Now Jehoshaphat slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David. And Jehoram his son reigned in his stead.

And he had brethren the sons of Jehoshaphat, Azariah, and Jehiel, and Zechariah, and Azariah, and Michael, and Shephatiah: all these were the sons of Jehoshaphat king of Israel.
| 2 quien tuvo por hermanos, hijos de Josafat, a Azarías, Jehiel, Zacarías, Azarías, Micael, y Sefatías. Todos estos fueron hijos de Josafat rey de Judá. | 2 Und Joram hatte Brüder, Joschafats Söhne: Asarja, Jehïl, Secharja, Asarja, Michael und Schefatja; diese alle waren Söhne Joschafats, des Königs von Juda. |

And their father gave them great gifts of silver, and of gold, and of precious things, with fenced cities in Judah: but the kingdom gave he to Jehoram; because he was the firstborn.
| 3 Y su padre les había dado muchos regalos de oro y de plata, y cosas preciosas, y ciudades fortificadas en Judá; pero había dado el reino a Joram, porque él era el primogénito. | 3 Und ihr Vater gab ihnen viele Gaben an Silber, Gold und Kleinoden, dazu feste Städte in Juda; aber das Königtum gab er Joram; denn der war der Erstgeborene. |

Now when Jehoram was risen up to the kingdom of his father, he strengthened himself, and slew all his brethren with the sword, and divers also of the princes of Israel.
| 4 Fue elevado, pues, Joram al reino de su padre; y luego que se hizo fuerte, mató a espada a todos sus hermanos, y también a algunos de los príncipes de Israel. | 4 Als aber Joram das Königtum seines Vaters übernommen hatte und mächtig wurde, erschlug er alle seine Brüder mit dem Schwert, dazu auch einige Obere in Israel. |

Jehoram was thirty and two years old when he began to reign, and he reigned eight years in Jerusalem.
| 5 Cuando comenzó a reinar era de treinta y dos años, y reinó ocho años en Jerusalén. | 5 Zweiunddreißig Jahre alt war Joram, als er König wurde; und er regierte acht Jahre zu Jerusalem |

And he walked in the way of the kings of Israel, like as did the house of Ahab: for he had the daughter of Ahab to wife: and he wrought that which was evil in the eyes of the LORD.
| 6 Y anduvo en el camino de los reyes de Israel, como lo hizo la casa de Acab; porque tenía por mujer a la hija de Acab, e hizo lo malo ante los ojos de Jehová. | 6 und wandelte in dem Wege der Könige von Israel, wie das Haus Ahab getan hatte; denn Ahabs Tochter war seine Frau. Und er tat, was dem HERRN mißfiel. |

Howbeit the LORD would not destroy the house of David, because of the covenant that he had made with David, and as he promised to give a light to him and to his sons for ever.
| 7 Mas Jehová no quiso destruir la casa de David, a causa del pacto que había hecho con David, y porque le había dicho que le daría lámpara a él y a sus hijos perpetuamente. | 7 Aber der HERR wollte das Haus David nicht verderben um des Bundes willen, den er mit David geschlossen hatte, und wie er ihm zugesagt hatte, ihm eine Leuchte zu geben und seinen Söhnen immerdar. |

In his days the Edomites revolted from under the dominion of Judah, and made themselves a king.
| 8 En los días de éste se rebeló Edom contra el dominio de Judá, y pusieron rey sobre sí. | 8 Zu seiner Zeit fielen die Edomiter von Juda ab und setzten einen König über sich. |

Then Jehoram went forth with his princes, and all his chariots with him: and he rose up by night, and smote the Edomites which compassed him in, and the captains of the chariots.
| 9 Entonces pasó Joram con sus príncipes, y todos sus carros; y se levantó de noche, y derrotó a los edomitas que le habían sitiado, y a todos los comandantes de los carros. | 9 Da zog Joram hin mit seinen Obersten und alle Wagen mit ihm, und er machte sich des Nachts auf und schlug die Edomiter, die ihn umringt hatten, und die Obersten über die Wagen. |

So the Edomites revolted from under the hand of Judah unto this day. The same time also did Libnah revolt from under his hand; because he had forsaken the LORD God of his fathers.
| 10 No obstante, Edom se libertó del dominio de Judá, hasta hoy. También en el mismo tiempo Libna se libertó de su dominio, por cuanto él había dejado a Jehová el Dios de sus padres. | 10 Doch blieben die Edomiter abtrünnig von Juda bis auf diesen Tag. Zur selben Zeit fiel Libna auch von ihm ab; denn er hatte den HERRN, den Gott seiner Väter, verlassen. |

Moreover he made high places in the mountains of Judah, and caused the inhabitants of Jerusalem to commit fornication, and compelled Judah thereto.
| 11 Además de esto, hizo lugares altos en los montes de Judá, e hizo que los moradores de Jerusalén fornicasen tras ellos, y a ello impelió a Judá. | 11 Auch machte er Opferhöhen in den Städten Judas und verleitete die Einwohner von Jerusalem zur Abgötterei und verführte Juda. |

And there came a writing to him from Elijah the prophet, saying, Thus saith the LORD God of David thy father, Because thou hast not walked in the ways of Jehoshaphat thy father, nor in the ways of Asa king of Judah,
| 12 Le llegó una carta del profeta Elías, que decía: Jehová el Dios de David tu padre ha dicho así: Por cuanto no has andado en los caminos de Josafat tu padre, ni en los caminos de Asa rey de Judá, | 12 Es kam aber ein Brief zu ihm von dem Propheten Elia, der lautete: So spricht der HERR, der Gott deines Vaters David: Weil du nicht gewandelt bist in den Wegen deines Vaters Joschafat und nicht in den Wegen Asas, des Königs von Juda, |

But hast walked in the way of the kings of Israel, and hast made Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to go a whoring, like to the whoredoms of the house of Ahab, and also hast slain thy brethren of thy father's house, which were better than thyself:
| 13 sino que has andado en el camino de los reyes de Israel, y has hecho que fornicase Judá y los moradores de Jerusalén, como fornicó la casa de Acab; y además has dado muerte a tus hermanos, a la familia de tu padre, los cuales eran mejores que tú; | 13 sondern wandelst in dem Wege der Könige von Israel und verleitest Juda und die Bewohner von Jerusalem zur Abgötterei nach der Abgötterei des Hauses Ahab und weil du dazu erschlagen hast deine Brüder, deines Vaters Haus, die besser waren als du, |

Behold, with a great plague will the LORD smite thy people, and thy children, and thy wives, and all thy goods:
| 14 he aquí Jehová herirá a tu pueblo de una gran plaga, y a tus hijos y a tus mujeres, y a todo cuanto tienes; | 14 siehe, so wird dich der HERR mit einer großen Plage schlagen an deinem Volk, an deinen Kindern, an deinen Frauen und an aller deiner Habe. |

And thou shalt have great sickness by disease of thy bowels, until thy bowels fall out by reason of the sickness day by day.
| 15 y a ti con muchas enfermedades, con enfermedad de tus intestinos, hasta que se te salgan a causa de tu persistente enfermedad. | 15 Du aber wirst viel Krankheit haben in deinen Eingeweiden, bis über Jahr und Tag deine Eingeweide vor Krankheit heraustreten. |

Moreover the LORD stirred up against Jehoram the spirit of the Philistines, and of the Arabians, that were near the Ethiopians:
| 16 Entonces Jehová despertó contra Joram la ira de los filisteos y de los árabes que estaban junto a los etíopes; | 16 Und der HERR erweckte gegen Joram den Geist der Philister und Araber, die neben den Kuschitern wohnen. |

And they came up into Judah, and brake into it, and carried away all the substance that was found in the king's house, and his sons also, and his wives; so that there was never a son left him, save Jehoahaz, the youngest of his sons.
| 17 y subieron contra Judá, e invadieron la tierra, y tomaron todos los bienes que hallaron en la casa del rey, y a sus hijos y a sus mujeres; y no le quedó más hijo sino solamente Joacaz el menor de sus hijos. | 17 Und sie zogen herauf und brachen in Juda ein und führten alle Habe weg, die vorhanden war im Hause des Königs, dazu seine Söhne und seine Frauen, so daß ihm kein Sohn übrigblieb außer Joahas, seinem jüngsten Sohn. |

And after all this the LORD smote him in his bowels with an incurable disease.
| 18 Después de todo esto, Jehová lo hirió con una enfermedad incurable en los intestinos. | 18 Und nach dem allen plagte ihn der HERR mit einer Krankheit in seinen Eingeweiden; die war nicht zu heilen. |

And it came to pass, that in process of time, after the end of two years, his bowels fell out by reason of his sickness: so he died of sore diseases. And his people made no burning for him, like the burning of his fathers.
| 19 Y aconteció que al pasar muchos días, al fin, al cabo de dos años, los intestinos se le salieron por la enfermedad, muriendo así de enfermedad muy penosa. Y no encendieron fuego en su honor, como lo habían hecho con sus padres. | 19 Und als das über Jahr und Tag währte, bis die Zeit von zwei Jahren um war, traten in seiner Krankheit seine Eingeweide heraus, und er starb unter schlimmen Schmerzen. Und man machte keinen Brand ihm zu Ehren, wie man seinen Vätern getan hatte. |

Thirty and two years old was he when he began to reign, and he reigned in Jerusalem eight years, and departed without being desired. Howbeit they buried him in the city of David, but not in the sepulchres of the kings. | 20 Cuando comenzó a reinar era de treinta y dos años, y reinó en Jerusalén ocho años; y murió sin que lo desearan más. Y lo sepultaron en la ciudad de David, pero no en los sepulcros de los reyes. | 20 Zweiunddreißig Jahre alt war er, als er König wurde; und er regierte acht Jahre zu Jerusalem und ging dahin unbedauert. Und sie begruben ihn in der Stadt Davids, aber nicht in den Gräbern der Könige. |
