Hezekiah began to reign when he was five and twenty years old, and he reigned nine and twenty years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Abijah, the daughter of Zechariah.

And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that David his father had done.

He in the first year of his reign, in the first month, opened the doors of the house of the LORD, and repaired them.

And he brought in the priests and the Levites, and gathered them together into the east street,

And said unto them, Hear me, ye Levites, sanctify now yourselves, and sanctify the house of the LORD God of your fathers, and carry forth the filthiness out of the holy place.

For our fathers have trespassed, and done that which was evil in the eyes of the LORD our God, and have forsaken him, and have turned away their faces from the habitation of the LORD, and turned their backs.
| 6 Porque nuestros padres se han rebelado, y han hecho lo malo ante los ojos de Jehová nuestro Dios; porque le dejaron, y apartaron sus rostros del tabernáculo de Jehová, y le volvieron las espaldas. | 6 Denn unsere Väter haben sich versündigt und getan, was dem HERRN, unserm Gott, mißfällt, und haben ihn verlassen und haben ihr Angesicht von der Wohnung des HERRN abgewandt und ihr den Rücken zugekehrt; |

Also they have shut up the doors of the porch, and put out the lamps, and have not burned incense nor offered burnt offerings in the holy place unto the God of Israel.
| 7 Y aun cerraron las puertas del pórtico, y apagaron las lámparas; no quemaron incienso, ni sacrificaron holocausto en el santuario al Dios de Israel. | 7 sie haben sogar die Türen an der Vorhalle zugeschlossen und die Lampen ausgelöscht und kein Räucherwerk geräuchert und dem Gott Israels kein Brandopfer im Heiligtum dargebracht. |

Wherefore the wrath of the LORD was upon Judah and Jerusalem, and he hath delivered them to trouble, to astonishment, and to hissing, as ye see with your eyes.

For, lo, our fathers have fallen by the sword, and our sons and our daughters and our wives are in captivity for this.

Now it is in mine heart to make a covenant with the LORD God of Israel, that his fierce wrath may turn away from us.

My sons, be not now negligent: for the LORD hath chosen you to stand before him, to serve him, and that ye should minister unto him, and burn incense.
| 11 Hijos míos, no os engañéis ahora, porque Jehová os ha escogido a vosotros para que estéis delante de él y le sirváis, y seáis sus ministros, y le queméis incienso. | 11 Nun, meine Söhne, seid nicht lässig; denn euch hat der HERR erwählt, daß ihr zum Dienst vor ihm stehen sollt und daß ihr seine Diener seid und ihm Opfer bringt! |

Then the Levites arose, Mahath the son of Amasai, and Joel the son of Azariah, of the sons of the Kohathites: and of the sons of Merari, Kish the son of Abdi, and Azariah the son of Jehalelel: and of the Gershonites; Joah the son of Zimmah, and Eden the son of Joah:

And of the sons of Elizaphan; Shimri, and Jeiel: and of the sons of Asaph; Zechariah, and Mattaniah:

And they gathered their brethren, and sanctified themselves, and came, according to the commandment of the king, by the words of the LORD, to cleanse the house of the LORD.
| 15 Estos reunieron a sus hermanos, y se santificaron, y entraron, conforme al mandamiento del rey y las palabras de Jehová, para limpiar la casa de Jehová. | 15 Sie versammelten ihre Brüder und heiligten sich und gingen hinein, um das Haus des HERRN zu reinigen, wie der König nach dem Wort des HERRN geboten hatte. |

And the priests went into the inner part of the house of the LORD, to cleanse it, and brought out all the uncleanness that they found in the temple of the LORD into the court of the house of the LORD. And the Levites took it, to carry it out abroad into the brook Kidron.
| 16 Y entrando los sacerdotes dentro de la casa de Jehová para limpiarla, sacaron toda la inmundicia que hallaron en el templo de Jehová, al atrio de la casa de Jehová; y de allí los levitas la llevaron fuera al torrente de Cedrón. | 16 Die Priester aber gingen ins Innere des Hauses des HERRN, um es zu reinigen, und taten alles Unreine, das im Tempel des HERRN gefunden wurde, auf den Vorhof am Hause des HERRN, und die Leviten nahmen es auf und trugen es hinaus an den Bach Kidron. |

Now they began on the first day of the first month to sanctify, and on the eighth day of the month came they to the porch of the LORD: so they sanctified the house of the LORD in eight days; and in the sixteenth day of the first month they made an end.
| 17 Comenzaron a santificarse el día primero del mes primero, y a los ocho
del mismo mes vinieron al pórtico de Jehová; y santificaron la casa de Jehová en ocho días, y en el día dieciséis del mes primero terminaron. | 17 Mit der Weihe aber fingen sie am ersten Tage des ersten Monats an, und am achten Tage des Monats gingen sie in die Vorhalle des HERRN und weihten das Haus des HERRN acht Tage lang, und am sechzehnten Tage des ersten Monats vollendeten sie das Werk. |

Then they went in to Hezekiah the king, and said, We have cleansed all the house of the LORD, and the altar of burnt offering, with all the vessels thereof, and the shewbread table, with all the vessels thereof.
| 18 Entonces vinieron al rey Ezequías y le dijeron: Ya hemos limpiado toda la casa de Jehová, el altar del holocausto, y todos sus instrumentos, y la mesa de la proposición con todos sus utensilios. | 18 Und sie gingen hin zum König Hiskia und sprachen: Wir haben gereinigt das ganze Haus des HERRN, den Brandopferaltar und alle seine Geräte, den Tisch der Schaubrote und alle seine Geräte; |

Moreover all the vessels, which king Ahaz in his reign did cast away in his transgression, have we prepared and sanctified, and, behold, they are before the altar of the LORD.
| 19 Asimismo hemos preparado y santificado todos los utensilios que en su infidelidad había desechado el rey Acaz, cuando reinaba; y he aquí están delante del altar de Jehová. | 19 und alle Geräte, die der König Ahas, als er König war, hatte wegwerfen lassen, als er sich versündigte, die haben wir wieder aufgestellt und geweiht; siehe, sie sind vor dem Altar des HERRN. |

Then Hezekiah the king rose early, and gathered the rulers of the city, and went up to the house of the LORD.
| 20 Y levantándose de mañana, el rey Ezequías reunió los principales de la ciudad, y subió a la casa de Jehová. | 20 Da machte sich der König Hiskia früh auf und versammelte die Oberen der Stadt und ging hinauf zum Hause des HERRN. |

And they brought seven bullocks, and seven rams, and seven lambs, and seven he goats, for a sin offering for the kingdom, and for the sanctuary, and for Judah. And he commanded the priests the sons of Aaron to offer them on the altar of the LORD.
| 21 Y presentaron siete novillos, siete carneros, siete corderos y siete machos cabríos para expiación por el reino, por el santuario y por Judá. Y dijo a los sacerdotes hijos de Aarón que los ofreciesen sobre el altar de Jehová. | 21 Und sie brachten herzu sieben junge Stiere, sieben Widder, sieben Lämmer und sieben Ziegenböcke zum Sündopfer für das Königreich, für das Heiligtum und für Juda, und er sprach zu den Priestern, den Söhnen Aaron, daß sie auf dem Altar des HERRN opfern sollten. |

So they killed the bullocks, and the priests received the blood, and sprinkled it on the altar: likewise, when they had killed the rams, they sprinkled the blood upon the altar: they killed also the lambs, and they sprinkled the blood upon the altar.
| 22 Mataron, pues, los novillos, y los sacerdotes recibieron la sangre, y la esparcieron sobre el altar; mataron luego los carneros, y esparcieron la sangre sobre el altar; asimismo mataron los corderos, y esparcieron la sangre sobre el altar. | 22 Da schlachteten sie die Rinder, und die Priester nahmen das Blut und sprengten es an den Altar, und sie schlachteten die Widder und sprengten das Blut an den Altar, und sie schlachteten die Lämmer und sprengten das Blut an den Altar. |

And they brought forth the he goats for the sin offering before the king and the congregation; and they laid their hands upon them:

And the priests killed them, and they made reconciliation with their blood upon the altar, to make an atonement for all Israel: for the king commanded that the burnt offering and the sin offering should be made for all Israel.
| 24 y los sacerdotes los mataron, e hicieron ofrenda de expiación con la sangre de ellos sobre el altar, para reconciliar a todo Israel; porque por todo Israel mandó el rey hacer el holocausto y la expiación. | 24 und die Priester schlachteten sie und taten ihr Blut zur Entsündigung an den Altar, um Sühne zu schaffen für ganz Israel; denn der König hatte befohlen, Brandopfer und Sündopfer darzubringen für ganz Israel. |

And he set the Levites in the house of the LORD with cymbals, with psalteries, and with harps, according to the commandment of David, and of Gad the king's seer, and Nathan the prophet: for so was the commandment of the LORD by his prophets.
| 25 Puso también levitas en la casa de Jehová con címbalos, salterios y arpas, conforme al mandamiento de David, de Gad vidente del rey, y del profeta Natán, porque aquel mandamiento procedía de Jehová por medio de sus profetas. | 25 Und er stellte die Leviten auf im Hause des HERRN mit Zimbeln, Psaltern und Harfen, wie es David befohlen hatte und Gad, der Seher des Königs, und der Prophet Nathan; denn es war des HERRN Gebot durch seine Propheten. |

And the Levites stood with the instruments of David, and the priests with the trumpets.
| 26 Y los levitas estaban con los instrumentos de David, y los sacerdotes con trompetas. | 26 Und so standen die Leviten mit den Saitenspielen Davids und die Priester mit den Trompeten. |

And Hezekiah commanded to offer the burnt offering upon the altar. And when the burnt offering began, the song of the LORD began also with the trumpets, and with the instruments ordained by David king of Israel.
| 27 Entonces mandó Ezequías sacrificar el holocausto en el altar; y cuando comenzó el holocausto, comenzó también el cántico de Jehová, con las trompetas y los instrumentos de David rey de Israel. | 27 Und Hiskia gebot, das Brandopfer auf dem Altar darzubringen. Und um die Zeit, da das Brandopfer anfing, begann auch der Gesang für den HERRN und die Trompeten und dazu die mancherlei Saitenspiele Davids, des Königs von Israel. |

And all the congregation worshipped, and the singers sang, and the trumpeters sounded: and all this continued until the burnt offering was finished.
| 28 Y toda la multitud adoraba, y los cantores cantaban, y los trompeteros sonaban las trompetas; todo esto duró hasta consumirse el holocausto. | 28 Und die ganze Gemeinde betete an, und der Gesang erscholl und die Trompeten ertönten; und das alles währte so lange, bis das Brandopfer vollendet war. |

And when they had made an end of offering, the king and all that were present with him bowed themselves, and worshipped.
| 29 Y cuando acabaron de ofrecer, se inclinó el rey, y todos los que con él estaban, y adoraron. | 29 Als nun das Brandopfer verrichtet war, beugten der König und alle, die sich bei ihm befanden, die Knie und beteten an. |

Moreover Hezekiah the king and the princes commanded the Levites to sing praise unto the LORD with the words of David, and of Asaph the seer. And they sang praises with gladness, and they bowed their heads and worshipped.
| 30 Entonces el rey Ezequías y los príncipes dijeron a los levitas que alabasen a Jehová con las palabras de David y de Asaf vidente; y ellos alabaron con gran alegría, y se inclinaron y adoraron. | 30 Und der König Hiskia samt den Oberen gebot den Leviten, den HERRN zu loben mit den Liedern Davids und des Sehers Asaf. Und sie lobten mit Freuden und neigten sich und beteten an. |

Then Hezekiah answered and said, Now ye have consecrated yourselves unto the LORD, come near and bring sacrifices and thank offerings into the house of the LORD. And the congregation brought in sacrifices and thank offerings; and as many as were of a free heart burnt offerings.
| 31 Y respondiendo Ezequías, dijo: Vosotros os habéis consagrado ahora a Jehová; acercaos, pues, y presentad sacrificios y alabanzas en la casa de Jehová. Y la multitud presentó sacrificios y alabanzas; y todos los generosos de corazón trajeron holocaustos. | 31 Und Hiskia hob an und sprach: Nun habt ihr für den HERRN eure Hände gefüllt. Tretet herzu und bringt die Schlachtopfer und Lobopfer zum Hause des HERRN! Und die Gemeinde brachte herzu Schlachtopfer und Lobopfer, dazu jeder, der willigen Herzens war, Brandopfer. |

And the number of the burnt offerings, which the congregation brought, was threescore and ten bullocks, an hundred rams, and two hundred lambs: all these were for a burnt offering to the LORD.
| 32 Y fue el número de los holocaustos que trajo la congregación, setenta bueyes, cien carneros y doscientos corderos, todo para el holocausto de Jehová. | 32 Und die Zahl der Brandopfer, die die Gemeinde brachte, war siebzig Rinder, hundert Widder und zweihundert Lämmer, dies alles zum Brandopfer für den HERRN. |

And the consecrated things were six hundred oxen and three thousand sheep.
| 33 Y las ofrendas fueron seiscientos bueyes y tres mil ovejas. | 33 Es waren aber der geweihten Tiere sechshundert Rinder und dreitausend Schafe. |

But the priests were too few, so that they could not flay all the burnt offerings: wherefore their brethren the Levites did help them, till the work was ended, and until the other priests had sanctified themselves: for the Levites were more upright in heart to sanctify themselves than the priests.
| 34 Mas los sacerdotes eran pocos, y no bastaban para desollar los holocaustos; y así sus hermanos los levitas les ayudaron hasta que acabaron la obra, y hasta que los demás sacerdotes se santificaron; porque los levitas fueron más rectos de corazón para santificarse que los sacerdotes. | 34 Aber die Priester waren zu wenig, um allen Brandopfern die Haut abziehen zu können. Darum halfen ihnen ihre Brüder, die Leviten, bis die Arbeit verrichtet war und bis sich die Priester geheiligt hatten; denn die Leviten waren williger gewesen als die Priester, sich zu heiligen. |

And also the burnt offerings were in abundance, with the fat of the peace offerings, and the drink offerings for every burnt offering. So the service of the house of the LORD was set in order.
| 35 Así, pues, hubo abundancia de holocaustos, con grosura de las ofrendas de paz, y libaciones para cada holocausto. Y quedó restablecido el servicio de la casa de Jehová. | 35 Auch waren es viele Brandopfer mit dem Fett der Dankopfer und mit den Trankopfern zu den Brandopfern. So wurde der Dienst am Hause des HERRN geordnet. |

And Hezekiah rejoiced, and all the people, that God had prepared the people: for the thing was done suddenly. | 36 Y se alegró Ezequías con todo el pueblo, de que Dios hubiese preparado el pueblo; porque la cosa fue hecha rápidamente. | 36 Und Hiskia freute sich samt allem Volk über das, was Gott dem Volke bereitet hatte; denn es war unvermutet schnell gekommen. |
