And the inhabitants of Jerusalem made Ahaziah his youngest son king in his stead: for the band of men that came with the Arabians to the camp had slain all the eldest. So Ahaziah the son of Jehoram king of Judah reigned.

Forty and two years old was Ahaziah when he began to reign, and he reigned one year in Jerusalem. His mother's name also was Athaliah the daughter of Omri.
| 2 Cuando Ocozías comenzó a reinar era de cuarenta y dos ańos, y reinó un ańo en Jerusalén. El nombre de su madre fue Atalía, hija de Omri. | 2 Zweiundzwanzig Jahre alt war Ahasja, als er König wurde; und er regierte ein Jahr zu Jerusalem. Seine Mutter hieß Atalja, die Tochter Omris. |

He also walked in the ways of the house of Ahab: for his mother was his aBI-EzRITES to do wickedly.

Wherefore he did evil in the sight of the LORD like the house of Ahab: for they were his aBEL-MEHOLaH after the death of his father to his destruction.

He walked also after their counsel, and went with Jehoram the son of Ahab king of Israel to war against Hazael king of Syria at Ramoth-gilead: and the Syrians smote Joram.
| 5 Y él anduvo en los consejos de ellos, y fue a la guerra con Joram hijo de Acab, rey de Israel, contra Hazael rey de Siria, a Ramot de Galaad, donde los sirios hirieron a Joram. | 5 Er wandelte nach ihrem Rat; denn er zog hin mit Joram, dem Sohn Ahabs, dem König von Israel, in den Kampf nach Ramot in Gilead gegen Hasaël, den König von Aram. And he returned to be healed in Jezreel because of the wounds which were given him at Ramah, when he fought with Hazael king of Syria. And Azariah the son of Jehoram king of Judah went down to see Jehoram the son of Ahab at Jezreel, because he was sick.
| 6 Y volvió para curarse en Jezreel de las heridas que le habían hecho en Ramot, peleando contra Hazael rey de Siria. Y descendió Ocozías hijo de Joram, rey de Judá, para visitar a Joram hijo de Acab en Jezreel, porque allí estaba enfermo. | 6 so daß er umkehrte, um sich in Jesreel heilen zu lassen von den Wunden, die ihm bei Rama geschlagen waren, als er mit Hasaël, dem König von Aram, kämpfte. Und Ahasja, der Sohn Jorams, der König von Juda, zog hinab, um Joram, den Sohn Ahabs, in Jesreel zu besuchen, weil er krank lag; |

And the destruction of Ahaziah was of God by coming to Joram: for when he was come, he went out with Jehoram against Jehu the son of Nimshi, whom the LORD had anointed to cut off the house of Ahab.
| 7 Pero esto venía de Dios, para que Ocozías fuese destruido viniendo a Joram; porque habiendo venido, salió con Joram contra Jehú hijo de Nimsi, al cual Jehová había ungido para que exterminara la familia de Acab. | 7 denn es war von Gott über Ahasja zu seinem Verderben beschlossen, daß er zu Joram käme. Und als er kam, zog er mit Joram aus gegen Jehu, den Sohn Nimschis, den der HERR gesalbt hatte, um das Haus Ahab auszurotten. |

And it came to pass, that, when Jehu was executing judgment upon the house of Ahab, and found the princes of Judah, and the sons of the brethren of Ahaziah, that ministered to Ahaziah, he slew them.
| 8 Y haciendo juicio Jehú contra la casa de Acab, halló a los príncipes de Judá, y a los hijos de los hermanos de Ocozías, que servían a Ocozías, y los mató. | 8 Als nun Jehu die Strafe am Hause Ahab vollzog, traf er auf einige Obere aus Juda und auf die Söhne der Brüder Ahasjas, die Ahasja dienten, und er tötete sie. |

And he sought Ahaziah: and they caught him, (for he was hid in Samaria,) and brought him to Jehu: and when they had slain him, they buried him: Because, said they, he is the son of Jehoshaphat, who sought the LORD with all his heart. So the house of Ahaziah had no power to keep still the kingdom.
| 9 Y buscando a Ocozías, el cual se había escondido en Samaria, lo hallaron y lo trajeron a Jehú, y le mataron; y le dieron sepultura, porque dijeron: Es hijo de Josafat, quien de todo su corazón buscó a Jehová. Y la casa de Ocozías no tenía fuerzas para poder retener el reino. | 9 Und er suchte Ahasja, und man fing ihn in Samaria, wo er sich versteckt hatte, und er wurde zu Jehu gebracht. Der tötete ihn, und man begrub ihn; denn sie sprachen: Er ist Joschafats Sohn, der von ganzem Herzen den HERRN suchte. Und es war niemand mehr aus dem Hause Ahasjas, der zum Königtum tüchtig war. |

But when Athaliah the mother of Ahaziah saw that her son was dead, she arose and destroyed all the seed royal of the house of Judah.
| 10 Entonces Atalía madre de Ocozías, viendo que su hijo era muerto, se levantó y exterminó toda la descendencia real de la casa de Judá. | 10 Als aber Atalja, die Mutter Ahasjas, sah, daß ihr Sohn tot war, machte sie sich auf und brachte um alle vom königlichen Geschlecht im Hause Juda. |

But Jehoshabeath, the daughter of the king, took Joash the son of Ahaziah, and stole him from among the king's sons that were slain, and put him and his nurse in a bedchamber. So Jehoshabeath, the daughter of king Jehoram, the wife of Jehoiada the priest, (for she was the sister of Ahaziah,) hid him from Athaliah, so that she slew him not.
| 11 Pero Josabet, hija del rey, tomó a Joás hijo de Ocozías, y escondiéndolo de entre los demás hijos del rey, a los cuales mataban, le guardó a él y a su ama en uno de los aposentos. Así lo escondió Josabet, hija del rey Joram, mujer del sacerdote Joiada (porque ella era hermana de Ocozías), de delante de Atalía, y no lo mataron. | 11 Aber Joscheba, eine Königstochter, nahm Joasch, den Sohn Ahasjas, und stahl ihn aus der Mitte der Söhne des Königs, die getötet wurden, und brachte ihn mit seiner Amme in die Bettenkammer. So verbarg ihn Joscheba, die Tochter des Königs Joram, die Frau des Priesters Jojada, - denn sie war Ahasjas Schwester - vor Atalja, so daß er nicht getötet wurde. |

And he was with them hid in the house of God six years: and Athaliah reigned over the land. | 12 Y estuvo con ellos escondido en la casa de Dios seis ańos. Entre tanto, Atalía reinaba en el país. | 12 Und er war bei ihnen im Hause Gottes versteckt sechs Jahre, solange Atalja im Lande Königin war. |
