And the Spirit of God came upon Azariah the son of Oded:
| 1 Vino el Espíritu de Dios sobre Azarías hijo de Oded, | 1 Und auf Asarja, den Sohn Odeds, kam der Geist Gottes. |

And he went out to meet Asa, and said unto him, Hear ye me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin; The LORD is with you, while ye be with him; and if ye seek him, he will be found of you; but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you.
| 2 y salió al encuentro de Asa, y le dijo: Oídme, Asa y todo Judá y Benjamín: Jehová estará con vosotros, si vosotros estuviereis con él; y si le buscareis, será hallado de vosotros; mas si le dejareis, él también os dejará. | 2 Da zog er hinaus Asa entgegen und sprach zu ihm: Höret mir zu, Asa und ganz Juda und Benjamin! Der HERR ist mit euch, weil ihr mit ihm seid; und wenn ihr ihn sucht, wird er sich von euch finden lassen. Werdet ihr ihn aber verlassen, so wird er euch auch verlassen. |

Now for a long season Israel hath been without the true God, and without a teaching priest, and without law.
| 3 Muchos días ha estado Israel sin verdadero Dios y sin sacerdote que enseñara, y sin ley; | 3 Lange Zeit hindurch war Israel ohne rechten Gott, ohne Priester, der da lehrte, und ohne Gesetz. |

But when they in their trouble did turn unto the LORD God of Israel, and sought him, he was found of them.
| 4 pero cuando en su tribulación se convirtieron a Jehová Dios de Israel, y le buscaron, él fue hallado de ellos. | 4 Als sie sich aber in ihrer Not zu dem HERRN, dem Gott Israels, bekehrten und ihn suchten, ließ er sich von ihnen finden. |

And in those times there was no peace to him that went out, nor to him that came in, but great vexations were upon all the inhabitants of the countries.
| 5 En aquellos tiempos no hubo paz, ni para el que entraba ni para el que salía, sino muchas aflicciones sobre todos los habitantes de las tierras. | 5 Zu der Zeit gab es keine Sicherheit für den, der aus- und einging; denn es war große Verwirrung bei allen, die in diesen Ländern wohnten. |

And nation was destroyed of nation, and city of city: for God did vex them with all adversity.
| 6 Y una gente destruía a otra, y una ciudad a otra ciudad; porque Dios los turbó con toda clase de calamidades. | 6 Denn ein Volk zerschlug das andere und eine Stadt die andere; denn Gott erschreckte sie mit Ängsten aller Art. |

Be ye strong therefore, and let not your hands be weak: for your work shall be rewarded.
| 7 Pero esforzaos vosotros, y no desfallezcan vuestras manos, pues hay recompensa para vuestra obra. | 7 Ihr aber, seid getrost und laßt eure Hände nicht sinken; denn euer Werk hat seinen Lohn. |

And when Asa heard these words, and the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he took courage, and put away the abominable idols out of all the land of Judah and Benjamin, and out of the cities which he had taken from mount Ephraim, and renewed the altar of the LORD, that was before the porch of the LORD.
| 8 Cuando oyó Asa las palabras y la profecía del profeta Azarías hijo de Oded, cobró ánimo, y quitó los ídolos abominables de toda la tierra de Judá y de Benjamín, y de las ciudades que él había tomado en la parte montañosa de Efraín; y reparó el altar de Jehová que estaba delante del pórtico de Jehová. | 8 Als aber Asa diese Worte hörte und die Weissagung, die der Prophet Asarja, der Sohn Odeds, gesprochen hatte, ward er getrost, und er tat weg die greulichen Götzen aus dem ganzen Lande Juda und Benjamin und aus den Städten, die er auf dem Gebirge Ephraim erobert hatte, und erneuerte den Altar des HERRN, der vor der Vorhalle des HERRN stand. |

And he gathered all Judah and Benjamin, and the strangers with them out of Ephraim and Manasseh, and out of Simeon: for they fell to him out of Israel in abundance, when they saw that the LORD his God was with him.
| 9 Después reunió a todo Judá y Benjamín, y con ellos los forasteros de Efraín, de Manasés y de Simeón; porque muchos de Israel se habían pasado a él, viendo que Jehová su Dios estaba con él. | 9 Und er versammelte ganz Juda und Benjamin und alle aus Ephraim, Manasse und Simeon, die bei ihnen wohnten; denn es fiel ihm eine große Menge aus Israel zu, als sie sahen, daß der HERR, sein Gott, mit ihm war. |

So they gathered themselves together at Jerusalem in the third month, in the fifteenth year of the reign of Asa.
| 10 Se reunieron, pues, en Jerusalén, en el mes tercero del año decimoquinto del reinado de Asa. | 10 Und sie versammelten sich in Jerusalem im dritten Monat des fünfzehnten Jahres der Herrschaft Asas |

And they offered unto the LORD the same time, of the spoil which they had brought, seven hundred oxen and seven thousand sheep.
| 11 Y en aquel mismo día sacrificaron para Jehová, del botín que habían traído, setecientos bueyes y siete mil ovejas. | 11 und opferten dem HERRN am selben Tage von der Beute, die sie hergebracht hatten, siebenhundert Rinder und siebentausend Schafe. |

And they entered into a covenant to seek the LORD God of their fathers with all their heart and with all their soul;
| 12 Entonces prometieron solemnemente que buscarían a Jehová el Dios de sus padres, de todo su corazón y de toda su alma; | 12 Und sie traten in den Bund, den HERRN, den Gott ihrer Väter, zu suchen von ganzem Herzen und von ganzer Seele. |

That whosoever would not seek the LORD God of Israel should be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman.
| 13 y que cualquiera que no buscase a Jehová el Dios de Israel, muriese, grande o pequeño, hombre o mujer. | 13 Wer aber den HERRN, den Gott Israels, nicht suchen würde, sollte sterben, klein und groß, Mann und Frau. |

And they sware unto the LORD with a loud voice, and with shouting, and with trumpets, and with cornets.
| 14 Y juraron a Jehová con gran voz y júbilo, al son de trompetas y de bocinas. | 14 Und sie schworen dem HERRN mit lauter Stimme, unter Freudengeschrei und unter Trompeten- und Posaunenschall. |

And all Judah rejoiced at the oath: for they had sworn with all their heart, and sought him with their whole desire; and he was found of them: and the LORD gave them rest round about.
| 15 Todos los de Judá se alegraron de este juramento; porque de todo su corazón lo juraban, y de toda su voluntad lo buscaban, y fue hallado de ellos; y Jehová les dio paz por todas partes. | 15 Und ganz Juda war fröhlich über den Schwur; denn sie hatten geschworen von ganzem Herzen, und sie suchten den Herrn mit ganzem Willen, und er ließ sich von ihnen finden. Und der HERR gab ihnen Ruhe ringsumher. |

And also concerning Maachah the mother of Asa the king, he removed her from being queen, because she had made an idol in a grove: and Asa cut down her idol, and stamped it, and burnt it at the brook Kidron.
| 16 Y aun a Maaca madre del rey Asa, él mismo la depuso de su dignidad, porque había hecho una imagen de Asera; y Asa destruyó la imagen, y la desmenuzó, y la quemó junto al torrente de Cedrón. | 16 Auch setzte der König Asa seine Mutter Maacha ab, daß sie nicht mehr Herrin war, weil sie der Aschera ein Greuelbild gemacht hatte. Und Asa zerschlug ihr Greuelbild und zermalmte es und verbrannte es am Bach Kidron. |

But the high places were not taken away out of Israel: nevertheless the heart of Asa was perfect all his days.
| 17 Con todo esto, los lugares altos no eran quitados de Israel, aunque el corazón de Asa fue perfecto en todos sus días. | 17 Aber die Opferhöhen in Israel wurden nicht entfernt; doch war das Herz Asas rechtschaffen sein Leben lang. |

And he brought into the house of God the things that his father had dedicated, and that he himself had dedicated, silver, and gold, and vessels.
| 18 Y trajo a la casa de Dios lo que su padre había dedicado, y lo que él había consagrado, plata, oro y utensilios. | 18 Und er brachte ins Haus Gottes, was sein Vater geheiligt und was er geheiligt hatte, Silber, Gold und Gefäße. |

And there was no more war unto the five and thirtieth year of the reign of Asa. | 19 Y no hubo más guerra hasta los treinta y cinco años del reinado de Asa. | 19 Und es war kein Krieg bis in das fünfunddreißigste Jahr der Herrschaft Asas. |
