In the six and thirtieth year of the reign of Asa Baasha king of Israel came up against Judah, and built Ramah, to the intent that he might let none go out or come in to Asa king of Judah.
| 1 En el ańo treinta y seis del reinado de Asa, subió Baasa rey de Israel contra Judá, y fortificó a Ramá, para no dejar salir ni entrar a ninguno al rey Asa, rey de Judá. | 1 Im sechsunddreißigsten Jahr der Herrschaft Asas zog Bascha, der König von Israel, herauf gegen Juda und baute Rama aus, damit niemand bei Asa, dem König von Juda, aus- und eingehen sollte. |

Then Asa brought out silver and gold out of the treasures of the house of the LORD and of the king's house, and sent to Ben-hadad king of Syria, that dwelt at Damascus, saying,
| 2 Entonces sacó Asa la plata y el oro de los tesoros de la casa de Jehová y de la casa real y envió a Ben-adad rey de Siria, que estaba en Damasco, | 2 Aber Asa nahm aus dem Schatz im Hause des HERRN und aus dem Schatz im Hause des Königs Silber und Gold und sandte zu Ben-Hadad, dem König von Aram, der zu Damaskus herrschte, und ließ ihm sagen: |

There is a league between me and thee, as there was between my father and thy father: behold, I have sent thee silver and gold; go, break thy league with Baasha king of Israel, that he may depart from me.
| 3 Haya alianza entre tú y yo, como la hubo entre tu padre y mi padre; he aquí yo te he enviado plata y oro, para que vengas y deshagas la alianza que tienes con Baasa rey de Israel, a fin de que se retire de mí. | 3 Es ist ein Bund zwischen mir und dir, zwischen meinem und deinem Vater. Darum schicke ich dir Silber und Gold, daß du den Bund mit Bascha, dem König von Israel, aufgibst, damit er von mir abzieht. |

And Ben-hadad hearkened unto king Asa, and sent the captains of his armies against the cities of Israel; and they smote Ijon, and Dan, and Abel-maim, and all the store cities of Naphtali.
| 4 Y consintió Ben-adad con el rey Asa, y envió los capitanes de sus ejércitos contra las ciudades de Israel; y conquistaron Ijón, Dan, Abel-maim y todas las ciudades de aprovisionamiento de Neftalí. | 4 Ben-Hadad hörte auf die Bitte des Königs Asa und sandte seine Obersten gegen die Städte Israels; die schlugen Ijon, Dan und Abel-Majim und von Naftali alle Städte mit Kornspeichern. |

And it came to pass, when Baasha heard it, that he left off building of Ramah, and let his work cease.
| 5 Oyendo esto Baasa, cesó de edificar a Ramá, y abandonó su obra. | 5 Als Bascha das hörte, ließ er ab, Rama auszubauen, und hörte auf mit seinem Werk. |

Then Asa the king took all Judah; and they carried away the stones of Ramah, and the timber thereof, wherewith Baasha was building; and he built therewith Geba and Mizpah.
| 6 Entonces el rey Asa tomó a todo Judá, y se llevaron de Ramá la piedra y la madera con que Baasa edificaba, y con ellas edificó a Geba y Mizpa. | 6 Aber der König Asa bot ganz Juda auf, und sie nahmen die Steine und das Holz von Rama weg, womit Bascha gebaut hatte, und er baute damit Geba und Mizpa aus. |

And at that time Hanani the seer came to Asa king of Judah, and said unto him, Because thou hast relied on the king of Syria, and not relied on the LORD thy God, therefore is the host of the king of Syria escaped out of thine hand.
| 7 En aquel tiempo vino el vidente Hanani a Asa rey de Judá, y le dijo: Por cuanto te has apoyado en el rey de Siria, y no te apoyaste en Jehová tu Dios, por eso el ejército del rey de Siria ha escapado de tus manos. | 7 Zu der Zeit kam der Seher Hanani zu Asa, dem König von Juda, und sprach zu ihm: Weil du dich auf den König von Aram verlassen hast und nicht auf den HERRN, deinen Gott, darum ist das Heer des Königs von Aram deiner Hand entronnen. |

Were not the Ethiopians and the Lubims a huge host, with very many chariots and horsemen? yet, because thou didst rely on the LORD, he delivered them into thine hand.
| 8 Los etíopes y los libios, żno eran un ejército numerosísimo, con carros y mucha gente de a caballo? Con todo, porque te apoyaste en Jehová, él los entregó en tus manos. | 8 Hatten nicht die Kuschiter und Libyer eine große Heeresmacht mit sehr viel Wagen und Reitern? Doch der HERR gab sie in deine Hand, da du dich auf ihn verließest. |

For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars.
| 9 Porque los ojos de Jehová contemplan toda la tierra, para mostrar su poder a favor de los que tienen corazón perfecto para con él. Locamente has hecho en esto; porque de aquí en adelante habrá más guerra contra ti. | 9 Denn des HERRN Augen schauen alle Lande, daß er stärke, die mit ganzem Herzen bei ihm sind. Du hast töricht getan, darum wirst du auch von nun an Krieg haben. |

Then Asa was wroth with the seer, and put him in a prison house; for he was in a rage with him because of this thing. And Asa oppressed some of the people the same time.
| 10 Entonces se enojó Asa contra el vidente y lo echó en la cárcel, porque se encolerizó grandemente a causa de esto. Y oprimió Asa en aquel tiempo a algunos del pueblo. | 10 Aber Asa wurde zornig über den Seher und legte ihn ins Gefängnis; denn er grollte ihm darüber. Auch bedrückte er zu dieser Zeit einige vom Volk. |

And, behold, the acts of Asa, first and last, lo, they are written in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel.

And Asa in the thirty and ninth year of his reign was diseased in his feet, until his disease was exceeding great: yet in his disease he sought not to the LORD, but to the physicians.
| 12 En el ańo treinta y nueve de su reinado, Asa enfermó gravemente de los pies, y en su enfermedad no buscó a Jehová, sino a los médicos. | 12 Und Asa wurde krank an seinen Füßen im neununddreißigsten Jahr seiner Herrschaft, und seine Krankheit nahm sehr zu; und er suchte auch in seiner Krankheit nicht den HERRN, sondern die Ärzte. |

And Asa slept with his fathers, and died in the one and fortieth year of his reign.

And they buried him in his own sepulchres, which he had made for himself in the city of David, and laid him in the bed which was filled with sweet odours and divers kinds of spices prepared by the apothecaries' art: and they made a very great burning for him. | 14 Y lo sepultaron en los sepulcros que él había hecho para sí en la ciudad de David; y lo pusieron en un ataúd, el cual llenaron de perfumes y diversas especias aromáticas, preparadas por expertos perfumistas; e hicieron un gran fuego en su honor. | 14 Und man begrub ihn in seinem Grabe, das er sich in der Stadt Davids hatte aushauen lassen. Und sie legten ihn auf sein Lager, das man mit gutem Räucherwerk und allerlei kunstvoll zubereiteter Spezerei gefüllt hatte, und sie machten ihm zu Ehren einen sehr großen Brand. |
