Ahaz was twenty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem: but he did not that which was right in the sight of the LORD, like David his father:

For he walked in the ways of the kings of Israel, and made also molten images for Baalim.

Moreover he burnt incense in the valley of the son of Hinnom, and burnt his children in the fire, after the abominations of the heathen whom the LORD had cast out before the children of Israel.
| 3 Quemó también incienso en el valle de los hijos de Hinom, e hizo pasar a sus hijos por fuego, conforme a las abominaciones de las naciones que Jehová había arrojado de la presencia de los hijos de Israel. | 3 und opferte im Tal Ben-Hinnom und verbrannte seine Söhne im Feuer nach den greulichen Sitten der Heiden, die der HERR vor den Israeliten vertrieben hatte, |

He sacrificed also and burnt incense in the high places, and on the hills, and under every green tree.
| 4 Asimismo sacrificó y quemó incienso en los lugares altos, en los collados, y debajo de todo árbol frondoso. | 4 und opferte und räucherte auf den Höhen und auf den Hügeln und unter allen grünen Bäumen. |

Wherefore the LORD his God delivered him into the hand of the king of Syria; and they smote him, and carried away a great multitude of them captives, and brought them to Damascus. And he was also delivered into the hand of the king of Israel, who smote him with a great slaughter.
| 5 Por lo cual Jehová su Dios lo entregó en manos del rey de los sirios, los cuales lo derrotaron, y le tomaron gran número de prisioneros que llevaron a Damasco. Fue también entregado en manos del rey de Israel, el cual lo batió con gran mortandad. | 5 Darum gab ihn der HERR, sein Gott, in die Hand des Königs von Aram, daß sie ihn schlugen und eine große Menge der Seinen gefangen wegführten und nach Damaskus brachten. For Pekah the son of Remaliah slew in Judah an hundred and twenty thousand in one day, which were all valiant men; because they had forsaken the LORD God of their fathers.
| 6 Porque Peka hijo de Remalías mató en Judá en un día ciento veinte mil hombres valientes, por cuanto habían dejado a Jehová el Dios de sus padres. | 6 denn Pekach, der Sohn Remaljas, schlug in Juda hundertundzwanzigtausend streitbare Männer auf einen Tag, weil sie den HERRN, den Gott ihrer Väter, verlassen hatten. |

And Zichri, a mighty man of Ephraim, slew Maaseiah the king's son, and Azrikam the governor of the house, and Elkanah that was next to the king.
| 7 Asimismo Zicri, hombre poderoso de Efraín, mató a Maasías hijo del rey, a Azricam su mayordomo, y a Elcana, segundo después del rey. | 7 Und Sichri, ein Kriegsmann aus Ephraim, erschlug Maaseja, den Königssohn, und Asrikam, den Vorsteher des Königshauses, und Elkana, den Ersten nach dem König. |

And the children of Israel carried away captive of their brethren two hundred thousand, women, sons, and daughters, and took also away much spoil from them, and brought the spoil to Samaria.
| 8 También los hijos de Israel tomaron cautivos de sus hermanos a doscientos mil, mujeres, muchachos y muchachas, además de haber tomado de ellos mucho botín que llevaron a Samaria. | 8 Und die von Israel führten von ihren Brüdern zweihunderttausend Frauen, Söhne und Töchter gefangen weg und nahmen dazu große Beute von ihnen und brachten sie nach Samaria. |

But a prophet of the LORD was there, whose name was Oded: and he went out before the host that came to Samaria, and said unto them, Behold, because the LORD God of your fathers was wroth with Judah, he hath delivered them into your hand, and ye have slain them in a rage that reacheth up unto heaven.
| 9 Había entonces allí un profeta de Jehová que se llamaba Oded, el cual salió delante del ejército cuando entraba en Samaria, y les dijo: He aquí, Jehová el Dios de vuestros padres, por el enojo contra Judá, los ha entregado en vuestras manos; y vosotros los habéis matado con ira que ha llegado hasta el cielo. | 9 Es war aber dort ein Prophet des HERRN, der hieß Oded. Der ging hinaus dem Heer entgegen, das nach Samaria kam, und sprach zu ihnen: Siehe, weil der HERR, der Gott eurer Väter, über Juda zornig ist, hat er sie in eure Hände gegeben; ihr aber habt sie mit solcher Wut erschlagen, daß es gen Himmel schreit. |

And now ye purpose to keep under the children of Judah and Jerusalem for bondmen and bondwomen unto you: but are there not with you, even with you, sins against the LORD your God?
| 10 Y ahora habéis determinado sujetar a vosotros a Judá y a Jerusalén como siervos y siervas; mas żno habéis pecado vosotros contra Jehová vuestro Dios? | 10 Nun gedenkt ihr, die Leute von Juda und Jerusalem zu unterwerfen, daß sie eure Sklaven und Sklavinnen seien. Ist denn das nicht Schuld bei euch gegenüber dem HERRN, eurem Gott? |

Now hear me therefore, and deliver the captives again, which ye have taken captive of your brethren: for the fierce wrath of the LORD is upon you.
| 11 Oídme, pues, ahora, y devolved a los cautivos que habéis tomado de vuestros hermanos; porque Jehová está airado contra vosotros. | 11 So hört nun auf mich und bringt die Gefangenen wieder hin, die ihr aus euren Brüdern weggeführt habt; denn des HERRN Zorn ist über euch entbrannt. |

Then certain of the heads of the children of Ephraim, Azariah the son of Johanan, Berechiah the son of Meshillemoth, and Jehizkiah the son of Shallum, and Amasa the son of Hadlai, stood up against them that came from the war,
| 12 Entonces se levantaron algunos varones de los principales de los hijos de Efraín, Azarías hijo de Johanán, Berequías hijo de Mesilemot, Ezequías hijo de Salum, y Amasa hijo de Hadlai, contra los que venían de la guerra. | 12 Da traten auf einige Sippenhäupter von Ephraim - Asarja, der Sohn Johanans, Berechja, der Sohn Meschillemots, Jehiskija, der Sohn Schallums, und Amasa, der Sohn Hadlais - gegen die, die aus dem Kampf kamen, |

And said unto them, Ye shall not bring in the captives hither: for whereas we have offended against the LORD already, ye intend to add more to our sins and to our trespass: for our trespass is great, and there is fierce wrath against Israel.
| 13 Y les dijeron: No traigáis aquí a los cautivos, porque el pecado contra Jehová estará sobre nosotros. Vosotros tratáis de ańadir sobre nuestros pecados y sobre nuestras culpas, siendo muy grande nuestro delito, y el ardor de la ira contra Israel. | 13 und sprachen zu ihnen: Ihr sollt die Gefangenen nicht hierherbringen; denn ihr bringt Schuld vor dem HERRN über uns, so daß ihr unsere Sünde und Schuld nur noch größer macht. Es ist schon genug der Schuld, und der Zorn des HERRN ist über Israel entbrannt. |

So the armed men left the captives and the spoil before the princes and all the congregation.
| 14 Entonces el ejército dejó a los cautivos y el botín delante de los príncipes y de toda la multitud. | 14 Da gaben die Kriegsleute die Gefangenen und die Beute frei vor den Obersten und vor der ganzen Gemeinde. |

And the men which were expressed by name rose up, and took the captives, and with the spoil clothed all that were naked among them, and arrayed them, and shod them, and gave them to eat and to drink, and anointed them, and carried all the feeble of them upon asses, and brought them to Jericho, the city of palm trees, to their brethren: then they returned to Samaria.
| 15 Y se levantaron los varones nombrados, y tomaron a los cautivos, y del despojo vistieron a los que de ellos estaban desnudos; los vistieron, los calzaron, y les dieron de comer y de beber, los ungieron, y condujeron en asnos a todos los débiles, y los llevaron hasta Jericó, ciudad de las palmeras, cerca de sus hermanos; y ellos volvieron a Samaria. | 15 Und jene Männer, die mit Namen genannt sind, nahmen die Gefangenen und bekleideten alle, die bloß unter ihnen waren, mit Kleidern aus der Beute und zogen ihnen Schuhe an und gaben ihnen zu essen und zu trinken und salbten sie, und alle, die schwach waren, führten sie auf Eseln und brachten sie nach Jericho, zur Palmenstadt, zu ihren Brüdern und kehrten nach Samaria zurück. |

At that time did king Ahaz send unto the kings of Assyria to help him.
| 16 En aquel tiempo envió a pedir el rey Acaz a los reyes de Asiria que le ayudasen. | 16 Zu derselben Zeit sandte der König Ahas zu dem König von Assur, daß er ihm helfe. |

For again the Edomites had come and smitten Judah, and carried away captives.
| 17 Porque también los edomitas habían venido y atacado a los de Judá, y habían llevado cautivos. | 17 Und es kamen abermals die Edomiter und schlugen Juda und führten einige weg. |

The Philistines also had invaded the cities of the low country, and of the south of Judah, and had taken Beth-shemesh, and Ajalon, and Gederoth, and Shocho with the villages thereof, and Timnah with the villages thereof, Gimzo also and the villages thereof: and they dwelt there.
| 18 Asimismo los filisteos se habían extendido por las ciudades de la Sefela y del Neguev de Judá, y habían tomado Bet-semes, Ajalón, Gederot, Soco con sus aldeas, Timna también con sus aldeas, y Gimzo con sus aldeas; y habitaban en ellas. | 18 Auch die Philister fielen ein in die Städte im Hügelland und im Südlande Judas und eroberten Bet-Schemesch, Ajalon, Gederot und Socho mit seinen Ortschaften und Timna mit seinen Ortschaften und Gimso mit seinen Ortschaften und wohnten darin; |

For the LORD brought Judah low because of Ahaz king of Israel; for he made Judah naked, and transgressed sore against the LORD.
| 19 Porque Jehová había humillado a Judá por causa de Acaz rey de Israel, por cuanto él había actuado desenfrenadamente en Judá, y había prevaricado gravemente contra Jehová. | 19 denn der HERR demütigte Juda um des Ahas willen, des Königs von Juda, weil er in Juda ein zuchtloses Wesen aufkommen ließ und sich am HERRN versündigte. |

And Tilgath-pilneser king of Assyria came unto him, and distressed him, but strengthened him not.
| 20 También vino contra él Tiglat-pileser rey de los asirios, quien lo redujo a estrechez, y no lo fortaleció. | 20 So zog auch gegen ihn Tiglat-Pileser, der König von Assur; der bedrängte ihn und half ihm nicht; |

For Ahaz took away a portion out of the house of the LORD, and out of the house of the king, and of the princes, and gave it unto the king of Assyria: but he helped him not.
| 21 No obstante que despojó Acaz la casa de Jehová, y la casa real, y las de los príncipes, para dar al rey de los asirios, éste no le ayudó. | 21 denn obwohl Ahas das Haus des HERRN und das Haus des Königs und die Häuser der Oberen plünderte und es dem König von Assur gab, half es ihm nichts. |

And in the time of his distress did he trespass yet more against the LORD: this is that king Ahaz.
| 22 Además el rey Acaz en el tiempo que aquel le apuraba, ańadió mayor pecado contra Jehová; | 22 Dazu versündigte sich der König Ahas in seiner Not noch mehr am HERRN |

For he sacrificed unto the gods of Damascus, which smote him: and he said, Because the gods of the kings of Syria help them, therefore will I sacrifice to them, that they may help me. But they were the ruin of him, and of all Israel.
| 23 porque ofreció sacrificios a los dioses de Damasco que le habían derrotado, y dijo: Pues que los dioses de los reyes de Siria les ayudan, yo también ofreceré sacrificios a ellos para que me ayuden; bien que fueron éstos su ruina, y la de todo Israel. | 23 und opferte den Göttern von Damaskus, die ihn geschlagen hatten, und sprach: Die Götter der Könige von Aram helfen ihnen; darum will ich ihnen opfern, daß sie mir auch helfen. Aber diese brachten ihn und ganz Israel zu Fall. |

And Ahaz gathered together the vessels of the house of God, and cut in pieces the vessels of the house of God, and shut up the doors of the house of the LORD, and he made him altars in every corner of Jerusalem.
| 24 Además de eso recogió Acaz los utensilios de la casa de Dios, y los quebró, y cerró las puertas de la casa de Jehová, y se hizo altares en Jerusalén en todos los rincones. | 24 Und Ahas brachte die Geräte des Hauses Gottes zusammen und zerschlug sie und schloß die Türen zu am Hause des HERRN und machte sich Altäre in allen Winkeln Jerusalems. |

And in every several city of Judah he made high places to burn incense unto other gods, and provoked to anger the LORD God of his fathers.
| 25 Hizo también lugares altos en todas las ciudades de Judá, para quemar incienso a los dioses ajenos, provocando así a ira a Jehová el Dios de sus padres. | 25 Und in den Städten Judas hin und her machte er Höhen, um andern Göttern zu opfern, und reizte den HERRN, den Gott seiner Väter. |

Now the rest of his acts and of all his ways, first and last, behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel.
| 26 Los demás de sus hechos, y todos su caminos, primeros y postreros, he aquí están escritos en el libro de los reyes de Judá y de Israel. | 26 Was aber mehr von ihm zu sagen ist und sein ganzer Wandel, der frühere und der spätere, siehe, das steht geschrieben im Buch der Könige von Juda und Israel. |

And Ahaz slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city, even in Jerusalem: but they brought him not into the sepulchres of the kings of Israel: and Hezekiah his son reigned in his stead. | 27 Y durmió Acaz con sus padres, y lo sepultaron en la ciudad de Jerusalén, pero no lo metieron en los sepulcros de los reyes de Israel; y reinó en su lugar Ezequías su hijo. | 27 Und Ahas legte sich zu seinen Vätern, und sie begruben ihn in der Stadt, in Jerusalem; denn sie brachten ihn nicht in die Gräber der Könige von Israel. Und sein Sohn Hiskia wurde König an seiner Statt. |
