twenty years old when he began to reign, and reigned eleven years in Jerusalem.

And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD his God, and humbled not himself before Jeremiah the prophet speaking from the mouth of the LORD.

And he also rebelled against king Nebuchadnezzar, who had made him swear by God: but he stiffened his neck, and hardened his heart from turning unto the LORD God of Israel.

Moreover all the chief of the priests, and the people, transgressed very much after all the abominations of the heathen; and polluted the house of the LORD which he had hallowed in Jerusalem.
| 14 También todos los principales sacerdotes, y el pueblo, aumentaron la iniquidad, siguiendo todas las abominaciones de las naciones, y contaminando la casa de Jehová, la cual él había santificado en Jerusalén. | 14 Auch alle Oberen Judas und die Priester und das Volk versündigten sich noch mehr mit all den greulichen Sitten der Heiden und machten unrein das Haus des HERRN, das er geheiligt hatte in Jerusalem. |

And the LORD God of their fathers sent to them by his messengers, rising up betimes, and sending; because he had compassion on his people, and on his dwelling place:
| 15 Y Jehová el Dios de sus padres envió constantemente palabra a ellos por medio de sus mensajeros, porque él tenía misericordia de su pueblo y de su habitación. | 15 Und der HERR, der Gott ihrer Väter, ließ immer wieder gegen sie reden durch seine Boten; denn er hatte Mitleid mit seinem Volk und seiner Wohnung. |

But they mocked the messengers of God, and despised his words, and misused his prophets, until the wrath of the LORD arose against his people, till there was no remedy.
| 16 Mas ellos hacían escarnio de los mensajeros de Dios, y menospreciaban sus palabras, burlándose de sus profetas, hasta que subió la ira de Jehová contra su pueblo, y no hubo ya remedio. | 16 Aber sie verspotteten die Boten Gottes und verachteten seine Worte und verhöhnten seine Propheten, bis der Grimm des HERRN über sein Volk wuchs und es kein Vergeben mehr gab. |

Therefore he brought upon them the king of the Chaldees, who slew their young men with the sword in the house of their sanctuary, and had no compassion upon young man or maiden, old man, or him that stooped for age: he gave them all into his hand.
| 17 Por lo cual trajo contra ellos al rey de los caldeos, que mató a espada a sus jóvenes en la casa de su santuario, sin perdonar joven ni doncella, anciano ni decrépito; todos los entregó en sus manos. | 17 Da führte er gegen sie heran den König der Chaldäer und ließ ihre junge Mannschaft mit dem Schwert erschlagen im Hause ihres Heiligtums und verschonte weder die Jünglinge noch die Jungfrauen, weder die Alten noch die Greise; alle gab er sie in seine Hand. |

And all the vessels of the house of God, great and small, and the treasures of the house of the LORD, and the treasures of the king, and of his princes; all these he brought to Babylon.
| 18 Asimismo todos los utensilios de la casa de Dios, grandes y chicos, los tesoros de la casa de Jehová, y los tesoros de la casa del rey y de sus príncipes, todo lo llevó a Babilonia. | 18 Und alle Geräte im Hause Gottes, große und kleine, die Schätze im Hause des HERRN und die Schätze des Königs und seiner Oberen, alles ließ er nach Babel führen. |

And they burnt the house of God, and brake down the wall of Jerusalem, and burnt all the palaces thereof with fire, and destroyed all the goodly vessels thereof.
| 19 Y quemaron la casa de Dios, y rompieron el muro de Jerusalén, y consumieron a fuego todos sus palacios, y destruyeron todos sus objetos deseables. | 19 Und sie verbrannten das Haus Gottes und rissen die Mauer Jerusalems ein, und alle ihre Burgtürme brannten sie mit Feuer aus, so daß alle ihre kostbaren Geräte zunichte wurden. |

And them that had escaped from the sword carried he away to Babylon; where they were servants to him and his sons until the reign of the kingdom of Persia:
| 20 Los que escaparon de la espada fueron llevados cautivos a Babilonia, y fueron siervos de él y de sus hijos, hasta que vino el reino de los persas; | 20 Und er führte weg nach Babel alle, die das Schwert übriggelassen hatte, und sie wurden seine und seiner Söhne Knechte, bis das Königtum der Perser zur Herrschaft kam, |

To fulfil the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah, until the land had enjoyed her sabbaths: for as long as she lay desolate she kept sabbath, to fulfil threescore and ten years.
| 21 para que se cumpliese la palabra de Jehová por boca de Jeremías, hasta que la tierra hubo gozado de reposo; porque todo el tiempo de su asolamiento reposó, hasta que los setenta ańos fueron cumplidos. | 21 damit erfüllt würde das Wort des HERRN durch den Mund Jeremias. Das Land hatte die ganze Zeit über, da es wüste lag, Sabbat, bis es an seinen Sabbaten genug hatte, auf daß siebzig Jahre voll wurden. |

Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the LORD spoken by the mouth of Jeremiah might be accomplished, the LORD stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and put it also in writing, saying,
| 22 Mas al primer ańo de Ciro rey de los persas, para que se cumpliese la palabra de Jehová por boca de Jeremías, Jehová despertó el espíritu de Ciro rey de los persas, el cual hizo pregonar de palabra y también por escrito, por todo su reino, | 22 Aber im ersten Jahr des Kyrus, des Königs von Persien, erweckte der HERR - damit erfüllt würde das Wort des HERRN durch den Mund Jeremias - den Geist des Kyrus, des Königs von Persien, daß er in seinem ganzen Königreich mündlich und auch schriftlich verkünden ließ: |

Thus saith Cyrus king of Persia, All the kingdoms of the earth hath the LORD God of heaven given me; and he hath charged me to build him an house in Jerusalem, which is in Judah. Who is there among you of all his people? The LORD his God be with him, and let him go up. | 23 Así dice Ciro, rey de los persas: Jehová, el Dios de los cielos, me ha dado todos los reinos de la tierra; y él me ha mandado que le edifique casa en Jerusalén, que está en Judá. Quien haya entre vosotros de todo su pueblo, sea Jehová su Dios con él, y suba. | 23 So spricht Kyrus, der König von Persien: Der HERR, der Gott des Himmels, hat mir alle Königreiche der Erde gegeben und hat mir befohlen, ihm ein Haus zu bauen zu Jerusalem in Juda.
